The 6Li(3He, pα)4He reaction was studied experimentally at 3.5, 4.4 and 5.5 MeV in the quasi-free reaction kinematical region. The effects of a resonance in the virtual 2H(3He, p)4He reaction on the three-body reaction cross section were investigated. 相似文献

The radiative capture cross sections for 3He(α, γ)7Be and 3He(α, γ)7Li at astrophysical energies have been studied microscopically in terms of the resonating group method. It was found that the astrophysical S-factors correlate strongly to the nuclear size and deformation of 7Be and 7Li. With the help of measured nuclear properties of these nuclei, a safety range of the absolute values of the S-factor was determined; the most recommended S(0)-values are 0.50 ± 0.03 keV · b for the 3He(α, γ)7Be reaction and 0.098 ± 0.006 keV · b for the 3H(α, γ)7Li reaction. 相似文献

The capture reaction 12C(α, γ)16O has been investigated at E = 0.94 to 2.84 MeV with the use of an intense α beam and implanted 12C targets of high isotopic purity. The studies involved NaI(Tl) crystals and, for the first time, germanium detectors. The measurement of absolute cross sections, γ-ray angular distributions and excitation functions is reported. A cross section of 48 pb is found at E = 0.94 MeV. The data provide information on the E1 and E2 capture amplitudes involved in the transition to the ground state as well as to excited states. The S-factor at stellar energies has been determined by means of theoretical fits. The results verify the previous report of a substantial higher S-value compared to the value recommended in 1975. The present uncertainty in the S-value as well as possible improvements are discussed. This S-value is of crucial importance to nuclear astrophysics. 相似文献

The absolute cross section of the fusion reaction
10B(p, 1)7
has been measured at the c.m. energy range E=48 to 159 keV via the 429 keV secondary -ray transition. The studies involved high proton currents and thick solid
10Btargets. The resulting cross sections have the same energy dependence as those of the
10B(p,0)7Bereaction but they are lower by a factor 600.Supported in part by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (Ro429/18-2 and Ro429/21-3), the Landesamt Nordrhein Westfalen (IVA5-10600387), and the Comision Intel-ministerial de Ciencia y Technologia (AEN90-0932). 相似文献

There may be unique (“smoking-gun”) signatures of the breakdown of CPT symmetry, induced in some models of Quantum Gravity entailing decoherence for quantum matter. Such effects can be observed in entangled states of neutral mesons via modifications of the respective Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) correlators (“ω-effect”). In the talk I discuss experimental signatures and bounds of the ω-effect in Φ- and B-factories, and argue that the effect might be falsifiable at the next generation facilities. 相似文献

The triple differential cross sections for the 6Li(e,e′p) reaction have been measured in the excitation energy range from 27 to 46 MeV in a search for evidence of the giant dipole resonance (GDR) in 6Li. The cross sections have no distinct structures in this energy region, and decrease smoothly with the energy transfer. Angular distributions are different from those expected with the GDR. Protons are emitted strongly in the momentum-transfer direction. The data are well reproduced by a DWIA calculation assuming a direct proton knockout process. 相似文献

p=80 keV can be accounted for by considering the low-energy tail of the p-wave resonance atE
p=441 keV. It is shown that the cross section and analyzing power data require an order-of-magnitude more p-wave strength when considered together. This work was supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of High Energy and Nuclear Physics, under Contract No. DEFG05-91-ER40619. 相似文献

Excitation functions have been measured for the reaction 39K(α, p)42Ca over the energy range 4.5–9.0 MeV. Cross sections have been extracted from the data for individual proton groups and for aggregates of proton groups. These are compared with statistical-model calculations based on global optical model parameters. The overall agreement is good to within a factor of 1.5. The data and the statistical-model results are used in calculations of thermonuclear reaction rates for temperatures of astrophysical interest. 相似文献

In the present work we report on a new measurement of resonance strengths ωγ in the reaction 25Mg(p, γ)26Al at Ecm=92 and 189 keV. This study was performed at the LUNA facility in the Gran Sasso underground laboratory using a 4π BGO summing crystal. For the first time the 92 keV resonance was directly observed and a resonance strength ωγ=(2.9±0.6)×10−10 eV was determined. Additionally, the γ-ray branchings and strength of the 189 keV resonance were studied with a high resolution HPGe detector yielding an ωγ value in agreement with the BGO measurement, but 20% larger compared to previous works. 相似文献

The two-body photodisintegration cross section of (4)He into a proton and triton was measured with monoenergetic photon beams in 0.5 MeV energy steps between 22 and 30 MeV. High-pressure (4)He-Xe gas scintillators of various (4)He/Xe ratios served as targets and detectors. Pure Xe gas scintillators were used for background studies. A NaI detector together with a plastic scintillator paddle was employed for determining the incident photon flux. Our comprehensive data set follows the trend of the theoretical calculations of the Trento group very well, although our data are consistently lower in magnitude by about 5%. However, they differ significantly from the majority of the previous data, especially from the recent data of Shima et al. The latter data had put into question the validity of theoretical approaches used to calculate core-collapse supernova explosions and big-bang nucleosynthesis abundances of certain light nuclei. 相似文献

There exists significant disagreement in the magnitude of the low-energy region of the 14N(γ, n) cross section as measured by three different methods: direct neutron detection, induced activity, and neutron time of flight. This paper reports two measurements of this reaction cross section, one from threshold at 16.5 MeV using an activation method, and the other from threshold to 15.5 MeV by directly detecting the emitted neutrons. The results resolve the discrepancies. 相似文献

Differential (γ, pi) cross sections on 16O and 40Ca have been calculated within a single-particle direct knock-out model, for photon energies between 40 and 400 MeV. It is shown that generating the bound and scattered states in a Skyrme Hartree-Fock (HF) mean-field, one can account for the global features of the data. Hereby, the role of the velocity-dependent part of the nucleon-nucleon interaction is emphasized. 相似文献

The 3He(4He, γ)7Be and 3H(4He, γ)7Li reactions are studied in an extended two-cluster model which contains α + h/t and 6Li + p/n clusterizations. We show that the inclusion of the 6Li + p/n channels can significantly change the zero-energy reaction cross sections, S(0), and other properties of the 7Be and 7Li nuclei, like the quadrupole moments Q. However, the results agree with the known correlation trend between S(0) and Q. Moreover, we demonstrate that the value of the zero-energy derivatives of the astrophysical S-factors are more uncertain than currently believed.

We calculate several “size-like” 8B observables within the microscopic three-cluster model and study their potential constraints on the zero-energy astrophysical S17(0) factor of the 7Be(p,γ)8B reaction. We find within our three-cluster model that a simultaneous reproduction of the experimental data for the 8B radius and quadrupole moment and of the 8B8Li Coulomb displacement energy implies S17(0) = (23–25) eV b. 相似文献

Ab initio calculation of the total cross section for the reactions 4He(γ, p)3H and 4He(γ, n)3He is presented, using state-of-the-art nuclear forces. The Lorentz integral transform (LIT) method is applied, which allows exact treatment of the final state interaction (FSI). The dynamic equations are solved using the effective interaction hyperspherical harmonics method. In this calculation of the cross sections the three-nucleon force is fully taken into account, except in the source term of the LIT equation for the FSI transition matrix element. 相似文献

Three-Body Calculation of the 4He(aH,γ)7Li and 4He(aHe,γ)7Be Reactions and Structure of the 7Li and 7Be at Solar Energies 下载免费PDF全文
The two 3H+4He and 3He+4He fusion reactions at low energies are usually viewed as an approximate external capture process. We study the 4He(3H,γ)rLi and 4He(SHe,γ)7Be reactions in a cluster model, which can take into account two- and three-body electromagnetic currents, using minimal substitution in the explicit momentum dependence of the two- and three-cluster interactions. Our main goal is to explore how the cross section of the low-energy 3H+4He or 3He+4He capture reactions depends on energy. The astrophysical S-factors for these reactions are calculated at very low energies. We construct the conserved realistic Argonne v18 for two nucleons and Urbana IX or Tucson-Melbourne three-cluster interactions, which are considered for calculation. We also calculate the binding energies and the structural properties of a Hq-4He or 3He+4 He systems. The binding energies are found to be -37.72 (-36.32) MeV and -39.35 (-37.43) MeV, with (without) three-body interactions for 7Be and 7 Li, in satisfactory agreement with other theoretical results and experimental data, respectively. 相似文献
