Killing form plays a key role in the theory of semisimple Lie algebras. It is natural to extend the study to Lie algebras with a nondegenerate symmetric invariant bilinear form. Such a Lie algebra is generally called a quadratic Lie algebra which occur naturally in physics^[10,12,13]. Besides semisimple Lie algebras, interesting quadratic Lie algebras include the Kac-Moody algebras and the Extended Affine Lie algebras. In this paper, we study solvable quadratic Lie algebras. In Section 1, we study quadratic solvable Lie algebras whose Cartan subalgebras consist of semi-simple elements. In Section 2,we present a procedure to construct a class of quadratic Lie algebras, and we can exhaust all solvable quadratic Lie algebras in such a way. All Lie algebras mentioned in this paper are finite dimensional Lie algebras over a field F of characteristic 0.  相似文献

In this paper, we study some properties of the finite dimensional characteristic semi-simple (C.S.S.) Lie algebras and completely semi-simple Lie algebras over any field. The definitions and some results of these algebras have been given by G.B.Seligman in [1]. In this paper, we give Maurer-Cartan characterizations as well as a cohomology theory for compatible Lie algebras. Explicitly, we first introduce the notion of a bidifferential graded Lie algebra and thus give Maurer-Cartan characterizations of compatible Lie algebras. A Lie algebra endowed with a nondegenerate, symmetric, invariant bilinear form is called a quadratic Lie algebra. In this paper, the author investigates the structure of solvable quadratic Lie algebras, in particular, the solvable quadratic Lie algebras whose Cartan subalgebras consist of semi-simple elements, the author presents a procedure to construct a class of quadratic Lie algebras from the point of view of cohomology and shows that all solvable quadratic Lie algebras can be obtained in this way.  相似文献

The well-known tower theorem of groups (resp. Lie algebras) shows that the tower of automorphism groups (resp. derivation algebras) of a finite group (resp. a finite dimensional Lie algebra) with trivial center terminates after finitely many steps. We generalize these results for Lie rings, and present some necessary and sufficient conditions for Lie rings to be complete.  相似文献

The authors consider a family of finite-dimensional Lie superalgebras of O-type over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p 3. It is proved that the Lie superalgebras of ■-type are simple and the spanning sets are determined. Block introduced certain analogues of the Zassenhaus algebras over a field of characteristic 0. The nongraded infinite-dimensional simple Lie algebras of Block type constructed by Xu can be viewed as generalizations of the Block algebras. In this paper, we construct a family of irreducible modules in terms of multiplication and differentiation operators on "polynomials" for four-devivation nongraded Lie algebras of Block type based on the finite-dimensional irreducible weight modules with multiplicity one of general linear Lie algebras. In the present paper we describe a specialization of prinjective Ringel-Hall algebra to 1, for prinjective modules over incidence algebras of posets of finite prinjective type, by generators and relations.
