We classify nonoperatorial matrices K solving the Skylanin quantum reflection equation for all R-matrices obtained from the newly defined general rank-n Hadamard-type representations of the Temperley-Lieb algebra TLN(√n). They are characterized by a universal set of algebraic equations in a specific canonical basis uniquely defined by the “master matrix” associated with the chosen realization of the Temperley-Lieb algebra.  相似文献

We prove that the cell modules of the affine Temperley-Lieb algebra have the same composition factors, when regarded as modules for the affine Hecke algebra of type A, as certain standard modules which are defined homologically. En route, we relate these to the cell modules of the Temperley-Lieb algebra of type B, which provides a connection between Temperley-Lieb algebras on n and n−1 strings. Applications include the explicit determination of some decomposition numbers of standard modules at roots of unity, which in turn has implications for certain Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials associated with nilpotent orbit closures. The methods involve the study of the relationships among several algebras defined by concatenation of braid-like diagrams and between these and Hecke algebras. Connections are made with earlier work of Bernstein-Zelevinsky on the “generic case” and of Jones on link invariants.  相似文献

In this article we show how to use some results of G. E. Murphy on the so-called standard basis of Hecke-Algebras of Type A to derive a similar basis for generalized Temperley-Lieb algebras. This standard basis is compared to the usual diagrammatic basis of the original Temperley-Lieb algebra used in knot theory and statistical physics.  相似文献

A Hilbert module over a planar algebra P is essentially a Hilbert module over a canonically defined algebra spanned by the annular tangles in P. It follows that any planar algebra Q containing P is a module over P, and in particular, any subfactor planar algebra is a module over the Temperley-Lieb planar algebra with the same modulus. We describe a positivity result that allows us to describe irreducible Temperley-Lieb planar algebra modules, and apply the result to decompose the planar algebras determined by the Coxeter graphs An (n?3), Dn (n?4), E6, E7, and E8.  相似文献

We construct new sets of rank n-representations of the Temperley-Lieb algebra TLN(q) that are characterized by two matrices with a generalized complex Hadamard property. The authors first construct an explicit minimal projective bimodule resolution(P, δ) of the Temperley-Lieb algebra A, and then apply it to calculate the Hochschild cohomology groups and the cup product of the Hochschild cohomology ring of A based on a comultiplicative map Δ:P → PAP. As a consequence, the authors determine the multiplicative structure of Hochschild cohomology rings of both Temperley-Lieb algebras and representation-finite q-Schur algebras under the cup product by giving an explicit presentation by generators and relations.  相似文献

A reducible representation of the Temperley-Lieb algebra is constructed on a tensor product of n-dimensional spaces. As a centralizer of this action, we obtain a quantum algebra (quasi-triangular Hopf algebra) with the representation ring that is equivalent to the representation ring of the Lie algebra. In this paper we consider the question of faithfulness of the Jones' representation of braid group Bn into the Temperley-Lieb algebra TLn. The obvious motivation to study this problem is that any non-trivial element in the kernel of this representation (for any n) would almost certainly yield a non-trivial knot with trivial Jones polynomial (see [S. Bigelow, Does the Jones polynomial detect the unknot? J. Knot Theory Ramifications 11 (4) (2002) 493-505], we will explain it in more detail in Section 1). As one of the two main results we prove Theorem 1 in which we present a method to obtain non-trivial elements in the kernel of the representation of B6 into TL9,2—to the authors' knowledge the first such examples in the second gradation of the Temperley-Lieb algebra. Theorem 2 which is a refinement of Theorem 1 may be used to produce smaller examples of the same kind. We also show briefly how some braids that are used in Section 4 to construct specific examples were generated with a computer program.  相似文献

We show how the treatment of cellularity in families of algebras arising from diagram calculi, such as Jones’ Temperley-Lieb wreaths, variants on Brauer’s centralizer algebras, and the contour algebras of Cox et al. (of which many algebras are special cases), may be unified using the theory of tabular algebras. This article gives a new interpretation of the virtual braid group in terms of a strict monoidal category SC that is freely generated by one object and three morphisms, two of the morphisms corresponding to basic pure virtual braids and one morphism corresponding to a transposition in the symmetric group. This point of view makes many relationships between the virtual braid group and the pure virtual braid group apparent, and makes representations of the virtual braid groups and pure virtual braid groups via solutions to the algebraic Yang–Baxter Equation equally transparent. In this categorical framework, the virtual braid group has nothing to do with the plane and nothing to do with virtual crossings. It is a natural group associated with the structure of algebraic braiding.  相似文献

We present several complete systems of integrability conditions on the density of the Hamiltonian of a spin chain matrix. The corresponding formulas for R-matrices are also given. The latter are expressed via the local Hamiltonian density in a form similar to spin one half XXX and XXZ models. The result is applied to the problem of integrability of SU(2) × SU(2)-and SU(2) × U(1)-invariant spin-orbital chains (the Kugel-Homskii-Inagaki model). Eight new integrable cases are found. One of these cases corresponds to the Temperley-Lieb algebra, three cases correspond to the algebra associated with the XXX model, one case corresponds to the algebra associated with the XXZ model, and one case corresponds to the algebra associated with the graded XXZ model. In this paper, the cellularity of twisted semigroup algebras over an integral domain is investigated by introducing the concept of cellular twisted semigroup algebras of type JH. Partition algebras, Brauer algebras and Temperley-Lieb algebras all are examples of cellular twisted semigroup algebras of type JH. Our main result shows that the twisted semigroup algebra of a regular semigroup is cellular of type JH with respect to an involution on the twisted semigroup algebra if and only if the twisted group algebras of certain maximal subgroups are cellular algebras. Here we do not assume that the involution of the twisted semigroup algebra induces an involution of the semigroup itself. Moreover, for a twisted semigroup algebra, we do not require that the twisting decomposes essentially into a constant part and an invertible part, or takes values in the group of units in the ground ring. Note that trivially twisted semigroup algebras are the usual semigroup algebras. So, our results extend not only a recent result of East, but also some results of Wilcox.  相似文献

We consider a universal representation for the Hamiltonian of systems in topologically ordered phase states. Airports continuously seek opportunities to reduce the security costs without negatively affecting passenger satisfaction. In this paper, we investigate the possibilities of implementing virtual queuing at airport security lanes, by offering some passengers a time window during which they can arrive to enter a priority queue. This process could result in a smoother distribution of arriving passengers, such that the required security personnel (costs) can be decreased. While this concept has received attention in a number of settings, such as theme parks, virtual queuing at airports bears an additional level of complexity related to the flight schedules, i.e., passengers can only be transferred forward in time to a limited extent, which we denote by the transfer time limit. We conducted a major simulation study in collaboration with a large international airport in Western Europe to determine the potential impact of virtual queuing and find that nearly one million Euro can be saved on security personnel cost without negatively impacting the passenger waiting time.  相似文献
