In this paper,the trial function method is extended to study the generalized nonlinear Schrdinger equation with timedependent coefficients.On the basis of a generalized traveling wave transformation and a trial function,we investigate the exact envelope traveling wave solutions of the generalized nonlinear Schrdinger equation with time-dependent coefficients.Taking advantage of solutions to trial function,we successfully obtain exact solutions for the generalized nonlinear Schrdinger equation with time-dependent coefficients under constraint conditions.  相似文献

By means of singularity structure analysis, the integrability of a generalized fifth-order KdV equation is investigated. It is proven that this equation passes the Painlevé test for integrability only for three distinct cases. Moreover, the multisoliton solutions are presented for this equation under three sets of integrable conditions. Finally, by selecting appropriate parameters, we analyze the evolution of two solitons, which is especially interesting as it may describe the overtaking and the head-on collisions of solitary waves of different shapes and different types.  相似文献

A class of analytical solitary-wave solutions to the generalized nonautonomous cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrdinger equation with time- and space-modulated coefficients and potentials are constructed using the similarity transformation technique. Constraints for the dispersion coefficient, the cubic and quintic nonlinearities, the external potential, and the gain (loss) coefficient are presented at the same time. Various shapes of analytical solitary-wave solutions which have important applications of physical interest are studied in detail, such as the solutions in Feshbach resonance management with harmonic potentials, Faraday-type waves in the optical lattice potentials, and localized solutions supported by the Gaussian-shaped nonlinearity. The stability analysis of the solutions is discussed numerically.  相似文献

By means of the reductive perturbation method, three types of generalized (2+1)-dimensional Kadomtsev--Petviashvili (KP) equations are derived from the baroclinic potential vorticity (BPV) equation, including the modified KP (mKP) equation, standard KP equation and cylindrical KP (cKP) equation. Then some solutions of generalized cKP and KP equations with certain conditions are given directly and a relationship between the generalized mKP equation and the mKP equation is established by the symmetry group direct method proposed by Lou et al. From the relationship and the solutions of the mKP equation, some solutions of the generalized mKP equation can be obtained. Furthermore, some approximate solutions of the baroclinic potential vorticity equation are derived from three types of generalized KP equations.  相似文献

The residual symmetry relating to the truncated Painlev′e expansion of the Kadomtsev–Petviashvili(KP) equation is nonlocal, which is localized in this paper by introducing multiple new dependent variables. By using the standard Lie group approach, new symmetry reduction solutions for the KP equation are obtained based on the general form of Lie point symmetry for the prolonged system. In this way, the interaction solutions between solitons and background waves are obtained, which are hard to find by other traditional methods.  相似文献

<正>This paper applies the variational iteration method to obtain approximate analytic solutions of a generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled Korteweg-de Vries(KdV) equation and a coupled modified Korteweg-de Vries(mKdV) equation. This method provides a sequence of functions which converges to the exact solution of the problem and is based on the use of the Lagrange multiplier for the identification of optimal values of parameters in a functional.Some examples are given to demonstrate the reliability and convenience of the method and comparisons are made with the exact solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, an improved element-free Galerkin (IEFG) method is proposed to solve the generalized fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries (gfKdV) equation. When the traditional element-free Galerkin (EFG) method is used to solve such an equation, unstable or even wrong numerical solutions may be obtained due to the violation of the consistency conditions of the moving least-squares (MLS) shape functions. To solve this problem, the EFG method is improved by employing the improved moving least-squares (IMLS) approximation based on the shifted polynomial basis functions. The effectiveness of the IEFG method for the gfKdV equation is investigated by using some numerical examples. Meanwhile, the motion of single solitary wave and the interaction of two solitons are simulated using the IEFG method.  相似文献

In this work, we propose an efficient generalization of the trial equation method introduced recently by Liu [Appl. Math. Comput. 217 (2011) 5866] to construct exact chirped traveling wave solutions of complex differential equations with variable coefficients. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been tested by applying it successfully to the quintic derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation with variable coefficients. As a result, a class of chirped soliton-like solutions including bright and kink solitons is derived for the first time. Compared with previous work of Liu in which unchirped solutions were given, we obtain exact chirped solutions which have nontrivial phase that varies as a function of the wave intensity. These localized structures characteristically exist due to a balance among the group-velocity dispersion, self-steepening and competing cubic-quintic nonlinearity. Parametric conditions for the existence of envelope solutions with nonlinear chirp are also presented. It is shown that the chirping can be effectively controlled through the variable parameters of group-velocity dispersion and self-steepening.  相似文献

This paper applies an extended auxiliary equation method to obtain exact solutions of the KdV equation with variable coefficients. As a result, solitary wave solutions, trigonometric function solutions, rational function solutions, Jacobi elliptic doubly periodic wave solutions, and nonsymmetrical kink solution are obtained. It is shown that the extended auxiliary equation method, with the help of a computer symbolic computation system, is reliable and effective in finding exact solutions of variable coefficient nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

In this Letter, we investigate explicitly exact solutions of the higher-dimensional generalized Boussinesq equation. We firstly reduce this equation to one nonlinear ODE and a set of two nonlinear homogeneous PDEs via semi-traveling wave similarity transformation. And then we study solutions of the obtained nonlinear ODE and the set of two nonlinear homogeneous PDEs, respectively. Finally, we can obtain many types of exact solutions of higher-dimensional generalized Boussinesq equation via the semi-traveling wave similarity transformations. Travelling wave-like solutions of the Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation with variable coefficients are studied using the solutions of Raccati equation. The solitary wave-like solution, the trigonometric periodic wave solution and the rational wave solution are obtained with a constraint between coefficients. The property of the solutions is numerically investigated. It is shown that the coefficients of the equation do not change the wave amplitude, but may change the wave velocity.   相似文献
