Gold nanoparticles (GNs) could be efficiently immobilized on binary mixed self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on a gold surface composed of 1,6-hexanedithiol and 1-octanethiol (nano-Au/SAMs gold electrode). This GN chemically modified electrode was used for electrochemical determination of ascorbic acid (AA) and dopamine (DA) in aqueous media. The result showed that the GN-modified electrode could clearly resolve the oxidation peaks of AA and DA, with a peak-to-peak separation (∆E p) of 110 mV enabling determination of AA and DA in the presence of each other. The linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 0.3–1.4 mM for AA and 0.2–1.2 mM for DA concentrations using differential pulse voltammetry. The detection limits (3σ) were 9.0 × 10−5 M for AA and 9.0 × 10−5 M for DA.  相似文献

LaFeO3 nanoparticles of approximately 22 nm in size were synthesized and characterized by XRD and TEM. A novel glassy carbon electrode modified with LaFeO3 nanoparticles was constructed and characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The modified electrode exhibited strong promoting effect and high stability toward the electrochemical oxidation of dopamine (DA), which gave reversible redox peaks with a formal potential of 0.145 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) in pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solution. The anodic peak current (measured by constant potential amperometry) increased linearly with the concentration of dopamine in the range from 1.5?×?10?7 to 8.0?×?10?4 M. The detection limit was 3.0?×?10?8 M. The relative standard deviation of eight successive scans was 3.47% for 1.0?×?10?6 M DA. The interference by ascorbic acid was eliminated efficiently. The method was used to determine DA in dopamine hydrochloride injections and showed excellent sensitivity and recovery.  相似文献

A novel carbon-nanofiber-modified carbon-paste electrode (CNF-CPE) was employed for the simultaneous determination of dopamine (DA), ascorbic acid (AA) and uric acid (UA) with good selectivity and high sensitivity. The CNFs were prepared by combination of electrospinning technique with thermal treatment method and were used without any pretreatment. In application to determination of DA, AA and UA in the ternary mixture, the pristine CNF-CPE exhibited well-separated differential pulse voltammetric peaks with high catalytic current. Low detection limits of 0.04 μM, 2 μM and 0.2 μM for DA, AA and UA were obtained, with the linear calibration curves over the concentration range 0.04–5.6 μM, 2–64 μM and 0.8–16.8 μM, respectively.  相似文献

The oxidation of phenosafranine at glassy carbon electrode gives rise to stable redox active electropolymerized film containing a polyazine moiety (poly(phenosafranine)). The redox response of the poly(phenosafranine) film was observed at the modified electrode at different pH and the pH dependence of the peak potential is 60 mV/pH, which is very close to the expected Nernstian behavior. The apparent diffusion coefficient (Dapp) of poly(phenosafranine) film was measured as 2.51 × 10−9 cm2/s. This film exhibits potent and persistent electron-mediating behavior followed by well-separated oxidation peaks towards ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA) and serotonin with activation overpotential, which is 200 mV lower than that of the bare electrode for AA oxidation. Using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) studies, the limit of detection of DA in the presence of AA is estimated to be in the submicromolar regime. This method has been used for determining DA and AA concentrations in real samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Pyrolytic graphite electrodes (PGE) were modified into dopamine solutions using phosphate buffer solutions, pH 10 and 6.5, as supporting electrolyte. The modification process involved a previous anodization of the working electrode at +1.5 V into 0.1 mol L−1 NaOH followed by other anodization step, in the same experimental conditions, into dopamine (DA) solutions. pH of the supporting electrolyte performed an important role in the production of a superficial melanin polymeric film, which permitted the simultaneous detection of ascorbic acid (AA), (DA) and uric acid (UA), ΔEAA-DA = 222 mV; ΔEAA-UA = 360 mV and ΔEDA-UA = 138 mV, avoiding the superficial poisoning effects. The calculated detection limits were: 1.4 × 10−6 mol L−1 for uric acid, 1.3 × 10−5 mol L−1 for ascorbic acid and 1.1 × 10−7 mol L−1 for dopamine, with sensitivities of (7.7 ± 0.5), (0.061 ± 0.001) and (9.5 ± 0.05) A mol−1 cm−2, respectively, with no mutual interference. Uric acid was determined in urine, blood and serum human samples after dilution in phosphate buffer and no additional sample pre-treatment was necessary. The concentration of uric acid in urine was higher than the values found in blood and serum and the recovery tests (92-102%) indicated that no matrix effects were observed.  相似文献

A novel polymer modified electrode is discussed in this paper. This resulting electrode can catalyze remarkably toward the electrochemical oxidations of dopamine (DA) and ascorbic acid (AA). Moreover, it can clearly discriminate the electrochemical oxidations of DA from that of AA based on their semi-derivative voltammograms. Hence, a simultaneous determination of DA and AA based on semi-derivative voltammetry at a poly(toluidine blue) modified electrode is suggested. The detection linear range for DA is 0.4 micromol L(-1)-1.5 mmol L(-1), and AA 0.2 micromol L(-1)-2.4 mmol L(-1), respectively. The resulting modified electrode was tentatively used to determine DA and AA in brain tissue.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective electrochemical method for the determination of dopamine using an Evans Blue polymer film modified on glassy carbon electrode was developed. The Evans blue polymer film modified electrode shows excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of dopamine in phosphate buffer solution (pH 4.5). The linear range of 1.0 x 10(-6)-3.0 x 10(-5) M and detection limit of 2.5 x 10(-7) M were observed in pH 4.5 phosphate buffer solutions. The interference studies showed that the modified electrode exhibits excellent selectivity in the presence of large excess of ascorbic acid and uric acid. The separation of the oxidation peak potentials for dopamine-ascorbic acid and dopamine-uric acid were about 182 mV and 180 mV, respectively. The differences are large enough to determine AA, DA and UA individually and simultaneously. This work provides a simple and easy approach to selectively detect dopamine in the presence of ascorbic acid and uric acid in physiological samples.  相似文献

A Nafion/ruthenium oxide pyrochlore chemically modified electrode (CME) was used for the selective determination of dopamine (DA) in the presence of a high concentration of ascorbic acid by square-wave voltammetry. Compared to a bare glassy carbon electrode, the CME exhibits an apparent shift of the oxidation potentials in cathodic direction and a marked enhancement of the current response. The selective sensing of DA is achieved by combining the electrocatalytic function of the ruthenium oxide pyrochlore catalyst with the charge-exclusion and preconcentration features of Nation. With a preconcentration time of 60 s at a potential of −0.3 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), linear calibration plots are obtained for dopamine in 0.1 M, phosphate buffer (pH 7.4) over 0–20 μM with a detection limit (3σ) of 0.1 μM.  相似文献

An expression of the selectivity value for the voltammetric determination of an ionic analyte in the presence of interfering component(s) at an electrode chemically modified with an ion-exchanger has been developed and applied to the analysis of a model metal-ion mixture. Using distribution coefficient values, the predicted selectivity value was calculated and compared with that obtained experimentally. The approach allows a choice of the ion-exchange resin and experimental conditions for a given analytical task.  相似文献

Detection of dopamine (DA) in the presence of excess of ascorbic acid (AA) has been demonstrated using a conducting polymer matrix, poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) film in neutral buffer (PBS 7.4) solution. The PEDOT film was deposited on a glassy carbon electrode by electropolymerization of EDOT from acetonitrile solution. Atomic force microscopy studies revealed that the electrodeposited film was found to be approximately 100 nm thick with a roughness factor of 2.6 nm. Voltammetric studies have shown catalytic oxidation of DA and AA on PEDOT modified electrode and can afford a peak potential separation of ∼0.2 V. It is speculated that the cationic PEDOT film interacts with the negatively charged ascorbate anion through favorable electrostatic interaction, which results in pre-concentration at a less anodic value. The positively charged DA tends to interact with the hydrophobic regions of PEDOT film through hydrophobic–hydrophobic interaction thus resulting in favorable adsorption on the polymer matrix. Further enhancement in sensitivity to micro molar level oxidation current for DA/AA oxidation was achieved by square wave voltammetry (SWV) which can detect DA at its low concentration of 1 μM in the presence of 1000 times higher concentration of AA (1 mM). Thus the PEDOT modified electrode exhibited a stable and sensitive response to DA in the presence of AA interference.  相似文献

This paper describes the simultaneous determination of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA), uric acid (UA) and xanthine (XN) using an ultrathin electropolymerized film of 2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole (p-ATD) modified glassy carbon (GC) electrode in 0.20 M phosphate buffer solution (pH 5.0). Bare GC electrode failed to resolve the voltammetric signals of AA, DA, UA and XN in a mixture. On the other hand, the p-ATD modified electrode separated the voltammetric signals of AA, DA, UA and XN with potential differences of 110, 152 and 392 mV between AA-DA, DA-UA and UA-XN, respectively and also enhanced their oxidation peak currents. The modified electrode could sense 5 μM DA and 10 μM each UA and XN even in the presence of 200 μM AA. The oxidation currents were increased from 30 to 300 μM for AA, 5 to 50 μM for DA and 10 to 100 μM for each UA and XN, and the lowest detection limit was found to be 2.01, 0.33, 0.19 and 0.59 μM for AA, DA, UA and XN, respectively (S/N = 3). The practical application of the present modified electrode was demonstrated by the determination of AA, UA and XN in human urine samples.  相似文献

A poly(caffeic acid) thin film was deposited on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode by potentiostatic technique in an aqueous solution containing caffeic acid. The poly(caffeic acid)-modified electrode was used for the determination of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA), and their mixture by cyclic voltammetry. This modified electrode exhibited a potent and persistent electron-mediating behavior followed by well-separated oxidation peaks toward AA and DA at a scan rate of 10 mV s−1 with a potential difference of 135 mV, which was large enough to determine AA and DA individually and simultaneously. The catalytic peak current obtained was linearly dependent on the AA and DA concentrations in the range of 2.0 × 10−5−1.2 × 10−3 and 1.0 × 10−6−4.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 in 0.15 mol L−1 phosphate buffer (pH 6.64). The detection limits for AA and DA were 9.0 × 10−6 and 4.0 × 10−7 mol L−1, respectively. The modified electrode shows good sensitivity, selectivity, and stability and has been applied to the determination of DA and AA in real samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The authors describe the fabrication of an interconnected edge-exposed graphene nanostructure via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of foliated graphene onto a network of alumina nanofibers. The fibers such obtained are shown to enable ultra-sensitive voltammetric determination of dopamine (DA), uric acid (UA) and ascorbic acid (AA). The electrode displays powerful and persistent electro oxidative behavior and excellent electron transport properties. Cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry demonstrate excellent selectively and sensitivity for AA, DA and UA, with typical peaks at ?0.08 V, +0.19 V, and +0.34 V (vs. SCE), respectively. Under optimum conditions, the calibration plots are linear in the 1–80 μM range for DA, in the 1–60 μM range for UA, and in the 0.5–60 μM range for UA, with detection limits of 0.47 μM, 0.28 μM and 0.59 μM, respectively. The sensor was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of DA and UA in the presence of AA in spiked urine sample.
Graphical abstract Material with high density of graphene foliates grown over highly aligned nano-dimensional ceramic fibers is used as electrode for simultaneous highly sensitive electrochemical determination of DA in the presence of UA and AA with a considerably low limit of detection.

A novel modified electrode was fabricated by a mixed-valent nickel hexacyanoferrate (NiHCF) and poly 1,5-diaminonaphthalene (PDAN) hybrid at glassy carbon (GC) electrode. The obtained NiHCF/PDAN/GC modified electrode was characterized using cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique and scanning electron microscope (SEM). This electrode showed excellent catalytic properties toward the electrooxidation of ascorbic acid (A.A), dopamine (D.A) and uric acid (U.A) in 0.1 M NaCl solution using CV and square wave voltammetry (SWV) techniques. The NiHCF/PDAN/GC modified electrode exhibits high sensitivity, selectivity and stability making it a suitable sensor for the simultaneous detection of A.A, U.A and D.A in single and ternary mixture solutions. Different analytical parameters such as low detection limit (LOD), low quantification limit, correlation coefficient (R) and linear dynamic range were reported and discussed. The NiHCF/PDAN/GC modified electrode exhibits linear responses to A.A, D.A and U.A in the range 600–1000, 600–1000 and 600–1000 µM, respectively. The LOD for A.A, D.A and U.A were 0.036, 0.034 and 0.037 µM, respectively. The analytical behavior of this sensor had been evaluated for the detection of A.A and U.A in human serum and urine samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Differential pulse and cyclic voltammetry were applied for the oxidation of mixture of uric acid and ascorbic acid at the surface of carbon paste/cobalt Schiff base composite electrode. The electrooxidation of these compounds at bare electrode is sluggish, and there is no suitable peak separation between them. However, using cobalt methyl salophen as modifier, two well-defined anodic waves with a considerable enhancement in the peak current and a remarkable peak potential separation near 315 mV are obtained. It can improve the kinetics of electron transfer for both compounds remarkably. All these improvements are created because of the electrocatalytic property of cobalt Schiff base complex. The effect of some parameters such as pH and scan rates were studied. All the anodic peak currents for the oxidation of ascorbic acid and uric acid shifted toward more negative potential with an increase in pH, revealing that protons have taken part in their electrode reaction processes. The best peak separation with appropriate current was obtained for pH 4.0. A linear range of 5.0?×?10?4 to 1.0?×?10?8 and 1.0?×?10?3 to 1.0?×?10?8 M with detection limit of 8.0?×?10?9 and 8.0?×?10?9 M was obtained for ascorbic acid and uric acid using differential pulse voltammetry at the surface of modified electrode, respectively. Analytical utility of the modified electrode has been examined successfully using human urine samples and vitamin C commercial tablets.  相似文献

A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with docosyltrimethylammonium chloride (DCTMACl) is used for simultaneous determination of dopamine (DA) and ascorbic acid (AA) using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) technique in 0.10 mol·L?1 phosphate buffer solution of pH 5.0. The cationic surfactant DCTMACl modified film has a positive charge. DA exists as the positively charged species, whereas AA is the negatively charged one in the solution. Thus, at DCTMACl film-modified GCE, the oxidation peak potential of AA shifts toward less negative potential and the peak current of AA increases a little, while the oxidation peak potential of DA shifts toward more positive potential and peak current decreases greatly in comparison with that on bare electrode. The two anodic peaks are separated around 200 mV. Under optimal conditions, the catalytic peak currents obtained from DPV increase linearly with concentrations of DA and AA in the ranges of 1.0?×?10?5 to 1.0?×?10?3?mol·L?1. This electrode has good reproducibility, high stability in its voltammetric response, and low detection limit (micromolar) for both AA and DA. The modified electrode has been applied to the determination of DA and AA in injection.  相似文献
