Fusion frames and g-frames in Hilbert spaces are generalizations of frames, and frames were extended to Banach spaces. In this article we introduce fusion frames, g-frames, Banach g-frames in Banach spaces and we show that they share many useful properties with their corresponding notions in Hilbert spaces. We also show that g-frames, fusion frames and Banach g-frames are stable under small perturbations and invertible operators.  相似文献

We define the notion of “stable Banach space” by a simple condition on the norm. We prove that ifE is a stable Banach space, then every subspace ofL p(E) (1≦p<∞) is stable. Our main result asserts that every infinite dimensional stable Banach space containsl p, for somep, 1≦p<∞. This is a generalization of a theorem due to D. Aldous: every infinite dimensional subspace ofL 1 containsl p, for somep in the interval [1, 2].  相似文献

In this paper, we estimate the stable ranks of a Banach algebra in terms of the stable ranks of its quotient algebra and ideal under the assumption that the quotient map splits. As an application, several results about the Bass and the connected stable ranks of nest algebras are obtained.  相似文献

The class of stable Banach spaces, inspired by the stability theory in mathematical logic, was introduced by Krivine and Maurey and provided the proper context for the abstract formulation of Aldous’ result of subspaces ofL 1. In this paper we study the wider class of weakly stable Banach spaces, where the exchangeability of the iterated limits occurs only for sequences belonging to weakly compact subsets, introduced independently by Garling (in an earlier unpublished version of his expository paper on stable Banach spaces brought recently to our attention) and by the authors. Taking into account Rosenthal’s application of the study of pointwise compact sets of Baire-1 functions (Rosenthal compact spaces) in the study of Banach spaces (for whichl 1 does not embed isomorphically) and of the study of Rosenthal compact sets by Rosenthal and Bourgain-Fremlin-Talagrand, we prove the following analogue of the Krivine-Maurey theorem for weakly stable spaces:If X is infinite dimensional and weakly stable then either l p for some p≧1or co embeds isomorphically in X (§1). Garling (in the above reference) proved this result under the additional assumption thatX* is separable. We also construct an example of a Banach spaceX which is weakly stable, without an equivalent stable norm, and such thatl 2 embeds isomorphically in every infinite dimensional subspace ofX (§3).  相似文献

The connected stable rank and the general stable rank are homotopy invariants for Banach algebras, whereas the Bass stable rank and the topological stable rank should be thought of as dimensional invariants. This paper studies the two homotopical stable ranks, viz. their general properties as well as specific examples and computations. The picture that emerges is that of a strong affinity between the homotopical stable ranks, and a marked contrast with the dimensional ones.  相似文献

Levy's strong law of large numbers is extended to the Banach space and Chover type laws of the iterated logarithm are proved for random variables which do not necessarilly belong to the domain of normal attraction of a stable law. Geometric stable laws have become an object of attention in recent publications dealing with heavy tailed modeling. Many applications require understanding geometric stable laws on infinite dimensional spaces. This paper studies geometric stable laws on Banach spaces, and their place in the more general family of geometric infinitely divisible laws. This paper provides a variety of sufficient conditions for the existence of a nonzero fixed point of a power-bounded linear operator defined on a real Banach space. In the case of power-bounded positive operators on a Banach lattice, among the conditions we provide are not being strongly stable along with commuting with a compact operator or being quasicompact. These results apply directly to Markov operators. In the case of an arbitrary power-bounded operator on a Hilbert space, being uniformly asymptotically regular and not strongly stable guarantees the existence of a nonzero fixed point.

We prove that the class of Banach spaces Y such that the pair(?_1, Y) has the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property for operators is stable under finite products when the norm of the product is given by an absolute norm. In this work we study maps of a Banach space near a fixed point. We show the existence and uniqueness of a class of local invariant sub-manifolds of the stable manifold which correspond to a spectral subspace satisfying a finite non-resonance condition of order and an overriding condition of order (condition (3) of Theorem 1). We study the dependence of these invariant manifolds on a parameter that lies in a Banach space. We also show that a local weak-stable manifold that satisfies these two conditions is unique in the class of maps. The uniqueness is due to the fact that our method does not require a cut-off function. An infinite dimensional Banach space does not always admit smooth cut-off functions. In this paper,we investigate a new perturbation theorem for the Moore-Penrose metric generalized inverses of a bounded linear operator in Banach space. The main tool in this paper is "the generalized Neumann lemma" which is quite different from the method in [12] where "the generalized Banach lemma" was used. By the method of the perturbation analysis of bounded linear operators,we obtain an explicit perturbation theorem and three inequalities about error estimates for the Moore-Penrose metric generalized inverse of bounded linear operator under the generalized Neumann lemma and the concept of stable perturbations in Banach spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we study small perturbations of a class of chaotic discrete systems in Banach spaces induced by snap-back repellers. If a map has a regular and non-degenerate snap-back repeller, then it still has a regular and non-degenerate snap-back repeller under a sufficiently small perturbation. Consequently, the perturbed system is still chaotic in the sense of both Devaney and Li–Yorke as the original one. Furthermore, in order to study structural stability of maps with regular and non-degenerate snap-back repellers, we first discuss structural stability of strictly A-coupled-expanding maps in Banach spaces. Applying this result, we show that a map with a regular and non-degenerate snap-back repeller in a Banach space is C 1 structurally stable on its chaotic invariant set.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to study operators naturally connected to Ergodic operators in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces, such as Uniform-Ergodic, Cesaro-bounded and Power-bounded operators, as well as stable and superstable operators. In particular, super-Ergodic operators are introduced and shown to be strictly between Ergodic and Uniform-Ergodic operators, and that any power bounded operator is super-Ergodic in a superreflexive space. New relationships between these operators are shown, others are proven to be optimal or can be ameliorated according to structural properties of the Banach space, such as the superreflexivity or with unconditional basis.

We study the stability under perturbations for delay difference equations in Banach spaces. Namely, we establish the (nonuniform) stability of linear nonuniform exponential contractions under sufficiently small perturbations. We also obtain a stable manifold theorem for perturbations of linear delay difference equations admitting a nonuniform exponential dichotomy, and show that the stable manifolds are Lipschitz in the perturbation.  相似文献

Spectral morphisms between Banach algebras are useful for comparing their K-theory and their “noncommutative dimensions” as expressed by various notions of stable ranks. In practice, one often encounters situations where the spectral information is only known over a dense subalgebra. We investigate such relatively spectral morphisms. We prove a relative version of the Density Theorem regarding isomorphism in K-theory. We also solve Swan's problem for the connected stable rank, in fact for an entire hierarchy of higher connected stable ranks that we introduce.  相似文献
