Zusammenfassung Bei der Mikrobestimmung von Ammonium fanden wir, daß Enzymsubstrate, Harnstoff, Kreatinin und Harnsäure an organischen Ionenaustauschharzen (z. B. Dowex) unspezifisch adsorbiert und zusammen mit Ammonium eluiert werden und die Berthélotsche Farbreaktion verfälschen. Aus diesem Grund wurde ein modifiziertes Permutit-Harz, das die oben genannten Substanzen nicht adsorbiert, in die Mikrobestimmung von Ammonium eingeführt.An Hand statistischer Analysen wurden mögliche Fehlerquellen untersucht. Die Zuverlässigkeit der Methode wurde statistisch nachgeprüft.

Microdetermination of ammonia

Summary We found in the microdetermination of ammonium that enzyme substrates, urea, creatinin and uric acid are adsorbed non-specifically on Dowex -Resin and other organic ion-exchange resins, e. g. Hyland ammonium determination kit. Eluted together with ammonium they falsify the Berthélot color reaction. Therefore a study was made of a modified permutite resin which does not adsorb the above-named substances. Introduced into the micro determination of ammonium possible sources of error were investigated on the basis of statistical analyses. The reliability of the method was checked statistically.

     

Mikrobestimmung von Kalium

Zusammenfassung Es wird eine Methode für die Bestimmung kleinster Kaliummengen beschrieben. Dabei wird das alte Prinzip benutzt, das Kalium als Chloroplatinat zu fällen und dieses nach Umwandlung in die entsprechende Jodverbindung mit Thiosulfat zu titrieren.Die Methode gestattet die Bestimmung von weniger als 10^–4 Milliäquivalenten Kalium in reinen Lösungen mit einem Fehler von etwa 1–210^–6 Milliäquivalent.Kombiniert mit dem vonK. Linderström-Lang ausgearbeiteten Verfahren kann die Methode auch für Gewebe verwendet werden.

Summary A method for the determination of minute quantities of potassium is described. Thereby the following well-known principle is used: Potassium is precipitated as chloroplatinate. This is transformed into the corresponding iodine compound which is titrated with thiosulphate.By means of this method, less than 10^–4 milli-equivalents of potassium can be determined in pure solutions, with an approximate error of 1–2 × 10^–6 milli-equivalents.This method, if combined with the procedure evolved byK. Linderström-Lang, may be applied to tissue, also.

Résumé Une méthode pour doser des quantités minimes de potassium est décrite. Elle s'appuie sur le vieux principe de précipiter le potassium sous forme de chloroplatinate, que l'on titre par thiosulfate, après l'avoir transformé en iodoplatinate.A l'aide de cette méthode, on peut doser, avec une erreur de 1–2 × 10^–6 milli-équivalents, environ, moins de 10^–4 milli-équivalents de potassium.Si l'on combine le procédé avec celui développé parK. Linderström-Lang, on peut s'en servir pour le dosage dans les tissus.
