A delayed three-species ratio-dependent predator-prey food-chain model without dominating instantaneous negative feedback is investigated. It is shown that the system is permanent under some appropriate conditions, and sufficient conditions are obtained for the local asymptotic stability of a positive equilibrium of the system.  相似文献

In the present paper, a mathematical model, originally proposed by Danziger and Elmergreen and describing the thyroid-pituitary homeostatic mechanism, is modified and analyzed for its physiological and clinical significance. The inuence of different system parameters on the stability behavior of the system is discussed. The transportation delays of different hormones in the bloodstream, both in the discrete and distributed forms, are considered. Delayed models are analyzed regarding the stability and bifurcation behavior. Clinical treatment of periodic catatonic schizophrenia is discussed in presence of transportation delays. In this paper, the issue of controllability for linear time-varying systems with multiple time delays in the control and impulsive effects is addressed. The solution of such systems based on the variation of parameters is derived. Several sufficient and necessary algebraic conditions for two kinds of controllability, i.e., controllability to the origin and controllability, are derived. The relation among these conditions are established. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

In this paper, the comprehensive national power model with time delays is studied. The condition that there is only one trivial equilibrium in the model is given. Based on the analysis of the distribution of the eigenvalues at the trivial equilibrium, it is found that the trivial equilibrium is a Bogdanov-Takens singularity. Using the center manifold theory and the normal form method, the normal form with delay and ratio parameters of the model is obtained. Furthermore, the topological structures of the model near the bifurcation point with the variation of these two parameters are given. The associated development situations of the comprehensive national power for some topological structures are discussed. Finally, some numerical simulations are performed to support the analytic results.  相似文献

In a recent, related, paper, necessary conditions in the form of a Maximum Principle were derived for optimal control problems with time delays in both state and control variables. Different versions of the necessary conditions covered fixed end-time problems and, under additional hypotheses, free end-time problems. These conditions improved on previous conditions in the following respects. They provided the first fully non-smooth Pontryagin Maximum Principle for problems involving delays in both state and control variables, only special cases of which were previously available. They provide a strong version of the Weierstrass condition for general problems with possibly non-commensurate control delays, whereas the earlier literature does so only under structural assumptions about the dynamic constraint. They also provided a new ‘two-sided’ generalized transversality condition, associated with the optimal end-time. This paper provides an extension of the Pontryagin Maximum Principle of the earlier paper for time delay systems, to allow for the presence of a unilateral state constraint. The new results fully recover the necessary conditions of the earlier paper when the state constraint is absent, and therefore retain all their advantages but in a setting of greater generality.  相似文献

The exponential stability (with convergence rate α) of uncertain linear systems with multiple time delays is studied in this paper. Using the characteristic function of linear time-delay system, stability criteria are derived to guarantee α-stability. Sufficient conditions are also obtained for exponential stability of uncertain parametric systems with multiple time delays. For two-dimensional time-invariant system with multiple time delays, the proposed stability criteria are shown to be less conservative than those in the literature. In this article, we study the problem of robust H performance analysis for a class of uncertain Markovian jump systems with mixed overlapping delays. Our aim is to present a new delay‐dependent approach such that the resulting closed‐loop system is stochastically stable and satisfies a prescribed H performance level χ. The jumping parameters are modeled as a continuous‐time, finite‐state Markov chain. By constructing new Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functionals, some novel sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the stochastic stability of the equilibrium point in the mean‐square. Numerical examples show that the obtained results in this article is less conservative and more effective. In this paper, we consider the effects of time delay on thelinear stability of the positive equilibrium of a reaction–diffusionmodel with time delayed nutrient recycling. We take the twodelay kernels as f(s) = (s), g(s) = p(0) + (1 – p)(r),s (0, +), r [0, +), 0 < p < 1, where is the Dirac deltafunction. When both N1 and N2 are space-independent, we canobserve that the increasing time delay destabilizes the positiveequilibrium, and stability-switches from stability to instabilityto stability occur. That is, for some special time delay kernels,the equilibrium is stable for small time delay, bifurcates towardsstable oscillations when the time delay is increased, then regainsstability for larger values. When both N1 and N2 are space-dependent,we are concerned with the effects of the delay kernels as wellas diffusion on the dynamics of the system.  相似文献

Based on Halanay inequality and continuation theorem of the coincidence degree, we obtain some sufficient conditions ensuring the existence, uniqueness, and global exponential stability of periodic solution. This paper reveals the dynamical behaviors of a network consisting of a pair of ring sub-networks and two-way couplings of neurons between the individual sub-networks. Time delays are introduced into the internal connections within the individual sub-networks and the couplings between the individual sub-networks. The stability and instability of the trivial equilibrium of the network are analyzed and the conditions for the existence of Hopf bifurcation are obtained by discussing the associated characteristic equation. The criterion for the global stability of the trivial equilibrium of the network is given by constructing a suitable Lyapunov functional. Numerical simulations are performed to validate the theoretical results and rich dynamical behaviors are observed, such as multiple stability switches of the network equilibrium, synchronous/asynchronous oscillations, and multi-stability.  相似文献
