Fuzzy linear programming with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (TrFNs) is considered and a new method is developed to solve it. In this method, TrFNs are used to capture imprecise or uncertain information for the imprecise objective coefficients and/or the imprecise technological coefficients and/or available resources. The auxiliary multi-objective programming is constructed to solve the corresponding possibility linear programming with TrFNs. The auxiliary multi-objective programming involves four objectives: minimizing the left spread, maximizing the right spread, maximizing the left endpoint of the mode and maximizing the middle point of the mode. Three approaches are proposed to solve the constructed auxiliary multi-objective programming, including optimistic approach, pessimistic approach and linear sum approach based on membership function. An investment example and a transportation problem are presented to demonstrate the implementation process of this method. The comparison analysis shows that the fuzzy linear programming with TrFNs developed in this paper generalizes the possibility linear programming with triangular fuzzy numbers.  相似文献

Linear programming (LP) is a widely used optimization method for solving real-life problems because of its efficiency. Although precise data are fundamentally indispensable in conventional LP problems, the observed values of the data in real-life problems are often imprecise. Fuzzy sets theory has been extensively used to represent imprecise data in LP by formalizing the inaccuracies inherent in human decision-making. The fuzzy LP (FLP) models in the literature generally either incorporate the imprecisions related to the coefficients of the objective function, the values of the right-hand-side, and/or the elements of the coefficient matrix. We propose a new method for solving FLP problems in which the coefficients of the objective function and the values of the right-hand-side are represented by symmetric trapezoidal fuzzy numbers while the elements of the coefficient matrix are represented by real numbers. We convert the FLP problem into an equivalent crisp LP problem and solve the crisp problem with the standard primal simplex method. We show that the method proposed in this study is simpler and computationally more efficient than two competing FLP methods commonly used in the literature.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to develop an effective method for solving matrix games with payoffs of triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs) which are arbitrary. In this method, it always assures that players’ gain-floor and loss-ceiling have a common TFN-type fuzzy value and hereby any matrix game with payoffs of TFNs has a TFN-type fuzzy value. Based on duality theorem of linear programming (LP) and the representation theorem for fuzzy sets, the mean and the lower and upper limits of the TFN-type fuzzy value are easily computed through solving the derived LP models with data taken from 1-cut set and 0-cut set of fuzzy payoffs. Hereby the TFN-type fuzzy value of any matrix game with payoffs of TFNs can be explicitly obtained. Moreover, we can easily compute the upper and lower bounds of any Alfa-cut set of the TFN-type fuzzy value for any matrix game with payoffs of TFNs and players’ optimal mixed strategies through solving the derived LP models at any specified confidence level Alfa. The proposed method in this paper is demonstrated with a numerical example and compared with other methods to show the validity, applicability and superiority.  相似文献

Fuzzy linear programs with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The objective of this paper is to deal with a kind of fuzzy linear programming problem involving symmetric trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Some important and interesting results are obtained which in turn lead to a solution of fuzzy linear programming problems without converting them to crisp linear programming problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we first extend the dual simplex method to a type of fuzzy linear programming problem involving symmetric trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. The results obtained lead to a solution for fuzzy linear programming problems that does not require their conversion into crisp linear programming problems. We then study the ranges of values we can achieve so that when changes to the data of the problem are introduced, the fuzzy optimal solution remains invariant. Finally, we obtain the optimal value function with fuzzy coefficients in each case, and the results are described by means of numerical examples.  相似文献

This paper presents a method for solving posynomial geometric programming with fuzzy coefficients. By utilizing comparison of fuzzy numbers with a method, the programming with fuzzy coefficients is reduced to the programming with constant coefficients. Then the programming with fuzzy coefficients can be solved by using a method for posynomial geometric programming. Finally, one comparative example is used to illustrate advantage of the new method.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to introduce a formulation of fuzzy linear programming problems involving the level (hL,hU)(hL,hU)-interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers as parameters. Indeed, such a formulation is the general form of trapezoidal fuzzy number linear programming problems. Then, it is demonstrated that study of the sensitivity analysis for the level (hL,hU)(hL,hU)-interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy number linear programming problems gives rise to the same expected results as those obtained for trapezoidal fuzzy number linear programming problems.  相似文献

In this paper we study cooperative games with fuzzy payoffs. The main advantage of the approach presented is the incorporation into the analysis of the problem of ambiguity inherent in many real-world collective decision situations. We propose extensions of core concepts which maintain the fuzzy nature of allocations, and lead to a more satisfactory study of the problem within the fuzzy context. Finally, we illustrate the extended core concepts and the approach to obtain the corresponding allocations through the analysis of assignment games with uncertain profits.  相似文献

In this paper, a multiple-objective linear problem is derived from a zero-sum multicriteria matrix game. It is shown that the set of efficient solutions of this problem coincides with the set of Paretooptimal security strategies (POSS) for one of the players in the original game. This approach emphasizes the existing similarities between the scalar and multicriteria matrix games, because in both cases linear programming can be used to solve the problems. It also leads to different scalarizations which are alternative ways to obtain the set of all POSS. The concept of ideal strategy for a player is introduced, and it is established that a pair of Pareto saddle-point strategies exists if both players have ideal strategies. Several examples are included to illustrate the results in the paper.  相似文献

This paper deals with a chance constrained programming model, where both fuzziness and randomness are present in the objective function and constraints. The concept of fuzzy random variable, mean and variance of fuzzy random variable, minimum of fuzzy numbers are used in the model. The methodology is verified through a numerical example.  相似文献

Recently, linear programming problems with symmetric fuzzy numbers (LPSFN) have considered by some authors and have proposed a new method for solving these problems without converting to the classical linear programming problem, where the cost coefficients are symmetric fuzzy numbers (see in [4]). Here we extend their results and first prove the optimality theorem and then define the dual problem of LPSFN problem. Furthermore, we give some duality results as a natural extensions of duality results for linear programming problems with crisp data.  相似文献

In this paper we study a class of linear programming problems having fuzzy goals/constraints that can be described by (Atanassov’s) I-fuzzy sets. Duality theory is developed for this class of problems in the I-fuzzy sense which is subsequently applied to define a new solution concept for two persons zero-sum matrix games with I-fuzzy goals.  相似文献

The problem to find the nearest trapezoidal approximation of a fuzzy number with respect to a well-known metric, which preserves the expected interval of the fuzzy number, is completely solved. The previously proposed approximation operators are improved so as to always obtain a trapezoidal fuzzy number. Properties of this new trapezoidal approximation operator are studied.  相似文献

Ranking of fuzzy numbers play an important role in decision making, optimization and forecasting etc. Fuzzy numbers must be ranked before an action is taken by a decision maker. In this paper, with the help of several counter examples, it is proved that ranking method proposed by Chen and Chen (Expert Systems with Applications 36 (3): 6833) is incorrect. The main aim of this paper is to propose a new approach for the ranking of generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. The proposed ranking approach is based on rank and mode so it is named as an RM approach. The main advantage of the proposed approach is that the proposed approach provides the correct ordering of generalized and normal trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and also the proposed approach is very simple and easy to apply in the real life problems. It is shown that proposed ranking function satisfies all the reasonable properties of fuzzy quantities proposed by Wang and Kerre (Fuzzy Sets and Systems 118 (3): 375).  相似文献

A new solution concept for two-player zero-sum matrix games with multi-dimensional payoffs is introduced. It is based on extensions of the vector order in \(\mathbb {R}^d\) to order relations in the power set of \(\mathbb {R}^d\), so-called set relations, and strictly motivated by the interpretation of the payoff as multi-dimensional loss for one and gain for the other player. The new concept provides coherent worst case estimates for games with multi-dimensional payoffs. It is shown that–in contrast to games with one-dimensional payoffs–the corresponding strategies are different from equilibrium strategies for games with multi-dimensional payoffs. The two concepts are combined into new equilibrium notions for which existence theorems are given. Relationships of the new concepts to existing ones such as Shapley and vector equilibria, vector minimax and maximin solutions as well as Pareto optimal security strategies are clarified.  相似文献

Weighted trapezoidal and triangular approximations of fuzzy numbers   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In 2007, Zeng and Li proposed a weighted triangular approximation of a fuzzy number. Unfortunately, this approximation may fail to be a fuzzy number. In this paper, we improve this approximation and propose a generalization by the name of weighted trapezoidal approximation. Their algorithms are also presented. Finally, some examples and relevant properties are discussed.  相似文献

Motivated by situations in which independent agents wish to cooperate in some uncertain endeavor over time, we study dynamic linear programming games, which generalize classical linear production games to multi-period settings under uncertainty. We specifically consider that players may have risk-averse attitudes towards uncertainty, and model this risk aversion using coherent conditional risk measures. For this setting, we study the strong sequential core, a natural extension of the core to dynamic settings. We characterize the strong sequential core as the set of allocations that satisfy a particular finite set of inequalities that depend on an auxiliary optimization model, and then leverage this characterization to establish sufficient conditions for emptiness and non-emptiness. Qualitatively, whereas the strong sequential core is always non-empty when players are risk-neutral, our results indicate that cooperation in the presence of risk aversion is much more difficult. We illustrate this with an application to cooperative newsvendor games, where we find that cooperation is possible when it least benefits players, and may be impossible when it offers more benefit.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to present some cases of aggregation operators with intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and study their desirable properties. First, some operational laws of intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy numbers are introduced. Next, based on these operational laws, we develop some geometric aggregation operators for aggregating intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. In particular, we present the intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy weighted geometric (ITFWG) operator, the intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy ordered weighted geometric (ITFOWG) operator, the induced intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy ordered weighted geometric (I-ITFOWG) operator and the intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy hybrid geometric (ITFHG) operator. It is worth noting that the aggregated value by using these operators is also an intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy value. Then, an approach to multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems with intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy information is developed based on the ITFWG and the ITFHG operators. Finally, an illustrative example is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.  相似文献

Abstract. The objective of this paper is to deal with a kind of fuzzy linear programming problem based on interval-valued fuzzy sets (IVFLP) through the medium of procedure that turns IVFLP into parametric linear programming via the mathematical programming. Some useful results for the benefit of solving IVFLP are expounded and proved, developed and discussed. Furthermore, that the proposed techniques in this paper allow the decision-maker to assign a different degree of importance can provide a useful way to efficiently help the decision-maker make their decisions.  相似文献

A note on chance constrained programming with fuzzy coefficients   总被引:17,自引:0,他引:17
This paper deals with nonlinear chance constrained programming as well as multiobjective case and goal programming with fuzzy coefficients occurring in not only constraints but also objectives. We also present a fuzzy simulation technique for handling fuzzy objective constraints and fuzzy goal constraints. Finally, a fuzzy simulation based genetic algorithm is employed to solve a numerical example.  相似文献
