Heat transfer enhancement in the annular fins with uniform profile is investigated in the present study. Conventional fin materials are replaced with the functionally graded materials in order to increase the rate of heat transfer and corresponding fin efficiency. Here, the fin material properties, such as conductivity, are assumed to be graded along the annular fin radius, R, as a linear function. The governing equation of the annular fin is computed with an approximate analytical method using the mean value theorem. It is revealed that the in-homogeneity index, β, of the fin material plays an important role on the thermal characteristics of the annular fins. Alternatively, heat dissipation between the fin surface and surrounding fluid in the annular fins increases with increasing the inhomogeneity indices, β. Finally, it is stated that application of the functionally graded material in the annular fins enhances the fin efficiency in comparison to the annular fins with homogeneous material. It is hoped that the results obtained from this study arouse interest among thermal designers and heat exchanger industries.  相似文献

In this Letter, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) has been used to evaluate the efficiency of straight fins with temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and to determine the temperature distribution within the fin. The fin efficiency of the straight fins with temperature-dependent thermal conductivity has been obtained as a function of thermo-geometric fin parameter and the thermal conductivity parameter describing the variation of the thermal conductivity. The results reveal that homotopy perturbation method is very effective and simple. The resulting correlation equations can assist thermal design engineers for designing of straight fins with temperature-dependent thermal conductivity.  相似文献

针对矩形肋片热沉, 分别以最大热阻最小化和基于(火积)耗散定义的当量热阻最小化为优化目标, 采用二维传热模型并结合有限元数值仿真对其进行构形优化, 比较了两种目标下的热沉最优构形, 并分析了全局参数(综合了对流换热系数、肋片占据的总面积及其热导率的函数)和材料占比对两种目标(最大热阻、当量热阻)及其对应最优构形的影响. 结果表明: 热沉外形固定时, 两种目标下均不存在最优的肋片厚度; 热沉外形自由变化时, 两种目标下的最优构形存在一定的差异. 此外, 全局参数对两种目标下的最优构形均没有影响, 而材料占比对两种目标下的最优构形均有较大影响. 提高全局参数和材料占比均可以减小最大热阻最小值和当量热阻最小值, 但对两种目标的减小程度不同. 总体上, 调节热沉结构参数使当量热阻最小, 可以同时获得很好的局部极限性能; 而调节热沉结构参数使最大热阻最小, 获得的整体平均散热性能却较差. 因此, 对本文热沉模型进行优化时, 以当量热阻最小化为优化目标更合理.  相似文献

With the aid of constructal theory and entransy theory, a Tau-shaped fin (TAUSF) is investigated in this paper, and the widths of the bend end and elemental fins are assumed to be different. The construct of the TAUSF is optimized by the minimum equivalent thermal resistance (ETR) obtained by entransy dissipation rate. The constraints of total enveloping volume and fin material volume are considered. The results show that in the specified range of width ratio, the twice minimum ETR of the TAUSF can be yielded by an optimal width ratio and an optimal length ratio. In addition, comparing the optimal performance of the TAUSF with the counterpart of a T-shaped fin, the former sacrifices a small amount of heat transfer performance and its stiffness increases due to its structure with the bend end. The optimal structure of the TAUSF yielded from ETR minimization is conspicuously different with the counterpart yielded from maximum thermal resistance minimization. Comparing the thermal performances of the two optimal constructs, the ETR of the former optimal construct is declined by 10.58%, whereas the maximum thermal resistance is augmented by 5.22%. The former optimal construct can lead to the uniformity of temperature gradient and the reduction in thermal stress, and can guide the engineering designs of practical fins.  相似文献

采用去离子水为冷却介质,对自行设计的不同结构微方肋散热器内的换热特性进行实验研究,结果表明:在进口温度为20 ℃、进口流量为57.225 L/h、底面平均温度为73.4 ℃时,散热器散热量可达2.83106 W/cm2,可以满足当前高热流密度散热需求;当散热面温度一定时,散热量随着散热器进口流量的增加而增加,但增速随散热器底面温度的增加变缓;努谢尔特数随雷诺数的增加而成幂次方增加,常规针肋结构和微针肋结构换热关系式不满足微方肋散热器特性。为了更好地表达微方肋散热器内的换热特性,拟合了微方肋散热器内对流换热关系式。  相似文献

针对大功率LED光源存在的散热问题,在风冷散热条件下,对加装导流罩的大功率LED散热器进行优化设计。在肋片结构参数固定的条件下,利用流体分析软件对导流罩的内径、高度、进气口直径以及散热器肋片夹角进行优化。通过改变这些参数来改变散热片表面气体流体的流形、风速等值,最终改变肋片表面对流换热系数。获得的导流罩和肋片夹角参数:导流罩高度85 mm,进气口直径76 mm,出气口直径83 mm,散热器肋片夹角9。通过优化使散热器温度有一定程度的降低,为大功率LED灯具散热设计提供了一种优化方案。  相似文献

随着现代发动机技术的进步,发动机功率和性能的提升,也对发动机散热器提出了更高的要求。在兼备良好的散热性能和稳定性的同时,更要求散热器结构紧凑,以实现轻型化。通过对车用发动机管带式散热器的局部翅片和整体散热器进行三维建模,分析百叶窗翅片角度、翅片波距、翅片波高对空气侧压降影响,并对影响散热器散热性能主要因素进行分析。然后采用了多孔介质代替翅片的方法,模拟整体散热器的散热性能,并对比实验结果验证仿真模型准确性。最后拟合仿真数据的总传热系数和空气侧压降系数,建立粒子群算法优化数学模型。在不改变散热器外形尺寸和空气侧压降符合设计标准的情况下,优化散热器的翅片结构。翅片结构优化后,空气侧压降基本不变,散热量提升了11.6%。  相似文献

A theoretical and experimental study was carried out on the thermal performance of a pin fin array heat sink. A theoretical model was utilized based on the success of prior research that has the capability of predicting the influence of various geometrical, thermal, and flow parameters on the effective thermal resistance of the heat sink. An experimental investigation was carried out for measuring the thermal performance of the heat sink, and the overall convective heat transfer coefficient for the fin bundle, including the thermal and flow bundle effect. Utilizing the new empirical correlations, theoretical predictions were made and experimentally validated for a wide range of parameters for combined forced and natural convection in the assisting flow configuration. Both the theoretical model and experimental data indicated the existence of optimal fin spacing.  相似文献

In this study, the effect of both hexagonal pin fins (HPFs) and cylindrical pin fins (CPFs) into the rectangular channel on heat transfer augmentation, Nusselt number and friction factor were experimentally investigated. In planning of the experiments, different Reynolds number, pin fin array, pin fin geometry and the ratio of the distance between pin fin spacing (s) to the pin fin hydraulic diameter (s/Dh) were chosen as the design parameters. Air was used as the fluid. The Reynolds number, based on the channel hydraulic diameter of the rectangular channel, was varied from 3188 to 19531. In the experiments, the heating plate was made of stainless steel foil. The foil was electrically heated by means of a high current DC power supply to provide a constantly heated flux surface. The heat transfer results were obtained using the infrared thermal imaging technique. The heat transfer results of the hexagonal pin fins (HPFs) and cylindrical pin fins (CPFs) are compared with those of a smooth plate. Best heat transfer performance was obtained with the hexagonal pin fins. The maximum thermal performance factor ((?), was obtained as Re = 3188, staggered array, s/Dh = 0, ? = 2.28.  相似文献

Transient heat transfer through a longitudinal fin of various profiles is studied. The thermal conductivity and heat transfer coefficients are assumed to be temperature dependent. The resulting partial differential equation is highly nonlinear. Classical Lie point symmetry methods are employed and some reductions are performed. Since the governing boundary value problem is not invariant under any Lie point symmetry, we solve the original partial differential equation numerically. The effects of realistic fin parameters such as the thermogeometric fin parameter and the exponent of the heat transfer coefficient on the temperature distribution are studied.  相似文献

文中针对三维坐标系下,圆翅片叉排热管散热器的流动和传热特性进行数值模拟研究。分析了三个主要影响因素:翅片间距、翅片厚度和排间距对平均换热系数、流动摩擦系数和热阻的影响。翅片间距分别为6mm、7mm和8mm,翅片厚度分别为0.8mm、1mm和1.2mm,排间距分别为21.7mm、23mm和24.3mm。模拟结果表明:随着迎面风速增加,摩擦系数减小,传热热阻减小;随着翅片厚度的增加,摩擦系数减小、换热能力增强,热阻在大Re时增大明显。随着翅片间距的增大,摩擦系数增大,换热能力提高,热阻增大;随着排间距的增大,摩擦系数在正三角形管排布时的值上下变动,且只有排间距显著增大时,换热能力和热阻才会增大。  相似文献

基于构形理论, 以基于(火积)耗散率定义的当量热阻最小为优化目标对复杂肋片进行构形优化, 得到同时考虑肋片导热和对流换热(火积)耗散性能的肋片最优构形, 并比较不同形状和不同优化目标下的肋片最优构形. 结果表明: 存在最佳单元级直肋、中部空腔以及肋片末梢高度和长度比使得复杂肋片当量热阻取得三重最小值. 当量热阻最小的复杂肋片最优构形与T-Y形肋片最优构形相比, 复杂肋片结构使得肋片整体传热性能大大提高. 当肋片传热为二维传热且根部较宽时, 肋片根部温度越不均匀, 当量热阻最小和最大热阻最小的复杂肋片最优构形差别越大. 在保证热安全性的前提下, 工程上对肋片进行优化设计时可选择当量热阻最小的肋片构形设计方案以降低其平均传热温差、提高整体传热性能. 本文从传热优化角度为复杂肋片的优化设计提供了参考.  相似文献

An experimental study of the air-side thermal hydraulic performance of the aluminum wavy fin in heat exchanger was performed. A series of tests were conducted for 16 wavy fin samples with different geometry parameters. The experimental correlation equations of the wavy fin about the heat transfer and pressure drop are set up using the multiple regression method. The parametric study on the performance of the wavy fins is carried out using the Taguchi method. The study results show that the ratio of the wavy fin amplitude and wavy length is the most important factor that affects the overall thermal hydraulic performance.  相似文献

Three-dimensional heat transfer model of laser diode array under constant convective heat transfer coefficient boundary condition is established and analytical temperature profiles within its heat sink are obtained by separation of variables. The influences on thermal resistance and maximum temperature variation among emitters from heat sink structure parameters and convective heat transfer coefficient are brought forward. An experimental investigation of steady-state natural convection from vertical rectangular mild steel and aluminum fins was conducted using laser holographic interferometry. Infinite-fringe interferograms demonstrate the effect of fin base heating. Depending on the fin material and base temperature, the local heat transfer coefficients vary along the fin with maximum values at positions about 22-48% of the fin height measured from the base. Temperature measurements along the fin show good agreement with the classical one-dimensional corwective and adiabalic tip solutions. Hence, in the thermal design of vertical aluminum fins of low Biot numbers, the classical one-dimensional fin solutions may be used together with an average heat transfer coefficient obtained from established correlations for natural convection from an isothermal flat plate.  相似文献

为了提高发光二极管(LED)灯具的性能,依据LED散热指标,计算了散热面积,建立了LED鳍片式散热模型,最终利用ANSYS软件对其进行了仿真。研究结果表明:当鳍片间距与鳍片厚度比为3∶2、底座厚度与鳍片厚度为1∶1时,散热效果最好;随着鳍片数目和鳍片高度的增加,散热效果也有所增强。  相似文献

An analytical solution is derived for the transient wall heat conduction problem under arbitrary outdoor air temperature perturbations. This is obtained by expanding the arbitrary perturbation in a Fourier series, consisting of a step function and an infinite sum of cosine and sine functions. The analytical solutions in the cases of step, cosine and sine temperature perturbations are derived separately from each other and are then superimposed to produce the resultant solution. Simple linear expressions are derived, which express the maximum indoor heat flow provoked by the arbitrary temperature perturbation in terms of parameters characterizing the perturbation. Such simple expressions are very useful in air-conditioning calculations for predicting peak loads and sizing heating or cooling equipment.  相似文献

本文建立了热电发电系统(TEG)多物理场数值模型,并充分考虑换热器流体影响,综合研究了具有不同热侧换热器翅片结构的TEG系统性能。在雷诺数为1000~10000范围内,分析了流体沿程温度分布特征、泵功及热电发电模块的能量转换特性.所研究的三种翅片结构包括:全流道等高度直翅片(Fin-1)、下游强化梯度翅片(Fin-2)以及上游强化梯度翅片(Fin-3).研究表明,通道长高比及热电材料覆盖率一定,热电发电功率及转换效率随流量呈二次曲线变化关系,存在最匹配流量使得系统发电性能最佳。等高度直翅片对流量的变化敏感,随流量增大,则压损增大,导致系统净输出功率及发电效率无收益.而梯度翅片可以在更大范围内产生正收益;下游强化梯度翅片具有最佳的流体沿程温度均匀性,但沿程局部热阻却最大.综合考虑沿程局部热阻分布及泵功消耗,上游强化梯度翅片TEG系统净转换效率最高,因此局部热阻分布及泵功综合因素应为TEG内的换热器合理设计的关键。  相似文献
