We study the operator algebra associated with a self-mapping ? on a countable set X which can be represented as a directed graph. The algebra is generated by the family of partial isometries acting on the corresponding l2(X). We study the structure of involutive semigroup multiplicatively generated by the family of partial isometries. We formulate the criterion when the algebra is irreducible on the Hilbert space. We consider the concrete examples of operator algebras. In particular, we give the examples of nonisomorphic C*-algebras, which are the extensions by compact operators of the algebra of continuous functions on the unit circle.  相似文献

It is shown that every almost linear Pexider mappings f, g, h from a unital C*-algebra into a unital C*-algebra ℬ are homomorphisms when f(2 n uy) = f(2 n u)f(y), g(2 n uy) = g(2 n u)g(y) and h(2 n uy) = h(2 n u)h(y) hold for all unitaries u ∈ , all y ∈ , and all n ∈ ℤ, and that every almost linear continuous Pexider mappings f, g, h from a unital C*-algebra of real rank zero into a unital C*-algebra ℬ are homomorphisms when f(2 n uy) = f(2 n u)f(y), g(2 n uy) = g(2 n u)g(y) and h(2 n uy) = h(2 n u)h(y) hold for all u ∈ {v ∈ : v = v* and v is invertible}, all y ∈ and all n ∈ ℤ. Furthermore, we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of *-homomorphisms between unital C*-algebras, and ℂ-linear *-derivations on unital C*-algebras. We continue the study of an operator algebra associated with a self-mapping ? on a countable setX which can be represented as a directed graph. This C*-algebra belongs to a class of operator algebras, generated by a family of partial isometries satisfying some relations on their source and range projections. Earlier we have formulated the irreducibility criterion of such algebras, which give us a possibility to examine the structure of the corresponding Hilbert space. We will show that for reducible algebras the underlying Hilbert space can be represented either as an infinite sum of invariant subspaces or as a tensor product of a finite-dimensional Hilbert space with l2(Z). In the first case we present a conditions under which the studied algebra has an irreducible representation into a C*-algebra generated by a weighted shift operator. In the second case, the algebra has the irreducible finite-dimensional representations indexed by the unit circle.  相似文献

The relation between the inseparable prime C^*-algebras and primitive C^*-algebras is studied, and we prove that prime AW^*-algebras are all primitive C^*-algebras.  相似文献

We study three related extremal problems in the space H of functions analytic in the unit disk such that their boundary values on a part γ1 of the unit circle Γ belong to the space \(L_{{\psi _1}}^\infty ({\gamma _1})\)of functions essentially bounded on γ1 with weight ψ1 and their boundary values on the set γ0 = Γ γ1 belong to the space \(L_{{\psi _0}}^\infty ({\gamma _0})\)with weight ψ0. More exactly, on the class Q of functions from H such that the \(L_{{\psi _0}}^\infty ({\gamma _0})\)-norm of their boundary values on γ0 does not exceed 1, we solve the problem of optimal recovery of an analytic function on a subset of the unit disk from its boundary values on γ1 specified approximately with respect to the norm of \(L_{{\psi _1}}^\infty ({\gamma _1})\). We also study the problem of the optimal choice of the set γ1 for a given fixed value of its measure. The problem of the best approximation of the operator of analytic continuation from a part of the boundary by bounded linear operators is investigated.  相似文献

Tracial Limit of C^*-algebras   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
A new limit of C^*-algebras, the tracial limit, is introduced in this paper. We show that a separable simple C^*-algebra A is a tracial limit of C^*-algebras in Z-(k) if and only if A has tracial topological rank no more than k. We present several known results using the notion of tracial limits.  相似文献

We consider a covariant functor from the category of an arbitrary partially ordered set into the category of C*-algebras and their *-homomorphisms. In this case one has inductive systems of algebras over maximal directed subsets. The article deals with properties of inductive limits for those systems. In particular, for a functor whose values are Toeplitz algebras, we show that each such an inductive limit is isomorphic to a reduced semigroup C*-algebra defined by a semigroup of rationals. We endow an index set for a family of maximal directed subsets with a topology and study its properties. We establish a connection between this topology and properties of inductive limits.  相似文献

Let T = (T(t))t≥0 be a bounded C-regularized semigroup generated by A on a Banach space X and R(C) be dense in X. We show that if there is a dense subspace Y of X such that for every x ∈ Y, σu(A, Cx), the set of all points λ ∈ iR to which (λ - A)^-1 Cx can not be extended holomorphically, is at most countable and σr(A) N iR = Ф, then T is stable. A stability result for the case of R(C) being non-dense is also given. Our results generalize the work on the stability of strongly continuous senfigroups.  相似文献

The main goal of this work is to study the Gelfand spaces of some commutative Banach algebras with unit within the space of bounded linear operators. We will also show, under special condition, that this algebra is isometrically isomorphic to some space of continuous functions defined over a compact. Such isometries preserve idempotent elements. This fact will allow us to define the respective associated measure which is known as spectral measure. Let us also notice that this measure is obtained by restriction of the reciprocal of the Gelfand transform to the set of characteristic functions of clopen subsets of the spectrum of above algebra. We will finish this work showing that each element of such algebras described above can be represented as an integral of some continuous function, where the integral has been defined through the spectral measure.  相似文献

Let A and B be C*-algebras, let A be separable, and let B be σ-unital and stable. We introduce the notion of translation invariance for asymptotic homomorphisms from S A = C0(?) ? A to B and show that the Connes—Higson construction applied to any extension of A by B is homotopic to a translation invariant asymptotic homomorphism. In the other direction we give a construction which produces extensions of A by B from a translation invariant asymptotic homomorphism. This leads to our main result that the homotopy classes of extensions coincide with the homotopy classes of translation invariant asymptotic homomorphisms.  相似文献

We characterise C*-quotients and C-quotients of completely regular frames in terms of ?ech-Stone compactifications and Lindelöfications, respectively. The latter is a frame-theoretic result with no spatial counterpart. We also characterise C*-quotients and dense C-quotients of completely regular frames in terms of normal covers.  相似文献

We classify graph C *-algebras, namely, Cuntz-Krieger algebras associated to the Bass-Hashimoto edge incidence operator of a finite graph, up to strict isomorphism. This is done by a purely graph theoretical calculation of the K-theory of the C *-algebras and the method also provides an independent proof of the classification up to Morita equivalence and stable equivalence of such algebras, without using the boundary operator algebra. A direct relation is given between the K 1-group of the algebra and the cycle space of the graph. We thank Jakub Byszewski for his input in Sect. 2.8. The position of the unit in K 0( Ч) was guessed based on some example calculations by Jannis Visser in his SCI 291 Science Laboratory at Utrecht University College.  相似文献

In this paper we study C*-algebras generated by a commuting family of isometric operators. Such algebras naturally generalize the Toeplitz algebra. We investigate *-automorphisms and ideals of C*-algebras generated by semigroups.  相似文献

We present general results about graded C*-algebras and continue the previously initiated research of the C*-algebra generated by the left regular representation of an abelian semigroup. We study the invariant ideals of this C*-algebra invariant with respect to the representation of a compact group G in the automorphism group of this algebra. We prove that the invariance of the ideal is equivalent to the fact that this ideal is graded C*-algebra, that there is a maximum of all invariant ideals, and it is the commutator ideal. Separately we study a class of graded primitive ideals generated by a single projector.  相似文献

We prove the existence of commutative C*-algebras of Toeplitz operators on every weighted Bergman space over the complex projective space \mathbbPn\mathbb(C){{\mathbb{P}^n}\mathbb{(C)}}. The symbols that define our algebras are those that depend only on the radial part of the homogeneous coordinates. The algebras presented have an associated pair of Lagrangian foliations with distinguished geometric properties and are closely related to the geometry of \mathbbPn\mathbb(C){{\mathbb{P}^n}\mathbb{(C)}}.  相似文献

We construct an inductive system of C*-algebras each of which is isomorphic to a finite tensor product of copies of the one-mode n-th degree polynomial extension of the usual Weyl algebra constructed in our previous paper (Accardi and Dhahri in Open Syst Inf Dyn 22(3):1550001, 2015). We prove that the inductive limit C*-algebra is factorizable and has a natural localization given by a family of C*-sub-algebras each of which is localized on a bounded Borel subset of \({\mathbb{R}}\). Finally, we prove that the corresponding family of Fock states, defined on the inductive family of C*-algebras, is projective if and only if n = 1. This is a weak form of the no-go theorems which emerge in the study of representations of current algebras over Lie algebras.  相似文献

In this paper, we characterize a C *-subalgebra C *(x) of B(H), generated by a single operator x. We show that if x is polar-decomposed by aq, where a is the partial isometry part and q is the positive operator part of x, then C *(x) is *-isomorphic to the groupoid crossed product algebra Aq×a\mathbbGa\mathcal{A}_{q}\times_{\alpha }\mathbb{G}_{a} , where Aq=C*(q)\mathcal{A}_{q}=C^{*}(q) and \mathbbGa\mathbb{G}_{a} is the graph groupoid induced by a partial isometry part a of x.  相似文献

Let ? be a trace on the unital C*-algebra A and M ? be the ideal of the definition of the trace ?. We obtain a C*analogue of the quantum Hall effect: if P,QA are idempotents and P ? QM ? , then ?((P ? Q)2n+1) = ?(P ? Q) ∈ R for all nN. Let the isometries UA and A = A*∈ A be such that I+A is invertible and U-AM ? with ?(U-A) ∈ R. Then I-A, I?UM ? and ?(I?U) ∈ R. Let nN, dimH = 2n + 1, the symmetry operators U, VB(H), and W = U ? V. Then the operator W is not a symmetry, and if V = V*, then the operator W is nonunitary.  相似文献

We prove that for two elements x, y in a Hilbert C*-module V over a C*-algebra the C*-valued triangle equality |x + y| = |x| + |y| holds if and only if 〈x, y〉 = |x| |y|. In addition, if has a unit e, then for every x, yV and every ɛ > 0 there are contractions u, υ ∊ such that |x + y| ≦ u|x|u* + υ|y|υ* + ɛe.   相似文献
