The 61 30Zn31 isotope has been produced at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the fusion-evaporation reaction 40Ca(24Mg, 2pn)61Zn at 104MeV. The experimental set-up allowed γ-rays to be detected in the CLARION Ge detector array in coincidence with the detection of recoiling nuclei in the focal plane at the end of the recoil mass spectrometer. This provides a unique identification of γ-rays belonging to 61Zn. The excited states have been explored by means of recoil- γγ coincidences, and the resulting decay scheme comprises almost 70 transitions. The data reveal numerous non-yrast states and suggest a revised spin and parity assignment for a previously observed superdeformed band. The resulting decay scheme is compared to predictions from different sets of large-scale shell model calculations.  相似文献

Low-lying states in the odd-odd light gold isotope 182Au have been populated by the β+/EC decay of the 182Hg nuclei. Level energies, spin and parity values were determined using on-line γ-ray and e- spectroscopy measurements. No isomeric state with a long half-life was found in the 182Au nucleus. Spin and parity I π = 2+ can be very likely assigned to the 182Au ground state. Received: 19 December 2000 / Accepted: 28 February 2001  相似文献

High spin states of 101Rh have been populated using the reaction 70Zn+36S at 130 MeV. γ-rays were detected with the EUROGAM2 array. New high-spin bands have been observed in this nucleus up to 45/2, 57/2 and 65/2+ states. They have been interpreted using the Nilsson-Strutinsky cranking formalism as terminating configurations. Two of the bands were observed up to the predicted terminating states which are built up from g9/2 protons as well as d5/2, g7/2 and h11/2 neutrons relative to a 90Zr core. An investigation of low-lying energy levels of 130Pr and 130Ce has been made via β-decay. The radioactive parent nuclei were produced via 94,96Mo + 40Ca reactions at 6.8 MeV/nucleon and transported by a He-jet system. Gamma-γ-t, γ-X-t, γ-e--t coincidence measurements were performed. Internal conversion coefficients have been measured with a magnetic spectrometer. The new β-decay half-life of 130Nd has been determined to be 21(3) s. A partial level scheme of 130Pr at low-spin has been constructed. The β-decay of 130Pr to 130Ce suggests the existence of three β-instable isomeric states in 130Pr, while only one half-life T 1/2 = 40(4) s has been measured. Based on the present work and low-lying excited states in neighbouring odd-mass nuclei, the spins and parities of isomeric states in 130Pr are proposed to be 2+, (4,5)+ and (7,8±). The ground state in 130Pr is still undetermined. Received: 20 August 2001 / Accepted: 6 November 2001  相似文献

High-spin states of odd-odd 168Lu were observed up to 18ħ for the first time using the 159Tb(13C, 4nγ)168Lu reaction at E 13C= 58.5 MeV. γ-γ coincidence, E γ singles, excitation function, and the DCO ratios were measured. Two rotational bands with signature splitting were populated, among which the lower-energy band is identified as π 7/2+[404] ⊗ν 5/2+[642] in view of alignment and energy systematics. High-spin states in 112Pd were studied using prompt γ-ray spectroscopy with Gammasphere following heavy-ion-induced fission in the reaction 18O + 208Pb at 91 MeV. A new 8+ level at 2638 keV was discovered with transitions connecting it to the yrast band and the quasi-gamma band. The three, now established, closely spaced 8+ states indicate a mixing between the ground-state band, s-band, and quasi-gamma band. Several high-spin structures with likely negative parity have been extended to higher spin and it is proposed that they are based on the νh 11/2(g 7/2 d 5/2) and νh 11/2(s 1/2 d 3/2) configurations. Alpha-decay properties of the neutron-deficient isotope 185Pb were studied at the PSB-ISOLDE (CERN) on-line mass separator using the resonance ionisation laser ion source (RILIS). The nuclei of interest were produced in a 1.4 GeV proton-induced spallation reaction of a uranium graphite target. In contrast to previous studies, two α-decaying isomeric states were identified in 185Pb. The relative production of the isomers, monitored by their α-counting rates, could be significantly changed when a narrow-bandwidth laser at the RILIS setup was used to scan through the atomic hyperfine structure. Based on the atomic hyperfine structure measurements, along with the systematics for heavier odd-mass lead isotopes, the spin and the parity of these states were interpreted as 3/2- and 13/2+ and their nuclear magnetic moments were deduced. The α-decay energy and half-life value for the I π = 13/2+ isomer are E α = 6408(5) keV, T 1/2 = 4.3(2) s, respectively; while for the I π = 3/2- isomer ( T 1/2 = 6.3(4) s) two α-decays with E α1 = 6288(5) keV, I α1 = 56(2)% and E α2 = 6486(5) keV, I α2 = 44(2)% were observed. By observing prompt α-γ coincidences new information on the low-lying states in the daughter isotope 181Hg was obtained. Received: 7 February 2002 / Accepted: 19 February 2002  相似文献

Excited states of the 119Xe nucleus have been studied by using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy with the 107Ag ( 16O, p3n) 119Xe fusion-evaporation reaction at a beam energy of 85 MeV. The level scheme of 119Xe has been derived from γ-γ coincidence and γ-γ angular correlation analyses. We have, for the first time, established the second negative-parity favored and unfavored states built on the 11/2- state, namely the yrare rotational bands in 119Xe. In contrast to the behavior of the yrast bands where the favored states are lying lower in energy, the yrare favored states were observed to lie above the unfavored band. Such a signature inversion in 119Xe is changed to be normal at I = 12?. Received: 8 January 2002 / Accepted: 18 April 2002  相似文献

High-spin states of 117Xe were investigated by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques via the reaction of 28Si bombarding a 92Mo target at beam energies of 100-120 MeV. A positive-parity rotational band decaying into the yrast negative-parity band by a series of enhanced E1 transitions was observed for the first time, implying the existence of octupole correlations in 117Xe. The B(E1) values increase with spin. The νd5/2 band was firmly established up to 27/2+ and the B(M1)/B(E2) ratios were extracted from the relative intensities of γ-rays in this band. The previously known νh11/2 and νg7/2 [413]5/2+α=−1/2 bands were confirmed and extended up to high spins and two bandcrossings are observed in the latter at ħω=0.33 and 0.44 MeV, respectively. The bandcrossings and configurations of these bands are discussed by TRS and CSM calculations. In a γ–γ–t measurement, the 11/2 and 7/2 levels were identified as two isomers with half-lives of 59.4±20 ns and 16.5±8.0 ns, respectively. Subpicosecond lifetimes of high spin states in the rotational nuclei 73Se, 74Se and 74Br have been measured using the 58Ni +19F compound reaction and the Doppler Shift Attenuation method. Six EUROBALL Cluster detectors arranged in cube geometry allowed us to select the relevant transitions in γγ coincidence mode. The high counting statistics achieved in this setup also facilitated the determination of average sidefeeding times, which were found to agree rather well with the results of Monte-Carlo calculations of the particle and γ-ray evaporation process. The deduced quadrupole strengths and deformations are compared with the results of previous measurements and the predictions of Cranked Shell Model calculations. In 74Br, a large and constant prolate deformation of β2= 0.37(1) was found for the presumed 4+ and 3 two-quasiparticle bands. Received: 2 July 1999  相似文献

The β decay of 61Ga to its mirror nucleus 61Zn has been measured for the first time by using on-line mass separation and β-delayed gamma-ray spectroscopy. The observed decay strength to the ground state implies superallowed character in accordance with the systematics of the mirror decays in the sd and fp shell. The β feedings observed to four excited states in 61Zn are consistent with earlier spin-parity assignments based on in-beam experiments. The ground-state spin and parity for 61Ga were determined to be 3/2. Received: 28 April 1998 / Revised version: 6 October 1998  相似文献

High-spin states in 178Ir were investigated by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques using the multidetector array GASP. Excited states of 178Ir were populated through the 159Tb(24Mg, 5n) fusion-evaporation reaction at E(24 Mg) = 131-141 MeV. Several rotational bands were observed. Among them, the πi 13/2⊗νi 13/2 structure has been identified up to spin 36 ?. This band exhibits an anomalous signature splitting and a signature inversion around spin 25 ?. The even-even nucleus 128Nd was studied via in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy using the 40Ca + 82Mo reaction at 190 MeV. Two new bands were observed besides the yrast one, that has been extended up to spin 34+. Configurations were assigned to the three bands by analysing their rotational properties and by comparison with the neighboring even-even nuclei. Abstact: High-spin states in 183Re have been studied using the 176Yb(11B,4n) reaction at 52 and 57 MeV. Two high-K bands have been observed directly by a time-correlated γ-γ coincidence measurement. One of the bands is built on an isomeric K π=(25/2)+ state at E x= 1908 keV with a half-life of 0.82(2) ms. The other band, assigned as K π=(29/2) at E x= 2739 keV, decays to the (25/2)+ band. These bands are interpreted as three-quasiparticle structures, π(5/2)+[402] &⊗ν(9/2)+[624] ⊗ν(11/2)+[615] for the (25/2)+ band and π(9/2)[514] ⊗ν(9/2)+[624] ⊗ν(11/2)+[615] for the (29/2) band. The K π= (29/2) band becomes strongly Coriolis mixed with increasing spin and is gradually changing into a low-K s-band structure. Received: 20 April 1998  相似文献

High spin states in 178Ir have been studied via the 152Sm(31P, 5nγ)178Ir reaction through excitation functions, X-γ and γ-γ-t coincidence measurements. According to the band structure characteristics and the measured intraband B(M1)/B(E2) ratios, two rotational bands are identified and assigned to be associated with the πh 9/2⊗νi 13/2 and πh 11/2⊗νi 13/2 configurations, respectively. Both bands show the signature inversion feature. Received: 23 March 2000 / Accepted: 31 July 2000  相似文献

γ -ray transitions in the neutron-deficient nuclei 190, 197Po have been identified using the JUROGAM Ge detector array coupled to the RITU gas-filled separator and the GREAT spectrometer. The yrast band of 190Po has been firmly established through γ -γ coincidences and extended up to a spin and parity of 14+. It displays similar behaviour to its isotones 186Hg and 188Pb above the 4+ level, thus confirming its prolate nature. In 197Po the band built upon the 13/2+ isomer has been extended up to a spin and parity of 33/2+, while the non-yrast band has been observed for the first time. The behaviour of 197Po is found to be similar to that of the nearby even-mass isotopes, which is consistent with the model in which the i 13/2 neutron is weakly coupled to the states in the even-even core.  相似文献

The high-spin level structure of the 153Er nucleus has been reinvestigated by in-beam γ-ray and electron spectroscopy with (14N,pxn) reaction. Excitation energies, spin and parity assignments are unambiguously established for the two lowest isomers T 1/2≃ 380 ns and T1/2\simeq 10 ns. The characteristics of the third one (T 1/2≃ 250 ns) at 5.2 MeV are still questionable but its main decay modes are better known. An extension of the level scheme is proposed up to 8.4 MeV.Experimental results have been discussed in terms of shell model multiplets and compared with the other structures observed in N=85 neighbouring nuclei. The high-spin states of 157Yb have been studied via the 144Sm(16O, 3n) reaction at 16O energy of 90 MeV using techniques of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Measurement of γ-γ-t coincidences was performed with 11 BGO(AC)HPGe detectors. Based on the measured results of γ-γ coincidences, γ-ray anisotropies and DCO ratios, the level scheme for 157Yb was established. The shape co-existence and structural evolution of the νi 13/2 band with increasing angular momentum in 157Yb have been discussed. The systematics of the νi 13/2 bands in the N = 87 odd-A isotones have been compared. Received: 7 January 2002 / Accepted: 10 April 2002  相似文献

Prompt and delayed γ-rays have been observed from very neutron deficient 192–195Po nuclei by using the recoil-decay tagging (RDT) and recoil gating techniques. The yrast levels up to the (10+) state in the 192Po were identified for the first time. Comprehensive data for 194Po rendered it possible to extend the yrast line and to observe several positive and negative parity non-yrast states. In the odd-mass isotopes 193Po and 195Po, favoured and unfavoured states on top of the 13/2+ state have been identified. The results are discussed within the simple vibrator and rotor pictures as well as in the framework of coexisting spherical and deformed-intruder structures. High-spin states in 208Pb have been studied by γ-ray-spectroscopy methods in deep inelastic reactions induced by beams of 208Pb, 136Xe and 76Ge beams on a thick 208Pb target. The 11+ 2 state and new γ-transitions between the one-particle one-hole states of highest spin have been found and electromagnetic matrix elements verified. High-spin states of two-particle two-hole structure have been detected for the first time. The results are compared to shell model calculations with realistic interactions in the complete Kuo-Herling space. Received: 31 October 2000 / Accepted: 26 March 2001  相似文献
