The superconformal invariants in analytic superspace are found. Superconformal invariance is shown to imply that the Green's functions of analytic operators are invariant holomorphic sections of a line bundle on a product of certain harmonic superspaces. It is argued that the correlation functions for a class of sufficiently low dimension gauge invariant operators in N = 2 and N = 4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory can be evaluated up to constants. 相似文献

New heterotic modular invariants are found using the level-rank duality of affine Kac-Moody algebras. They provide strong evidence for the consistency of an infinite list of heterotic Wess-Zumino-Witten (WZW) conformal field theories. We call the basic construction the dual-flip, since it flips chirality (exchanges left and right movers) and takes the level-rank dual. We compare the dual-flip to the method of conformal subalgebras, another way of constructing heterotic invariants. To do so, new level-one heterotic invariants are first bound; the complete list of a specified subclass of these is obtained. We also prove (under a mild hypothesis) an old conjecture concerning exceptional Ar,k invariants and level-rank duality. 相似文献

We consider those two-dimensional rational conformal field theories (RCFTs) whose chiral algebras, when maximally extended, are isomorphic to the current algebra formed from some untwisted affine Lie algebra at fixed level. In this case the partition function is specified by an automorphism of the fusion ring and corresponding symmetry of the Kac-Peterson modular matrices. We classify all such partition functions when the underlying finite-dimensional Lie algebra is simple. This gives all possible spectra for this class of RCFTs. While accomplishing this, we also find the primary fields with second smallest quantum dimension.Supported in part by NSERC. 相似文献

In this note we will give a construction of the Poincaré group out of the modular groups of the wedge algebras provided the groups act on the algebra of every double cone like the associated Lorentz boosts. This construction will use the concept of half-sided modular inclusions instead of the first and second cohomology of the Poincaré group as used by Brunetti, Guido and Longo. By our method we obtain directly the Poincaré group and not its covering group. 相似文献

Based on the theory of symmetries and conserved quantities of the singular Lagrange system, the perturbations to the symmetries and adiabatic invariants of the singular Lagrange systems are discussed. Firstly, the concept of higher-order adiabatic invariants of the singular Lagrange system is proposed. Then, the conditions for the existence of the exact invariants and adiabatic invariants are proved, and their forms are given. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate these results. 相似文献

We study equal-time correlation functions at finite temperature in field theories with global supersymmetry. Global supersymmetry is found to be broken at finite temperature; the ground state is not supersymmetric but no Goldstone fermion appears. The temperature dependence of the mass spectrum in the one-loop approximation and leading order in temperature is investigated in several models. In the models that we consider with spontaneous supersymmetry breaking we find that the Goldstone fermion remains massless at the one-loop level. Ward identities describing the supersymmetry of the underlying theory are checked at the one-loop level. We also discuss the situation in supergravity. 相似文献

Global frequentist fits to the CMSSM and NUHM1 using the MasterCode framework predicted M h ?119 GeV in fits incorporating the (g?2) μ constraint and ?126 GeV without it. Recent results by ATLAS and CMS could be compatible with a Standard Model-like Higgs boson around M h ?125 GeV. We use the previous MasterCode analysis to calculate the likelihood for a measurement of any nominal Higgs mass within the range of 115 to 130 GeV. Assuming a Higgs mass measurement at M h ?125 GeV, we display updated global likelihood contours in the (m 0,m 1/2) and other parameter planes of the CMSSM and NUHM1, and present updated likelihood functions for $m_{\tilde{g}}, m_{\tilde{q}_{R}}We perform a determination of the strong coupling constant using the latest ATLAS inclusive jet cross section data, from proton?Cproton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7~\mathrm{TeV}$ , and their full information on the bin-to-bin correlations. Several procedures for combining the statistical information from the different data inputs are studied and compared. The theoretical prediction is obtained using NLO QCD, and it also includes non-perturbative corrections. Our determination uses inputs with transverse momenta between 45 and 600?GeV, the running of the strong coupling being also tested in this range. Good agreement is observed when comparing our result with the world average at the Z-boson scale, as well as with the most recent results from the Tevatron. 相似文献

The concept of gravitational energy and the proof of its positivity are reviewed. The relationship between Witten's proof of the positivity of mass and supergravity is explained with reference to the group of global supersymmetries of a spacetime. A formula for the mass is given, in terms of the change of the supercharge under global supersymmetry, which has a simple positivity theorem and which reduces to Witten's expression. An interpretation of Witten's constraint on the spinors used in his proof is given. 相似文献

A fundamental mass-scale is associated with the transition of supersymmetric SU(3)c×SU(2)L×U(1) to the ordinary SU(3)c×SU(2)L×U(1) symmetry of elementary particle interactions. The renormalisation of the gauge coupling in a supersymmetric SU(5) grand unification leads to the mass-scale of supersymmetry breaking to be of order 1012 GeV if the lifetime of the proton is taken to be 1030 y and is lowered to the mass-scale of ordinary electroweak interactions if the proton lives longer than 1030 y. It is lower than 1012 GeV if the contribution of light scalars is taken into account. The predictions of the weak angle sin2θ (MW) are in excellent agreement with experiment. 相似文献

We review the current state of research on the construction of effective actions in supersymmetric quantum field theory. Special attention is paid to gauge models with extended supersymmetry in the superfield approach. The advantages of formulation of such models in harmonic superspace for the calculation of effective action are emphasized. Manifestly supersymmetric and manifestly gauge-invariant methods for constructing the low-energy effective actions and deriving the corrections to them are considered and the possibilities to obtain the exact solutions are discussed. The calculations of one-loop effective actions in N = 2 supersymmetric Yang–Mills theory with hypermultiplets and in N = 4 supersymmetric Yang–Mills theory are analyzed in detail. The relationship between the effective action in supersymmetric quantum field theory and the low-energy limit in superstring theory is discussed. 相似文献
