Summary In this paper we give a new definition of a probabilistic normed space. This definition, which is based on a characterization of normed spaces by means of a betweenness relation, includes the earlier definition of A. N. erstnev as a special case and leads naturally to the definition of the principal class of probabilistic normed spaces, the Menger spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the notion of Hausdorff L-topological spaces over a base space, where L is a complete lattice and give some characterizations of these spaces. Coorbit space theory is an abstract approach to function spaces and their atomic decompositions. The original theory developed by Feichtinger and Gröchenig in the late 1980ies heavily uses integrable representations of locally compact groups. Their theory covers, in particular, homogeneous Besov-Lizorkin-Triebel spaces, modulation spaces, Bergman spaces and the recent shearlet spaces. However, inhomogeneous Besov-Lizorkin-Triebel spaces cannot be covered by their group theoretical approach. Later it was recognized by Fornasier and Rauhut (2005) [24] that one may replace coherent states related to the group representation by more general abstract continuous frames. In the first part of the present paper we significantly extend this abstract generalized coorbit space theory to treat a wider variety of coorbit spaces. A unified approach towards atomic decompositions and Banach frames with new results for general coorbit spaces is presented. In the second part we apply the abstract setting to a specific framework and study coorbits of what we call Peetre spaces. They allow to recover inhomogeneous Besov-Lizorkin-Triebel spaces of various types of interest as coorbits. We obtain several old and new wavelet characterizations based on explicit smoothness, decay, and vanishing moment assumptions of the respective wavelet. As main examples we obtain results for weighted spaces (Muckenhoupt, doubling), general 2-microlocal spaces, Besov-Lizorkin-Triebel-Morrey spaces, spaces of dominating mixed smoothness and even mixtures of the mentioned ones. Due to the generality of our approach, there are many more examples of interest where the abstract coorbit space theory is applicable.  相似文献

The aim of this Note is twofold. In the first step we study the Witten deformation for stratified spaces X and radial Morse functions on them and prove a spectral gap theorem for the Witten Laplacian. In the second step we focus on spaces with isolated conic singularities, where we construct a geometric complex associated to the Morse function and give two comparison results.  相似文献

In this paper we extend the results obtained in [3], where are investigated the general settings of the two-dimensional complex Finsler manifolds, with respect to a local complex Berwald frame. The geometry of such manifolds is controlled by three real invariants which live on T'M: two horizontal curvature invariants K and W and one vertical curvature invariant I. By means of these invariants are defined both the horizontal and the vertical holomorphic sectional curvatures. The complex Landsberg and Berwald spaces are of particular interest. Complex Berwald spaces coincide with Kähler spaces, in the two – dimensional case. We establish the necessary and sufficient condition under which K is a constant and we obtain a characterization for the Kähler purely Hermitian spaces by the fact K = W = constant and I = 0. For the class of complex Berwald spaces we have K = W = 0. Finally, a classification of two-dimensional complex Finsler spaces for which the horizontal curvature satisfies a special property is obtained.  相似文献

For a wide class of functional spaces we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition on a space that guarantees a Hardy-Littlewood type of assertion about whether the sum of a cosine series with monotonic coefficients belongs to a functional space, e.g., Lp (p > 1). As far as we know, the exterior product with any norm has not been studied for Banach spaces. Especially, no studies have been done on Grassmann manifolds in Banach spaces. We think it is important to study these because simple m-vectors can be thought of as m-dimensional subspaces scaled in some way according to our work. We hope Banach space norms of simple m-vectors will yield metric information about their associated subspaces. In fact, this is the case with m-uniform convexity and m-uniform rotundity which are associated with area (in Banach spaces).  相似文献

In this paper, we study some aspects of the category L-ZTop of zero-dimensional L-topological spaces. After noting that it is a topological category, we identify a ‘Sierpinski object’ LZ in it. We further show that two epireflective hulls of LZ respectively turn out to be the categories of zero-dimensional T0-L-topological spaces and of zero-dimensional sober L-topological spaces. We also determine the coreflective hull of LZ in the category of L-topological spaces.  相似文献

Ilić and Rakočević [6] proved a fixed point theorem for quasi-contractive mappings on cone metric spaces when the underlying cone is normal. Recently, Z. Kadelburg, S. Radenović, and V. Rakočević obtained a similar result without using the normality condition but only for a contractive constant λ ∈ (0, 1/2) [8]. We introduce a one-step implicit iterative method for two finite families of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in a hyperbolic space and use it to approximate common fixed points of these families. The results presented in this paper are new in the setting of hyperbolic spaces. On top, these are generalizations of several results in literature from Banach spaces to hyperbolic spaces. We prove that every finite group G can be realized as the group of self-homotopy equivalences of infinitely many elliptic spaces X. To construct those spaces we introduce a new technique which leads, for example, to the existence of infinitely many inflexible manifolds. In 1999, Romaguera and Schellekens introduced the theory of dual complexity spaces as a part of the development of a mathematical (topological) foundation for the complexity analysis of programs and algorithms [S. Romaguera, M.P. Schellekens, Quasi-metric properties of complexity spaces, Topology Appl. 98 (1999) 311-322]. In this work we extend the theory of dual complexity spaces to the case that the complexity functions are valued on an ordered normed monoid. We show that the complexity space of an ordered normed monoid inherits the ordered normed structure. Moreover, the order structure allows us to prove some topological and quasi-metric properties of the new dual complexity spaces. In particular, we show that these complexity spaces are, under certain conditions, Hausdorff and satisfy a kind of completeness. Finally, we develop a connection of our new approach with Interval Analysis.  相似文献

Hagler and the first named author introduced a class of hereditarily l 1 Banach spaces which do not possess the Schur property. Then the first author extended these spaces to a class of hereditarily l p Banach spaces for 1 ⩽ p < ∞. Here we use these spaces to introduce a new class of hereditarily l p (c 0) Banach spaces analogous of the space of Popov. In particular, for p = 1 the spaces are further examples of hereditarily l 1 Banach spaces failing the Schur property.  相似文献

We consider here a type of pseudo-monotone parametric variational inequalities on a class of Banach spaces and show that such problems admit continuous (with respect to the parameter) solutions, as long as generic existence and uniqueness conditions for these solutions are satisfied. In particular, we show that such results are valid on a class of Banach spaces whenever we deal with strong pseudo-monotonicity, while others are valid in Hilbert spaces, whenever strict monotonicity is present. We show that the loop spaces on real projective spaces are topologically approximated by the spaces of rational maps . As a byproduct of our constructions we obtain an interpretation of the Kronecker characteristic (degree) of an ornament via particle spaces.

In recent publications, we have defined complexes of differential forms on analytic spaces which are resolutions of the constant sheaf. These complexes were used to prove the existence of a mixed Hodge structure on the cohomology of analytic spaces which possess kählerian hypercoverings, in particular, projective algebraic varieties. We define an exterior product on these forms, which induces the cup product on the cohomology of analytic spaces. The main difficulty is to prove that this exterior product is functorial with respect to morphisms of analytic spaces. This exterior product can be used to prove that the cup product is compatible with the mixed Hodge structure on the cohomology.  相似文献
