Partition of plastic work into heat and stored energy in metals   总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9  
This study investigates heat generation in metals during plastic deformation. Experiments were designed to measure the partition of plastic work into heat and stored energy during dynamic deformations under adiabatic conditions. A servohydraulic load frame was used to measure mechanical properties at lower strain rates, 10–3 s–1 to 1 s–1. A Kolsky pressure bar was used to determine mechanical properties at strain rates between 103 s–1 and 104 s–1. For dynamic loading, in situ temperature changes were measured using a high-speed HgCdTe photoconductive detector. An aluminum 2024-T3 alloy and -titanium were used to determine the dependence of the fraction of plastic work converted to heat on strain and strain rate. The flow stress and for 2024-T3 aluminum alloy were found to be a function of strain but not strain rate, whereas they were found to be strongly dependent on strain rate for -titanium.  相似文献

提出一种计算广义平面应交状态下复合材料切口应力奇性指数的新方法.在切口尖端的位移幂级数渐近展开式被引入正交各向异性材料的物理方程后,将用位移表示的应力分量代入切口端部柱状邻域的线弹性理论控制方程,切口应力奇性指数的计算被转化为常微分方程组特征值的求解.采用插值矩阵法求解该常微分方程组,可一次性地获取切口尖端多阶应力奇性指数.本法适合平面和反平面应力场耦合或解耦的情形,并可退化计算裂纹或各向同性材料切口的应力奇性指数.算例表明,所提方法对分析复合材料切口应力奇性指数是一种准确有效的手段.  相似文献

The stability of a rotor system presenting a transverse breathing crack is studied by considering the effects of crack depth, crack location and the shaft's rotational speed. The harmonic balance method, in combination with a path-following continuation procedure, is used to calculate the periodic response of a non-linear model of a cracked rotor system. The stability of the rotor's periodic movements is studied in the frequency domain by introducing the effects of a perturbation on the periodic solution for the cracked rotor system.It is shown that the areas of instability increase considerably when the crack deepens, and that the crack's position and depth are the main factors affecting not only the non-linear behaviour of the rotor system but also the different zones of dynamic instability in the periodic solution for the cracked rotor. The effects of some other system parameters (including the disk position and the stiffness of the supports) on the dynamic stability of the non-linear periodic response of the cracked rotor system are also investigated.  相似文献

The higher order asymptotic fields at the tip of a sharp V-notch in a power-hardening material for plane strain problem of Mode I are derived. The order hierarchy in powers ofr for various hardening exponentsn and notch angles β is obtained. The angular distributions of stress for several cases are plotted. The self-similarity behavior between the higher order terms is noticed. It is found that the terms with higher order can be neglected for the V-notch angle β>45°. In order to represent temperature-dependent mechanical material properties in a thermomechanical consistent manner it is common practice to start with the definition of a model for the specific Helmholtz free energy. Its canonical independent variables are the Green strain tensor and the temperature. But to represent calorimetric material properties under isobaric conditions, for example the exothermal behaviour of a curing process or the dependence of the specific heat on the temperature history, the temperature and the pressure should be taken as independent variables. Thus, in the field of calorimetry the Gibbs free energy is usually used as thermodynamic potential whereas in continuum mechanics the Helmholtz free energy is normally applied. In order to simplify the representation of calorimetric phenomena in continuum mechanics a hybrid free energy density is introduced. Its canonical independent variables are the isochoric Green strain tensor, the pressure and the temperature. It is related to the Helmholtz free energy density by a Legendre transformation. In combination with the additive split of the stress power into the sum of isochoric and volumetric terms this approach leads to thermomechanical consistent constitutive models for large deformations. The article closes with applications of this approach to finite thermoelasticity, curing adhesives and the glass transition.  相似文献

This experimental investigation concerns the static and dynamic behaviour of a rigid balanced rotor on journal bearings. Running conditions were chosen in order to obtain relatively high eccentricity ratios near the instability threshold speeds.The results, compared also with the theoretical predictions of some authors, have substantially shown the importance of examining the static behaviour near the instability threshold speed to allow a correct interpretation of some aspects of the dynamic behaviour.In order to clarify the discrepancies between the observed and the theoretically predicted dynamic behaviour, some further tests have been carried out.
Sommario E' stato esaminato sperimentalmente sia il comportamento statico che quello dinamico di un rotore rigido e bilanciato sostenuto da cuscinetti cilindrici lubrificati.Le condizioni di funzionamento sono state scelte in modo tale che, in prossimità della soglia di instabilità, il valore del rapporto di eccentricità risultasse relativamente grande.I risultati, confrontati anche con le indicazioni teoriche di altri autori, hanno sostanzialmente evidenziato l'importanza dell'esame del comportamento statico in prossimità della soglia di instabilità al fine di interpretare correttamente alcuni aspetti del fenomeno dell'instabilità.Sono state inoltre effettuate una serie di ulteriori indagini con lo scopo di chiarire le discordanze fra il comportamento dinamico osservato e quello previsto dalla teoria.

The nonlinear vibration of a rotor operated in a magnetic field with geometric and inertia nonlinearity is investigated. 针对导弹适配器的结构特征,分别建立了可压缩橡胶泡沫和不可压橡胶圆筒轴对称平面应变问题有限变形的平衡方程,基于Blatz-Ko应变能函数和三次缩减多项式应变能函数,得到了相应的位移和应力模式;在此基础上求解了适配器受压问题的非线性方程组和导弹发射时适配器所受到的摩擦力.算例分析与有限元数值模拟比较表明:解析解与数值解非常吻合,径向应力在发射筒内外表面误差最大为0.558%,周向应力在粘合面误差最大为0.246%,导弹发射时的最大量纲为一的摩擦力为1.0228.适配器径向应力在材料粘合交界面上最小,在适配器外表面最大,均为压应力;橡胶泡沫和不可压橡胶的周向应力均为压应力,橡胶泡沫的周向应力由内向外变大,不可压橡胶的周向应力由内向外变小.橡胶泡沫的径向受压大于周向受压,不可压橡胶的周向受压大于径向受压.研究不同过盈量对应力和摩擦力的影响表明:过盈量每增加0.0013,橡胶泡沫 层和不可压橡胶层的径向应力约增加0.13,不可压橡胶层的周向应力约增加2.14,而摩擦力约增加0.22.过盈量对不可压橡胶层的周向应力和导弹所受到的摩擦力影响非常大,对橡胶泡沫的径向应力有一定的影响,周向应力变化很小.  相似文献

在分析现有力学模型局限性的基础上,考虑转子在失稳转速附近复杂的涡动状态,构建了不依赖于重力占优假设的含横向裂纹的Jeffcott转子的通用运动方程和一种拟合的裂纹呼吸模型。根据Floquet稳定性理论,用打靶法分析了该裂纹转子模型运动的稳定性。结果表明,刚度相对变化量、系统阻尼、裂纹相位角等系统参数对模型的运动稳定性都有较大影响,特别是裂纹相位角对稳定性的影响很复杂;在临界转速附近,裂纹的非线性呼吸行为可以提高转子的稳定性,且改变了失稳发散的行为;在亚临界转速附近,裂纹的非线性呼吸行为会降低转子的稳定性,使周期运动发生结构失稳。  相似文献

This paper studies a model of energy harvester that consists of an electromechanical pendulum system subjected to nonlinear springs. The output power is analyzed in terms of the intrinsic parameters of the device leading to optimal parameters for energy harvesting. It is found that in an appropriate range of the springs constant, the power attains higher values as compared to the case without springs. The dynamical behavior of the device shows transition to chaos.  相似文献

A theoretical investigation is carried out on the orbital motions of a symmetrical, unbalanced, rigid rotor subjected to a constant vertical load and supported on two lubricated journal bearings. In order to determine the fluid film forces, the short bearing theory is adopted.A method is illustrated that makes it possible to determine the analytical equation of the orbit as an approximated solution of the system of non-linear differential equations of motion of the journal axis. A procedure is also described for evaluating the stability of the solution found. Crack energy density is considered and used as a possible fracture parameter in piezoelectricity under arbitrary electromechanical remote loads. The closed-form solution of a crack in a piezoelectric infinite plate subjected to general static electromechanical loading is obtained through a method alternative to the more common Stroh’s formalism. This analytical method, which is based on the spectral theorem of linear algebra, involves a transformation of similarity induced by the fundamental matrix in order to express the equations governing the problem in terms of complex potentials. The application of the mechanical boundary condition of stress-free crack and of one of the three considered electric boundary conditions (impermeable, permeable or semipermeable) leads then to the formulation of a Hilbert problem whose solution yields the stress and displacement fields. The crack energy density factors for mixed mode are then calculated under different mechanical and electrical loadings, as well as under different electric boundary conditions. The non-singular terms of the stress expressions are retained as well. The definition of the minimum energy density fracture criterion, as proposed by Sih, is given, and the influence of load biaxiality and positive or negative applied electric field on the criterion results is analyzed. The prediction of the incipient branching angle as from the energy density approach is also compared to that arising from the maximum circumferential stress theory for a mixed mode loading condition. Numerical results and graphs are presented and discussed for a PZT-4 piezoelectric ceramic.  相似文献

A rotor-stator rubbing Jeffcott model of a rotor system with mass unbalance including the mass eccentricity and the initial permanent deflection was set up and the corresponding governing motion equation was derived by d’Alembert principle. Through the analytical method, the rubbing condition was analyzed. Whether the rub would happen and when the rub would happen were well solved. The amplitude of the rotor center was calculated, and the rubbing factor was introduced to determine whether the rub would happen or not for all rotating speeds. Rubbing speeds when rub began to happen were obtained. Parameters such as the mass eccentricity, the initial permanent deflection, damping coefficients, and the phase angle between the mass eccentricity and the permanent deflection were used to analyze their effect on the rubbing condition. Results were obtained and could be used to prevent the rubbing fault or decrease the damage of the rub and diagnose or balance the initial permanent deflection fault.  相似文献

在长12 m的无缝不锈钢直管中,通过改变初始点火能量,探究了点火能对封闭管道内丙烷-空气混合气体爆炸传播特性和激波对管壁动态加载的影响。结果表明,初始点火能对预混气体爆炸火焰传播规律以及管壁的动态响应有显著影响:点火能越大,爆炸越剧烈,爆炸压力峰值压力和管壁最大应变就越大,且压力波和管壁应变的发展一致。火焰在传播过程中受到管道末端反射波的作用会发生短暂熄灭和复燃;管壁承受冲击波加载,应变信号主要分布在0~781.25 Hz,管壁最大应变率大于10-3 s-1,实验工况下管壁应变属动态响应。

双稳态结构可以在伸展和卷拢两种状态下均保持稳定,作为一种新型可展开空间结构,其在航空航天等领域具有广阔的应用前景。选取各向同性材料作为研究对象,并假定该材料为理想弹塑性材料。建立柱壳的力学计算模型,推导结构变形时应变能的解析表达式,基于能量原理导出柱壳在两个稳定状态下的卷曲半径。结果表明,基于全量理论和增量理论的模型均能反映结构的双稳态特性,但后者能更准确地预测两个稳态对应的卷曲半径的大小。对于文中给定的柱壳,全量理论导出的卷曲半径R3x相对于增量理论结果误差为5.2%~11.6%,R5y相对误差为29.8%~41.3%。另外,应用有限元软件ABAQUS对各向同性柱壳结构的双稳态过程进行数值模拟,数值结果与增量理论结果的相对误差为0.9%~13.2%,二者吻合较好。  相似文献
