In this paper, we introduce the generalized shift operator generated by the Gegenbauer differential operator , and define a generalized convolution ⊗ on the half-line corresponding to the Gegenbauer differential operator. We investigate the Calderon reproducing formula associated with the convolution ⊗ involving finite Borel measures, leading to results on the Lp-norm and pointwise approximation for functions on the half-line.  相似文献

The Bernoulli convolution νλ measure is shown to be absolutely continuous with L2 density for almost all , and singular if λ−1 is a Pisot number. It is an open question whether the Pisot type Bernoulli convolutions are the only singular ones. In this paper, we construct a family of non-Pisot type Bernoulli convolutions νλ such that their density functions, if they exist, are not L2. We also construct other Bernoulli convolutions whose density functions, if they exist, behave rather badly.  相似文献

Oscillatory Riemann-Hilbert problems and the corona theorem   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The paper is devoted to the Riemann-Hilbert problem with matrix coefficient having in Hardy spaces [Hp±]2,1<p?∞, on half-planes . Under the assumption of existence of a non-trivial solution of corresponding homogeneous Riemann-Hilbert problem in [H±]2 we study the solvability of the non-homogeneous Riemann-Hilbert problem in [Hp±]2,1<p<∞, and get criteria for the existence of a generalized canonical factorization and bounded canonical factorization for G as well as explicit formulas for its factors in terms of solutions of two associated corona problems (in and ). A separation principle for constructing corona solutions from simpler ones is developed and corona solutions for a number of corona problems in H+ are obtained. Making use of these results we construct explicitly canonical factorizations for triangular bounded measurable or almost periodic 2×2 matrix functions whose diagonal entries do not possess factorizations. Such matrices arise, e.g., in the theory of convolution type equations on finite intervals.  相似文献

In the present paper, the authors introduce two new subclasses of close-to-convex functions and of quasi-convex functions. The integral representations for functions belonging to these classes are provided, the convolution conditions, growth theorems, distortion theorems and covering theorems for these classes are also provided. We first represent the pressure in terms of the velocity in . Using this representation we prove that a solution to the Navier-Stokes equations is in under the critical assumption that , with r?3, while for r=3 the smallness is required. In [H.J. Choe, Boundary regularity of weak solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations, J. Differential Equations 149 (2) (1998) 211-247], a boundary L estimate for the solution is derived if the pressure on the boundary is bounded. In our work, we remove the boundedness assumption of the pressure. Here, our estimate is local. Indeed, employing Moser type iteration and the reverse Hölder inequality, we find an integral estimate for L-norm of u.  相似文献

Let with α,β∈]0,1[ such that α+β<1, αβ−1Q and a,b,cC?{0}. In this paper the existence of almost-periodic polynomial (APP) solutions to the equation (with and ) is studied. The natural space in which to seek a solution to the above problem is the space of almost periodic functions with spectrum in the group αZ+βZ+Z. Due to the difficulty in dealing with the problem in that generality, solutions are sought with spectrum in the group αZ+βZ. Several interesting and totally new results are obtained. It is shown that, if 1∉αZ+βZ, no polynomial solutions exist, i.e., almost periodic polynomial solutions exist only if αZ+βZ=αZ+βZ+Z. Keeping to this setting, it is shown that APP solutions exist if and only if the function satisfies the simple spectral condition α+β>1/2. The proof of this result is nontrivial and has a number-theoretic flavour. Explicit formulas for the solution to the above problem are given in the final section of the paper. The derivation of these formulas is to some extent a byproduct of the proof of the result on the existence of APP solutions.  相似文献

Let be the indefinite Skorohod integral on Wiener space (Ω,H,P), and let Lt(x) be its the generalized local time introduced by Tudor in [C.A. Tudor, Martingale-type stochastic calculus for anticipating integral processes, Bernoulli 10 (2004) 313-325]. We prove that the generalized local time, as a nonlinear functional of ω, is in the fractional Sobolev spaces Dα,p ( and p>2) under some conditions imposed on the anticipating integrand u via the technique of Malliavin calculus and the K-method in the real interpolation theory. The result is optimal for the fractional Brownian motion with the Hurst parameter .  相似文献

In this note, we investigate the generalized modulus of convexity δ ( λ ) and the generalized modulus smoothness ρ ( λ ) . We obtain some estimates of these moduli for X = lp . We obtain inequalities between WCS coefficient of a K¨othe sequence space X and δ ( λ ) X . A complete classification of generalized (or local) symmetries of the Yang-Mills equations on four dimensional Minkowski space with a semi-simple structure group is carried out. It is shown that any generalized symmetry, up to a generalized gauge symmetry, agrees with a first order symmetry on solutions of the Yang-Mills equations. Let be the decomposition of the Lie algebra of the structure group into simple ideals. First order symmetries for -valued Yang-Mills fields are found to consist of gauge symmetries, conformal symmetries for -valued Yang-Mills fields, 1?m?n, and their images under a complex structure of .  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a multi-projection and iterated multi-projection methods for Fredholm integral equations of the second kind with a smooth kernel using polynomial bases. We obtain super-convergence rates for the approximate solutions, more precisely, we prove that in M-Galerkin and M-collocation methods not only iterative solution approximates the exact solution u in the supremum norm with the order of convergence n-4k, but also the derivatives of approximate the corresponding derivatives of u in the supremum norm with the same order of convergence, n being the degree of polynomial approximation and k being the smoothness of the kernel.  相似文献

This paper concerns shock reflection for a system of hyperbolic balance laws in one space dimension. It is shown that the generalized nonlinear initial-boundary Riemann problem for a system of hyperbolic balance laws with nonlinear boundary conditions in the half space admits a unique global piecewise C1 solution u=u(t,x) containing only shocks with small amplitude and this solution possesses a global structure similar to that of self-similar solution of the corresponding homogeneous Riemann problem, if each characteristic field with positive velocity is genuinely nonlinear and the corresponding homogeneous Riemann problem has only shocks but no centered rarefaction waves and contact discontinuities. This result is also applied to shock reflection for the flow equations of a model class of fluids with viscosity induced by fading memory.  相似文献

In this paper, we reconsider the iterative method Xk=Xk−1+βY(IAXk−1), k=1,2,…,βC?{0} for computing the generalized inverse over Banach spaces or the generalized Drazin inverse ad of a Banach algebra element a, reveal the intrinsic relationship between the convergence of such iterations and the existence of or ad, and present the error bounds of the iterative methods for approximating or ad.
