Fractional calculus has been used to model physical and engineering processes that are found to be best described by fractional differential equations. For that reason we need a reliable and efficient technique for the solution of fractional differential equations. Here we construct the operational matrix of fractional derivative of order α in the Caputo sense using the linear B-spline functions. The main characteristic behind the approach using this technique is that it reduces such problems to those of solving a system of algebraic equations thus we can solve directly the problem. The method is applied to solve two types of fractional differential equations, linear and nonlinear. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the new technique presented in the current paper. 相似文献

Since the spherical Gaussian radial function is strictly positive definite, the
authors use the linear combinations of translations of the Gaussian kernel to interpolate
the scattered data on spheres in this article. Seeing that target functions are usually outside
the native spaces, and that one has to solve a large scaled system of linear equations to
obtain combinatorial coefficients of interpolant functions, the authors first probe into some
problems about interpolation with Gaussian radial functions. Then they construct quasiinterpolation
operators by Gaussian radial function, and get the degrees of approximation.
Moreover, they show the error relations between quasi-interpolation and interpolation when
they have the same basis functions. Finally, the authors discuss the construction and

We investigate the Monge-Ampère equation subject to zero boundary value and with a positive right-hand side function assumed to be continuous or essentially bounded. Interior estimates of the solution's first and second derivatives are obtained in terms of moduli of continuity. We explicate how the estimates depend on various quantities but have them independent of the solution's modulus of convexity. Our main theorem has many useful consequences. One of them is the nonlinear dependence between the Hölder seminorms of the solution and of the right-side function, which confirms the results of Figalli, Jhaveri & Mooney in [7]. This article communicates findings from a year-long constructivist teaching experiment about the relationship between four sixth-grade students’ multiplicative structures and their construction of improper fractions. Students’ multiplicative structures are the units coordinations that they can take as given prior to activity—i.e., the units coordinations that they have interiorized. This research indicates that the construction of improper fractions requires having interiorized three levels of units. Students who have interiorized only two levels of units may operate with fractions greater than one, but they don’t produce improper fractions. These findings call for a revision in Steffe's hypothesis (Steffe, L. P. (2002). A new hypothesis concerning children's fractional knowledge. Journal of Mathematical Behavior, 20, 267-307) that upon the construction of the splitting operation, students’ fractional schemes can be regarded as essentially including improper fractions. While the splitting operation seems crucial in the construction of improper fractions, it is not necessarily accompanied by the interiorization of three levels of units. 相似文献

In the note, we obtain the estimates for the rate of convergence for a sequence of q-Bernstein polynomials {Bn,q(f)} for 0<q<1 by the modulus of continuity of f, and the estimates are sharp with respect to the order for Lipschitz continuous functions. We also get the exact orders of convergence for a family of functions , and the orders do not depend on α, unlike the classical case. 相似文献
