Channels make up 46% of the crystal volume: A two-dimensional coordination polymer of exceptional structural regularity (see schematic drawing; tpp=tetraphenylporphyrin, tpyp=tetrapyridylporphyrin) was assembled from [MnIII(tpp)]⋅ClO4 and tpyp. The crystal packing of these polymers yields an open bulk structure with networks of perpendicular channels filled with nitrobenzene solvent molecules. Only oligomeric entities are formed by the reaction of [ZnII(tpp)] with tpyp.  相似文献

The syntheses, structures, and magnetic properties are reported for four new lanthanide clusters [Sm(4)(μ(3)-OH)(2)L(2)(acac)(6)]·4H(2)O (1), [Gd(4)(μ(3)-OH)(2)L(2)(acac)(6)]·4CH(3)CN (2), and [Ln(4)(μ(3)-OH)(2)L(2)(acac)(6)]·2H(2)L·2CH(3)CN (3, Ln = Tb; 4, Ln = Dy) supported by salen-type (H(2)L = N,N'-bis(salicylidene)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine) and β-diketonate (acac = acetylacetonate) ligands. The four clusters were confirmed to be essentially isomorphous by infrared spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Their crystal structures reveal that the salen-type ligand provides a suitable tetradentate coordination pocket (N(2)O(2)) to encapsulate lanthanide(III) ions. Moreover, the planar Ln(4) core is bridged by two μ(3)-hydroxide, four phenoxide, and two ketonate oxygen atoms. Magnetic properties of all four compounds have been investigated using dc and ac susceptibility measurements. For 4, the static and dynamic data indicate that the Dy(4) complex exhibits slow relaxation of the magnetization below 5 K associated with single-molecule magnet behavior.  相似文献

The synthesis of a new series of cationic monoporphyrinates with “light” lanthanide ions is reported. The meso-tetrakis(4-pyridyl)porphyrin, (tpyp)H2, was used as the tetrapyrrole ligand, and the metallation reaction with the lanthanide ions in acetyl-acetonato form, leading to Ln(tpyp)acac, where Ln = Sm, Eu, Gd and Tb, was carried out. The cationic monoporphyrinates, Ln(tmepyp)acac, were synthesized via the corresponding Ln(tpyp)acac. These complexes are freely soluble in aqueous and non-aqueous solutions, like MeOH, H2O or N,N-dimethylformamide. Their spectroscopic properties in water and DMF solutions are reported. All the complexes were characterized on the basis of their UV-vis, IR and ESR data. No ESR spectra were obtained for cationic porphyrins in DMF for Sm, Eu and Tb, while the spectra of Gd(tmepyp)acac in DMF exhibits smaller ΔHpp (103.1 G) among the spectra of GdIII complexes. The unexpected broad signal of Eu(t-mepyp)acac, ΔHpp = 126.9 G, in H2O is discussed in terms of the formal oxidation state +2 for the central ion.  相似文献

The reaction of Ln(acac)(3).3H(2)O (Ln = Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Yb) with K[Cr(2)(CO)(10)(micro-H)] at different molar ratios and solvents leads to the formation of nonanuclear lanthanide hydroxo acetylacetonate complexes of general formula [Ln(9)(OH)(10)(acac)(16)][HCr(2)(CO)(10)]. The compounds are isomorphous, and the common cationic cluster core consists of a novel square antiprismatic arrangement of nine Ln atoms connected by micro(3), micro(4) hydroxo bridges and/or by acetylacetonate ligands as it results from the single-crystal X-ray analysis of the Sm derivative for which the most suitable crystals were obtained.  相似文献

Reactions of a tetravanadate anion, [V(4)O(12)](4-), with a series of lanthanide(III) salts yield three types of lanthanide complexes of macrocyclic polyoxovanadates: (Et(4)N)(6)[Ln(III)V(9)O(27)] [Ln = Nd (1), Sm (2), Eu (3), Gd (4), Tb (5), Dy (6)], (Et(4)N)(5)[(H(2)O)Ho(III)(V(4)O(12))(2)] (7), and (Et(4)N)(7)[Ln(III)V(10)O(30)] [Ln = Er (8), Tm (9), Yb (10), Lu (11)]. Lanthanide complexes 1-11 are isolated and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (EXAFS). Lanthanide complexes 1-6 are composed of a square-antiprism eight-coordinated Ln(III) center with a macrocyclic polyoxovanadate that is constructed from nine VO(4) tetrahedra through vertex sharing. The structure of 7 is composed of a seven-coordinated Ho(III) center, which exhibits a capped trigonal-prism coordination environment by the sandwiching of two cyclic tetravanadates with a capping H(2)O ligand. Lanthanide complexes 8-11 have a six-coordinated Ln(III) center with a 10-membered vanadate ligand. The structural trend to adopt a larger coordination number for a larger lanthanide ion among the three types of structures is accompanied by a change in the vanadate ring sizes. These lanthanide complexes are examined by EXAFS spectroscopies on lanthanide L(III) absorption edges, and the EXAFS oscillations of each of the samples in the solid state and in acetonitrile are identical. The Ln-O and Ln···V bond lengths obtained from fits of the EXAFS data are consistent with the data from the single-crystal X-ray studies, reflecting retention of the structures in acetonitrile.  相似文献

The novel carbamide complexes of gadolinium and erbium iodides of the composition LnI34Ur·4H2O (Ln = Gd, Er; Ur = carbamide) were synthesized and studied by X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy. The ligands are coordinated to the central Gd or Er atom through the O atoms of water or carbamide molecules. The coordination polylhedron of Ln atoms is a distorted square antiprism. The iodide ions are not coordinated and lie in the outer sphere.  相似文献

Tris-beta-diketonate lanthanide(III) complexes (Ln = Eu, Er, Yb, Tb), of general formula [Ln(acac)3 L(m)], with chelating ligands such as 4,7-disubstituted-1,10-phenanthrolines and 4,4'-disubstituted-2,2'-bipyridines, have been synthesized and fully characterized. The inductive effects of the para-substituents on the aromatic N-donor ligands have been investigated both in the solid and in the solution states. Single-crystal X-ray structures have been determined for the diethyl 1,10-phenanthroline-4,7-dicarboxylate europium and 4,4'-dimethoxy-2,2'-bipyridine erbium derivatives, revealing a distorted square antiprismatic geometry around the lanthanide atom in both cases. The influence exerted by the p,p'-substituents with respect to the nitrogen coordinating atoms on the Ln-N bond distances is discussed comparing the geometrical parameters with those found for the crystal structures containing the fragments [Ln(III)(phen)] and [Ln(III)(bipy)] obtained from the Cambridge Structural Database. The influence exerted by the electron-attracting groups on the coordination ability of the ligands, that in some cases becomes lack of coordination of the lanthanide ions, has been also detected in solution where the loss of the ligand has been followed by UV-vis spectroscopy. Moreover, the use of relatively long alkoxy chains as substituents on the 1,10-phenanthroline ligand led to the formation of a promesogenic lanthanide complex, whose thermal behavior is encouraging for the synthesis of new lanthanide liquid-crystalline species.  相似文献

Reactions of 1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1,4,7-triyl-tris(methylenephosphonic acid) [notpH(6), C(9)H(18)N(3)(PO(3)H(2))3] with different lanthanide salts result in four types of Ln-notp compounds: [Ln{C(9)H(20)N(3)(PO(3)H)(2)(PO(3))}(NO(3))(H(2)O)].4H2O (1), [Ln = Eu (1 Eu), Gd (1 Gd), Tb (1 Tb)], [Ln{C(9)H(20)N(3)(PO(3)H)(2)(PO(3))}(H2O)]Cl.3H2O (2) [Ln = Eu (2 Eu), Gd (2 Gd), Tb (2 Tb)], [Ln{C(9)H(20)N(3)(PO(3)H)(2)(PO(3))}(H2O)]ClO4.8H2O, (3) [Ln = Eu (3 Eu), Gd (3 Gd)], and [Ln{C(9)H(20)N(3)(PO(3)H)(2)(PO(3))}(H2O)]ClO4.3H2O (4), [Ln = Gd (4 Gd), Tb (4 Tb)]. Compounds within each type are isostructural. In compounds 1, dimers of {Ln2(notpH4)2(NO3)2(H2O)2} are found, in which the two lanthanide atoms are connected by two pairs of O-P-O and one pair of mu-O bridges. The NO3- ion serves as a bidentate terminal ligand. Compounds 2 contain similar dimeric units of {Ln2(notpH4)2(H2O)2} that are further connected by a pair of O-P-O bridges into an alternating chain. The Cl- ions are involved in the interchain hydrogen-bonding networks. A similar chain structure is also found in compounds 3; in this case, however, the chains are linked by ClO4- counterions through hydrogen-bonding interactions, forming an undulating layer in the (011) plane. These layers are fused through hydrogen-bonding interactions, leading to a three-dimensional supramolecular network with large channels in the [100] direction. Compounds 4 show an interesting brick-wall-like layer structure in which the neighboring lanthanide atoms are connected by a pair of O-P-O bridges. The ClO4- counterions and the lattice water molecules are between the layers. In all compounds the triazamacrocyclic nitrogen atoms are not coordinated to the Ln(III) ions. The anions and the pH are believed to play key roles in directing the formation of a particular structure. The fluorescence spectroscopic properties of the Eu and Tb compounds, magnetic properties of the Gd compounds, and the catalytic properties of 4 Gd were also studied.  相似文献

The complexes of formulas Ln(pydc)(Hpydc) (Ln = Sm (1), Eu (2), Gd (3); H2pydc = pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic acid) and Ln(pydc)(bc)(H2O) (Ln = Sm (4), Gd (5); Hbc = benzenecarboxylic acid) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 1-3 are isomorphous and crystallize in the orthorhombic system, space group Pbcn. Their final three-dimensional racemic frameworks can be considered as being constructed by helix-linked scalelike sheets. Compounds 4 and 5 are isostructural and crystallize in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c. pydc ligands bridge dinuclear lanthanide centers to form the three-dimensional frameworks featuring hexagonal channels along the a-axis that are occupied by one-end-coordinated bc ligands. From the topological point of view, the five three-dimensional nets are binodal with six- and three-connected nodes, the former of which exhibit a rutile-related (4.6(2))(2)(4(2).6(9).8(4)) topology that is unprecedented within coordination frames, and the latter two species display a distorted rutile (4.6(2))(2)(4(2).6(10).8(3)) topology. Furthermore, the luminescent properties of 2 were studied.  相似文献

A series of isostructural open-framework coordination polymers formulated as [Ln(dmf)(3)(ptmtc)] (Ln = Sm (1), Eu (2), Gd (3), Tb (4), Dy (5); PTMTC = polychlorotriphenylmethyl tricarboxylate) and [Ln(dmf)(2)H(2)O(αH-ptmtc)] (Ln = Sm (1'), Eu (2'), Gd (3'), Tb (4'), Dy (5')) have been obtained by treating Ln(III) ions with PTMTC ligands with a radical (PTMTC(3-)) or a closed-shell character (αH-PTMTC(3-)). X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that these coordination polymers possess 3D architectures that combine large channels and fairly rare lattice complex T connectivity. In addition, these compounds show selective framework dynamic sorption properties. For both classes of ligands, the ability to act as an antenna in Ln sensitization processes has been investigated. No luminescence was observed for compounds 1-5, and 3' because of the PTMTC(3-) ligand and/or Gd(III) ion characteristics. Conversely, photoluminescence measurements show that 1', 2', 4', and 5' emit dark orange, red, green, and dark cyan metal-centered luminescence. The magnetic properties of all of these compounds have been investigated. The nature of the {Ln-radical} exchange interaction in these compounds has been assessed by comparing the behavior of the radical-based coordination polymers 1-5 with those of the compounds with the diamagnetic ligand set. While antiferromagnetic {Sm-radical} interactions are found in 1, ferromagnetic {Ln-radical} interactions propagate in the 3D architectures of 3, 4, and 5 (Ln = Gd, Tb, and Dy, respectively). This procedure also provided access to information on the {Ln-Ln} exchange existing in these magnetic systems.  相似文献

A new pyridine-containing ligand, N,N'-bis(6-carboxy-2-pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine-N,N'-diacetic acid (H(4)L), has been designed for the complexation of lanthanide ions. (1)H and (13)C NMR studies in D(2)O solutions show octadentate binding of the ligand to the Ln(III) ions through the nitrogen atoms of two amine groups, the oxygen atoms of four carboxylates, and the two nitrogen atoms of the pyridine rings. Luminescence measurements demonstrate that both Eu(III) and Tb(III) complexes are nine-coordinate, whereby a water molecule completes the Ln(III) coordination sphere. Ligand L can sensitize both the Eu(III) and Tb(III) luminescence; however, the quantum yields of the Eu(III)- and Tb(III)-centered luminescence remain modest. This is explained in terms of energy differences between the singlet and triplet states on the one hand, and between the 0-phonon transition of the triplet state and the excited metal ion states on the other. The anionic [Ln(L)(H2O)]- complexes (Ln=La, Pr, and Gd) were also characterized by theoretical calculations both in vacuo and in aqueous solution (PCM model) at the HF level by means of the 3-21G* basis set for the ligand atoms and a 46+4 f(n) effective core potential for the lanthanides. The structures obtained from these theoretical calculations are in very good agreement with the experimental solution structures, as demonstrated by paramagnetic NMR measurements (lanthanide-induced shifts and relaxation-rate enhancements). Data sets obtained from variable-temperature (17)O NMR at 7.05 T and variable-temperature (1)H nuclear magnetic relaxation dispersion (NMRD) on the Gd(III) complex were fitted simultaneously to give insight into the parameters that govern the water (1)H relaxivity. The water exchange rate (k(298)(ex)=5.0 x 10(6) s(-1)) is slightly faster than in [Gd(dota)(H2O)]- (DOTA=1,4,7,10-tetrakis(carboxymethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane). Fast rotation limits the relaxivity under the usual MRI conditions.  相似文献

Two new structure-related tripodal ligands featuring salicylamide pendant arms, 1,3,5-tris{[(2'-furfurylaminoformyl)phenoxyl]methyl}-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene (L(I)) and 1,1,1-tris{[(2'-furfurylaminoformyl)phenoxyl]methyl}ethane (L(II)) have been designed and synthesized with the ultimate aim of self-assembling lanthanide polymers with interesting luminescent properties. Among two series of Ln(III) nitrate complexes (Ln = Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb or Dy) which have been characterized by elemental analyses, XRD, TGA and IR spectra, three new coordination polymers have been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The coordination polymer type {[Ln(NO(3))(3)(L(I))].nH(2)O}(n) possesses an unusual ladderlike double chain which can be further connected through pi-pi stacking interactions constructing a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. In contrast, the coordination polymer type {[Ln(NO(3))(3)(L(II))].nCH(3)OH}(n) displays a (3,3)-connected puckered two-dimensional net with 4.8(2) topological notation. The photophysical properties of the Sm, Eu, Tb and Dy complexes at room temperature are investigated. The present work substantiates the claim that the supramolecular structure as well as the luminescent properties of the coordination polymer can be tuned by varying either the backbone group or the terminal group of the organic ligand.  相似文献

Lanthanide-organic coordination polymeric networks of [Ln(III)2(suc)3(H2O)2].0.5H2O [suc = succinate dianion, Ln = Pr (1), Nd (2), Sm (3), Eu (4), Gd (5), and Dy (6)] have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. The structural determination reveals that complexes are isomorphous, all crystallizing in monoclinic system, space group I2/a(.) The complexes possess a 3D architecture with Ln ion in a nine-coordination geometry attained by eight oxygen atoms from succinate and one oxygen atom from an aqua ligand. Low-temperature magnetic study indicates that ferromagnetic interaction is present in case of Gd(III) and Dy(III). Antiferromagnetic interaction is observed for the rest of the complexes. Density functional theory calculations are performed which support the existence of a superexchange ferromagnetic coupling in Gd(III) ions, whereas classical crystal field model has been applied to study the complexes 1, 2, 3, and 6.  相似文献

Three new 2p-4f complexes of [Ln(acac)(3)(NIT-2Py)]·0.5NIT-2Py [Ln(III) = Gd(1), Dy(2)] and [Dy(tfa)(3)(NIT-2Py)]·0.5C(7)H(16) (3) (NIT-2Py = 2-(2'-pyridyl)- 4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide; acac = acetylacetonate and tfa = trifluoroacetylacetonate) have been synthesized, and structurally and magnetically characterized. The X-ray structural analysis exhibits that the three complexes show similar mononuclear structures, in which NIT-2Py radical chelates the Ln(III) ion through the oxygen atom of the NO group and the nitrogen atom from the pyridine ring. The static magnetic measurements on the three complexes exhibit ferromagnetic coupling between the lanthanide ion and the radical. Compared to the silence of the out-of-phase ac susceptibility of complex 3, the magnetic relaxation behavior of complex 2 is observed, suggesting single-molecule magnet behavior. The different magnetic relaxation behaviours of 2 and 3 are due to their slightly different crystal structure around the Dy(III) ions. It was demonstrated that the spin dynamic can be modified by the careful adjustment of the ligand field around the metal center.  相似文献

Lanthanide (Ln) oxides and cadmium (Cd) salts as sources of metals provided the first series of luminescent Ln-Cd-organic frameworks, [LnCd(imdc)(SO4)(H2O)3].0.5H2O (Ln = Tb, Eu, Dy, Gd, Er, Yb, Y, Nd, Pr; H3imdc = 4,5-imidazoledicarboxylic acid), in which the Ln atoms are linked by imdc ligands with skew coordination orientation, resulting in novel hetero-metallic-organic frameworks with left-/right-handed helical tubes (L1/R1) and channels (L2/R2) along the b axis.  相似文献

X-ray diffraction data and NMR spectra of diperchloratotetraphenylporphinatotin(IV), Sn(tpp)(ClO4)2 provide evidence for a monodentate perchlorato group coordinated to the Sn(IV) atom. The molecule Sn(tpp)(ClO4)2 displays an octahedral coordination geometry for the tin atom and its crystal belongs to the monoclinic space group P21/n with a = 11.241(3), b = 14.644(3), c = 12.173(3) Å,β = 111.18(2)°, and Z = 2. The structure was solved by direct method, 3996 unique reflections having I > 3σ(I) measured with an automated diffractometer were used to refine the crystal structure to a conventional R factor 0.0431. The tin(IV) ion is centered on a planar tpp moiety. The geometry at the octahedral coordination centre of the Sn(tpp) (ClO4)2 molecule has Sn-O(perchlorate) = 2.181 Å and Sn-N = 2.073 Å.  相似文献

Heterodinuclear [(Ni (II)L)Ln (III)(hfac) 2(EtOH)] (H 3L = 1,1,1-tris[(salicylideneamino)methyl]ethane; Ln = Eu, Gd, Tb, and Dy; hfac = hexafluoroacetylacetonate) complexes ( 1.Ln) were prepared by treating [Ni(H 1.5L)]Cl 0.5 ( 1) with [Ln(hfac) 3(H 2O) 2] and triethylamine in ethanol (1:1:1). All 1.Ln complexes ( 1.Eu, 1.Gd, 1.Tb, and 1.Dy) crystallized in the triclinic space group P1 (No. 2) with Z = 2 with very similar structures. Each complex is a face-sharing dinuclear molecule. The Ni (II) ion is coordinated by the L (3-) ligand in a N 3O 3 coordination sphere, and the three phenolate oxygen atoms coordinate to an Ln (III) ion as bridging atoms. The Ln (III) ion is eight-coordinate, with four oxygen atoms of two hfac (-)'s, three phenolate oxygen atoms of L (3-), and one ethanol oxygen atom coordinated. Temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility and field-dependent magnetization measurements showed a ferromagnetic interaction between Ni (II) and Gd (III) in 1.Gd. The Ni (II)-Ln (III) magnetic interactions in 1.Eu, 1.Tb, and 1.Dy were evaluated by comparing their magnetic susceptibilities with those of the isostructural Zn (II)-Ln (III) complexes, [(ZnL)Ln(hfac) 2(EtOH)] ( 2.Ln) containing a diamagnetic Zn (II) ion. A ferromagnetic interaction was indicated in 1.Tb and 1.Dy, while the interaction between Ni (II) and Eu (III) was negligible in 1.Eu. The magnetic behaviors of 1.Dy and 2.Dy were analyzed theoretically to give insight into the sublevel structures of the Dy (III) ion and its coupling with Ni (II). Frequency dependence in the ac susceptibility signals was observed in 1.Dy.  相似文献
