Antiplane strain of an elastic cylindrical body is studied with allowance for geometrical and physical nonlinearities and potential forces. The nonlinear boundary-value problem for two independent strains is solved. An analytical solution and the corresponding load are obtained for the Rivlin-Saunders quadratic elastic potential, which models finite elastic strains. The problem for displacements specified on the boundary is solved. The stress-strain state of an incompressible cylindrical elastic body with antiplane strain under the action of potential forces and surface loading constant along the body is considered in a nonlinear formulation in actual variables. The stresses are expressed via the pressure and independent strains, the pressure is expressed via the force and elastic potentials, and nonlinear boundary-value problems are posed for strains (and displacements). Various methods for solving these problems are developed. The plane strain of an incompressible body is studied with geometrical and physical nonlinearity and potential forces taken into account. A nonlinear system of equations for strains is obtained in actual variables, and conditions of its ellipticity are derived in terms of the elastic potential. Boundary conditions for strains are found from specified loads. The linear elastostatic displacement boundary-value problem is considered for a bounded simply connected region Ω in R n in the case of a homogeneous isotropic medium. For n = 2 it is shown that if all solenoidal forcing terms result in solenoidal displacements, then Ω is a disk. It is likely that the result is true for n ≥ 3 but that problem is not resolved. A method is proposed for constructing a general solution to the three-dimensional thermoelastic equations in stresses (compatibility conditions and equilibrium equations). The physically and statistically nonlinear problem of steady-state creep for a thick-walled tube loaded by internal pressure is solved in the third approximation using the small-parameter method. The variances of random creep strain rates and displacements are calculated. The results obtained are compared with the solution of the same problem in the first and second approximations. The gradient model of stochastically inhomogeneous media is used to study the stress concentration around a circular hole in a two-component elastic composite. The study is based on a general solution of the system of equilibrium equations expressed in terms of harmonic functions and functions that satisfy the Helmholtz equation. This solution is used to solve problems for an infinite plane with a circular hole under uniform and uniaxial tension. The paper studies the fall and ascent in air of a spherical body with radius linearly decreasing with time. The first integral of the nonlinear equation of motion is expressed in closed form in terms of Bessel functions on the assumption that the aerodynamic drag depends on the velocity as a quadratic polynomial. A mathematical model is proposed to describe the static deformation of a unidirectional fiber-reinforced composite under plane-strain conditions in a plane perpendicular to the fiber direction. The model is based on the stochastic static equations for an elastic homogeneous two-component medium with nonzero body forces. Applying the method of conditional moments and double Fourier transform yields a nonlocal model in the form of integro-differential equations. Expanding the integral kernels into series in expansion coefficients yields differential equations whose order depends on the number of terms in the series. The zero-order approximation leads to the theory of effective moduli, the first-order approximation to the refined theory of effective moduli, and the second-order approximation to fourth-order equilibrium equations for mean displacements (mathematical expectations) and formulas for displacements, strains, and stresses averaged over the composite and its components. All the coefficients in theses formulas are expressed in terms of the elastic constants of the components and the geometric parameters of the structure. The model is valid for heavy stress gradients. This paper considers the deformation and viscoplastic flow of a non-Newtonian material enclosed between coaxial rigid cylindrical surfaces, each of which performs a rotation followed by a stop and a rotation in the opposite direction. The problem is solved using the model of large elastoviscoplastic deformations, in contrast to the classical solutions obtained using the model of a rigid viscoplastic body. The problem of the torsion and tension-compression of a prismatic bar with a stress-free lateral surface is studied using three-dimensional elasticity theory for materials with moment stresses. A substitution is found that allows one to separate one variable in the nonlinear equilibrium equations for a Cosserat continuum and boundary conditions on the lateral surface. This substitution reduces the original spatial problem of the equilibrium of a micropolar body to a two-dimensional nonlinear boundary-value problem for a plane region shaped like the cross section of the prismatic bar. This Note deals with the identification of internal planar cracks inside a three-dimensional elastic body via two approaches relying on domain decomposition using elastostatic measurements. These approaches consist in recasting the problem in terms of primal or dual Steklov–Poincaré equations. The primal approach is a straightforward continuation to the elastic Cauchy problem of the work presented in J. Ben Abdallah (2007) [1] which is devoted to the Cauchy problem for the scalar Laplace equation. The numerical performances of these formulations are compared.  相似文献

The contact problem for a prestressed elastic strip reinforced with equally spaced elastic plates is considered. The Fourier integral transform is used to construct an influence function of a unit concentrated force acting on the infinite elastic strip with one edge constrained. The transmission of forces from the thin elastic plates to the prestressed strip is analyzed. On the assumption that the beam bending model and the uniaxial stress model are valid for an elastic plate subjected to both vertical and horizontal forces, the problem is mathematically formulated as a system of integro-differential equations for unknown contact stresses. This system is reduced to an infinite system of algebraic equations solved by the reduction method. The effect of the initial stresses on the distribution of contact forces in the strip under tension and compression is studied  相似文献

This paper considers a two-dimensional linear unsteady problem of rigid-stamp indentation on an elastic layer of finite thickness lying on the surface of a compressible fluid of infinite depth. The Lamé equations holds for the elastic layer, and the wave equation for the fluid velocity potential. Using the Laplace and Fourier transforms, the problem is reduced to determining the contact stresses under the stamp from the solution of an integral equation of the first kind, whose kernel has a logarithmic singularity.
