The muon anomalous magnetic moment exhibits a 3.6σ discrepancy between experiment and theory. One explanation requires the existence of a light vector boson, Z_{d} (the dark Z), with mass 10-500?MeV that couples weakly to the electromagnetic current through kinetic mixing. Support for such a solution also comes from astrophysics conjectures regarding the utility of a U(1)_{d} gauge symmetry in the dark matter sector. In that scenario, we show that mass mixing between the Z_{d} and ordinary Z boson introduces a new source of "dark" parity violation, which is potentially observable in atomic and polarized electron scattering experiments. Restrictive bounds on the mixing (m_{Z_{d}}/m_{Z})δ are found from existing atomic parity violation results, δ^{2}<2×10^{-5}. Combined with future planned and proposed polarized electron scattering experiments, a sensitivity of δ^{2}~10^{-6} is expected to be reached, thereby complementing direct searches for the Z_{d} boson.  相似文献

There is good agreement between the neutrino mass square difference determined from the solar neutrino and anti-neutrino mass square difference from the KamLAND reactor antineutrino. We consider as special case of matter density profile, which are relevant for neutrino oscillation physics. In particular, we compute to constrain a specific from of CPT violation in matter by upper bound, $|\varDelta_{21}^{m}-\overline{\varDelta_{21}^{m}}| \ll 1.098\times10^{-4}~\mathrm{eV}^{2}$ and $|\sin2\theta_{12}^{m}-\sin2\bar{\theta}_{12}^{m}|<0.0057$ . In this paper, we discuss CPT violation on neutrino oscillation in matter. The dispersion relation for the CPT violation in neutrino oscillation in matter are discussed.  相似文献

Models for light dark matter particles with masses below 1 GeV/c\(^2\) are a natural and well-motivated alternative to so-far unobserved weakly interacting massive particles. Gram-scale cryogenic calorimeters provide the required detector performance to detect these particles and extend the direct dark matter search program of CRESST. A prototype 0.5 g sapphire detector developed for the \(\nu \)-cleus experiment has achieved an energy threshold of \(E_{th}=(19.7\pm 0.9)\) eV. This is one order of magnitude lower than for previous devices and independent of the type of particle interaction. The result presented here is obtained in a setup above ground without significant shielding against ambient and cosmogenic radiation. Although operated in a high-background environment, the detector probes a new range of light-mass dark matter particles previously not accessible by direct searches. We report the first limit on the spin-independent dark matter particle-nucleon cross section for masses between 140 and 500 MeV/c\(^2\).  相似文献

In this work we study a phenomenological non-gravitational interaction between dark matter and dark energy. The scenario studied in this work extends the usual interaction model proportional to the derivative of the dark component density adding to the coupling a non-linear term of the form \(Q = \rho '/3(\alpha + \beta \rho _{Dark})\) This dark sector interaction model could be interpreted as a particular case of a running vacuum model of the type \(\Lambda (H) = n_0 + n_1 H^2 + n_2 H^4\) in which the vacuum decays into dark matter. For a flat FRW Universe filled with dark energy, dark matter and decoupled baryonic matter and radiation we calculate the energy density evolution equations of the dark sector and solve them. The different sign combinations of the two parameters of the model show clear qualitative different cosmological scenarios, from basic cosmological insights we discard some of them. The linear scalar perturbation equations of the dark matter were calculated. Using the CAMB code we calculate the CMB and matter power spectra for some values of the parameters \(\alpha \) and \(\beta \) and compare it with \(\Lambda \)CDM. The model modify mainly the lower multipoles of the CMB power spectrum remaining almost the same the high ones. The matter power spectrum for low wave numbers is not modified by the interaction but after the maximum it is clearly different. Using observational data from Planck, and various galaxy surveys we obtain the constraints of the parameters, the best fit values obtained are the combinations \(\alpha = (3.7 \pm 7 )\times 10^{-4} \), \(-\,(1.5\times 10^{-5}\, \mathrm{eV}^{-1})^{4} \ll \beta < (0.07\,\mathrm{eV}^{-1})^4\).  相似文献

We show that linear Regge trajectories for mesons and glueballs, and the cubic mass spectrum associated with them, determine a relation between the masses of the meson and the scalar glueball, , which implies MeV. We also discuss relations between the masses of the scalar, tensor and 3-- glueballs, , which imply MeV.  相似文献

The WIMPs are considered to belong to the favorable dark matter (DM) candidates, but the upper bounds on the interactions between DM and standard model (SM) particles obtained by the upgraded facilities of DM direct detection get lower and lower. Researchers turn their attention to the search for less massive DM candidates, i.e. light dark matter of the MeV scale. The recently measured anomalous transition in \(^8\)Be suggests that there exists a vectorial boson which may mediate the interaction between DM and SM particles. Based on this scenario, we combine the relevant cosmological data to constrain the mass range of DM, and we have found that there exists a model parameter space where the requirements are satisfied, a range of \(10.4 \lesssim m_{\phi } \lesssim \) 16.7 MeV for scalar DM, and \(13.6 \lesssim m_{V} \lesssim 16.7\) MeV for vectorial DM is demanded. Then a possibility of directly detecting such light DM particles via DM–electron scattering is briefly studied in this framework.  相似文献

We describe a likelihood analysis using MasterCode of variants of the MSSM in which the soft supersymmetry-breaking parameters are assumed to have universal values at some scale \(M_\mathrm{in}\) below the supersymmetric grand unification scale \(M_\mathrm{GUT}\), as can occur in mirage mediation and other models. In addition to \(M_\mathrm{in}\), such ‘sub-GUT’ models have the 4 parameters of the CMSSM, namely a common gaugino mass \(m_{1/2}\), a common soft supersymmetry-breaking scalar mass \(m_0\), a common trilinear mixing parameter A and the ratio of MSSM Higgs vevs \(\tan \beta \), assuming that the Higgs mixing parameter \(\mu > 0\). We take into account constraints on strongly- and electroweakly-interacting sparticles from \(\sim 36\)/fb of LHC data at 13 TeV and the LUX and 2017 PICO, XENON1T and PandaX-II searches for dark matter scattering, in addition to the previous LHC and dark matter constraints as well as full sets of flavour and electroweak constraints. We find a preference for \(M_\mathrm{in}\sim 10^5\) to \(10^9 \,\, \mathrm {GeV}\), with \(M_\mathrm{in}\sim M_\mathrm{GUT}\) disfavoured by \(\Delta \chi ^2 \sim 3\) due to the \(\mathrm{BR}(B_{s, d} \rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-)\) constraint. The lower limits on strongly-interacting sparticles are largely determined by LHC searches, and similar to those in the CMSSM. We find a preference for the LSP to be a Bino or Higgsino with \(m_{\tilde{\chi }^0_{1}} \sim 1 \,\, \mathrm {TeV}\), with annihilation via heavy Higgs bosons H / A and stop coannihilation, or chargino coannihilation, bringing the cold dark matter density into the cosmological range. We find that spin-independent dark matter scattering is likely to be within reach of the planned LUX-Zeplin and XENONnT experiments. We probe the impact of the \((g-2)_\mu \) constraint, finding similar results whether or not it is included.  相似文献

Results of the search for rare radiative decay modes of the ?-meson performed with the Neutral Detector at the VEPP-2M collider are presented. For the first time upper limits for the branching ratios of the following decay modes have been placed at 90% confidence level: $$\begin{gathered} B(\phi \to \eta '\gamma )< 4 \cdot 10^{ - 4} , \hfill \\ B(\phi \to \pi ^0 \pi ^0 \gamma )< 10^{ - 3} , \hfill \\ B(\phi \to f_0 (975)\gamma )< 2 \cdot 10^{ - 3} , \hfill \\ B(\phi \to H\gamma )< 3 \cdot 10^{ - 4} , \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ whereH is a scalar (Higgs) boson with a mass 600 MeV<m H <1000 MeV, the real measurement isB(φH γB(H→2π0)<0.8·10-4, the quoted result is model dependent, as explained in the text, $$\begin{gathered} B(\phi \to a\gamma ) \cdot B(a \to e^ + e^ - )< 5 \cdot 10^{ - 5} , \hfill \\ B(\phi \to a\gamma ) \cdot B(a \to \gamma \gamma )< 2 \cdot 10^{ - 3} , \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ wherea is a particle with a low mass and a short lifetime, $$B(\phi \to a\gamma )< 0.7 \cdot 10^{ - 5} ,$$ wherea is a particle with a low mass not observed in the detector.  相似文献

A search for axioelectric absorption of solar axions produced in the \(p + d \rightarrow {^3\mathrm {He}}+\gamma (5.5~\mathrm {MeV})\) reaction has been performed with a BGO detector placed in a low-background setup. A model-independent limit on the combination of axion–nucleon and axion–electron coupling constants has been obtained: \(| g_{Ae}\times g_{AN}^3|< 1.9\times 10^{-10}\) for 90 % confidence level. The constraint of the axion–electron coupling constant has been obtained for hadronic axion with masses of (0.1–1) MeV: \(|g_{Ae}| \le (0.96 - 8.2)\times 10^{-8}\) .  相似文献

Measurements of Zeeman, Zeeman-hyperfine and ro-vibrational transitions in \(\bar {H}_{2}^{-}(\bar {p}e^{+}\bar {p})\) compared to \(H_{2}^{+}\) have the potential for more precise tests of CPT than can be obtained from antiprotons and antihydrogen. In particular, measurements of ro-vibrational transitions have a potential sensitivity to a difference between antiproton and proton mass three orders of magnitude higher than antihydrogen/hydrogen. Methods are outlined for precision measurements on a single \(\bar {H}_{2}^{-}\) or \({H}_{2}^{+}\) ion in a cryogenic Penning trap, with non-destructive state identification using the continuous Stern-Gerlach effect or changes in mass. \(\bar {H}_{2}^{-}\) can be produced using the \(\bar {H}^{+}+\bar {p} \rightarrow \bar {H}_{2}^{-} + e^{+}\) reaction.  相似文献

finite size of a doubly heavy diquark yields a positive correction to baryon masses calculated in the local-diquark approximation. Upon evaluating this correction for the ground states of doubly charmed baryons, it became possible to obtain new predictions of importance for current searches of these baryons in LHCb experiments: \(m[\Xi _{cc}^{1/{2^{ + + }}}] \approx m[\Xi _{cc}^{1/{2^{ + + }}}]\) = 3615 ± 55 MeV and \(m[\Xi _{cc}^{3/{2^{ + + }}}] \approx m[\Xi _{cc}^{3/{2^{ + + }}}]\) 3747 ± 55 MeV  相似文献

We consider the X(3872) resonance as a \(J^\mathrm{{PC}}=1^{++}\) \(D\bar{D}^*\) hadronic molecule. According to heavy quark spin symmetry, there will exist a partner with quantum numbers \(2^{++}\), \(X_{2}\), which would be a \(D^*\bar{D}^*\) loosely bound state. The \(X_{2}\) is expected to decay dominantly into \(D\bar{D}\), \(D\bar{D}^*\) and \(\bar{D} D^*\) in d-wave. In this work, we calculate the decay widths of the \(X_{2}\) resonance into the above channels, as well as those of its bottom partner, \(X_{b2}\), the mass of which comes from assuming heavy flavor symmetry for the contact terms. We find partial widths of the \(X_{2}\) and \(X_{b2}\) of the order of a few MeV. Finally, we also study the radiative \(X_2\rightarrow D\bar{D}^{*}\gamma \) and \(X_{b2} \rightarrow \bar{B} B^{*}\gamma \) decays. These decay modes are more sensitive to the long-distance structure of the resonances and to the \(D\bar{D}^{*}\) or \(B\bar{B}^{*}\) final state interaction.  相似文献

We investigate about the stability of generalized QCD ghost dark energy model against perturbations in the FRW background. For this purpose, we use the squared sound speed $v_{s}^{2}$ whose sign determines the stability of the model. We explore the stability of this model in the presence/absence of interaction between dark energy and dark matter in both flat and non-flat geometry. In all cases we find almost a same result. Based on the square sound speed analysis, due to the existence of a free parameter in this model, the model is theoretically capable to lead a dark energy dominated stable universe. However, observational constraints rule out such a chance. In conclusion, we find evidences that the generalized ghost dark energy might can not lead to a stable universe favored by observations at the present time.  相似文献

We study the polytropic gas scenario as the unification of dark matter and dark energy. We fit the model parameters by using the latest observational data including type Ia supernovae, baryon acoustic oscillation, cosmic microwave background, and Hubble parameter data. At 68.3 % and 95.4 % confidence levels, we find the best fit values of the model parameters as $\tilde{K}=0.742_{-0.024}^{+0.024}(1\sigma)_{-0.049}^{+0.048}(2\sigma)$ and $n=-1.05_{-0.08}^{+0.08}(1\sigma)_{-0.16}^{+0.15}(2\sigma)$ . Using the best fit values of the model, we obtain the evolutionary behaviors of the equation of state parameters of the polytropic gas model and dark energy, the deceleration parameter of the universe, the dimensionless density parameters of dark matter and dark energy as well as the growth factor of structure formation. Then, we investigate different energy conditions in the polytropic gas model and obtain that only the strong energy condition is violated for the special ranges of the redshift. We also conclude that in the this model, the universe starts from the matter dominated epoch and approaches a de Sitter phase at late times, as expected. Further, the universe begins to accelerate at redshift z t=0.74. Furthermore, in contrary to the ΛCDM model, the cosmic coincidence problem is solved naturally in the polytropic gas scenario. Moreover, this model fits the data of the growth factor well as the ΛCDM model.  相似文献

A new dark energy model called “ghost dark energy” was recently suggested to explain the observed accelerating expansion of the universe. This model originates from the Veneziano ghost of QCD. The dark energy density is proportional to Hubble parameter, ρ Λ = α H, where α is a constant of order \({\Lambda }^{3}_{QCD}\) and Λ Q C D ~ 100M e V is QCD mass scale. In this paper, we investigate about the stability of generalized QCD ghost dark energy model against perturbations in the anisotropic background. At first, the ghost dark energy model of the universe with spatial BI model with/without the interaction between dark matter and dark energy is discussed. In particular, the equation of state and the deceleration parameters and a differential equation governing the evolution of this dark energy model are obtained. Then, we use the squared sound speed \({v_{s}^{2}}\) the sign of which determines the stability of the model. We explore the stability of this model in the presence/absence of interaction between dark energy and dark matter in both flat and non-isotropic geometry. In conclusion, we find evidence that the ghost dark energy might can not lead to a stable universe favored by observations at the present time in BI universe.  相似文献

We study the prospects to measure the CP-sensitive triple-product asymmetries in neutralino production \(e^{+} e^{-} \to\tilde{\chi}^{0}_{i}\tilde{\chi}^{0}_{1}\) and subsequent leptonic two-body decays \(\tilde{\chi}^{0}_{i} \to \tilde{\ell}_{R} \ell\), \(\tilde{\ell}_{R} \to \tilde{\chi}^{0}_{1} \ell\), for ?=e,μ, within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We include a full detector simulation of the International Large Detector for the International Linear Collider. The simulation was performed at a center-of-mass energy of \(\sqrt{s}=500\) GeV, including the relevant Standard Model background processes, a realistic beam energy spectrum, beam backgrounds and a beam polarization of 80% and ?60% for the electron and positron beams, respectively. In order to effectively disentangle different signal samples and reduce SM and SUSY backgrounds we apply a method of kinematic reconstruction. Assuming an integrated luminosity of 500 fb?1 collected by the experiment and the performance of the current ILD detector, we arrive at a relative measurement accuracy of 10% for the CP-sensitive asymmetry in our scenario. We demonstrate that our method of signal selection using kinematic reconstruction can be applied to a broad class of scenarios and it allows disentangling processes with similar kinematic properties.  相似文献

We propose a new pressure-parametrization model to explain the accelerated expansion of the late-time Universe by considering the baryon matter and dark contents (dark matter and dark energy) as a unified dark fluid. To realize this model more physically, we reconstruct it with the quintessence and phantom scalar fields, respectively. We use the recent cosmological data to constrain this model, distinguish it from the standard cosmological model and find that the value of the Hubble constant \(H_0=68.34^{+0.53}_{-0.92}\) supports the global measurement by the Planck satellite at the \(1\sigma \) confidence level.  相似文献

Baryon and lepton numbers being accidental global symmetries of the Standard Model (SM), it is natural to promote them to local symmetries. However, to preserve anomaly-freedom, only combinations of B–L are viable. In this spirit, we investigate possible dark matter realizations in the context of the \(U(1)_\mathrm{B{-}L}\) model: (i) Dirac fermion with unbroken B–L; (ii) Dirac fermion with broken B–L; (iii) scalar dark matter; (iv) two-component dark matter. We compute the relic abundance, direct and indirect detection observables and confront them with recent results from Planck, LUX-2016, and Fermi-LAT and prospects from XENON1T. In addition to the well-known LEP bound \(M_{Z^{\prime }}/g_\mathrm{BL} \gtrsim 7\) TeV, we include often ignored LHC bounds using 13 TeV dilepton (dimuon + dielectron) data at next-to-leading order plus next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. We show that, for gauge couplings smaller than 0.4, the LHC gives rise to the strongest collider limit. In particular, we find \(M_{Z^{\prime }}/g_\mathrm{BL} > 8.7\) TeV for \(g_\mathrm{BL}=0.3\). We conclude that the NLO+NLL corrections improve the dilepton bounds on the \(Z^{\prime }\) mass and that both dark matter candidates are only viable in the \(Z^{\prime }\) resonance region, with the parameter space for scalar dark matter being fully probed by XENON1T. Lastly, we show that one can successfully have a minimal two-component dark matter model.  相似文献

Considering the mass, parity and \(D^0 p\) decay mode, we tentatively assign the \(\Lambda _c(2940)\) as the \(P-\)wave states with one radial excitation. Then, via studying the strong decay behavior of the \(\Lambda _c(2940)\) within the \(^3P_0\) model, we obtain that the total decay widths of the \(\Lambda _{c1}(\frac{1}{2}^-,2P)\) and \(\Lambda _{c1}(\frac{3}{2}^-,2P)\) states are 16.27 and 25.39 MeV, respectively. Compared with the experimental total width \(27.7^{+8.2}_{-6.0}\pm 0.9^{+5.2}_{-10.4}~\mathrm {MeV}\) measured by LHCb Collaboration, both assignments are allowed, and the \(J^P=\frac{3}{2}^-\) assignment is more favorable. Other \(\lambda \)-mode \(\Sigma _c(2P)\) states are also investigated, which are most likely to be narrow states and have good potential to be observed in future experiments.  相似文献
