We investigate the polaron and molecular states of a fermionic atom with one-dimensional spin–orbit coupling(SOC)coupled to a three-dimensional spinless Fermi sea. Because of the interplay among the SOC, Raman coupling and spinselected interatomic interactions, the polaron state induced by the spin–orbit coupled impurity exhibits quite unique features. We find that the energy dispersion of the polaron generally has a double-minimum structure, which results in a finite center-of-mass(c.m.) momentum in the ground state, different from the zero-momentum polarons where SOC are introduced into the majority atoms. By further tuning the parameters such as the atomic interaction strength, a discontinuous transition between the polarons with different c.m. momenta may occur, signaled by the singular behavior of the quasiparticle residue and effective mass of the polaron. Meanwhile, the molecular state as well as the polaron-to-molecule transition is also strongly affected by the Raman coupling and the effective Zeeman field, which are introduced by the lasers generating SOC on the impurity atom. We also discuss the effects of a more general spin-dependent interaction and mass ratio. These results would be beneficial for the study of impurity physics brought by SOC.  相似文献

We investigate the long distance asymptotics of various correlation functions for the one-dimensional spin-1/2 Fermi gas with attractive interactions using the dressed charge formalism. In the spin polarized phase, these correlation functions exhibit spatial oscillations with a power-law decay whereby their critical exponents are found through conformal field theory. We show that spatial oscillations of the leading terms in the pair correlation function and the spin correlation function solely depend on ΔkF and 2ΔkF, respectively. Here ΔkF=π(nn) denotes the mismatch between the Fermi surfaces of spin-up and spin-down fermions. Such spatial modulations are characteristics of a Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) state. Our key observation is that backscattering among the Fermi points of bound pairs and unpaired fermions results in a one-dimensional analog of the FFLO state and displays a microscopic origin of the FFLO nature. Furthermore, we show that the pair correlation function in momentum space has a peak at the point of mismatch between both Fermi surfaces kkF, which has recently been observed in numerous numerical studies.  相似文献

Using an exact Bethe ansatz solution, we rigorously study excitation spectra of the spin-1/2 Fermi gas (called Yang–Gaudin model) with an attractive interaction. Elementary excitations of this model involve particle-hole excitation, hole excitation and adding particles in the Fermi seas of pairs and unpaired fermions. The gapped magnon excitations in the spin sector show a ferromagnetic coupling to the Fermi sea of the single fermions. By numerically and analytically solving the Bethe ansatz equations and the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations of this model, we obtain excitation energies for various polarizations in the phase of the Fulde–Ferrell–Larkin–Ovchinnikov-like state. For a small momentum (long-wavelength limit) and in the strong interaction regime, we analytically obtained their linear dispersions with curvature corrections, effective masses as well as velocities in particle-hole excitations of pairs and unpaired fermions. Such a type of particle-hole excitations display a novel separation of collective motions of bosonic modes within paired and unpaired fermions. Finally, we also discuss magnon excitations in the spin sector and the application of Bragg spectroscopy for testing such separated charge excitation modes of pairs and single fermions.  相似文献

We consider the equilibrium dynamics of a system consisting of a spin interacting with an ideal Fermi gas on the lattice , 3. We present two examples: when this system is unitarily equivalent to an ideal Fermi gas or to a spin in an ideal Fermi gas without interaction between them.  相似文献

Based on the mean-field theory, we investigate the thermodynamic properties of the two-dimensional (2D) charged spin-1/2 Fermi gas. Landé factor g is introduced to measure the strength of the paramagnetic effect. There is a competition between diamagnetism and paramagnetism in the system. The larger the Landé factor, the smaller the entropy and specific heat. Diamagnetism tends to increase the entropy, while paramagnetism leads to the decrease of the entropy. We find that there exists a critical value of Landé factor for the transition point due to the competition. The entropy of the system increases with the magnetic field when g < 0.58. With the growth of paramagnetism, when g > 0.58, the entropy first decreases with the magnetic field, then reaches a minimum value, and finally increases again. Both the entropy and specific heat increase with the temperature, and no phase transition occurs. The specific heat tends to a constant value at the hightemperature limit, and it approaches to zero at very low temperatures, which have been proved by the analytical calculation.  相似文献

The effect of the interaction between spin-3/2 and spin-1/2 nuclei on solid-state magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR) spectra of the latter is studied in cases where deviations from first-order theory are expected. A comparison is made between the exact and first-order perturbation approaches. Both dipolar and indirect (iso- and anisotropic) coupling interactions are considered. Implications regarding 13C,35,37Cl, 31P,63,65Cu and 119Sn,35,37Cl cases are discussed. It is shown that in the latter two cases the sign of the indirect coupling constant J can be derived.  相似文献

The phase diagrams in the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 Ising system with two alternative layers on a honeycomb lattice are investigated and discussed by the use of the effective-field theory with correlations. The interaction of the nearest-neighbour spins of each layer is taken to be positive (ferromagnetic interaction) and the interaction of the adjacent spins of the nearest-neighbour layers is considered to be either positive or negative (ferromagnetic or anti-ferromagnetic interaction). The temperature dependence of the layer magnetizations of the system is examined to characterize the nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the phase transitions and obtain the phase transition temperatures. The system exhibits both second-and first-order phase transitions besides triple point (T P ), critical end point (E), multicritical point (A), isolated critical point (C) and reentrant behaviour depending on the interaction parameters. We have also studied the temperature dependence of the total magnetization to find the compensation points, as well as to determine the type of behaviour, and N-type behaviour in N′eel classification nomenclature existing in the system. The phase diagrams are constructed in eight different planes and it is found that the system also presents the compensation phenomena depending on the sign of the bilinear exchange interactions.  相似文献

An effective-field theory with correlations has been used to study critical behaviors of a mixed spin-1 and spin-2 Ising system on a honeycomb and square lattices in the absence and presence of a longitudinal magnetic field. The ground-state phase diagram of the model is obtained in the longitudinal magnetic field (h) and a single-ion potential or crystal-field interaction (Δ) plane. The thermal behavior of the sublattice magnetizations of the system are investigated to characterize the nature of (continuous and discontinuous) of the phase transitions and obtain the phase transition temperature. The phase diagrams are presented in the (Δ/|J|, kBT/|J|) plane. The susceptibility, internal energy and specific heat of the system are numerically examined and some interesting phenomena in these quantities are found due to the absence and presence of the applied longitudinal magnetic field. Moreover, the system undergoes second- and first-order phase transition; hence, the system gives a tricritical point. The system also exhibits reentrant behavior.  相似文献

Requiring covariance of Maxwell's equations without a priori imposing charge invariance allows for both spin-1 and spin-1/2 transformations of the complete Maxwell field and current. The spin-1/2 case yields new transformation rules, with new invariants, for all traditional Maxwell field and source quantities. The accompanying spin-1/2 representations of the Lorentz group employ the Minkowski metric, and consequently the primary spin-1/2 Maxwell invariants are also spin-1 invariants; for example, 2A 2, E 2B 2+2i EB–(0 +A)2. The associated Maxwell Lagrangian density is also the same for both spin-1 and spin-1/2 fields. However, in the spin-1/2 case, standard field and source quantities are complex and both charge and gauge invariance are lost. Requiring the potentials to satisfy the Klein–Gordon equation equates the Maxwell and field-potential equations with two Dirac equations of the Klein–Gordon mass, and thus one complex Klein–Gordon Maxwell field describes either two real vector fields or two Dirac fields, all of the same mass.  相似文献

The spin-1/2 anisotropic Heisenberg model is studied by generalizing the Migdal-Kadanoff renormalization transformations to quantum spin systems. An approximate one-dimensional decimation is employed besides the potential-moving approximation in this generalization. It is shown that these approximations are valid at high temperatures. The results obtained from these approximations suggest that the two-dimensional spin-1/2X-Y model shows the critical behavior similar to that expected for the classicalX-Y and planar models.  相似文献

We extend the recent paper [W. Jiang, V-C. Lo, B-D. Bai, J. Yang, Physica A 389 (2010) 2227-2233] to present a study, within a mean-field approach, the dynamic magnetic properties of the mixed spin-2 and spin-5/2 Ising ferrimagnetic system, which corresponds the molecular-based magnetic materials AFeIIFeIII(C2O4)3 [ A=N(n-CnH2n+1)4, n=3-5], by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. This mixed Ising ferrimagnetic system is used on a layered honeycomb lattice in which FeII (S=5/2) and FeIII (σ=2) occupy sites. First, we investigate the time variations of average order parameters to find the phases in the system and then the thermal behavior of the dynamic order parameters to obtain the dynamic phase transition (DPT) points as well as to characterize the nature (first-or second-order) phase transitions. We also present the dynamic phase diagrams and study the dynamic magnetic hysteresis loop behaviors of the kinetic mixed spin-2 and spin-5/2 Ising ferrimagnetic system. The results are compared with some experimental and theoretical works and a good overall agreement is found.  相似文献

We study the dynamic phase transitions and present the dynamic phase diagrams of the spin-1/2 Ising system under the presence of a time-varying (sinusoidal) external magnetic field within the path probability method (PPM) of Kikuchi and we observe that the PPM gives exactly the same result as with the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics based on the mean-field theory (DMFT). We also investigate the influence of the rate constant on the dynamic phase diagrams in detail and five new and interesting dynamic phase diagrams are found. We notice that the derivation of the dynamic equations by using the PPM is more clear and easier than within the DMFT and the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics based on the effective-field theory (DEFT). The advantages and disadvantages of the PPM over the DMFT and DEFT are also discussed.  相似文献

The spin-1/2 kagome antiferromagnets are key prototype materials for studying frustrated magnetism. Three isostructural kagome antiferromagnets LnCu_3(OH)_6Cl_3(Ln = Gd, Tb, Dy) have been successfully synthesized by the hydrothermal method. LnCu_3(OH)_6Cl_3 adopts space group P■m1 and features the layered Cu-kagome lattice with lanthanide Ln~(3+) cations sitting at the center of the hexagons. Although heavy lanthanides(Ln = Gd, Tb, Dy) in LnCu_3(OH)_6Cl_3 provide a large effective magnetic moment and ferromagnetic-like spin correlations compared to light-lanthanides(Nd, Sm, Eu)analogues, Cu-kagome holds an antiferromagnetically ordered state at around 17K like YCu_3(OH)_6Cl_3.  相似文献

The critical and compensation temperatures of the bilayer Bethe lattices with one of the layers having only spin-1/2 atoms and the other having only spin-1 atoms placed symmetrically are studied by using exact recursion relations in a pairwise approach. The Hamiltonian of the model consist of the bilinear intralayer coupling constants of the two layers J 1 and J 2 for the interactions of the atoms in layers with spin-1/2 and spin-1, respectively, and the bilinear interlayer coupling constant J 3 between the adjacent atoms with spin-1/2 and spin-1 of the layers. After obtaining the ground state phase diagram with J 1 > 0, the variations of the order-parameters and the free energy are investigated to obtain the phase diagram of the model by considering only the ferromagnetic ordering of the layers, i.e. J 1 > 0 and J 2 > 0, and ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic ordering of the adjacent spins of the layers, J 3 > 0 or J 3 < 0, respectively. It was found that the system presents both second- and first-order phase transitions and, tricritical points. The compensation temperatures was also observed for the appropriate values of the system parameters. PACS: 05.50.+q 05.70.Fh 64.60.Cn 75.10.Hk  相似文献

The zero- and low-temperature behaviors of spin-1/2 two-leg ladder with staggered dimerization are investigated by the Green’s function theory. At zero temperature, the ground state phase diagram is explored, wherein the leg-dimer and rung-singlet phases are revealed, which reflect two different intrinsic gapped behaviors. The former is attributed to the bond alternation along the legs, while the latter is due to the strong rung coupling. It is found that the quantum phase transition from one to another is of the first order, which can be clearly signaled by the rung entanglement entropy. At finite temperatures, the temperature dependence of thermodynamic quantities such as the magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, thermal Drude weight and rung entanglement entropy are calculated to characterize the corresponding quantum phases. It is shown that the magnetic behaviors clearly manifest a typical antiferromagnetism at low temperature, which is in accordance with the experimental results. It is also found that the intrinsic gapped low-lying excitations are responsible for the observed thermodynamic behaviors.  相似文献

We study the properties of superfluid in a two-dimensional(2 D) polarized Fermi gas with spin–orbit coupling and adiabatic rotation which are trapped in a harmonic potential. Due to the competition between polarization, spin–orbit coupling, and adiabatic rotation, the Fermi gas exhibits many intriguing phenomena. By using the Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer(BCS) mean-field method with local density approximation, we investigate the dependence of order parameter solution on the spin–orbit coupling strength and the rotation velocity. The energy spectra with different rotation velocities are studied in detail. Besides, the conditions for the zero-energy Majorana fermions in topological superfluid phase to be observed are obtained. By investigating distributions of number density, we find that the rotation has opposite effect on the distribution of number density with different spins, which leads to the enhancement of the polarization of Fermi gas. Here,we focus on the region of BCS pairing and ignore the Fulde–Ferrell–Larkin–Ovchinnikov state.  相似文献
