Measurements of the fluorescence intensity IF, excited by two-photon pumping, have been carried out in different dye solutions by utilizing a low power cw laser (IL ≈ 12 mW) and a particular experimental technique. A considerable departure from the quadratic law IFI2L with the varying of 2 - ΔEi quantity has been detected. This behaviour has bee n accounted for by considering the dependence of the non-linear and linear cross sections relative to the S0 → S1 and S0 → S2 transitions on the laser frequency.  相似文献

Experimental investigations on ablatively accelerated thin plastic foil targets irradiated by a 6J, 5 nsec Nd: glass laser pulse, were conducted using shadowgraphy technique. A 2 nsec, 0.53 μm probe pulse, derived from the main laser was used for recording the foil motion. It was observed that 6 μm plastic foils could be accelerated to a velocity of about 3 × 106 cm/sec for an incident laser intensity of 5 × 1013 W/cm2 and the corresponding ablation pressure was 0.4 Mbar. Ablation pressure (P) scaling against absorbed laser intensity (I a ) was slower (PI a 0.4 ) for a smaller laser focal spot (30 μm) as compared to the scaling (PI a 0.7 ) for a larger focal spot (500 μm). This result has been explained considering the loss due to lateral energy transport from the laser plasma interaction region.  相似文献

The24Mg(α, p γ) reaction has been studied atα-particle energies of 13, 15, and 15.2 MeV. Using method II of Litherland and Ferguson spin assignments or restrictions thereof could be made to the27Al levels atE x =5500 keV (I=11/2, 7/2), 6950 keV (I=11/2, 7/2), 7226 keV (I=9/2), 7286 keV (I=9/2–13/2), 7399 keV (I=11/2, 7/2) and 7443 keV (I=13/2, 9/2). Using the Doppler-shift attenuation method a lifetimeτ=20–50 fs was obtained for theE x =7399 keV level and a limitτ<20 fs for the levels atE x =7443, 7286, 7226, 6950, 6718, and 6287 keV, respectively. Further spin assignments in27Al were obtained by a study of the26Mg(p, γ) reaction at the Ep=2174 keV resonance. Fromγ-ray angular distributions the resonance spin was determined as I=9/2 (previous assignmentI=7/2) and the spin of theE x =5959 keV level was determined asI=7/2. Tentative spin assignments were made to the levels atE x =6537 keV (I=7/2) and 6718 keV (I=9/2). From the combined evidence of the24Mg(α, p) and26Mg(p, γ) reactions the spin of the 6287 keV level was found to beI=7/2. The results are compared with shell model calculations and the Nilsson model.  相似文献

Glasses with composition 70TeO2–20ZnO–10Na2O–0.5Er2O3–(x)Au are synthesized by melt-quenching technique. Their spectroscopic and optical characterizations are made. The presence of gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) with average size ~9 nm is confirmed from TEM micrograph. The value of Edir is found to lie between 3.082 and 3.073 eV, while Eindir lies within 2.765 to 2.724 eV. The observed visible up-conversion (UC) emission under 779 nm excitation wavelength exhibits two bands centered at 546 nm (green) and 637 nm (red) in all samples. The glass with 0.4 mol% Au NPs shows dominant enhancement in the UC emission intensity of the order of 3.5 times for the green band (4S3/2 → 4I15/2) and a weaker enhancement for the red (4F9/2 → 4I15/2) band. The optical properties of the system are affirmed to depend strongly on the Au concentration in the dielectric medium. The absorption spectra consist of six bands attributed to absorption from ground state (4I15/2) to 4I13/2, 4I11/2, 4I9/2, 4F9/2, 2H11/2, and 4F7/2 excited states. The structural reveals that the types of bonding and difference in electro-negativity can be manipulated by the presence of metallic NPs in glass matrix. Judd–Ofelt analysis asserts the increase in Ω2 and Ω6 parameters with the addition of Au NPs and the enhancement of green and red emissions. The enhancement is mainly attributed to large plasmonic effect of Au NPs. The proposed glasses can be nominated as potential materials for solid state laser developments.  相似文献

The electrical and interface state properties of Au/perylene-monoimide (PMI)/n-Si Schottky barrier diode have been investigated by current–voltage (IV) and capacitance–voltage (CV) measurements at room temperature. A good rectifying behavior was seen from the IV characteristics. The series resistance (Rs) values were determined from IV and CV characteristics and were found to be 160 Ω and 53 Ω, respectively. The barrier height (Φb) of Au/PMI/n-Si Schottky diode was found to be 0.694 eV (IV) and 0.826 eV (CV). The ideality factor (n) was obtained to be 4.27 from the forward bias IV characteristics. The energy distribution of interface state density (Nss) of the PMI-based structure was determined, and the energy values of Nss were found in the range from Ec ? 0.508 eV to Ec ? 0.569 eV with the exponential growth from midgap toward the bottom of the conduction band. The values of the Nss without Rs are 2.11 × 1012 eV?1 cm?2 at Ec ? 0.508 eV and 2.00 × 1012 eV?1 cm?2 at Ec ? 0.569 eV. Based on the above results, it is clear that modification of the interfacial potential barrier for metal/n-Si structures has been achieved using a thin interlayer of the perylene-monomide.  相似文献

The decay scheme of62Zn has been investigated by studying the yield functions, angular distributions and coincidence relation-ships of theγ-rays emitted in the63Cu(p, 2nγ) and60Ni(α, 2) reactions. Microspectral analysis of dentine plasma produced by femtosecond laser radiation with intensities of I ~ 1013?1015 W/cm2 in ambient atmosphere has been measured. The production spectra of cosmic pions and their primaries have been derived from the experimental muon spectrum by using the theories of Barrettet al. and Feynman. The calculated pion production spectrum takes the formI(E π)d E π = 0.206E π ? 2.65 d E πper cm2 sec str GeV in the energy range 3<E π<1500 GeV and the nucleon spectrum follows the relationN(E p)d E p = 2.7 × 104 (E p/GeV)2.65 d E pper m2 sec str GeV in the range 5 <E p <3000 Gev.  相似文献

Bands of negative-parity levels have been observed in in-beam studies of153Tb and155Ho. The data are qualitatively accounted for in the rotation-alignment model as decoupled bands based on the h11/2 proton orbital. 73Se has been investigated by the reaction70Ge(α, nγ). Gamma excitation functions (E α=10–16 MeV), gamma angular distributions (E α=18 MeV) and gamma-gamma coincidences (E α=15 MeV)) have been taken. Detailed level-by-level calculations of cross sections and rate coefficients for electron impact direct ionization and excitation-autoionization of AsI-like ions in the 3d 104s 24p 3 (4S3/2) ground state have been performed. The cross sections are presented in the energy range near the threshold for the five ions Mo9+, Xe21+, Pr26+, Dy33+ and W41+. The rate coefficients are given for all the ions from Sr5+ to U59+ in the AsI sequence at the seven electron temperatures (k T e = 0.1E I ,0.3E I ,0.5E I ,0.7E I ,E I ,2E I and 10E I , where E I is the first ionization energy). The calculations include the contribution of direct ionization (DI) calculated using the Lotz formula approximation and the contributions of excitation-autoionization (EA) computed in the framework of the Distorted Wave (DW) approximation for the 4s ? nl, 3d ? nl and 3p ? nl resonant inner-shell excitations. The ionization enhancement due to the EA channels is presented as a function of Z along the AsI isoelectronic sequence. The present results show the great importance of the EA processes; an ionization enhancement factor of up to 6.5 is predicted for instance for Dy33+ (Z = 66) at electron temperature of coronal equilibrium maximum abundance.  相似文献

The correlation between the triton binding energyE t and then-d scattering length2 a and the zero energy singlet and triplet wound integral Ios and Iot is investigated, with phaseequivalent separableNN interactions obeying all the important off-shell constraints. It is found that the correlation betweenE t and2 a is stronger than betweenE t (2 a) andI os ,I ot separately. A strong correlation is also found between the percentageD-state in the deuteronP d andI ot . Fixing all the other off-shell parameters but allowing variations ofI os andI ot leads to surprisingly accurate linear relations betweenE t(2 a) andI os ,I ot (P d). These relations depend strongly on the other off-shell parameters.  相似文献

The isomer213mRa was produced by the reaction209Bi(10B, 6n), as well as by bombardments of12C on Pb isotopes,14N on Bi, and16O on natural Hg, with projectile energies in the range 60–100 MeV. The isomer decays with a halflife of 2.1 ms both via gamma internal transitions and via alpha branching to levels in209Rn. A level scheme is proposed in which the isomeric state is assigned as either 17/2? or 13/2+ with shell-model configurations either of theh 9/2 protons coupled to ap 1/2 neutron hole, or of an uncoupledi 13/2 neutron hole. On the basis of alpha decay rate predictions from the new Fliessbach theory, the 17/2? isomeric assignment is to be preferred. Phys. Dissociative multiple photoionization of the bromine, the iodine monobromide, and the iodine molecules in the Br(3d,3p,3s) and I(4d,4p,4s,3d,3p) inner-shell regions has been studied by using time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometry coupled to synchrotron radiation in the ranges of 90∼978 eV for Br2, 60∼133 eV for IBr, and 86∼998 eV for I2. Total photoion and photoion–photoion coincidence (PIPICO) yields have been recorded as functions of the photon energy. Here, giant shape resonances have been observed beyond the thresholds of the inner-shells owing to the Br(3d10)→Br(3d9ϵf), I(4d10)→I(4d9ϵf), and I(3d10)→I(3d9ϵf) transitions. The dissociation processes of the multiply charged parent ions have also been evaluated from variations of photoelectron–photoion coincidence (PEPICO) and PIPICO spectra with the photon energy. From each Br(3p3/2) (189.9 eV) and I(4p3/2) threshold (129.9 eV), quintuple ionization of the molecules begins to play important roles in the photoionization, subsequently yielding ion pairs of X3+–X2+ (X=Br, I). From the I(3d5/2) threshold (627.3 eV), loss of six electrons from iodine molecule additionally begins to play a minor role in the multiple photoionization, giving rise to the formation of ion pairs of either I3+–I3+ or I4+–I2+. A direct comparison of the strengths and the ranges of the I(4d) and Br(3d) giant resonances was successfully made from dissociative photoionization of IBr. Over the entire energy range examined, 60<E<133 eV, biased charge spread relevant to the specific core-hole states of IBr is observed, presumably reflecting the fact that charge localizes mostly in the excited atoms, which can be accounted for mainly by a two step decay via a fast dissociation followed by autoionization upon the VUV absorption.  相似文献

We reanalyze archival EAS-MSU data in order to search for events with an anomalously low content of muons with energies E μ > 10 GeV in extensive air showers with the number of particles N e ? 2 × 107. We confirm the first evidence for a nonzero flux of primary cosmic gamma rays at energies E ~ 1017 eV. The estimated fraction of primary gamma rays in the flux of cosmic particles with energies E ? 5.4 × 1016 eV is εγ = (0.43 ?0.11 +0.12 )%, which corresponds to the intensity I γ = (1.2 ?0.3 +0.4 ) × 10?16 cm?2 s?1 sr?1. The study of arrival directions does not favor any particular mechanism of the origin of the photon-like events.  相似文献

Se85Te10Bi5 films of different thicknesses ranging from 126 to 512 nm have been prepared. Energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy technique showed that films are nearly stoichiometric. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements have showed that the Se85Te10Bi5 films were amorphous. Electrical conduction activation energy (ΔEσ) for the obtained films is found to be 0.662 eV independent of thickness in the investigated range. Investigation of the current voltage (I-V) characteristics in amorphous Se85Te10Bi5 films reveals that it is typical for a memory switch. The switching voltage Vth increases with the increase of the thickness and decreases exponentially with temperature in the range from 298 to 383 K. The switching voltage activation energy (ε) calculated from the temperature dependence of Vth is found to be 0.325 eV. The switching phenomenon in amorphous Se85Te10Bi5 films is explained according to an electrothermal model for the switching process. The optical constants, the refractive index (n) and the absorption index (k) have been determined from transmittance (T) and reflectance (R) of Se85Te10Bi5 films. Allowed non-direct transitions with an optical energy gap (Egopt) of 1.33 eV have been obtained. ΔEσ is almost half the obtained value of Egopt, which suggested band to band conduction as indicated by Davis and Mott.  相似文献

Er3+ doped boro-tellurite glasses have been prepared by the conventional melt quenching technique with the chemical composition (39?x) B2O3+30TeO2+15MgO+15K2O+xEr2O3 (where x=0.01, 0.1, 1, 2 and 3 wt%). The structural analysis of the glasses were made through XRD, FTIR spectral measurements and the optical absorption, luminescence measurements were made to analyze the optical behavior of the prepared glasses. The bonding parameters were determined from the optical absorption spectra and were found to be ionic in nature. The experimental oscillator strengths were determined from the absorption spectra have been used to determine the Judd–Ofelt parameters. The Judd?Ofelt parameters were used to explore the important radiative parameters such as transition probability (A), stimulated emission cross-section (σPE) and branching ratios (βR) of the emission transitions 2H9/24I15/2 and 2H11/2 and 4S3/24I15/2 of the trivalent erbium ions. The optical band gap energy (Eopt) values corresponding to the direct and indirect allowed transitions and the Urbach energy values of the prepared Er3+ doped boro-tellurite glasses have been calculated and discussed with similar studies. The spectroscopic behavior of the Er3+ boro-tellurite glasses have been studied by varying the trivalent erbium ion content and the results were discussed and compared with similar studies.  相似文献

The values of the Slater-Condon (F2, F4, F6), Racah (E1, E2, E3) and Lande ξ4f coefficients the nephelauxetic ratio (β), the bonding parameter (σ), and the Judd-Ofelt intensity (Tλ) parameters have been calculated from the reported absorption spectra of Pr3+, Nd3+, and Er3+ ions in an aprotic solvent SeOCl2 acidified with antimony pentachloride. The nature of the bonding is suggested to be covalent for praseodymium, neodymium and erbium ions in the laser liquid in view of the magnitude of the respective bonding parameters.  相似文献

The level scheme of154Eu has been investigated by means of thermal neutron captureγ-rays and conversion electrons. The high energyγ-ray spectrum from thermal neutron capture in enriched153Eu has been studied in the energy range of 5700 to 6500 keV. Low energyγ radiation has been observed with Ge(Li) and Si(Li) detectors from 5 to 300 keV and conversion electrons have been measured from 15 to 300 keV. Low energy (n, γγ) coincidences and half lives of transitions have been measured. The data, combined with three very recent studies of the 8? isomer decay in154Eu has led to the construction of a level scheme with 12 excited levels.
