This paper describes a detailed study of correlation covariance measurements in the initial region of coaxial jets. Some evidence and justification for the preferred mode criterion which governs the growth or decay of the vortices, generated upstream, in the intermediate zone of coaxial jets was found by the covariance measurements and the iso-contour mappings obtained.  相似文献

针对发展高效低污染旋流燃烧技术的需要,对旋流燃烧室内两股同轴旋转射流相互作用的湍流旋流流动进行了数值模拟.计算中采用了一种新的代数Reynolds应力模型和QUICK离散格式.在两股射流同向旋转和反向旋转两种条件下,将模拟得到的燃烧室内湍流旋流流动的时均气体轴向速度场、切向速度场和静压场与实验数据进行了比较.  相似文献

The generation of noise in subsonic high Reynolds number single and coaxial turbulent jets is analyzed by a hybrid method. The computational approach is based on large-eddy simulations (LES) and solutions of the acoustic perturbation equations (APE). The method is used to investigate the acoustic fields of one isothermal single stream jet at a Mach number 0.9 and a Reynolds number 400,000 based on the nozzle diameter and two coaxial jets whose Mach number and Reynolds number based on the secondary jet match the values of the single jet. One coaxial jet configuration possesses a cold primary flow, whereas the other configuration has a hot primary jet. Thus, the configurations allow in a first step the analysis of the relationship of the flow and acoustic fields of a single and a cold coaxial jet and in a second step the investigation of the differences of the fluid mechanics and aeroacoustics of cold and hot coaxial jets. For the isothermal single jet the present hybrid acoustic computation shows convincing agreement with the direct acoustic simulation based on large-eddy simulations. The analysis of the acoustic field of the coaxial jets focuses on two noise sources, the Lamb vector fluctuations and the entropy sources of the APE equations. The power spectral density (PSD) distributions evidence the Lamb vector fluctuations to represent the major acoustic sources of the isothermal jet. Especially the typical downstream and sideline acoustic generations occur on a cone-like surface being wrapped around the end of the potential core. Furthermore, when the coaxial jet possesses a hot primary jet, the acoustic core being characterized by the entropy source terms increases the low frequency acoustics by up to 5 dB, i.e., the sideline acoustics is enhanced by the pronounced temperature gradient.  相似文献

壳核结构的微胶囊在医学药学材料食品农业等领域具有广泛的应用前景, 其制备方法一直是相关领域关注的焦点.同轴流动聚焦(co-flow focusing)是一种新型制备技术, 利用复合射流的破碎制备微胶囊具有包裹率高过程量化可控参数域广产率高等诸多优势.在实验中, 复合射流的破碎受到多个过程参数的影响, 并涉及了多层界面的耦合效应.利用简化的物理模型, 在时间和时空域中分析了三相水-油-水复合射流不稳定性的发展和演化.在黏性流体线性稳定性理论中, 同轴射流和驱动液体的基本速度型分别基于管流和误差函数构造, 并通过数值方法求解满足相应边界条件下的线化小扰动控制方程.结果表明:增加内外层界面的界面张力均有利于射流的破碎; 流体的黏性对同轴射流的稳定性均有着促进作用; 越大的黏性越小的内界面张力对应着越大的射流破碎波长; 内外界面的耦合作用以及复合液滴的包裹情况均与内外射流的半径比息息相关; 绝对-对流不稳定性转换的临界Weber数随Reynolds数内层界面张力的增大而增大, 随内层和驱动流体的黏性增大而减小.这些结果将有助于提高液体驱动下同轴流动聚焦技术的过程控制, 为实际应用提供理论指导.   相似文献

A review of recent published data on low velocity jet noise is given together with previously unpublished results taken from the Rolls-Royce Noise Research Programme on model rigs and full-scale engines. Noise correlations are given which show that at low jet velocities, the low frequency exhaust noise which is commonly referred to as jet noise, emitted from the fan stream of a turbofan engine is considerably lower in level than that from the (hot) centre stream. From this result, a new prediction procedure for coaxial jet noise of turbofan engines is then developed. Comparisons are given which show that this method gives good correlation with measured results from a number of full-scale turbofan engines. The importance of accurate estimation of the “ground reflection effect” is clearly demonstrated. A critical review of published jet noise data from model coaxial jets is given and the need for further extensive testing emphasized.  相似文献

The noise of a single-stream circular jet and that of a coaxial jet with coplanar nozzles of 2·5 area ratio have been measured under simulated flight conditions in the RAE 24 ft wind-tunnel. The majority of tests were conducted with the single-stream jet and primary section of the coaxial jet at a nominal temperature of 880 K. The data have been used to quantify the effect of jet temperature and were combined with measurements from an earlier test series to establish a prediction method for the effect of flight on the noise of single-stream subsonic jets. This method is based on jet noise theory modified by experimentally derived constants. For coaxial jets it is concluded that the noise reductions, which are independent of the secondary stream velocity, are predicted to an acceptable degree by the method suggested for unheated single-stream jets. The prediction methods are suitable for both OASPL's and spectra.  相似文献

Atmospheric lower-power pulsed microwave argon cold plasma jets are obtained by using coaxial transmission line resonators in ambient air.The plasma jet plumes are generated at the end of a metal wire placed in the middle of the dielectric tubes.The electromagnetic model analyses and simulation results suggest that the discharges are excited resonantly by the enhanced electric field of surface plasmon polaritons.Moreover,for conquering the defect of atmospheric argon filamentation discharges excited by 2.45-GHz of continued microwave,the distinctive patterns of the plasma jet plumes can be maintained by applying different gas flow rates of argon gas,frequencies of pulsed modulator,duty cycles of pulsed microwave,peak values of input microwave power,and even by using different materials of dielectric tubes.In addition,the emission spectrum,the plume temperature,and other plasma parameters are measured,which shows that the proposed pulsed microwave plasma jets can be adjusted for plasma biomedical applications.  相似文献

A coupled hydrodynamic-acoustic model describing acoustic propagation in a fluid containing multiple bubbles is proposed and applied to simulate noise generated by impacting water jets. The total pressure is decomposed into a "hydrodynamic" part and an "acoustic" part and computed using different schemes. The hydrodynamic pressure field is calculated independently using a generalized hydrodynamic model, and the pressure variations serve as sources in the wave equation for the acoustic pressure. A numerical algorithm developed to calculate wave propagation in an irregular region is used to account for the existence of the cavities. Noise generated by the impact of two cylindrical water jets is predicted. The computed near-field pressure is compared with the experimental data.  相似文献

Results of the investigation into the interaction of internal waves and flows and the elaboration of a relevant mathematical model are reported. It is found in the field experiments that internal waves develop against the background of upwelling, which results in formation of jets causing intrusion velocity fluctuations. The mechanism and mathematical model of this process are proposed. A mathematical model of the suspended matter transport by jets with a wave-modulated trajectory is developed and verified.  相似文献

Overmoded coaxial waveguides have been used in coaxial gyrotrons as a key interaction structure. To achieve the required mode selectivity, the resistivity of the center conductor is properly chosen to damp unwanted modes. Considering attenuation due to conductor loss, this study employs the perturbational method to determine the propagation constants of higher-order modes in the coaxial waveguide. The validity of the theoretical model is confirmed by comparison with results obtained using the high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS). Moreover, the method proposed herein is applied to analyze the ohmic mode selection of the coaxial waveguide.  相似文献

We report for the first time the generation of electrified coaxial jets of micrometric diameter in liquid media. Scaling laws to predict the inner and outer diameter of the coaxial jet are given. We show some experiments illustrating the formation process of the coaxial jet, and demonstrate how this process can be used to yield either o/w (oil in water) or o/w/o (oil/water/oil) emulsions of micrometric size. Some interesting analogies with other hydrodynamic focusing processes are also pointed out.  相似文献

The interaction of two parallel plane jets of different velocities is studied by flow visualization and PIV measurement to examine the influence of velocity ratio on the development ofjets in the initial region. It is found that the parallel plane jets develop toward the high velocity side and the jet width is reduced with a decrease in the jet velocity ratio. Corresponding to the variation of mean velocity field to the velocity ratio, the magnitudes of turbulence intensities, Reynolds stress and static pressure are weakened in the merging region of the jets and their peak locations of the properties are shifted to the high velocity side. These results indicate that the interaction of two parallel jets is weakened with a decrease in the velocity ratio of the jets.  相似文献

Experimental results obtained by studying soft hadron jets in pion-proton and pion-nucleus reactions at intermediate energies with the aid of traditional collective variables are presented. Analytic approximations that describe, at a qualitative level, the dependences of collective parameters on the energy and multiplicity are proposed. Estimates obtained for strong coupling constant by studying collective variables are in reasonable agreement with its world-average value and with the results extracted by using different methods. The behavior of traditional collective variables as functions of the multiplicity in various interactions makes it possible to obtain a universal estimate for the lower boundary of the region of experimental manifestations of jets in multiparticle-production processes.  相似文献

为研究不同精度的离散格式对湍流旋流流动数值模拟结果的影响,同时应用QUICK格式和混合格式对同轴射流旋流燃烧室内的湍流流动进行了数值模拟.在采用k-ε湍流模型的条件下,QUICK格式计算得到的燃烧室内气体轴向与切向速度及轴向脉动速度均方根值分布与实验数据符合较好,而混合格式给出的数值模拟结果则与实验有一定的偏差.  相似文献

In this paper a frequency shifter using coaxial fibres with the applied acoustic wave is proposed. Two frequency shifts for a given coaxial structure are found to be possible when the coaxial fibre is excited with appropriate light patterns and acoustic model power. An analytical model to evaluate attenuation on the coaxial line with the central conductor coated with a magneto-dielectric layer is proposed and validated by the experiments and numerical modeling. This model is convenient for comparing absorptive effectiveness of different materials, as well as of different thicknesses and lengths of the same material. The proposed model also lays the basis for the technique to extract permeability of thin sheet magneto-dielectric materials by wrapping them around a central conductor of the coaxial airline.  相似文献

Previous 2D simulations of reconnection using a standard model of initially antiparallel magnetic fields have detected electron jets outflowing from the x point into the ion outflow exhausts. Associated with these jets are extended "outer electron diffusion regions." New PIC simulations with an ion to electron mass ratio as large as 1836 (an H(+) plasma) now show that the jets are strongly deflected and the outer electron diffusion region is broken up by a very weak out-of-plane magnetic guide field, even though the diffusion rate itself is unchanged. Jet outflow and deflection are interpreted in terms of electron dynamics and are compared to recent measurements of jets in the presence of a small guide field in Earth's magnetosheath.  相似文献

The particle production from a diffractively excited proton is similar to that in DIS. A model is proposed in which transverse jets are obtained from gluon bremsstrahlung in a way similar to the emission in DIS. Such jets have been observed by the UA8 collaboration. Qualitative agreement is obtained between the model and the uncorrected data published by the UA8 collaboration. The model can be tested in an experiment with a larger acceptance than that of the UA8 detector.  相似文献

A model for negative glow corona discharge in a coaxial electrode configuration is presented. The main goal of this model is to describe the influence of a more efficiently electron-attaching gas on the distribution of free electron density in the drift region. The calculated distributions of electrons and other ionic components are shown. The model was applied in experiments realized in air + freon mixtures. A qualitative agreement between theoretical and experimental results was achieved.  相似文献
