Synthesis of a model system for the preparation of phloroglucinol containing natural products

A model system for the synthesis of phloroglucinol containing natural products was synthesized. Key steps include a manganic acetate-mediated cyclization and the facile conversion of an alkene into a β-bromoenone.     

Electron-impact induced fragmentation of some natural products containing bis-2,2-dimethylchromene and bis-2,2-dimethylchroman ring systems

Derivatives of eriostoic and eriostemoic acids (II and III) and their tetrahydro analogs (VI and IX) which contain the bis-2,2-dimethylchromene and the bis-2,2-dimethylchroman ring systems respectively, fragment subsequent to electron-impact in characteristic fashion. The former yield mass spectra dominated by the loss of a methyl radical from their molecular ions while the latter exhibit preferential fragmentation of the heterocyclic ring system. In particular the hydrogen transfer process accompanying elemination of C₄H₇ from the parent ion of bis-2,2-dimethylchromans was investigated by deuterium labeling studies. Fragment ions containing the bis-2,2-dimethylchroman ring undergo further fragmentation by the loss of C₄H₈ rather than C₄H₇. An unusual elimination of CH₅ (accompanied by the appropriate metastable ion) from the molecular ions of the 3,5-dinitrobenzoate esters (XIV and XV) was observed in their mass spectra.     

Synthesis of macrocyclic ligands containing the indole ring system

2,7-Diformyl-3-methyl-4,6-dimethoxyindole (6) has been synthesized and converted by metal template reactions into the macrocyclic complexes (10–12).     

Synthesis ofd-provitamins containing a side-chain isozazoline ring

This is the first report of the synthesis of 20-isoxazoline steroids containing a 5,7-diene group by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of nitrile oxides to Δ²²-steroids, leading to 20-isoxazolin-5′-ylsteroids, or of steroidal 22-nitrile oxides to low-molecular-weight dipolarophiles, giving 20-isoxazolin-3′-ylsteroids. Synthesis of heterocyclic analogs of chalcone containing the selenophene ring

Crotonaldehyde-type condensation using alkaline or acid catalyst is used to synthesize 14 chalcone analogs containing in addition to the selenophene ring, a number of other heterocyclic groups. A Michael adduct is shown to be formed by reaction of 2-acetylselenophene with 2-pyridine aldehyde.     

Synthesis of chalcone analogs containing a pyrrole ring

Crotonaldehyde-type condensation in alkaline medium of 2-acetylpyrrole or pyrrole-2-aldehyde with aromatic or heterocyclic aldehydes and methyl ketones gives a number of hitherto undescribed pyrrole analogs of chalcone, and their 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazones are prepared.     

Synthesis of heterospirans containing a γ-lactone ring

Reactions of α-ketols with diethyl malonate at the molar ratio 2:1 in the presence of K₂CO₃ were investigated. The heterospiranes obtained contained a dihydrofuran and a γ-lactone rings. The optimum conditions for the synthesis of heterospiranes were found by varying the ratio of the initial compounds: α-ketoalcohol (or 2-ethoxycarbonyl-, 2-methoxycarbonyl-, 2-cyano-3,4,4-trimethyl-2-buten-4-olides), diethyl malonate, K₂CO₃, by varying the environment, and also the temperature and the time of the reaction.     

Synthesis of new substituted thiazoles containing aminooxadiazole ring

Heat exchangers of circulating type are used extensively in the heat exchange processes. Circulation of liquid in these devices is ensured by mechanical mixing devices, and heat exchange is enhanced by the increase of the heat exchange surface. The application of the upright heat exchange elements like double pipes providing a cross-flow regime in the device is the most effective. Calculation of the apparatus with the vertical heat-exchange elements for determination of constructive and regime parameters at maximum output of the device was presented.     

Selective D ring side chain tritiation of steroidal natural products

This paper describes the tritiation of several steroid natural products at their D ring side chain, taking advantage of selective catalytic tritium reductions.

     

Synthesis of pyran and pyranone natural products

An overview of the synthesis of the fungal metabolites (+)-dermolactone, (-)- semixanthomegnin, (+)- and (-)-mellein, (-)-ochratoxin alpha, (-)-(1R,3S)-thysanone, the enantiopure ventiloquinones L, E and G, and 8-desmethyleleutherin from a common chiral intermediate, is presented. Further methodology leading potentially toward extended quinones such as (3S,3'S)-xylindein is also outlined.     

Synthesis of analogs of prostacyclin containing a thiazone ring

Thiazole analogs of prostacyclin were prepared from the cyclopentene (9), itself, obtained $\text{via}$ novel opening of 3,4-epoxycyclopentene with the lithioallylthioether (4).     

含呋喃环Schiff碱型大环化合物的合成及其与Ba^2+,Sr^2+配合行为

利用Mn^2+，Ba^2+及Sr^2+作为模板离子，合成了一类新型的含呋喃环系 Schiff碱型大环化合物，如L^1和配合物L^2Ba(ClO4)2，L^3Ba(ClO4)2和L^4Ba (ClO4)2.L^2-L^4的Ba^2+配合物经与NaSO4水溶液反应解络，得到自由配体L^2， L^3和L^4，配体L^2和L^3分别与Sr^2+作用，得到配合物L^2Sr(ClO4)2和L^3Sr (ClO4)2。上述大环配体和各种配合物均经元素分析，IR，^1H NMR，MS等证实了它 们的结构和组成。
