We characterize functions in Morrey space by p-Carleson measures. We then reveal a simple relation between Q space and Morrey space, that is Q space can be viewed as a fractional integration of the Morrey space. Therefore, many results for Morrey space can be translated onto Q space. For example, we show that Q space is a dual space by identifying its predual.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that strongly convex space and almost locally uniformly rotund space, very convex space and weakly almost locally uniformly rotund space are respectively equivalent. We prove that a Banach space is reflexive if for every equivalent norm, the set of norm attaining functionals has non-empty norm-interior in the dual space. We consider the question whether there exists a Banach space X of density continuum such that every Banach space of density at most continuum isomorphically embeds into X (called a universal Banach space of density c). It is well known that ℓ/c 0 is such a space if we assume the continuum hypothesis. Some additional set-theoretic assumption is indeed needed, as we prove in the main result of this paper that it is consistent with the usual axioms of set-theory that there is no universal Banach space of density c. Thus, the problem of the existence of a universal Banach space of density c is undecidable using the usual axioms of set-theory.  相似文献

We show that each first countable paratopological vector space X has a compatible translation invariant quasi-metric such that the open balls are convex whenever X is a pseudoconvex vector space. We introduce the notions of a right-bounded subset and of a right-precompact subset of a paratopological vector space X and prove that X is quasi-normable if and only if the origin has a convex and right-bounded neighborhood. Duality in this context is also discussed. Furthermore, it is shown that the bicompletion of any paratopological vector space (respectively, of any quasi-metric vector space) admits the structure of a paratopological vector space (respectively, of a quasi-metric vector space). We introduce a function model for the Teichmüller space of a closed hyperbolic Riemann surface.Then we introduce a new metric on the Teichmüller space by using the maximum norm on the function space.We prove that the identity map from the Teichmüller space equipped with the Teichmüller metric to the Teichmüller space equipped with this new metric is uniformly continuous. Moreover, we prove that the inverse of the identity, i.e., the identity map from the Teichmüller space equipped with this new metric to the Teichmüller space equipped with the Teichmüller metric, is continuous(but not uniformly). Therefore, the topology induced by the new metric is the same as the topology induced by the Teichmüller metric on the Teichmüller space.Finally, we give a remark about the pressure metric on the function model and the Weil-Petersson metric on the Teichmüller space.  相似文献

We study geometrical aspects of the space of smooth fibrations between two given manifolds M and B, from the point of view of Fréchet geometry. As a first result, we show that any connected component of this space is the base space of a Fréchet-smooth principal bundle with the identity component of the group of diffeomorphisms of M as total space. Second, we prove that the space of fibrations is also itself the total space of a smooth Fréchet principal bundle with structure group the group of diffeomorphisms of the base B.  相似文献

Answering an old problem in nonlinear theory, we show that c0cannot be coarsely or uniformly embedded into a reflexive Banachspace, but that any stable metric space can be coarsely anduniformly embedded into a reflexive space. We also show thatcertain quasi-reflexive spaces (such as the James space) alsocannot be coarsely embedded into a reflexive space and thatthe unit ball of these spaces cannot be uniformly embedded intoa reflexive space. We give a necessary condition for a metricspace to be coarsely or uniformly embeddable in a uniformlyconvex space.  相似文献

We study the short-time Fourier transformation, modulation spaces, Gabor representations and time-frequency localization operators, for functions and tempered distributions that have as range space a Banach or a Hilbert space. In the Banach space case the theory of modulation spaces contains some modifications of the scalar-valued theory, depending on the Banach space. In the Hilbert space case the modulation spaces have properties similar to the scalar-valued case and the Gabor frame theory essentially works. For localization operators in this context symbols are operator-valued. We generalize two results from the scalar-valued theory on continuity on certain modulation spaces when the symbol belongs to an Lp,q space and M, respectively. The first result is true for any Banach space as range space, and the second result is true for any Hilbert space as range space.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the Moreau (Riesz) decomposition theorem from Hilbert spaces to Banach spaces. Criteria for a closed subspace to be (strongly) orthogonally complemented in a Banach space are given. We prove that every closed subspace of a Banach space X with dim X ≥ 3 (dim X ≤ 2) is strongly orthognally complemented if and only if the Banach space X is isometric to a Hilbert space (resp. strictly convex), which is complementary to the well-known result saying that every closed subspace of a Banach space X is topologically complemented if and only if the Banach space X is isomorphic to a Hilbert space.  相似文献

Completions of fuzzy metric spaces (in the sense of George and Veeramani) are discussed. A complete fuzzy metric space Y is said to be a˜fuzzy metric completion of a˜given fuzzy metric space X if X is isometric to a˜dense subspace of Y. We present an example of a˜fuzzy metric space that does not admit any fuzzy metric completion. However, we prove that every standard fuzzy metric space has an (up to isometry) unique fuzzy metric completion. We also show that for each fuzzy metric space there is an (up to uniform isomorphism) unique complete fuzzy metric space that contains a˜dense subspace uniformly isomorphic to it.  相似文献

We study a problem of the geometric quantization for the quaternionprojective space. First we explain a Kähler structure on the punctured cotangent bundleof the quaternion projective space, whose Kähler form coincides withthe natural symplectic form on the cotangent bundle and show thatthe canonical line bundle of this complex structure is holomorphicallytrivial by explicitly constructing a nowhere vanishing holomorphicglobal section. Then we construct a Hilbert space consisting of acertain class of holomorphic functions on the punctured cotangentbundle by the method ofpairing polarization and incidentally we construct an operatorfrom this Hilbert space to the L 2 space of the quaternionprojective space. Also we construct a similar operator between thesetwo Hilbert spaces through the Hopf fiberation.We prove that these operators quantizethe geodesic flow of the quaternion projective space tothe one parameter group of the unitary Fourier integral operatorsgenerated by the square root of the Laplacian plus suitable constant.Finally we remark that the Hilbert space above has the reproducing kernel.  相似文献

A Hausdorff space each subspace of which is a paracompact p-space is an Fpp-space. A space X is a closed hereditary Baire space if each closed subspace of X is a Baire space. The basic theorem presented shows that the product of a linearly ordered space and a countable (regular) space is normal. We prove that the countable space can be replaced by any of a rather large class of countably tight spaces. Examples are given to prove that monotone normality cannot replace linearly ordered in the base theorem. However, it is shown that the product of a monotonically normal space and a monotonically normal countable space is normal.
