We will establish the following improved Krasnosel'skii theorems for the dimension of the kernel of a starshaped set: For each k and d, 0 k d, define f(d,k) = d+1 if k = 0 and f(d,k) = max{d+1,2d–2k+2} if 1 k d.Theorem 1. Let S be a compact, connected, locally starshaped set in Rd, S not convex. Then for a k with 0 k d, dim ker S k if and only if every f(d, k) lnc points of S are clearly visible from a common k-dimensional subset of S.Theorem 2. Let S be a nonempty compact set in Rd. Then for a k with 0 k d, dim ker S k if and only if every f (d, k) boundary points of S are clearly visible from a common k-dimensional subset of S. We study here ad-dimensional Brownian motion in a random potentialV(·, ) obtained as the sum of translations of a given fixed non negative shape function at the points of a Poisson cloud of constant intensityv. We are interested in the larget behavior for typical cloud configurations, of the Brownian path in timet under the influence of the natural Feynman-Kac weight associated toV(·, ). In particular, we show that the location at timet of the process tends to be concentrated near points of suitably low local eigenvalue of –1/2+V(·,), which lie almost at distancet from the origin. Near these points one can find in the cloud a big hole or clearing of size const(logt)1/d with volume like a ball of radiusR 0(d, v)(logt)1/d .  相似文献

In the literature (see [5, 6, 8]) there are two families of spaces called Kondratiev spaces: (c)± and (S c)± for 0 1. We investigate the relation between the spaces and show that they are topologically isomorphic when (d) L2 (d) (d) is the underlying Gel'fand triple for (c)±. In this case we also give the explicit relation between the S-transform and -transform on (c)-1 and (S c)-1, respectively.  相似文献

Summary In this paper the elastic bounce problem is formulated in very general hypotheses. More precisely we consider the motion of a material point constrained to move in a domain R n, bouncing against its boundary, and we suppose that is neither regular nor convex. The limiting distribution of the normalized periodogram ordinate is used to test for unit roots in the first-order autoregressive model st= s-1,t+s,t-1- s-1,t-1+st. Moreover, for the sequence n = e c/n , n = e d/n of local Pitman-type alternatives, the limiting distribution of the normalized periodogram ordinate is shown to be a linear combination of two independent chi-square random variables whose coefficients depend on c and d. This result is used to tabulate the asymptotic power of a test for various values of c and d. A comparison is made between the periodogram test and a spatial domain test.  相似文献

For every orbitG which is not polynomially convex we construct an analytic annulus or strip inG with the boundary inG. It is also proved that the group of holomorphic automorphisms ofG which commute withG acts transitively on the set of polynomially convexG-orbits. This paper presents a trust-region method for solving the constrained nonlinear equation F(x) = 0, x , where R n is a nonempty and closed convex set, F is defined on the open set containing and is continuously differentiable. The iterates generated by the method are feasible. The method is globally and quadratically convergent under local error bounded assumption on F. The results obtained are extensions of the work of Yamashita Fukushima (Ref. 1) and Fan Yuan (Ref. 2) for unconstrained nonlinear equations. Numerical results show that the new algorithm works quite well.  相似文献

It is well known that every finite subgroup of GL d (Q ) is conjugate to a subgroup of GL d (Z ). However, this does not remain true if we replace general linear groups by symplectic groups. We say that G is a group of inertia type of G is a finite group which has a normal Sylow-p-subgroup with cyclic quotient. We show that if >d+1, and G is a subgroup of Sp 2d (Q ) of inertia type, then G is conjugate in GL 2d (Q ) to a subgroup of Sp 2d (Z ). We give examples which show that the bound is sharp. We apply these results to construct, for every odd prime , isogeny classes of Abelian varieties all of whose polarizations have degree divisible by 2. We prove similar results for Euler characteristic of invertible sheaves on Abelian varieties over fields of positive characteristic.  相似文献

Individual work by Professors G. Choquet and G. T. Sallee demonstrated that if were simple then there existed a convex chord-stretched version of . This result led Professor Yang Lu to conjecture that if were convex and were a chord-stretched version of then and would be congruent, i.e. any chord-stretching map of a convex arc is an isometry. Professor Yang Lu has proved this conjecture in the case where and are C 2 curves. In this paper we prove the conjecture in general.  相似文献
