The terpenoids acetyl sitosterol, lupeol, acetyl diosgenin and stigmasterol were studied. Comparison of the thermogravimetric
curves and the activation energies of the terpenoids suggested the following sequence of thermal stability: acetyl sitosterol
< acetyl diosgenin < lupeol < stigmasterol. The DSC curves allowed determination of the melting points and the degrees of
purity. Comparison of the TG and DSC curves revealed the presence of phase transitions without mass loss that were attributed
to rearrangements in the terpenoid molecules.

Crystals collected from the Ellora valley(Aurangabad, MS, India) of the Deccan traps of India have beencharacterized as a stilbite (St) by X-ray diffraction, IRspectroscopy and chemical analyses. The thermal behaviour was studiedusing TG and DTA techniques. The sample was exchanged at refluxtemperature with NH4Cl and NH4St was prepared. This was furthertransformed to the H-form of stilbite (HSt) by heating at 573 K for 12 h.The samples so prepared were used for adsorption studies. The comparativestudy of sorption of these samples shows an increase in the sorptioncapacity of HSt. The isosteric heat was also computed for these samples. 相似文献

Influence of such processes as molding powder production, pel-lets pressing and aging under different condit/ons on particle size of TATB ( 1,3,S-trlamino-2,4,6-trinltrobenzene ) and HMX (cyclotetramethylenetetranitramine) was experimentally studied. The results showed that parflele size of these explosives was greatly changed before and airier moldinu powder produc-tion, but for different size grade of explosive this change was not the same; pressing process had also great effect on explosive particle size, but before and after ageing process explosive par-tide size did not change seriously. 相似文献

The catalyst
used in fluidized catalytic cracking (FCC) units of refineries after several
recovery cycles in regeneration units, reduces its activity and it is partially
substituted by new catalyst in the process. As it has a high silicon and aluminum
oxides content, the pozzolanic properties of a Brazilian FCC spent residual
catalyst, used in different substitution degrees to cement, were evaluated
by three thermal analysis techniques during the early stages of hydration
of a type II Portland cement. NCDTA curves show in real time that the residual
catalyst, accelerates the stages of cement hydration. TG and DSC curves of
respective pastes after 24 h of hydration evidence the pozzolanic activity
of the waste, respectively, by the lower water mass loss during the dehydroxylation
of the residual calcium hydroxide and by the lower dehydroxylation endothermal
effect. Within the analyzed period, the higher is the cement substitution
degree, the higher is the pozzolanic activity of the residual catalyst. 相似文献

The effects of variant counterions with ionic strength of 0.05, 0.10, 0.20 and 0.25 mol·kg^-1 on the stability and particle size of silica sols have been studied using the traditional methods of Ubbelohde viscosity measurement, TEM and titration respectively, finding that the stability and particle size of the silica sols are all concerned with the acidic, positively electric properties and the sizes of the counterions, as well as the attraction between the counterions and surface silicon hydroxyl groups of the silica sols. The small positively charged counterions lead to the decrease in particle sizes, making the silica sol the most stable. But the larger weakly acidic counterions can restrict the particle sizes of the silica sols and easily make the sols coagulate. It was also found that there existed a linear relationship between log r and log η, which has not ever been reported. The effect of temperature on the stability and particle sizes was also discussed. 相似文献

Carbon materials derived from zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) and composites thereof have been intensively investigated in supercapacitors. The particle size of the used ZIF-8 ranges from dozens of nanometers to several microns. However, the influence of the particle size of ZIF-8 on the capacitive performances is still not clear. A series of ZIF-8 with different particle sizes (from 25 to 296 nm) has been synthesized and carbonized for supercapacitors. Based on TEM, EDX mapping, XRD, Raman, nitrogen adsorption–desorption, XPS, and the results of electrochemical tests, the optimal particle size (≈70 nm) for superior supercapacitor performances in both acidic and alkaline electrolytes has been obtained. This important result provides a significant reference to guide future ZIF-8 related research to achieve the best electrochemical performance. 相似文献

A comprehensive model was developed for the PSD of PP produced in loop reactors. The polymeric multilayer model (PMLM) was first applied to calculate the single particle growth rate under intraparticle transfer limitations. In order to obtain the comprehensive model, the PMLM was solved together with a steady‐state particle population equation to predict the PSD in the loop reactors. The simulated PSD data obtained under steady‐state polymerization conditions agreed with the actual data collected from industrial scale plant. The comprehensive model was also used to predict the effects of some critical factors, including the intraparticle mass and heat transfer limitations, the feed catalyst particle size and the catalyst deactivation, etc., on the PSD.

Summary In this paper the optimization of the kaolin calcination is studied, aiming at using the produced metakaolin as supplementary cementitious material. Representative samples of poor Greek kaolin (Milos island) and a high purity commercial kaolin were tested. Samples were heated at different temperatures during different times. The optimization of calcination conditions was studied by DTA-TG and XRD analysis of the raw and thermal treated kaolin samples, by pozzolanic activity analysis of metakaolins and finally by strength development analysis of cement-metakaolin mixtures. This approach showed that heating at 650°C for 3 h is efficient to convert poor kaolins with low alunite content to highly reactive metakaolins. However in the case of kaolin with a high alunite content, thermal treatment at 850°C for 3 h is required in order to remove undesirable SO3. Evidence was found that poor kaolins can be efficiently used for the production of highly reactive metakaolins. 相似文献

A simplified model for particle formation in emulsion polymerization (comprising aqueous‐phase propagation to degrees of polymerization which may enter a pre‐existing particle and/or form new particles by homogeneous or micellar nucleation, coupled with the aqueous‐phase and intra‐particle kinetics of oligomeric radicals) is formulated to provide a model suitable for the simulation of systems containing large‐sized particles. The model is particularly useful to explore conditions for growth of large particles while avoiding secondary particle formation. Applied to the Interval II emulsion polymerization of styrene with persulfate initiator at 50°C, it is found that there is an effective maximum particle size that can be achieved if the formation of new particles is to be avoided. The parameter space of initiator concentration, particle number concentration and particle radius is mapped to show a “catastrophe” surface at the onset of new nucleation. Advanced visualization techniques are used to interpret the large number of simulations in the series, showing a maximum achievable particle diameter of around 5 μm. 相似文献

以纳米金溶胶(NGS)和多重壁碳纳米管(MWCNTs)的共混物(NGS/MWCNTs)作为固定漆酶的载体,研究了3种固定漆酶方法在酶固定量、比活力上的差异。 研究了不同的固定方法对固定酶热稳定性和重复使用性及纳米金溶胶颗粒粒径对酶固定量和固定酶动力学参数的影响。 实验结果表明,NGS/MWCNTs具有良好的固定漆酶能力和高固酶比活力,NGS/MWCNTs(NGS粒径37 nm)通过简单物理吸附法固定漆酶的量和固酶的比活力最高,分别可达33.80 mg/g和9.433 U/mg。 在NGS-MWCNTs上采用化学键合方法固定的漆酶在70 ℃放置2 h后仍然保持初始活力的75%,重复使用20次后仍保持初始活力的70%。 纳米金溶胶粒子越小(24 nm),底物和固定漆酶间亲和力越好(KM=0.027 mmol/L),表观速率常数越大。 相似文献

在甲醇溶剂中,利用SnCl2作为还原剂,通过控制反应条件制备了具有不同粒径Pt粒子的炭载Pt(Pt/C)催化剂.X射线衍射(XRD)和透射电子显微镜(TEM)的结果表明,Pt/C催化剂中Pt粒子具有高度的均一性和良好的分散度.电化学研究结果显示,对于甲酸的电催化氧化,Pt/C催化剂存在着明显的粒径效应.当Pt粒子粒径为3.2 nm时,Pt/C催化剂对甲酸的电催化氧化活性最佳.Pt/C催化剂对甲酸氧化的粒径效应与其表面含氧基团含量、Pt粒子的比表面积及相对结晶度相关. 相似文献

使用4种应用较为广泛的激光粒度仪(Mastersizer2000、Bettersize2000、Horiba LA950和LS13320)对粒度差异较小的下蜀土(土塘剖面)进行了测试,从而对比分析不同激光粒度仪对于下蜀土的粒度组成测试差异及其这种差异对研究结果可能产生的影响.结果表明:对粉砂颗粒组分的分析,4种激光粒度分析仪分析结果的差异最小,而对砂和粘土颗粒组分分析的差异最大.就粒度频数曲线、概率累积曲线、粒度组分、C-M图、粒度参数散点图及粒度参数剖面垂向变化等统计参数与统计方式而言,4种仪器的测试结果均有一定的差异,其中,概率累积曲线、粒度参数散点图差异较大.粒度参数的剖面变化差异也较大,影响了对剖面的阶段性划分,这在一定程度上影响了研究结果,造成使用不同仪器,可能会得出不同的结果. 相似文献

Chitosan-based (chitosan-poly(methacrylic acid)-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) [Cs-PMAA-PNIPAM] copolymer hydrogels were synthesized by free radical emulsion polymerization to study the effect of different composition of monomer on hydrogel particle size. Chitosan usually applied for medical use such as drug delivery due to its biodegradability, bio-compatibility, and non-toxicity properties. Co-polymerized chitosan with MAA and NIPAM is an improvement of chitosan gel to be more responsive to the environment of human body included different pH, temperature, ionic strength, electric field, and enzyme activities. Small size of the particles is particularly important to ensure the particles reach the target site especially as a drug delivery. A full factorial experimental design (23) was employed to identify which factors influenced most on the particle size. The design considered three factors which is amount of MAA, NIPAM and N,N’-Methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) while particle size are chosen as the responses of the variation on each composition. Particle size distribution was measured by laser diffractionin wet condition. From the design of experiment, NIPAM shows the main factor affected the particle size. However combination of the others factors also contributed on the whole size of the hydrogel. 相似文献
