We introduce an explicit definition for hidden correlations on individual entities in a compound system: when one individual entity is measured, this induces a well-defined transition of the proper state of the other individual entities. We prove that every compound quantum system described in the tensor product of a finite number of Hilbert spaces can be uniquely represented as a collection of individual entities between which there exist such hidden correlations. We investigate the significance of these hidden correlation representations within Aerts' creation-discovery approach and in particular their compatibility with the hidden measurement formalism. This leads us to the introduction of the notions of soft and hard acts of creation and to the observation that our approach can be seen as a theory of individuals when it is compared to the standard quantum theory.  相似文献

The damping of particle oscillations in a general field with periodic structure I
A liner theory is derived, discussing the dynamics of particles in the region of an equilibrium orbit in a general electromagnetic field, which forms a periodic system. The total particle damping is determined from the Hamiltonian found and from dissipative forces brought out by a classical reaction radiation. Relations for the damping of the synchrotron oscillations are derived from the study of the appropriate phase space.

Zusammenfassung In dieser Arbeit werden die Erscheinungen der normalen und anomalen, durch Infrarotstrahlung verursachten und von uns schon früher an diesen Photokatoden beobachteten Ermüdung von Silber-Cäsium-Photokathoden untersucht. Diese Erscheinungen wurden an durchsichtigen sowie undurchsichtigen, durch verschiedene Technologien zubereiteten Photokathoden festgestellt. Es wurden Messungen der Strahlungsintensitäts-, Temperatur- und Spektralverteilungsabhängigkeit der normalen und anomalen Ermüdung durchgeführt. Es werden die Ursachen der Unübereinstimmigkeit im Vergleich mit Arbeiten von De Boer und Teves besprochen. Ferner wurden die Zeitverläufe der Ermüdung bei der Abwechslung der Bestrahlungs- und Dunkelzyklen studiert.

Deviations of nuclear magnetic moments of oddA nuclei from the Schmidt lines are explained by configuration mixing. The general results obtained are applied to several nuclei and the magnitudes of the admixture coefficients necessary to explain the deviations are estimated. The results show that the deviations can be successfully explained only for those nuclei, in which possible configuration admixtures give contributions to the magnetic moment linear in the admixture coefficient.

Using Van Vleck's modification of the Heisenberg theory of ferro-magnetism for substances with arbitrary spin per atom, a generalization of the theory is given for the case of ferrimagnetics, anti-ferromagnetics and thin films with an arbitrary number of sub-lattices and with arbitrary spin per atom. The exchange part of the energy operator is formulated by means of rotated spin operators. The theory contains the quantum-mechanical generalization of non-quantum theories given by Néel and later generalized by Yafet and Kittel. It also contains the theory of thin films proposed recently by the author. The magnetization laws are completely analogous to the relations derived from the theory of molecular fields. The constants of the molecular fields are interpreted by means of exchange integrals. For the special case of spin S=1/2the theory agrees with the results of the work of Vlasov and Imuchametov for ferrimagnetics and anti-ferromagnetics and with the author's for thin films.

Condition are derived for the approximate focusing of diffraction lines in the chosen, relatively wide angular region, using the semi-focusing method with a flat sample, if a bent crystal monochromator is employed. The form of the absorption factor for a flat polycrystalline sample is derived for the case of uniform oscillation of the sample in the angular region ± around the axis of the camera.

In order to obtain sum rules and spectral representations the Hermiticity property , A = A, of observables is used. It is shown that for certain and the property turns out to be inconsistent with the commutation relations that contain A. The known Schwinger paradox is explained by this inconsistency.  相似文献

Understanding quantum theory as a general theory of prediction, we reconstruct abstract quantum theory. Abstract means the general frame of quantum theory, without reference to a three-dimensional position space, to concepts like particle or field, or to special laws of dynamics. Reconstruction is the attempt to do this by formulating simple and plausible postulates on prediction in order to derive the basic concepts of quantum theory from them. Thereby no law of classical physics is presupposed which would then have to be quantized. We briefly discuss the relationship of theory and interpretation in physics and the fundamental role of time as a basic concept for physics. Then a number ofassertions are given, formulated as succinctly as possible in order to make them easily quotable and comparable. The assertions are arranged in four groups: heuristic principles, verbal definitions of some terms, three basic postulates, and consequences. The three postulates of separable alternatives, indeterminism, and kinematics are the central points of this work. These brief assertions are commented upon, and their relationship with the interpretation of quantum theory is discussed. Also given are an outlook on the further development into concrete quantum theory and some philosophical reflections.  相似文献

The frequencies of normal modes of vibration (for a wave vectork = 0) of cubic BaTiO3 are calculated. It is shown that the purely ion crystal BaTiO3 could not be stable and the covalent bonds are therefore calculated by introducing effective charges. It is found that the lowest optical frequency substantially depends on the magnitude of the Coulomb interactions and is much lower than the other optical frequencies. The results are used to interpret the infra-red spectra of BaTiO3.

We study the spectrum of appropriate reduced density matrices for a model consisting of one quantum particle (electron) in a classical fluid (of protons) at thermal equilibrium. The quantum and classical particles interact by a shortrange, attractive potential such that the quantum particle can form atomic bound states with a single classical particle. We consider two models for the classical component: an ideal gas and the cell model of a fluid. We find that when the system is at low density the spectrum of the electron-proton pair density matrix has, in addition to a continuous part, a discrete part that is associated with atomic bound states. In the high-density limit the discrete eigenvalues disappear in the case of the cell model, indicating the existence of pressure ionization or a Mott effect according to a general criterion for characterizing bound and ionized electron-proton pairs in a plasma proposed recently by M. Girardeau. For the ideal gas model, on the other hand, eigenvalues remain even at high density.  相似文献

The probability of the decay of a bound -meson is calculated using the theory of weak interactions with an intermediate boson. It is found that this theory, like all the others, cannot explain the experimental maximum atZ=26.

The general properties of signals permit a nonaxiomatic reconstruction of the quantum probability formalism independent of the standard Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics. Performance standards are specified for candidate clock, signaller, and reflector devices, and it is shown that the resulting formalism forces identification of a probability- or intensity-like structure as the absolute square of an amplitude, the relative phases of amplitudes appearing explicitly in the probability composition law. Inequalities are produced which on one interpretation reduce to the Heisenberg relations, but it is pointed out that this reconstruction disqualifies position as an observable property of a signal.  相似文献

Influence of pair forces on the giant resonance energy
The influence of various nucleon-nucleon forces on the giant resonance energy is investigated with the help of the sum rules. The dependence of the contribution of exchange forces to the integral cross-section of the gamma quantum absorption on the number of protons and neutrons is obtained for light nuclei.
