分析了衍射光学元件实现共孔径相干合成的物理过程,建立了基于衍射光学元件的共孔径相干合成数学模型,推导了合成光束复振幅与入射光束和衍射光学元件相位分布之间的关系。提出用合成光束强度分布的均匀性作为评价函数的优化方法,获得了一维衍射合束器的相位分布。与文献报道的衍射光学元件分束器相比,可获得更高的合成效率。采用模拟退火算法结合随机并行梯度下降算法优化合束器设计,提高了计算效率,获得了多束衍射合束器的相位分布和合成效率。分析了单子束失效及合束器像差对合成效率的影响,结果表明:随着合束数量的增加,单子束失效对合成效率的影响逐渐减小;若使合成效率退化小于5%,衍射光学元件的波像差均方根值应控制在λ/28以内。  相似文献

A design method is presented for an optical element that shapes an arbitrary collimated beam. The optical element consists of a pair of diffractive optical elements (DOEs). The outgoing beam is also collimated, and can have any desired intensity profile. 有限口径非周期亚波长衍射光学器件的亚波长结构特性使得传统标量衍射理论失效,必须借助严格电磁理论进行器件的设计。提出一种循环平面波谱算法(IterativePlaneWaveSpectrumAlgorithm,IPWSA)作为器件优化算法,利用二维时域有限差分方法作为严格电磁计算模式,根据Farn方法对器件面型进行亚波长处理,设计出有限口径非周期具有亚波长结构的衍射聚焦偏转器件,偏转角为24.8°,该器件可与激光器集成构成微型集成光学系统,也可以用在红外量子阱系统中。详细分析了算法原理,设计实例验证了算法的优化效果。  相似文献

Diffractive optical elements(DOEs) with spectrum separation and beam concentration(SSBC) functions have important applications in solar cell systems. With the SSBC DOEs, the sunlight radiation is divided into several wave bands so as to be effectively absorbed by photovoltaic materials with different band gaps. A new method is proposed for designing high-efficiency SSBC DOEs, which is physically simple, numerically fast, and universally applicable. The SSBC DOEs are designed by the new design method, and their performances are analyzed by the Fresnel diffraction integral method.The new design method takes two advantages over the previous design method. Firstly, the optical focusing efficiency is heightened by up to 10%. Secondly, focal positions of all the designed wavelengths can be designated arbitrarily and independently. It is believed that the designed SSBC DOEs should have practical applications to solar cell systems.  相似文献

We propose an optical element: a phase-shifted Fresnel axicon for generation of multiple Bessel beams. By giving a binary phase modulation to the standard Fresnel axicon, the proposed element is generated. The phase profile of the binary phase modulation is engineered to generate two and three Bessel beams of equal intensities. This composite optical element is fabricated using electron beam direct writing. The performance of the fabricated device is evaluated using a semiconductor laser, and the generation of two and three Bessel beams is successfully demonstrated.  相似文献

无衍射光束(如贝塞尔光束、艾里光束)因具有无衍射、自愈合的特性, 在很多领域都有广泛的应用. 本文提出使用纯相位型空间光调制器对光场的复振幅进行调控, 从而可以产生多种复杂模式的无衍射光束, 如强度可独立调控的多个零阶贝塞尔光束, 两个高阶贝塞尔光束干涉生成的花瓣状无衍射光束, 具有多个主瓣的加速光束等特殊的无衍射光束. 通过在待测焦场附近放置一个平面反射镜, 使其沿光轴快速扫描光场, 并由数字相机同步拍摄反射回来的一系列二维光场强度分布信息, 可实现对无衍射光束三维光场强度分布的快速测量和表征. 本实验方法和技术可以快速产生各种复杂的特殊光场并获得其精确的三维可视化重建效果, 在光学显微、光学俘获、光学微加工等领域有潜在的应用价值.  相似文献

The technique of optical tweezers has been improved a lot since its invention, which extends the application fields of optical tweezers. Besides the conventionally used Gaussian beams, different types of ring beams have also been used to form optical tweezers for different purposes. The two typical kinds of ring beams used in optical tweezers are the hollow Gaussian beam and Laguerre--Gaussian (LG) beam. Both theoretical computation and experiments have shown that the axial trapping force is improved for the ring beams compared with the Gaussian beam, and hence the trapping stability is improved, although the transverse trapping forces of ring beams are smaller than that of Gaussian beam. However, no systematic study on the trapping forces of ring beam has ever been discussed. In this article, we will investigate the axial and transverse trapping forces of different types of ring beams with different parameters systematically, by numerical computation in which the ray optics model is adopted. The spherical aberration caused by the refractive index mismatch between oil and water is also considered in the article. The trapping forces for different objectives that obey the sine condition and tangent condition are also compared with each other. The result of systematical calculation will be useful for the applications of optical tweezers formed by different types of ring beams.  相似文献

We have designed miniaturized, simple, and robust cameras composed of a single diffractive optical element (DOE) that generates a continuously self-imaging (CSI) beam. Two different DOEs are explored: the J0 Bessel transmittance, characterized by a continuous optical transfer function (OTF) and the CSI grating (CSIG), characterized by a sparse OTF. In this Letter, we will analyze the properties of both DOEs in terms of radiometric performances. We will demonstrate that the noise robustness is enhanced for a CSIG, thanks to the sparsity of its OTF. A camera using this DOE has been made and experimental images are presented to illustrate the noise robustness.  相似文献

With the increasing demand for space optical communication security, space chaotic optical communication has attracted a great amount of attention. Compared with traditional space optical communication, a chaotic optical communication system has a higher bit error rate(BER) for its complex system design. In order to decrease the BER of space chaotic optical communication systems, we introduce two diffractive optical elements(DOEs)at a transmitting terminal(Tx). That is because the commonly used reflective optical antenna at Tx blocks the central part of the transmission beam, which leads to a great amount of power consumption. Introducing the DOEs into the optical subsystem at Tx can reshape the transmission beam from a Gaussian distribution to a hollow Gaussian distribution so that the block of the secondary mirror in the reflective optical antenna can be avoided. In terms of the DOE influence on communication quality, we give a BER model based on a minimumshift-key(MSK) space uplink chaotic optical communication system to describe the DOE function. Based on the model, we further investigate the effect of the DOEs through analyzing the BER relationship versus basic system parameters based on the BER model. Both different mismatch conditions of chaotic systems and different atmospheric turbulence conditions are considered. These results will be helpful for the scheme design of space uplink chaotic optical communication systems.  相似文献

This paper describes a simplified mesh generation technique that is based on the finite element method of calculation of beam-shaping diffractive optical elements (DOEs). The mesh generation technique uses the inherent symmetry of the incident beam to generate a mesh. Using the meshes so generated, DOEs that convert a Gaussian intensity beam to one of a specified shape, are calculated. Simulations of the results of such beam-shaping elements will be presented. Such elements have uses in industrial and medical applications where both the shape as well as the intensity distribution on the material that is to be processed is very important. For example, in industrial applications the beam may be used to uniformly heat up a specific area in which case the intensity has to be uniform across the beam. The Gaussian intensity variation of a laser has to be converted to a flat-top beam in order to achieve this. To reiterate, beam shaping refers to changing both the intensity distribution and the shape of the beam. Experimental results of the fabricated gratings will also be presented. These results will include experimental data on the method of additive lithography which can be used to improve the efficiency of DOEs.  相似文献

We demonstrate a novel (to our knowledge) method for the design and the fabrication of diffractive optical elements (DOEs) with an arbitrary complex phase profile based on interference. The DOEs are designed to modulate the complex light wave by the analytical formulas, and an asymmetric holographic DOE with cubic phase modulation is fabricated by a two-step exposure technique. The desired Airy beams are produced experimentally, which demonstrates the validity of this method. It is a simple approach with a low cost for the design and the fabrication of DOEs with a large area and arbitrary phase distribution.  相似文献

We report on an optical arrangement capable of compensating angular dispersion of paraxial wave fields developed by diffractive optical elements (DOEs). Schematically, the system is a beam expander in which two phase-only zone plates have been inserted, remaining afocal the coupled system. The DOE, which induces a continuous set of dispersive tilted plane waves, is placed at a specific position within the proposed setup providing an output spectrum with achromatic angular deviation. A directional matching between phase fronts and pulse fronts of output wave packets is demonstrated.  相似文献

The need for DC balancing phase pixels in ferroelectric liquid-crystal-on-silicon spatial light modulators leads to control schemes that limit their use in beam steering applications where a continuous display of a routing hologram is required. By analyzing the phase redundancy in binary phase holograms, a new DC balancing algorithm has been developed that allows more general beam splitting and multiple beam steering functions. The theoretical derivation of the algorithm and experimentally measured properties of the optical beams are presented and discussed.  相似文献

We design three types of diffractive optical elements (DOEs) which generate pseudo-nondiffracting beams (PNDBs) in different regions by using the conjugate gradient method. In order to analyze the influence of the tilt angles of the DOEs, the coordinate-transformation method is used to simplify the calculation. The uniformity of the out-coupling illuminance along the optical axis is calculated. The analyzed results show that when the tilt angle increases, the uniformity in the region [140 mm, 200 mm] has more violent fluctuations than those in the regions [280 mm, 340 mm] and [380 mm, 520 mm]. The analyses also reveal that the uniformity of DOEs with a longer focal length is less sensitive to the tilt angle, and some points within the PNDB region have small variations of axial illuminance while the tilt angle increases.  相似文献

讨论了多层衍射光学元件的光学成像性质.给出了优化设计多层衍射光学元件最大光栅厚度的方法,分析了构成多层结构的每块单层衍射元件的衍射效率对整体衍射效率的贡献作用.在0.436~0.656 μm的可见光波段,多层衍射光学元件最低衍射效率可达到98%以上,克服了单层衍射元件偏离设计波长后衍射效率显著下降的缺点,改善了宽波段衍射效率.将多层衍射光学元件应用在折、衍射混合光学系统中能够明显提高系统的成像质量,同时使得光学系统体积减小,重量减轻,并且在某些系统中可以避免使用昂贵的特殊材料,从而可以降低光学系统的成本价格.  相似文献

Cartesian beams     
A new and very general beam solution of the paraxial wave equation in Cartesian coordinates is presented. We call such a field a Cartesian beam. The complex amplitude of the Cartesian beams is described by either the parabolic cylinder functions or the confluent hypergeometric functions, and the beams are characterized by three parameters that are complex in the most general situation. The propagation through complex ABCD optical systems and the conditions for square integration are studied in detail. Applying the general expression of the Cartesian beams, we also derive two new and meaningful beam structures that, to our knowledge, have not yet been reported in the literature. Special cases of the Cartesian beams are the standard, elegant, and generalized Hermite-Gauss beams, the cosine-Gauss beams, the Lorentz beams, and the fractional order beams.  相似文献

近年来,随着激光技术的快速发展,相继产生了多种在远距离传输后中心光斑保持不变的无衍射光束,包括贝塞尔光束、高阶贝塞尔光束、马丢光束、高阶马丢光束、余弦光束、抛物线光束以及艾里光束.无衍射光束在激光打孔、激光精密准直、光学精密控制、光学微操控、光通信、等离子体导向、光子弹产生、光通信、自聚焦光束的合成以及非线性光学等领域中有着广泛的应用.本文介绍了各类无衍射光束的数学表达式、产生方法及对应的实验结果;就无衍射光束的特性和应用进行了归纳和讨论;并对其在未来的研究与应用前景中发挥的重要作用进行了简要总结与展望.  相似文献

The interactions between coherent beams launched near the interface of one-dimensional semi-infinite Kerr-type nonlinear waveguide arrays have been theoretically investigated. We have explored the effect of the input intensities, the relative phase of the optical beams, and the modulation of the refractive index of the optical lattices on nonlinear beam interaction dynamics. For in-phase beams with different incident intensities, the highly-localized spatial soliton was dragged in a discrete fashion by a low-intensity diffracting beam. Anomalous fusion of two out-of-phase beams, and energy exchange between the excited channels were observed at high intensities. The possibility of employing nonlinear interactions for optical signal re-addressing, all-optical switching is also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, binary optical elements (BOE’s) are designed for generating Bessel beams at mm- and sub mm- wavelengths. The design tool is to combine a genetic algorithm (GA) for global optimization with a two-dimension finite-difference time-domain (2-D FDTD) method for rigorous electromagnetic computation. The design process for converting a normally incident Gaussian beam into a Bessel beam is described in detail. Numerical results demonstrate that the designed BOE’s can not only successfully produce arbitrary order Bessel beams, but also have higher diffraction efficiencies when compared with amplitude holograms.  相似文献
