Notice on Oxocobaltates of Sodium NaCoO₂ belongs to the α-NaFeO₂ type of structure with a = 2.88₈, c = 15.60₆ Å; NaCo₂O₄ is isostructural with KCo₂O₄: a = 2.84₃, c = 10.81₁ Å. In a range of 73-297 K NaCoO₂ and AgCoO₂ show practically temperature independent paramagnetism: at 297 K μ_eff/μ_B = 0.7 and 0.6, respectively.

Summary Hydroxylammonium fluoride was prepared in aqueous solution by the reaction of hydroxylamine with aqueous hydrogen fluoride. The solubility in water (148.7 g/100 g) and ethanol (0.146 g/100 g), the density (1.621±0.005 g/cm³) and the metling point (97.8±2 °C) of the compound have been determined. [NH₃OH]F crystallizes orthorombic, P_abc,a=6.490(1) Å,b=9.799(1) Å,c=13.519(2) Å.

     

Notiz zur Synthese von Alkyl-, Cycloalkyl- und Aryl-3-aminophenylsulfonen

Syntheses of Some Alkyl, Cycloalkyl and Aryl 3-Aminophenyl Sulfones Syntheses of alkyl ( 1a – 1i, 1m ), cycloalkyl ( 1j, 1k ) and aryl ( 1l ) 3-aminophenyl sulfones were achieved by ethanolic Béchamp-reduction of the appropriate 3-nitrophenyl sulfones ( 3a – 3m ). The alkyl ( 3a – 3i ) and cycloalkyl ( 3j, 3k ) 3-nitrophenyl sulfones were prepared via nitration of their respective sulfones ( 2a – 2k ). Methyl (3-nitrophenyl) sulfone ( 3a ) was also prepared by condensation of 3-nitrobenzenesulfinic acid ( 4 ) with bromoacetic acid to 3-nitrophenylsulfonyl-acetic acid ( 5 ) followed by decarboxylation.

Zusammenfassung Die photometrische Bestimmung des Vanadiums mit Wasserstoffperoxyd wird weitgehend unabhängig von den in der Probenlösung vorliegenden Gehalten an Wasserstoffperoxyd und Schwefelsäure, wenn man die photometrische Messung bei der Wellenlänge des isosbestischen Punktes, =405 m, vornimmt.Ich danke Fräulein Annette Schenkedehl für die experimentelle Mitarbeit.

Some 1-substituted 2, 3-dimethyl-quinoxalinium-perchlorates were synthesized by reaction of butane-2, 3-dion with N-monosubstituted 1,2-diamino-benzenes in strongly acidic solution. 2, 3-dimethyl-4-cyclohexyl-pyrido[2,3-b]pyraziniumperchlorate was obtained from an analogous reaction.

Notiz zur Struktur des Additionsproduktes von Phenylglyoxal-bisphenylhydrazon an α-Phenylazo-styrol

The reaction product of the intermediate -phenylazostyrene2 with phenylglyoxal bisphenylhydrazone4 in the course of the reaction of -chloro- or -bromoacetophenone1 with phenylhydrazine has been reinvestigated. Its structure is shown by spectroscopic methods to be that of the 1,4-addition product6 rather than the cycloaddition product5 as reported.

Syntheses of Some Alkyl-, Cycloalkyl- and Aryl-(4-aminophenyl)-sulfones Syntheses of (4-aminophenyl)-alkyl, -cycloalkyl and -aryl sulfones 2 were achieved both by alkylation of 4-(acetylamino)-benzenesulfinic acid ( 7 ) to the corresponding acetanilides 9 followed by hydrolysis and by oxidation of the appropriate (4-nitrophenyl)-sulfides 11 to (4-nitrophenyl)-sulfones 1 with subsequent Béchamp reduction.
