考虑了错位限制下的含有退化工件的重新排序问题,即工件的实际加工时间看作是工件开工时间的线性函数.重新排序就是在原始工件已经按照某种规则使目标函数达到最优时有一新工件集到达,新工件的安排使得原始工件重新排序进而产生错位.研究了最大序列错位和总序列错位限制下的退化工件最小化总延误时间问题,其最优排序的结构性质是使得原始工件集和新工件集中的工件是按加工率αj非减的序列排列,基于此通过分阶段排序和动态规划方法给出了两个问题的多项式时间的最优算法.  相似文献

A new heuristic method for the permutation flow shop scheduling problem is presented and compared with two other heuristics named NEH and SPIRIT. The new heuristic method is based on a property of the scheduling problem that provides an upper bound on the idle time of the last machine between any two adjacent jobs regardless of their position in the sequence of jobs. The results from computational experience have shown that the new heuristic outperforms, in solution quality, all others for problems having up to 50 jobs and 30 machines.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of minimizing the maximum completion time in a two-machine flow-shop for which precedence constraints on the jobs are specified. If one job has precedence over another, then the second of these jobs cannot be processed on a machine until the first of them is completed on that machine. A powerful new lower bounding rule which uses Lagrangean relaxation is developed. Then several dominance theorems are presented which are used to eliminate some jobs from the problem. The lower bound is used in three branch and bound algorithms, two of which employ well-known branching rules while the third uses a new branching rule. The algorithms are compared and tested on problems with up to 80 jobs.  相似文献

In the rescheduling on a single machine, a set of the original jobs has already been scheduled, in order to make a given objective function is optimal. The decision maker needs to insert the new jobs into the existing schedule without excessively disrupting it. A batching machine is a machine that can handle up to some jobs simultaneously. In this paper,we consider the total completion time under a limit on the sequence disruptions for parallel batching based on rescheduling. For the parallel batching problem based on rescheduling, we research the properties of feasible schedules and optimal schedules on the total completion time under a limit on the maximum time disruptions or total time disruptions, in which the jobs are sequenced in SPT order, and give out the pseudo-polynomial time algorithms on the number of jobs and the processing time of jobs by applying the dynamic programming method.  相似文献

An experimental investigation of the performance of dispatching rules and a heuristic for scheduling in static flowshops with missing operations is undertaken in this study. The measure of performance is the minimization of total flow time of jobs. Permutation schedules are generated by using the heuristic for scheduling. General schedules, which can be permutation or non-permutation schedules, are obtained by using dispatching rules. Four dispatching rules, including a new dispatching rule, are considered. Two types of flowshops are studied: one with no missing operations of jobs and another with missing operations of jobs. In the latter type of flowshops, jobs with varying number of missing operations are considered. An extensive investigation of the performance of the dispatching rules and the heuristic is carried out. It is observed that the heuristic minimizes total flow time of jobs more than dispatching rules up to a certain level of missing operations of jobs in flowshops, after which dispatching rules perform better. The performance of the heuristic and the dispatching rules in terms of minimizing the makespan as a secondary measure is also reported.  相似文献

In a flowshop scheduling problem, a set of jobs is processed by a set of machines. The jobs follow the same sequence in all machines. We study the flowshop scheduling problem under a new case of machine dominance that is often found in the manufacturing of computers and electronic devices. We provide a formula for makespan value for a given sequence, show that the makespan value depends only on certain jobs in the sequence, and present an algorithm that finds a sequence with minimum makespan. In this paper, we consider two single-machine rescheduling problems with linear deteriorating jobs under disruption. By a deteriorating jobs, we mean that the actual processing time of the job is an increasing function of its starting time. The two problems correspond to two different increasing linear function. Rescheduling means a set of original jobs has already been scheduled to minimize some classical objective, then a new set of jobs arrives and creates a disruption. We consider the rescheduling problem to minimize the total completion time under a limit of the disruption from the original scheduling. For each problem, we consider two versions. Permutation flow shop problems (PFSPs) with makespan minimization that model production lines working in industry often have some special features: they are typically large-scale and the jobs can be sorted into types so that jobs of the same type have equal processing time values at each machine. We define the related R-PFSP, the Permutation with Repetition Flow Shop Problem, which is of less complexity if the number of types is bounded. Moreover, a subproblem set of R-PFSPs, the RL-PFSP is considered too, where only those permutations are in the design space in which subsequent tuples of a certain size contain jobs of the same type. We construct adequate new MILP models for R-PFSPs and RL-PFSPs and investigate their effectiveness experimentally. We demonstrate that via our new MILP models significantly larger problems can be solved than via the classical MILP models.  相似文献

Congestion and memory occupancy in computer system may be reduced further if new jobs are admitted only when the number of jobs queued at CPU is below CPU run queue cutoff (RQ). In this paper, we prove that response time of a job is invariant with respect toRQ if jobs do not communicate each other. We also demonstrate this invariance property numerically using marix-geometric methods and present an approximate method for the delay due to context switching under time slicing. The approximation suggests that time slicing with constant overhead yields a throughput similar to an FCFS system without overhead.  相似文献

This paper investigates a new problem, called single machine scheduling with multiple job processing ability, which is derived from the production of the continuous walking beaming reheating furnace in iron and steel industry. In this problem, there is no batch and the jobs enter and leave the machine one by one and continuously, which is different from general single machine batch scheduling problem where the jobs in a batch share the same start and departure time. Therefore, the start time and the departure time of a job depend on not only the job sequence but also the machine capacity. This problem is also different from the single semi-continuous batching machine scheduling recently studied in the literature, where the jobs are processed in batch mode and a new batch cannot be started for processing until the processing of the previous batch is completed though jobs in the same batch enter and leave the machine one by one. The objective of this problem is to minimize the makespan. We formulate this problem as a mixed integer linear programming model and propose a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for this problem. Computational results on randomly generated instances show that the proposed PSO algorithm is effective.  相似文献

This paper studies the bicriteria problem of scheduling n jobs on a serial-batching machine to minimize maximum cost and makespan simultaneously. A serial-batching machine is a machine that can handle up to b jobs in a batch and jobs in a batch start and complete respectively at the same time and the processing time of a batch is equal to the sum of the processing times of jobs in the batch. When a new batch starts, a constant setup time s occurs. We confine ourselves to the unbounded model, where b ≥ n. We present a polynomial-time algorithm for finding all Pareto optimal solutions of this bicriteria scheduling problem.  相似文献

This paper presents new elimination rules for the single machine problem with general earliness and tardiness penalties subject to release dates. These rules, based on a Lagrangian decomposition, allow to drastically reduce the execution windows of the jobs. We measure the efficiency of these properties by integrating them in a branch-and-bound. Tests show that instances with up to 70 jobs without release dates, and up to 40 jobs with release dates, can be optimally solved within 1000 seconds.  相似文献

Consider a single-server queueing system with K job classes, each having its own renewal input process and its own general service time distribution. Further suppose the queue is in heavy traffic, meaning that its traffic intensity parameter is near the critical value of one. A system manager must decide whether or not to accept new jobs as they arrive, and also the order in which to serve jobs that are accepted. The goal is to minimize penalties associated with rejected jobs, subject to upper bound constraints on the throughput times for accepted jobs; both the penalty for rejecting a job and the bound on the throughput time may depend on job class. This problem formulation does not make sense in a conventional queueing model, because throughput times are random variables, but we show that the formulation is meaningful in an asymptotic sense, as one approaches the heavy traffic limit under diffusion scaling. Moreover, using a method developed recently by Bramson and Williams, we prove that a relatively simple dynamic control policy is asymptotically optimal in this framework. Our proposed policy rejects jobs from one particular class when the server's nominal workload is above a threshold value, accepting all other arrivals; and the sequencing rule for accepted jobs is one that maintains near equality of the relative backlogs for different classes, defined in a natural sense.  相似文献

We consider a simple Markovian queue with Poisson arrivals and exponential service times for jobs. The controller chooses state-dependent service rates from an action space. The queue has a finite buffer, and when full, new jobs get rejected. The controller’s objective is to choose optimal service rates that meet a quality-of-service constraint.
