The quantum hydrodynamic model is employed to study the nonlinear structure of non-planar dust acoustic waves in quantum dusty plasmas consisting of electrons, ions, and negatively/positively charged dust particles. A Kadomstev-Petviashvili equation is derived in cylindrical geometry. Based on the analytical solution, it is found that the Nebulon structure is significantly modified by the quantum effects including quantum diffraction effect and quantum statistical effect.  相似文献

The effect of higher-order nonlinearity on dust acoustic solitary waves is studied taking into account the dust-charge variation. The model of charge fluctuation, taken here, is of the formI e+I i=0,I e andI i being the electronic and ionic currents. The dust charge is determined self consistently from the current-balance equation. It is found that the higher-order correction modifies the amplitude and width of the dust acoustic solitary waves. The effect of dust-charge streaming is also discussed.  相似文献

The dust acoustic solitary waves propagating in two different directions in two-dimensional dusty plasma are investigated. In order to study the soliton interactions in multi-dimensional systems, we extend the reductive perturbation method and obtain two Kortewe-de Vries equations for nonlinear waves in both the ξ and 77 directions, respectively. The phase shifts after collision of two solitons with arbitrary angle are given. Finally, the solution of na up to O(ε^4) order is obtained.  相似文献

This Letter deals with a generalized Camassa-Holm equation and a nonlinear dispersive equation by making use of a mathematical technique based on using integral factors for solving differential equations. The peakons, solitary patterns and periodic solutions are expressed analytically under various circumstances. The conditions that cause the qualitative change in the physical structures of the solutions are highlighted.  相似文献

A mathematical technique based on an auxiliary equation and the symbolic computation system Matlab is developed to construct the exact solutions for a generalized Camassa-Holm equation and a nonlinear dispersive equation with variable coefficients. It is shown that the variable coefficients of the derivative terms in the equations cause the qualitative change in the physical structures of the solutions.  相似文献

In this Letter, for the dust-ion-acoustic waves with azimuthal perturbation in a dusty plasma, a cylindrical modified Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (CMKP) model is constructed by virtue of symbolic computation, with three families of exact analytic solutions obtained as well. Dark and bright CMKP nebulons are investigated with pictures and related to such dusty-plasma environments as the supernova shells and Saturn's F-ring. Difference of the CMKP nebulons from other known nebulons is also analyzed, and possibly-observable CMKP-nebulonic effects for the future plasma experiments are proposed, especially those on the possible notch/slot and dark-bright bi-existence.  相似文献

In dusty plasmas, overlapping Debye spheres around dust grains could produce an attractive force between them. Its effects on static structures of two-dimensional (2D) dusty plasmas are studied here by using molecular dynamics simulations. Results, in terms of the equilibrium radial distribution function, are compared with those deduced from purely repulsive Debye-Hückel or Yukawa potential for different Coulomb-coupling and screening parameters. The effect of the attractive force is found quite noticeable for usual experimental conditions, and becomes more pronounced for larger screening parameter κ. In particular, it is observed that for large κ the attractive force is dominant, and dust grains tend to aggregate and form patterns with scattering voids.  相似文献

Dust ion-acoustic solitary waves in unmagnetized quantum plasmas are studied in spherical and cylindrical geometries. Using quantum hydrodynamic model, the electrostatic waves are investigated in the weakly nonlinear limit. A deformed Korteweg-de Vries (dKdV) equation is derived by using the reductive perturbation method and its numerical solutions are also presented. The quantum diffraction and quantum statistical effects incorporated in the system modifies the characteristics of dust ion-acoustic waves in cylindrical and spherical geometries. The role of stationary dust particles in quantum plasmas are also discussed. It is shown that the cylindrical and spherical dust ion-acoustic solitary waves behave quite differently from one-dimensional planar solitary waves in quantum plasmas.  相似文献

Properties of nonplanar (viz. cylindrical and spherical) dust ion-acoustic (DIA) solitary and shock waves propagating in a dusty plasma containing charge fluctuating stationary dust, inertial warm ions, and non-isothermal electrons following a vortex-like distribution, are investigated by the reductive perturbation method. It has been shown that all the basic features of the DIA solitary and shock waves are significantly modified by the effects of vortex-like electron distribution, dust charge fluctuation, and nonplanar cylindrical and spherical geometries. The implications of our results in some space and laboratory dusty plasma environments are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Tian and Gao [B. Tian, Y.T. Gao, Phys. Lett. A 340 (2005) 243] have recently constructed a spherical Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation for the dust-ion-acoustic waves with zenith-angle perturbation in a cosmic dusty plasma, and symbolically obtained and discussed spherical structures of the expanding dark, shrinking dark, expanding bright and shrinking bright nebulons. In this Comment, we point out that certain simple coordinate transformations exist, which make the analytic nebulon solutions more easily accessible. We also show that the transformed solutions can result in a couple of nebulon solutions in addition to the second-order nebulons found by Tian and Gao.  相似文献

The propagation of one-dimensional shock-like waves (SLWs) in a dissipative quantum magnetoplasma medium is studied. A quantum magnetohydrodynamic (QMHD) model is used to take into account the effects of quantum force associated with the Bohm potential and the pressure-like spin force for electrons. It is shown that the nonlinear evolution equation [Korteweg-de-Vries-Burger (KdVB)], which describes the dynamics of small but finite amplitude magnetosonic waves (MSWs) (where the dissipation is provided by the plasma resistivity) exhibits both oscillatory and monotonic shock-like perturbations (SLPs) by the effects of collective tunneling and spin alignment. Both the quantum and spin force significantly modify the shock-like structures and the strength of SLPs. The theoretical results could be of important for strongly magnetized astrophysical (e.g., pulsars, magnetars) plasmas.  相似文献

The three-dimensional extended quantum Zakharov-Kuznetsov (ZK) equation was investigated in dense quantum plasmas which arises from the dimensionless hydrodynamics equations describing the nonlinear propagation of the quantum ion-acoustic waves. With the aid of symbolic computation, many types of new analytical solutions of the extended quantum ZK equation are constructed in terms of some powerful ansatze, which include new doubly periodic wave, solitary wave, shock wave, rational wave, and singular wave solutions. Moreover, we analyze the nonlinear wave propagation of the obtained solutions for some chosen parameters.  相似文献

A dusty plasma system consisting of electrons, ions, and negative as well as positive dust particles has been considered. The basic properties of arbitrary amplitude solitary potential structures that may exist in such a multi-component dusty plasma have been theoretically investigated by the pseudo-potential approach. It has been found that the presence of additional positive dust component does not only significantly modify the basic properties of solitary potential structures, but also causes the coexistence of positive and negative solitary potential structures, which is a completely new feature shown in a dusty plasma with dust of opposite polarity.  相似文献

The effects of nonadiabatic dust charge fluctuation on the nonlinear propagation of the dust acoustic (DA) solitary wave in collisionless dusty plasma with streaming ions have been investigated. By using the reductive perturbation technique, a modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation governing the nonlinear waves was derived and the solitary solution of the mKdV equation was also obtained. It was shown that the damping rate of the slow mode DA solitary wave was strongly affected by the ion streaming velocity.  相似文献

Theoretical investigation on the propagation of ion-acoustic waves in an unmagnetized self-gravitating plasma has been made for the existence of solitary waves using the reductive perturbation method. It is observed that nonlinear excitations follow a coupled third-order partial differential equation which is slightly different from the usual case of coupled Korteweg-de Vries (K-dV) system. It appears that the system so deduced is a two-component generalization of the previous one derived by Paul et al. (1999) in which it was shown that ion-acoustic solitary waves can not exist in such system.  相似文献

The nonlinear interaction of quantum Langmuir waves (QLWs) and quantum ion-acoustic waves (QIAWs) described by the one-dimensional quantum Zakharov equations (QZEs) is reinvestigated. A Galerkin type approximation is used to reduce the QZS to a simplified system (SS) of nonlinear ordinary differential equations which governs the temporal behaviors of the slowly varying envelope of the high-frequency electric field and the low frequency density fluctuation. This SS is then shown to establish the coexistence of novel hyperchaotic attractors, whose appearance is explained by means of the analysis of Lyapunov exponent spectra as well as the Kaplan-Yorke dimension. The system has an equilibrium point which depends parametrically on the nondimensional quantum parameter (H) proportional to quantum diffraction, the plasmon number (N) and the wave number of perturbation (α), and which can evolve into periodic, quasi-periodic, chaotic and hyperchaotic states in both semiclassical and quantum cases.  相似文献

The problem of nonlinear variable charge dust acoustic waves in a dusty plasma with trapped ions is revisited. The correct non-isothermal ion charging current is presented for the first time based on the orbit motion limited (OML) approach. The variable dust charge is then expressed in terms of the Lambert function and we take advantage of this new transcendental function to investigate nonlinear localized dust acoustic waves in a charge varying dusty plasma with trapped ions more rigorously.  相似文献

The linear dispersion properties of transverse shear waves in a strongly coupled dusty plasma are experimentally studied in a DC discharge device by exciting them in a controlled manner with a variable frequency external source. The dusty plasma is maintained in the strongly coupled fluid regime with (1<Γ?Γc) where Γ is the Coulomb coupling parameter and Γc is the crystallization limit. A dispersion relation for the transverse waves is experimentally obtained over a frequency range of 0.1 Hz to 2 Hz and found to show good agreement with viscoelastic theoretical results.  相似文献

An investigation has been made of ion-acoustic solitary waves in an unmagnetized nonthermal plasma whose constituents are an inertial ion fluid and nonthermally distributed electrons. The properties of stationary solitary structures are briefly studied by the pseudo-potential approach, which is valid for arbitrary amplitude waves, and by the reductive perturbation method which is valid for small but finite amplitude limit. The time evolution of both compressive and rarefactive solitary waves, which are found to coexist in this nonthermal plasma model, is also examined by solving numerically the full set of fluid equations. The temporal behaviour of positive (compressive) solitary waves is found to be typical, i.e., the positive initial disturbance breaks up into a series of solitary waves with the largest in front. However, the behaviour of negative (rarefactive) solitary waves is quite different. These waves appear to be unstable and produce positive solitary waves at a later time. The relevancy of this investigation to observations in the magnetosphere of density depressions is briefly pointed out. Received 12 October 1999  相似文献
