The quantum decision theory introduced recently is formulated as a quantum theory of measurement. It describes prospect states represented by complex vectors of a Hilbert space over a prospect lattice. The prospect operators, acting in this space, form an involutive bijective algebra. A measure is defined for quantifying the entanglement produced by the action of prospect operators. This measure characterizes the level of complexity of prospects involved in decision making. An explicit expression is found for the maximal entanglement produced by the operators of multimode prospects.  相似文献

A scheme for constructing quantum mechanics is given that does not have Hilbert space and linear operators as its basic elements. Instead, a version of algebraic approach is considered. Elements of a noncommutative algebra (observables) and functionals on this algebra (elementary states) associated with results of single measurements are used as primary components of the scheme. On the one hand, it is possible to use within the scheme the formalism of the standard (Kolmogorov) probability theory, and, on the other hand, it is possible to reproduce the mathematical formalism of standard quantum mechanics, and to study the limits of its applicability. A short outline is given of the necessary material from the theory of algebras and probability theory. It is described how the mathematical scheme of the paper agrees with the theory of quantum measurements, and avoids quantum paradoxes.  相似文献

A method for evaluation of Kostka matrices at the level of bases, and determination of related irreducible basis of the Weyl duality is proposed. The method bases on Jucys-Murphy operators which constitute a complete set of commuting Hermitian operators along the general Dirac formalism of quantum mechanics, applied to the algebra of a symmetric group. The way of construction of appropriate projection operators is pointed out, and the combinatorial meaning of the path on the Young graph, corresponding to a standard Young tableau, is made transparent.  相似文献

Furthermore, deterministic quantum information processing is very important for efficient processing and it can be realized with continuous-variable quantum information processing. A quantum secret sharing scheme is proposed by making use of quantum registers. In the proposed scheme, secret message state is encoded into multipartite entangled states. Several identical multi-particle entanglement states are generated and each particle of the entanglement state is filled in different quantum registers which act as shares of the secret message. Two modes, i.e. the detecting mode and the message mode, are employed so that the eavesdropping can be detected easily and the secret message may be recovered. The security analysis shows that the proposed scheme is secure against eavesdropping of eavesdropper and cheating of participants.  相似文献

Discrimination between two quantum states is addressed as a quantum detection process where a measurement with two outcomes is performed and a conclusive binary decision results about the state. The performance is assessed by the overall probability of decision error. Based on the theory of quantum detection, the optimal measurement and its performance are exhibited in general conditions. An application is realized on the qubit, for which generic models of quantum noise can be investigated for their impact on state discrimination from a noisy qubit. The quantum noise acts through random application of Pauli operators on the qubit prior to its measurement. For discrimination from a noisy qubit, various situations are exhibited where reinforcement of the action of the quantum noise can be associated with enhanced performance. Such implications of the quantum noise are analyzed and interpreted in relation to stochastic resonance and enhancement by noise in information processing.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate the coherent manipulation of atomic states in far-detuned dipole traps and registers of dipole traps based on two-dimensional arrays of microlenses. By applying Rabi, Ramsey, and spin-echo techniques, we systematically investigate the dephasing mechanisms and determine the coherence time. Simultaneous Ramsey measurements in up to 16 dipole traps are performed and prove the scalability of our approach. This represents an important step in the application of scalable registers of atomic qubits for quantum information processing. In addition, this system can serve as the basis for novel atomic clocks making use of the parallel operation of a large number of individual clocks each remaining separately addressable. Employing quantum registers, we first proposed a novel (2, 3) quantum threshold scheme based on Einstein- Podolsky Rosen (EPR) correlations in this letter. Motivated by the present threshold scheme, we also propose a controlled communication scheme to transmit the secret message with a controller. In the communication protocol, the encoded quantum message carried by particles sequence, is transmitted by legitimate communicators.  相似文献

A general method is proposed for the construction of a gauge-invariant canonical quantum formulation for the gauge-invariant classical theory that depends on the set of parameters. The conditions for closure of the algebra of operators, which generate quantum gauge transformations, entails constraints on the parameters of the theory. The approach described is demonstrated by the example of a closed bosonic string, interacting with a background tachyonic field. The algebraic foundation of cohomological field theory is presented. It is shown that these theories are based upon realizations of an algebra which contains operators for both BRST and vector supersymmetry. Through a localization of this algebra, we construct a theory of cohomological gravity in arbitrary dimensions. The observables in the theory are polynomial, but generally non-local operators, and have a natural interpretation in terms of a universal bundle for gravity. As such, their correlation functions correspond to cohomology classes on moduli spaces of Riemannian connections. In this uniformization approach, different moduli spaces are obtained by introducing curvature singularities on codimension two submanifolds via a puncture operator. This puncture operator is constructed from a naturally occuring differential form of co-degree two in the theory, and we are led to speculate on connections between this continuum quantum field theory, and the discrete Regge calculus.  相似文献

Entanglement is realized in asymmetric coupled double quantum wells (DQWs) trapped in a doubly resonant cavity by means of Fano-type interference through a tunneling barrier, which is different from the previous studies on entanglement induced by strong external driven fields in atomic media. We investigate the generation and evolution of entanglement and show that the strength of Fano interference can influence effectively the degree of the entanglement between two cavity modes and the enhanced entanglement can be generated in this DQW system. The present investigation may provide research opportunities in quantum entangled experiments in the DQW solid-state nanostructures and may result in a substantial impact on the technology for entanglement engineering in quantum information processing.  相似文献

We investigate a scheme of atomic quantum memory to store photonic qubits of polarization in cavity QED. It is observed that the quantum state swapping between a single-photon pulse and a Λ-type atom can be made via scattering in an optical cavity [T. W. Chen, C. K. Law, P. T. Leung, Phys. Rev. A 69 (2004) 063810]. This swapping operates limitedly in the strong coupling regime for Λ-type atoms with equal dipole couplings. We extend this scheme in cavity QED to present a more feasible and efficient method for quantum memory combined with projective measurement. This method works without requiring such a condition on the dipole couplings. The fidelity is significantly higher than that of the swapping, and even in the moderate coupling regime it reaches almost unity by narrowing sufficiently the photon-pulse spectrum. This high performance is rather unaffected by the atomic loss, cavity leakage or detunings, while a trade-off is paid in the success probability for projective measurement.  相似文献

The generation of various entangled states is an essential task in quantum information processing. Recently, a scheme (PRA 79, 022304) has been suggested for generating Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state and cluster state with atomic ensembles based on the Rydberg blockade. Using similar resources as the earlier scheme, here we propose an experimentally feasible scheme of preparing arbitrary four-qubit W class of maximally and non- maximally entangled states with atomic ensembles in a single step. Moreover, we carefully analyze the realistic noises and predict that four-qubit W states can be produced with high fidelity (F - 0.994) via our scheme.  相似文献

Based on the controlled order rearrange encryption (CORE) for quantum key distribution using EPR pairs [Fu.G. Deng, G.L. Long, Phys. Rev. A 68 (2003) 042315], we propose a generalized controlled order rearrangement encryption (GCORE) protocol using non-maximally entangled W-class states with probability, but it also has full efficiency and we compare the similarity and difference with original protocol. Besides, we use this W-class state to split quantum information, thus the scheme is robust against decoherence.  相似文献

Two schemes are proposed for generating atomic qubits cluster states in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). In the first scheme, only two-atom-cavity interactions are involved, and cluster states can be directly generated by using constructed two-qubit controlled phase gates. The second scheme needs the assistance of additional single-qubit rotations, but takes less time than the first one for two-atom operations in the cavity. In this scheme, two projective operators are constructed to prepare two-dimension or more complicated configurations of cluster states. Both schemes are insensitive to the cavity decay due to the fact that the cavity is only virtually excited during the interaction between atoms and the cavity. The idea can also be applied to the ion trap system.  相似文献

In this paper, we survey some of the more concrete aspects of the approach with a particular focus on applications to quantum information theory. Positive-operator-value measurement (POVM) is the most general class of quantum measurement. We propose a scheme to deterministically implement arbitrary POVMs of single atomic qubit via cavity QED catalysed by only one ancilla atomic qubit. By appropriately entangling two atomic qubits and sequentially measuring the ancilla qubit, any POVM can be implemented step by step. As an application of our scheme, the realization of a specific POVM for optimal unambiguous discrimination (OUD) between two nonorthogonal states is given.  相似文献

The entanglement dynamics of two vibrational modes of a polyatomic molecule coupled by Coriolis interaction to overall molecular rotation is studied in terms of two negativities, N(t) and Ns(t), respectively, defined by the minimum of the eigenvalues and by the sum of the negative eigenvalues of the partial transpose of a density matrix. Various initial states are the products of Dicke states and the products of coherent states of vibrations and rotations. Formaldehyde is taken as an example, and the von Neumann entropy s(t) is simulated for the comparison with both negativities. It is shown that negativity Ns(t) is positively correlated with entropy s(t), and the correlated behavior between negativity N(t) and entropy s(t) strongly depends on initial states. However, these three indicators of entanglement display a dominantly positive correlation for the coherent states with small or large parameters. In addition, for the latter state two quantities N(t) and s(t) are nearly unchanged for a long time. This time can be further increased by the increasing of vibrational quantum number so that molecular information processing and quantum computing is allowed. These results are useful in quantum information theory.  相似文献
