Empirical observations indicate that the interevent time distribution of human actions exhibits heavy-tailed features. The queuing model based on task priorities is to some extent successful in explaining the origin of such heavy tails, however, it cannot explain all the temporal statistics of human behavior especially for the daily entertainments. We propose an interest-driven model, which can reproduce the power-law distribution of interevent time. The exponent can be analytically obtained and is in good accordance with the simulations. This model well explains the observed relationship between activities and power-law exponents, as reported recently for web-based behavior and the instant message communications.  相似文献

The model of opinion formation in human population based on social impact theory is investigated numerically. On the basis of a database received from the on-line game server, we examine the structure of social network and human dynamics. We calculate the activity of individuals, i.e. the relative time devoted daily to interactions with others in the artificial society. We study the influence of correlation between the activity of an individual and its connectivity on the process of opinion formation. We find that such correlations have a significant influence on the temperature of the phase transition and the effect of the mass media, modeled as an external stimulation acting on the social network.  相似文献

Ideas and tools from statistical physics have recently been applied to the investigation of human dynamics. The timing of human activities, in particular, has been studied both experimentally and analytically. Empirical data show that, in many different situations, the time interval separating two consecutive tasks executed by an individual follows a heavy-tailed probability distribution rather than Poisson statistics. To account for this data, human behaviour has been viewed as a decision-based queuing system where individuals select and execute tasks belonging to a finite list of items as an increasing function of a task priority parameter. It is then possible to obtain analytically the empirical result P(τ)∼1/τ, where P(τ) is the waiting time probability distribution.Here a continuous model of human dynamics is introduced using instead an infinite queuing list. In contrast with the results obtained by other models in the finite case we find a waiting time distribution explicitly depending on the priority distribution density function ρ. The power-law scaling P(τ)∼1/τ is then recovered when ρ is exponentially distributed.  相似文献

Tensile tests were carried out by deforming polycrystalline samples of Al-2.5%Mg alloy at room temperature in a wide range of strain rates where the Portevin-Le Chatelier (PLC) effect was observed. The experimental stress-time series data have been analyzed using the recurrence analysis technique based on the Recurrence Plot (RP) and the Recurrence Quantification Analysis (RQA) to study the change in the dynamical behavior of the PLC effect with the imposed strain rate. Our study revealed that the RQA is able to detect the unique crossover phenomenon in the PLC dynamics.  相似文献

A new technique for analyzing multicomponent liquids is suggested. It is based on recording “electronic autographs” of liquids and thereby allows one to identify and certify them. In this technique, information comes from the dynamics of the complex process of self-organization in drying drops, this dynamics being dependent on the composition and structure of the liquid. Detecting the self-organization dynamics as acoustomechanical impedance, one can reveal quantitative distinctions between liquids and thereby test their quality by comparing with a reference.  相似文献

In this paper, a single relay cooperative diversity network model is proposed, analyzing queuing delay of the packets at relay node. Using dynamic radio link adaptation in wireless networks, based on the character of GBN-ARQ protocol and the queuing theory, the paper solves the problem that packets wait to transmit at relay, and presents a relay node to destination node queuing analysis model for GBN-ARQ protocol with fixed feedback delay. The paper establishes Markov model of packet transmission, and the delay statistics at relay node are figured out by using matrix geometric methods.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a model of electricity market based on the forward rate dynamics described by a diffusion with jumps as a generalization of the classical diffusion approach. We consider jump components resulting from a coupled continuous-time random walk (CTRW) with jump lengths proportional to the corresponding inter-jump time intervals. In the framework of the model we derive a formula for the EURO-price of a standard European call option, showing applicability of CTRW processes for pricing of financial instruments. The result, obtained by an advance theory of semimartingales, is an essential extension of the pricing formula derived in the classical diffusion model of the forward rate dynamics. It indicates an influence of both, the continuous and the jump parts of the forward rate process on the option price.  相似文献

This paper aims to provide a new step towards statistical inference based on symbolic dynamics. Relevant null hypotheses can be expressed in probabilities associated with a given set of symbols, and therefore new nonparametric tests can be developed. Symbolic analysis of the dynamics of the second moment of a stochastic process has lead us to present a new semi-parametric test of heteroskedasticity. The test is fairly general as minimal assumptions are required to be used. Monte Carlo experiments mainly show the great power of the test and the fact that is very competitive test as compared with other powerful tests currently available in the relevant literature.  相似文献

Storage area networks (SANs) are becoming an important part of optical MANs (metropolitan area networks). Growing storage and business-continuity needs; high-bandwidth, low latency requirements for SANs; storage infrastructure consolidation; and post-9/11 regulatory issues are among the several driving factors to push this trend. We, in this paper, consider a metro wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) SAN that allows the transmission of variable packet size such as Internet protocol (IP) datagram and evaluate its performance by means of discrete-event simulation. The network is based on one fixed transmitter and multiple fixed receivers. Beginning with an introduction and the context of this work, we describe the network and node architectures; and introduce the medium access control (MAC) protocols. Subsequently, using the Poisson and self-similar traffic, we present and discuss performance of the proposed network architecture in terms of throughput and queuing delay under symmetric and asymmetric traffic scenarios. The simulation results suggested that the proposed architecture is suitable for SAN applications which demand low queuing delay and high throughput.  相似文献

We present a numerical method to solve the linear stability of impulsively accelerated density interfaces in two dimensions such as those arising in the Richtmyer–Meshkov instability. The method uses an Eulerian approach, and is based on an upwind method to compute the temporally evolving base state and a flux vector splitting method for the perturbations. The method is applicable to either gas dynamics or magnetohydrodynamics. Numerical examples are presented for cases in which a hydrodynamic shock interacts with a single or double density interface, and a doubly shocked single density interface. Convergence tests show that the method is spatially second-order accurate for smooth flows, and between first and second-order accurate for flows with shocks.  相似文献

We present a simple and general reduction algorithm for stiff monomolecular kinetic systems. The reduction is based on algebraic techniques and consists in eliminating the fastest dynamics in the initial system without any change of basis. This process is systematic and is not based on chemical conventional assumptions or on singular perturbation techniques. Systems can be reduced even if they are not in the Tikhonov form. This reduction process is applied to kinetic systems with kinetic constants belonging to different scales. Error estimates for all species are given. Numerical tests are performed.  相似文献

分析不同的区域分解方法及优先级插入算法对二维柱几何下中子输运方程Sn间断有限元方程并行效率的影响,给出基于最小面体比的正方形区域分解方法及沿径向的优先级插入算法,并通过将正方形区域分解方法与径向优先级插入算法进行组合,形成新的算法.新算法更适应于二维柱几何下输运方程Sn间断有限元方法的并行计算.数值试验表明,在通信延迟较高的大型国产并行机上,新算法用数百个CPU还可以取得较好的并行效果,比已有方法具有更良好的可扩展性.  相似文献

Self-organized Monte Carlo simulations are suggested. Their essence is artificial dynamics consisting of the well-known single-spin-flip Metropolis algorithm supplemented by biased random walk in temperature space. The action of walker is driven by feedback utilizing the linear filtering recursion based on the instantaneous estimates of Binder cumulants. The simulation for 2d Ising model demonstrates that the mean temperature typical for the steady noncanonical equilibrium regime properly approximates the true critical temperature. The estimates of the critical Binder cumulants and critical exponents are also discussed.  相似文献

The dynamic characteristic and effects of plasma play an important role in film growth process of pulsed laser deposition (PLD). Based on numerical hydrodynamic modeling, supposed the laser radiation and partial ionization of the plasma as a dynamic source, we deduce a set of new plasma expansion dynamics equations. Based on which, as an example of carbon target, using finite difference method, the plasma flow dynamics evolvement in vacuum is investigated. Our results show the dynamic partial ionization increases the expansion in all directions, which changes into a new dynamic source for plasma expansion. In the axial direction, because of the collisional interactions between particles, the plume density peak is in the vicinity of the target surface and the acceleration of plasma occurs mainly near the target surface too. In the transverse direction, the plume peak is not near the target, but at the surface. The space expansion distance is far less than the axial direction because there is no high initial velocity component in this direction. The predictions of the plasma expansion action based on the proposed dynamics source assumption are found to be in agreement with the experimental observation.  相似文献

In this study the thermodynamic and structural properties of a CuAlNi model alloy (3A) system were investigated using a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation method. The interactions between atoms were modelled by the Sutton-Chen embedded atom method (SCEAM) based on many-body interactions. It was observed that at the end of thermal process the thermo-elastic phase transformation occurred in the model alloy system. In order to analyse the structures obtained from MD simulation, techniques such as thermodynamic parameters and radial distribution function (RDF) were used. The local atomic order in the model alloy was analysed using Honeycutt–Andersen (HA) method.  相似文献

This paper presents an investigation of the modeling of the process of pyrolytic laser-induced chemical vapor deposition (LCVD) applied to study the Soret effect. LCVD is a thermally activated process characterized by strongly coupled mass and energy transport phenomena, together with chemical reactions, which are difficult to investigate experimentally. A physical and numerical model based on a commercial computational fluid dynamics package is developed and used to simulate a reactor operating at conditions of room temperature and pressure. The proposed numerical methodology will allow us to assess and analyze the effect of various factors controlling the process, and in particular the Soret effect. This numerical model is validated by comparison with the measured growth rate of the fiber. While several studies have proposed simulations of the LCVD process, this is among the first attempts at including the Soret effect in the numerical modeling at the micro-scale level. It is expected that the fundamental insights thus obtained will guide experimental investigations which can be applied to establish reactor design and process control guidelines.  相似文献

A new physical object, electron-positron quantum droplet, is suggested. Structure, stability and dynamics of such objects are discussed. The analysis is based on the non-relativistic self-consistent local-density approximation. An essential role of many-body effects in the formation of the droplets is demonstrated. Their properties are compared with the known physical objects such as metal clusters and clusters of excitons in a solid.  相似文献

We study the viscoelastic properties and the relaxation process in a gelling system by means of a minimal statistical-mechanics model. The model is based on percolation and bond fluctuation dynamics. The values for the critical exponents of the viscosity and elasticity agree with a part of the experimental observations and of the theoretical predictions.
