The structure of bis(dimethylammonium) pentachloroantimonate(III), [(CH3)2NH2]2[SbCl5], BDP, was studied at 15 K and ambient pressure by single-crystal X-ray diffraction as well as at ambient temperature and high pressures up to 4.87(5) GPa by Raman spectroscopy. BDP crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group with a=8.4069(4), b=11.7973(7), c=14.8496(7) Å, and Z=4; R1=0.0381, wR2=0.0764. The structure consists of distorted [SbCl6]3− octahedra forming zig-zag [{SbCl5}n]2n chains that are cross-linked by dimethylammonium [(CH3)2NH2]+ cations. The organic and inorganic substructures are bound together by the N-H…Cl hydrogen bonds. The distortions of [SbCl6]3− units increase, partly due to the influence of the hydrogen bonds which became stronger, with decreasing temperature. The preliminary room temperature, high-pressure X-ray diffraction experiments suggest that BDP undergoes a first-order phase transition below ca. 0.44(5) GPa that destroys single-crystal samples. The transition is accompanied by changes in the intensities and positions of the Raman lines below 400 cm−1.  相似文献

The crystal structures of the two new synthetic compounds Co2TeO3Cl2 and Co2TeO3Br2 are described together with their magnetic properties. Co2TeO3Cl2 crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/m with unit cell parameters a=5.0472(6) Å, b=6.6325(9) Å, c=8.3452(10) Å, β=105.43(1)°, Z=2. Co2TeO3Br2 crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pccn with unit cell parameters a=10.5180(7) Å, b=15.8629(9) Å, c=7.7732(5) Å, Z=8. The crystal structures were solved from single crystal data, R=0.0328 and 0.0412, respectively. Both compounds are layered with only weak interactions in between the layers. The compound Co2TeO3Cl2 has [CoO4Cl2] and [CoO3Cl3] octahedra while Co2TeO3Br2 has [CoO2Br2] tetrahedra and [CoO4Br2] octahedra. The Te(IV) atoms are tetrahedrally [TeO3E] coordinated in both compounds taking the 5s2 lone electron pair E into account. The magnetic properties of the compounds are characterized predominantly by long-range antiferromagnetic ordering below 30 K.  相似文献

High-resolution X-ray synchrotron powder diffraction studies under high-pressure conditions are reported for the ordered double perovskite Ba2BiSbO6. Near 4 GPa, the oxide undergoes a pressure-induced phase transition. The symmetry of the material changes during the phase transition from space group to space group I2/m, which is consistent with a change in the octahedral tilting distortion from an aaa type to a0bb type using the Glazer notation. A fit of the volume-pressure data using the Birch-Murnagaham equation of state yielded a bulk modulus of 144(8) GPa for the rhombohedral phase.  相似文献

Phase transitions in MgAl2O4 were examined at 21-27 GPa and 1400-2500 °C using a multianvil apparatus. A mixture of MgO and Al2O3 corundum that are high-pressure dissociation products of MgAl2O4 spinel combines into calcium-ferrite type MgAl2O4 at 26-27 GPa and 1400-2000 °C. At temperature above 2000 °C at pressure below 25.5 GPa, a mixture of Al2O3 corundum and a new phase with Mg2Al2O5 composition is stable. The transition boundary between the two fields has a strongly negative pressure-temperature slope. Structure analysis and Rietveld refinement on the basis of the powder X-ray diffraction profile of the Mg2Al2O5 phase indicated that the phase represented a new structure type with orthorhombic symmetry (Pbam), and the lattice parameters were determined as a=9.3710(6) Å, b=12.1952(6) Å, c=2.7916(2) Å, V=319.03(3) Å3, Z=4. The structure consists of edge-sharing and corner-sharing (Mg, Al)O6 octahedra, and contains chains of edge-sharing octahedra running along the c-axis. A part of Mg atoms are accommodated in six-coordinated trigonal prism sites in tunnels surrounded by the chains of edge-sharing (Mg, Al)O6 octahedra. The structure is related with that of ludwigite (Mg, Fe2+)2(Fe3+, Al)(BO3)O2. The molar volume of the Mg2Al2O5 phase is smaller by 0.18% than sum of molar volumes of 2MgO and Al2O3 corundum. High-pressure dissociation to the mixture of corundum-type phase and the phase with ludwigite-related structure has been found only in MgAl2O4 among various A2+B3+2O4 compounds.  相似文献

The perovskite-related layered structure of La2Ti2O7 has been studied at pressures up to 30 GPa using synchrotron radiation powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman scattering. The XRD results indicate a pronounced anisotropy for the compressibility of the monoclinic unit cell. The ratio of the relative compressibilities along the [100], [010] and [001] directions is ∼1:3:5. The greatest compressibility is along the [001] direction, perpendicular to the interlayer. A pressure-induced phase transition occurs at 16.7 GPa. Both Raman and XRD measurements reveal that the pressure-induced phase transition is reversible. The high-pressure phase has a close structural relation to the low-pressure monoclinic phase and the phase transition may be due to the tilting of TiO6 octahedra at high pressures.  相似文献

Single crystals of [H3dien]·(FeF6)·H2O (I) and [H3dien]·(CrF6)·H2O (II) are obtained by solvothermal synthesis under microwave heating. I is orthorhombic (Pna21) with a=11.530(2) Å, b=6.6446(8) Å, c=13.787(3) Å, V=1056.3(2) Å3 and Z=4. II is monoclinic (P21/c) with a=13.706(1) Å, b=6.7606(6) Å, c=11.3181(9) Å, β=99.38(1)°, V=1034.7(1) Å3 and Z=4. The structure determinations, performed from single crystal X-ray diffraction data, lead to the R1/wR2 reliability factors 0.028/0.066 for I and 0.035/0.102 for II. The structures of I and II are built up from isolated FeF6 or CrF6 octahedra, water molecules and triprotonated amines. In both structures, each octahedron is connected by hydrogen bonds to six organic cations and two water molecules. The iron-based compound is also characterized by 57Fe Mössbauer spectrometry: the hyperfine structure confirms the presence of Fe3+ in octahedral coordination and reveals the existence of paramagnetic spin fluctuations.  相似文献

The organo-templated iron(III) borophosphate (C3H12N2)FeIII 6(H2O)4[B4P8O32(OH)8] was prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions (at 443 K) and the crystal structure was determined from single crystal X-ray data at 295 K (monoclinic, P21/c (No. 14), a=5.014(2) Å, b=9.309(2) Å, c=20.923(7) Å, β=110.29(2)°, V=915.9(5) Å3, Z=2, R1=0.049, wR2=0.107 for all data, 2234 observed reflections with I>2σ(I)). The title compound contains a complex inorganic framework of borophosphate trimers [BP2O8(OH)2]5− together with FeO4(OH)(H2O)- and FeO4(OH)2-octahedra forming channels with ten-membered ring apertures in which the diaminopropane cations are located. The magnetization measurements confirm the Fe(III)-state and show an antiferromagnetic ordering at TN≈14.0(1) K.  相似文献

Toward the realization of a ligand-driven light-induced spin change (LD-LISC) around room temperature, we have investigated the spin-crossover phenomenon in [Fe(stpy)4(X)2] (stpy = styrylpyridine, X = NCS, NCBH3) under high pressure. The spin transition temperature increases from 110 to 220 K with increasing applied pressure up to 0.75 GPa for [Fe(trans-stpy)4(NCS)2], while [Fe(cis-stpy)4(NCS)2] shows the high-spin state in the temperature region between 2 and 300 K even at 0.75 GPa. In the case of X = NCBH3, due to the stronger ligand field of NCBH3, the spin transition temperature increases from 240 to 360 K with increasing applied pressure up to 0.50 GPa for [Fe(trans-stpy)4(NCBH3)2]. In the case of [Fe(cis-stpy)4(NCBH3)2], the spin state is the high-spin state in the temperature region between 2 and 300 K. However, the spin transition appears at 125 K under 0.5 GPa and the transition temperature increases with increasing applied pressure. In this way, we have decided the applied pressure region of 0.65-1.09 GPa where [Fe(stpy)4(NCBH3)2] undergoes LD-LISC at room temperature.  相似文献

We have investigated the magnetic properties of iron mixed-valence complexes, (n-CnH2n+1)4N[FeIIFeIII(dto)3] (dto = C2O2S2, n = 3, 5), in which not only a ferromagnetic transition but also a novel charge transfer phase transition (CTPT) take place [1]. This CTPT can be observed under ambient pressure for n = 3, while it appears abruptly above 0.5 GPa for n = 5 [2]. Recently, we have measured the muon spin relaxation (μSR) for the CTPT of n = 3, which revealed the dynamical process of electron-transfer between FeII and FeIII and its frequency was estimated at about 0.1 MHz [3]. To investigate the pressure induced CTPT for n = 5, we carried out the μSR measurement for n = 5 at 150 K between 0.30 and 0.64 GPa with the 4He gas-operated pressure system. The asymmetry of the muon spin relaxation for n = 5 with Cu-Be pressure cell was almost constant up to 0.55 GPa, while it rapidly decreased with increasing pressure above 0.60 GPa. This result shows that the applied pressure causes the spin fluctuation due to the CTPT, which induces the decrease of the asymmetry of muon spin relaxation. This experiment can correctly decide the phase transition pressure from the absence to the appearance of the CTPT for n = 5.  相似文献

Ba4LaGe3SbSe13 was prepared by reacting the elements under exclusion of air at 700°C, followed by slow cooling to room temperature. It crystallizes in a new type of the monoclinic space group P21/c, with lattice dimensions of a=1633.30(9) pm, b=1251.15(7) pm, c=1303.21(7) pm, β=103.457(2)°, V=2590.0(2) 106 pm3 (Z=4). The structure contains isolated GeSe4 as well as Ge2Se7 digermanate units. Two of the latter are interconnected via an Sb2Se4 bridge yielding an almost linear complex anion [Ge2Se7-Sb2Se4-Ge2Se7]14−. The oxidation states are assigned to be BaII, LaIII, GeIV, SbIII, and Se−II, in accord with an electronically saturated nonmetal. The lone pair of SbIII reflects itself in highly irregular Se coordination. The red color of the material is indicative of semiconducting behavior with an activation energy of 2.0 eV. Electronic structure calculations based on the LMTO approximation point to a smaller gap, typical for this calculation method. We utilized the COHP tool to explore the bonding character of the different Sb-Se interactions.  相似文献

Phase transitions that occurred in perovskite BaPbO3 have been investigated using high-resolution time-of-flight neutron powder diffraction. The structure at room temperature is orthorhombic (space group Imma), which is derived from the cubic aristotype by tilting the PbO6 octahedra around the two-fold axis (tilt system a0bb). The orthorhombic structure shows anisotropic line broadening attributed to the presence of micro twins. At above about 573 K, BaPbO3 undergoes a discontinuous phase transition to a tetragonal structure (space group I4/mcm) with the tilting of the PbO6 octahedra being about the four-fold axis of the cubic aristotype (tilt system a0a0c). With further increasing the temperature, BaPbO3 experiences a continuous phase transition to a simple cubic structure (space group Pmm) at above about 673 K. The later phase transition is characterised by a critical exponent of β=0.36, depicted by the three-dimensional Heisenberg universality class. The earlier reported ImmaI2/m phase transition above room temperature has not been observed.  相似文献

Single crystals of the oxidephosphates TiIIITiIV3O3(PO4)3 (black), CrIII4TiIV27O24(PO4)24 (red-brown, transparent), and FeIII4TiIV27O24(PO4)24 (brown) with edge-lengths up to 0.3 mm were grown by chemical vapour transport. The crystal structures of these orthorhombic members (space group F2dd ) of the lazulite/lipscombite structure family were refined from single-crystal data [TiIIITiIV3O3(PO4)3: Z=24, a=7.3261(9) Å, b=22.166(5) Å, c=39.239(8) Å, R1=0.029, wR2=0.084, 6055 independent reflections, 301 variables; CrIII4TiIV27O24(PO4)24: Z=1, a=7.419(3) Å, b=21.640(5) Å, c=13.057(4) Å, R1=0.037, wR2=0.097, 1524 independent reflections, 111 variables; FeIII4TiIV27O24(PO4)24: Z=1, a=7.4001(9) Å, b=21.7503(2) Å, c=12.775(3) Å, R1=0.049, wR2=0.140, 1240 independent reflections, 112 variables). For TiIIITiIVO3(PO4)3 a well-ordered structure built from dimers [TiIII,IV2O9] and [TiIV,IV2O9] and phosphate tetrahedra is found. The metal sites in the crystal structures of Cr4Ti27O24(PO4)24 and Fe4Ti27O24(PO4)24, consisting of dimers [MIIITiIVO9] and [TiIV,IV2O9], monomeric [TiIVO6] octahedra, and phosphate tetrahedra, are heavily disordered. Site disorder, leading to partial occupancy of all octahedral voids of the parent lipscombite/lazulite structure, as well as splitting of the metal positions is observed. According to Guinier photographs TiIII4TiIV27O24(PO4)24 (a=7.418(2) Å, b=21.933(6) Å, c=12.948(7) Å) is isotypic to the oxidephosphates MIII4TiIV27O24(PO4)24 (MIII: Cr, Fe). The UV/vis spectrum of Cr4Ti27O24(PO4)24 reveals a rather small ligand-field splitting Δo=14,370 cm−1 and a very low nephelauxetic ratio β=0.72 for the chromophores [CrIIIO6] within the dimers [CrIIITiIVO9].  相似文献

The tetragonal orthophosphates, YbPO4 and LuPO4, were studied by in situ X-ray diffraction (XRD) at pressures up to 52 and 43 GPa, respectively. A reversible phase transition from the zircon structure-type to the scheelite structure-type was found at ∼22 GPa for YbPO4 and 19 GPa for LuPO4. Coinciding with the transition from the zircon structure-type to the scheelite structure-type, there is a ∼10% reduction in volume and a significant increase in the bulk modulus for both compounds.  相似文献

The crystal structure and stability of NaTh2F9 have been studied using thermal analysis, powder X-ray diffraction at atmospheric conditions, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction at high pressure. Sodium dithorium fluoride is stable at least up to 5.0 GPa at room temperature and to 954 K at ambient pressure. In contrast to earlier investigations, which have reported the structure to be cubic (, Z=4), we observe a tetragonal distortion of the lattice. The actual crystal structure (, Z=4) is twinned and composed of corner-sharing distorted ThF9 tricapped trigonal prisms and distorted NaF6 octahedra. The twinning element is a three-fold axis from cubic symmetry. The ThF9 polyhedra are rigid and it is the volume changes of the octahedra around the Na atoms that have the major contribution to the bulk compressibility. The zero-pressure bulk modulus B0 and the unit-cell volume at ambient pressure V0 are equal to 99(6) GPa and 663.1(1.0) Å3, respectively, with the fixed first pressure derivative of the bulk modulus B′=4.00. An inspection of the known crystalline phases in the system NaF-ThF4 reveals that their bulk moduli increase with the increasing ThF4 content.  相似文献

Application of high-pressure high-temperature conditions (3.5 GPa at 1673 K for 5 h) to mixtures of the elements (RE:B:S=1:3:6) yielded crystalline samples of the isotypic rare earth-thioborate-sulfides RE9[BS3]2[BS4]3S3, (RE=Dy-Lu), which crystallize in space group P63 (Z=2/3) and adopt the Ce6Al3.33S14 structure type. The crystal structures were refined from X-ray powder diffraction data by applying the Rietveld method. New ternary rare-earth metal boride carbides RE25B14C26 (RE=Pr, Nd) and Nd25B12C28 were synthesized by co-melting the elements. Nd25B12C28 is stable up to 1440 K. RE25B14C26 (RE=Pr, Nd) exist above 1270 K. The crystal structures were investigated by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Nd25B12C28: space group P, a=8.3209(7) Å, b=8.3231(6) Å, c=29.888(2) Å, α=83.730(9)°, β=83.294(9)°, γ=89.764(9)°. Pr25B14C26: space group P21/c, a=8.4243(5) Å, b=8.4095(6) Å, c=30.828(1) Å, β=105.879(4)°, V=2100.6(2) Å3, (R1=0.048 (wR2=0.088) from 2961 reflections with Io>2σ(Io)); for Nd25B14C26 space group P21/c, Z=2, a=8.3404(6) Å, b=8.3096(6) Å, c=30.599(2) Å, β=106.065(1)°. Their structures consist of a three-dimensional framework of rare-earth metal atoms resulting from the stacking of slightly corrugated and distorted square nets, leading to cavities filled with cumulene-like molecules [B2C4]6− and [B3C3]7−, nearly linear [BC2]5− and bent [BC2]7− units and isolated carbon atoms. Structural and theoretical analysis suggests the ionic formulation for RE25B14C26: (RE3+)25[B2C4]6−([B3C3]7−)2([BC2]5−)4([BC2]7−)2(C4−)4·5e and for Nd25B12C28: (Nd3+)25([B2C4]6−)3([BC2]5−)4([BC2]7−)2(C4−)4·7e. Accordingly, extended Hückel tight-binding calculations indicate that the compounds are metallic in character.  相似文献

The reported pressure-induced amorphization in α-NaVO3 has been re-investigated using Raman spectroscopy. Discontinuous changes are noted in the Raman spectrum above 5.6 GPa implying large structural changes across the transition. The decrease in frequency of the V-O stretching mode across the transition suggests that the vanadium atom may be in octahedral coordination in the high pressure phase. Excessive broadening of the internal modes is observed above 6 GPa. New peaks characteristic of a crystalline phase gain in intensity at higher pressures in the bending modes region; however, the transformation is not complete even at 13 GPa. Co-existence of phases is noted over a significant pressure range above the onset of transition. Pressure released spectrum is found to be a mixture of crystalline α-phase, traces of crystalline β-phase and highly disordered phase consisting of V-O units in five- and six-fold coordination.  相似文献

The new titanium borate was synthesized under high-pressure/high-temperature conditions in a Walker-type multianvil apparatus at 7.5 GPa and 1350 °C. Ti5B12O26 is built up exclusively from corner-sharing BO4-tetrahedra and shows a structural relation to the Zintl phase NaTl. Consisting of B12O26-clusters as fundamental building blocks, the structure of Ti5B12O26 can be described via two interpenetrating diamond structures as in NaTl, where each atom corresponds to one B12O26-cluster. The tetragonal titanium borate crystallizes with eight formula units in the space group I41/acd and exhibits lattice parameters of a=1121.1(2) pm and c=2211.5(4) pm. Ti5B12O26 is a mixed-valent compound with TiIII and TiIV cations. The environment of the titanium cations, as well as charge distribution calculations, leads us to the assumption that TiIII and TiIV are located on different crystallographic sites.  相似文献

The first RuIII-supported tungstoantimonate [RuII(bpy)3]2[Sb2W20RuIII2(H2O)2(dmso)6O68]·3dmso (bpy=bi-pyridine) (1a) has been successfully isolated as [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (Rubpy) salt by routine synthetic reaction in mixed solutions with dmso and water. Single-crystal X-ray analysis was carried out on 1a, which crystallizes in the triclinic system space group P-1 with a=16.804 (6), b=16.988 (6), c=17.666 (6) Å, α=107.397 (13)°, β=106.883 (13)°, γ=103.616 (12)°. V=4309 (3) Å3, Z=1 with R1=0.0773. The compound 1a reveals the following features: (1) Rubpy is firstly used as an alternative ruthenium-source for the synthesis of Ru-substituted heteropolytungstate; (2) the structure of 1a consists of four RuIII-O-S(CH3)2 and two W-O-S(CH3)2 bonds resulting in an assembly with C2 symmetry; (3) the RuIII ions are linked to two dmso groups via two RuIII-O-S(CH3)2 bonds, which represents the other dmso-coordination mode to RuIII in POM chemistry. The cyclic voltammetry studies of 1a in dmso/H2SO4 (3/1 v/v) at pH 2.5 medium using the glassy carbon electrode as a working electrode show the respective electrochemical behaviors of the W-centers and the Ru-centers within 1a, which could be separated clearly. In addition, the compound 1a exhibits photoluminescence arising from π*−t2g ligand-to-metal transition of Rubpy.  相似文献

The ternary antimonide CeNiSb3 has been prepared from an Sb flux or from reaction of Ce, NiSb, and Sb above 1123 K. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbcm with Z=12 and lattice parameters a=12.6340(7) Å, b=6.2037(3) Å, and c=18.3698(9) Å at 193 K. Its structure consists of buckled square nets of Sb atoms and layers of highly distorted edge- and face-sharing NiSb6 octahedra. Located between the 2[Sb] and 2[NiSb2] layers are the Ce atoms, in monocapped square antiprismatic coordination. There is an extensive network of Sb-Sb bonding with distances varying between 3.0 and 3.4 Å. The structure is related to that of RECrSb3 but with a different stacking of the metal-centered octahedra. Resistivity measurements reveal a shallow minimum near 25 K that is suggestive of Kondo lattice behavior, followed by a sharp decrease below 6 K.  相似文献
