Directional antenna offers a variety of benefits for wireless networks, one of which is the increased spatial reuse ratio. This feature gives rise to the improved throughput in resource limited wireless ad hoc networks. In this paper, we formulate the maximum flow problem as an optimization problem in wireless ad hoc networks with switched beam directional antennas constrained by interference. We demonstrate how to solve this optimization problem. It turns out that the proposed method works for both single beam antenna and multi-beam antenna, with minor variation of the constraints.  相似文献

A novel method based on the memetic algorithm for the design of multiple interference cancellations of a linear array antenna by phase-amplitude perturbations is proposed. The adaptive array antenna is capable of sensing the presence of interference sources and suppressing the interferences in the interfering directions. This technique can increase the signal-to-interference ratio. The memetic algorithm is applied to find the weighting vector which makes the pattern nulling optimization of the proposed adaptive antenna. This technique is also able to do the cancellation of multiple interferences for different incident directions.  相似文献

In a rapidly evolving economic world, projects become tools to support organization goals. Project portfolio is set of all projects that are implemented in the organisation at a time. Possible projects are characterized by sets of inputs and outputs, where inputs are resources for project realisation and outputs measure multiple goals of the organisation. The data envelopment analysis (DEA) is an appropriate approach to select efficient projects. The organisation has its total resources in limited quantities. Designing a portfolio of efficient projects not exceeding the limited resources does not always lead to the most efficient portfolio. De Novo optimisation is an approach for designing optimal systems by reshaping the feasible set. The paper proposes a new approach for project portfolio designing based on a systemic combination of DEA model and De Novo optimisation approach. A total available budget is a restriction on project portfolio. The proposed concept provides designing of optimal project portfolio with the minimal budget. Performance measures of the designed project portfolio are the efficiency of the portfolio and the effectiveness of outputs. Possible extensions of the concept are formulated and discussed.  相似文献

This paper considers the bilinear minimax control problem of an important class of parabolic systems with Robin boundary conditions. Such systems are linear on state variables when the control and disturbance are fixed, and linear on the control or disturbance when the state variables are fixed. The objective is to maintain target state variables by taking account the influence of noises in data, while a desired power level and adjustment costs are taken into consideration. Firstly we introduce some classes of bilinear systems and obtain the existence and the uniqueness of the solution, as well as stability under mild assumptions. Afterwards the minimax control problem is formulated. We show the existence of an optimal solution, and we also find necessary optimality conditions. Finally, to illustrate the abstract results, we present two examples of neutron fission systems.  相似文献

The design of nonuniformly spaced linear array antennas using Particle Swarm Optimization method is considered. The purpose is to match a desired radiation pattern and improve the performance of these arrays in terms of sidelobe level. This performance criterion determines how well the system is suitable for wireless communication applications and interference reduction. Two approaches are considered: in the first, the design of element placement with the constraint of array length being imposed is performed. The second is based on element position perturbation starting from a uniform element distribution. Many examples are treated to show the effectiveness of the designs and the effect some other parameters might have on the overall performance of the array.  相似文献

We measure eco-efficiency of an economy by means of an augmented Leontief input–output model extended by constraints for primary inputs. Using a multi-objective optimisation model the eco-efficiency frontier of the economy is generated. The results of these multi-objective optimisation problems define eco-efficient virtual decision making units (DMUs). The eco-efficiency is obtained as a solution of a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model with virtual DMUs defining the potential and a DMU describing the actual performance of the economy. This procedure is then extended to an intertemporal approach in the spirit of the Luenberger productivity indicator. This indicator permits decomposing eco-productivity change into eco-efficiency change and eco-technical change. The indicator is then further decompounded in a way that enables us to examine the contributions of individual production factors, undesirable as well as desirable outputs to eco-productivity change over time. For illustration purposes the proposed model is applied to investigate eco-productivity growth of the Austrian economy.  相似文献

Two types of conformal load-bearing antenna structures (CLAS) were designed with microwave composite laminates and Nomex honeycomb cores to secure both the structural rigidity and a good electrical performance. One was a 4 × 8 array for the synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) system and the other was a 5 × 2 array for the wireless local-area network (LAN) system. The design was based on a wide bandwidth, high polarization purity, low losses, and high structural rigidity. The design, fabrication, and structural/electrical performances of the antenna structures were studied. Their flexural behavior was examined by three-point bending, impact, and buckling tests. The electrical measurements were in a good agreement with simulation results. The complex antenna structures obtained have good flexural characteristics. The design of this antenna structure is extended to give a useful guide for sandwich panel manufacturers as well as antenna designers.  相似文献

Inverse data envelopment analysis (InDEA) is a well-known approach for short-term forecasting of a given decision-making unit (DMU). The conventional InDEA models use the production possibility set (PPS) that is composed of an evaluated DMU with current inputs and outputs. In this paper, we replace the fluctuated DMU with a modified DMU involving renewal inputs and outputs in the PPS since the DMU with current data cannot be allowed to establish the new PPS. Besides, the classical DEA models such as InDEA are assumed to consider perfect knowledge of the input and output values but in numerous situations, this assumption may not be realistic. The observed values of the data in these situations can sometimes be defined as interval numbers instead of crisp numbers. Here, we extend the InDEA model to interval data for evaluating the relative efficiency of DMUs. The proposed models determine the lower and upper bounds of the inputs of a given DMU separately when its interval outputs are changed in the performance analysis process. We aim to remain the current interval efficiency of a considered DMU and the interval efficiencies of the remaining DMUs fixed or even improve compared with the current interval efficiencies.  相似文献

The paper investigates the motion planning of a suspended service robot platform equipped with ducted fan actuators. The platform consists of an RRT robot and a cable suspended swinging actuator that form a subsequent parallel kinematic chain and it is equipped with ducted fan actuators. In spite of the complementary ducted fan actuators, the system is under-actuated. The method of computed torques is applied to control the motion of the robot.The under-actuated systems have less control inputs than degrees of freedom. We assume that the investigated under-actuated system has desired outputs of the same number as inputs. In spite of the fact that the inverse dynamical calculation leads to the solution of a system of differential–algebraic equations (DAE), the desired control inputs can be determined uniquely by the method of computed torques.We use natural (Cartesian) coordinates to describe the configuration of the robot, while a set of algebraic equations represents the geometric constraints. In this modeling approach the mathematical model of the dynamical system itself is also a DAE.The paper discusses the inverse dynamics problem of the complex hybrid robotic system. The results include the desired actuator forces as well as the nominal coordinates corresponding to the desired motion of the carried payload. The method of computed torque control with a PD controller is applied to under-actuated systems described by natural coordinates, while the inverse dynamics is solved via the backward Euler discretization of the DAE system for which a general formalism is proposed. The results are compared with the closed form results obtained by simplified models of the system. Numerical simulation and experiments demonstrate the applicability of the presented concepts.  相似文献

The common fixed cost or revenue distribution amongst decision making units (briefly, DMUs) in an equitable way is one of the problems that can be solved by data envelopment analysis (DEA) concept. The motivation of this paper is common fixed cost or revenue allocation based on following three principles: First, allocation must be directly proportional to the elements (inputs and outputs) that are directly proportional to imposed common fixed cost or to obtained common fixed revenue. Second, allocation must be inversely proportional to the elements that are inversely proportional to common fixed cost or revenue. Finally, the elements that have no effect on common fixed cost or revenue must have no effect on allocation as well.  相似文献

The current paper focuses on a multiobjective linear programming problem with interval objective functions coefficients. Taking into account the minimax regret criterion, an attempt is being made to propose a new solution i.e. minimax regret solution. With respect to its properties, a minimax regret solution is necessarily ideal when a necessarily ideal solution exists; otherwise it is still considered a possibly weak efficient solution. In order to obtain a minimax regret solution, an algorithm based on a relaxation procedure is suggested. A numerical example demonstrates the validity and strengths of the proposed algorithm. Finally, two special cases are investigated: the minimax regret solution for fixed objective functions coefficients as well as the minimax regret solution with a reference point. Some of the characteristic features of both cases are highlighted thereafter.  相似文献

In 1999, Li and Reeves presented the so-called MCDEA (Multiple Criteria Data Envelopment Analysis) model. This model is in fact a three objective linear model. It may be used to improve the discriminatory power of the DEA models, as well as generate a more reasonable distribution of the inputs and outputs weights. Besides the classical optimization of the efficiency index, Li and Reeves introduced two other objective functions, called minisum and minimax. Despite of being an important approach, it does not provide benchmarks or targets for inefficient DMUs. Benchmarks and targets are one of the most important DEA features and in standard DEA are determined using the dual (envelope) model. In this paper, we introduce an approach of the MCDEA dual formulation taking into account only two objective functions at each time. Combining both partial models we suggest benchmarks for each inefficient DMU.  相似文献

We improve the efficiency interval of a DMU by adjusting its given inputs and outputs. The Interval DEA model has been formulated to obtain an efficiency interval consisting of evaluations from both the optimistic and pessimistic viewpoints. DMUs which are not rated as efficient in the conventional sense are improved so that their lower bounds become as large as possible under the condition that their upper bounds attain the maximum value one. The adjusted inputs and outputs keep each other balanced by improving the lower bound of efficiency interval, since the lower bound becomes small if all the inputs and outputs are not proportioned. In order to improve the lower bound of efficiency interval, different target points are defined for different DMUs. The target point can be regarded as a kind of benchmark for the DMU. First, a new approach to improvement by adjusting only outputs or inputs is proposed. Then, the combined approach to improvement by adjusting both inputs and outputs simultaneously is proposed. Lastly, numerical examples are shown to illustrate our proposed approaches.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an optimal zero-forcing beamformer design problem in multi-user multiple-input multiple-output broadcast channel. The minimum user rate is maximized subject to zero-forcing constraints and power constraint on each base station antenna array element. The natural formulation leads to a nonconvex optimization problem. This problem is shown to be equivalent to a convex optimization problem with linear objective function, linear equality and inequality constraints and quadratic inequality constraints. Here, the indirect elimination method is applied to reduce the convex optimization problem into an equivalent convex optimization problem of lower dimension with only inequality constraints. The primal-dual interior point method is utilized to develop an effective algorithm (in terms of computational efficiency) via solving the modified KKT equations with Newton method. Numerical simulations are carried out. Compared to algorithms based on a trust region interior point method and sequential quadratic programming method, it is observed that the method proposed is much superior in terms of computational efficiency.  相似文献

Discretionary models of data envelopment analysis (DEA) assume that all inputs and outputs can be varied at the discretion of management or other users. In any realistic situation, however, there may exist “exogenously fixed” or non-discretionary factors that are beyond the control of a DMU’s management, which also need to be considered. This paper discusses and reviews the use of super-efficiency approach in data envelopment analysis (DEA) sensitivity analyses when some inputs are exogenously fixed. Super-efficiency data envelopment analysis (DEA) model is obtained when a decision making unit (DMU) under evaluation is excluded from the reference set. In this paper by means of modified Banker and Morey’s (BM hereafter) model [R.D. Banker, R. Morey, Efficiency analysis for exogenously fixed inputs and outputs, Operations Research 34 (1986) 513–521], in which the test DMU is excluded from the reference set, we are able to determine what perturbations of discretionary data can be tolerated before frontier DMUs become nonfrontier.  相似文献

One method for improving wireless network throughput involves using directional antennas to increase signal gain and/or decrease interference. The physical layer models used in current networking simulators only minimally address the interaction of directional antennas and radio propagation. This paper compares the models found in popular simulation tools with measurements taken across a variety of links in multiple environments. We find that the effects of antenna direction are significantly different from those predicted by the models used in the common wireless network simulators. We propose a parametric model that better captures the effects of different propagation environments on directional antenna systems; we also show that the derived models are sensitive to both the direction of signal gain and the environment in which the antenna is used.  相似文献

All public sector organisations in the UK have witnessed changes in funding arrangements during the 1980s as part of the Government's drive to make them more accountable to the tax-payer. The development of performance indicators is seen as an essential step to ensure that such organisations provide value for money. This paper examines the possibility of constructing measures of the performance of UK universities. A methodology is developed in the framework of production theory and uses multiple regression techniques to estimate the relationship between the outputs and inputs of universities. Around 80% of the inter-university variation in four output measures can be explained by corresponding variations in several input measures. This highlights the need to take into account the inputs available to a university when comparing its output performance with that achieved by other institutions. The problems of interpreting an array of performance indicators are also clearly demonstrated.  相似文献

In this article we propose to partially integrate the antenna positioning (APP) and frequency allocation problems (FAP). The traditional wireless network design process examines these two major issues sequentially in order to avoid the very high complexity associated with the simultaneous resolution of the two problems. The proposed integration involves the introduction of interference protection guarantees within the APP. It is customary to define such guarantees in an intermediate step and to use them as input to FAP, in order to protect against interference in critical areas. The proposed approach consists of selecting these protections while solving the APP, allowing the optimization procedure to exploit the degrees of freedom that this would offer. Results on two real-life problem instances indicate a significant improvement in interference levels and resource utilization.  相似文献

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) and multiple objective linear programming (MOLP) can be used as tools in management control and planning. The existing models have been established during the investigation of the relations between the output-oriented dual DEA model and the minimax reference point formulations, namely the super-ideal point model, the ideal point model and the shortest distance model. Through these models, the decision makers’ preferences are considered by interactive trade-off analysis procedures in multiple objective linear programming. These models only consider the output-oriented dual DEA model, which is a radial model that focuses more on output increase. In this paper, we improve those models to obtain models that address both inputs and outputs. Our main aim is to decrease total input consumption and increase total output production which results in solving one mathematical programming model instead of n models. Numerical illustration is provided to show some advantages of our method over the previous methods.  相似文献
