A series of binuclear CuII complexes [Cu2XL]
n+ having two copper(II) ions bridged by different motifs (X = OH–, MeCO2
–, or Cl–) have been prepared using the ligands: H2L1 = 4-methyl-2-[N-(2-{dimethylamino}ethyl-N-methyl)aminomethyl]-6-[(prolin-1-yl)methyl]phenol, H2L2 = 4-nitro-2-[N-(2-{dimethylamino}ethyl-N-methyl)aminomethyl]-6-[(prolin-1-yl)methyl]phenol, H2L3 = 4-methyl-2-[N-(2-{diethylamino}ethyl-N-ethyl)aminomethyl]-6-[(prolin-1-yl)methyl]phenol and H2L4 = 4-nitro-2-[N-(2-{diethylamino}ethyl-N-ethyl)aminomethyl]-6-[(prolin-1-yl)methyl]phenol. The complexes have been characterized by spectroscopic, analytical, magnetic and electrochemical measurements. Cryomagnetic investigations (80–300 K) revealed anti-ferromagnetic exchange between the CuII ions (–2J in the range –50 to –182 cm–1). The strength of anti-ferromagnetic coupling lies in the order: OAc > OH > Cl. Cyclic voltammetry revealed the presence of two redox couples, assigned to CuII/CuII/CuII/CuI/CuI/CuI. The first reduction potential is sensitive to electronic effects from the aromatic ring substituents and steric effect on the donor nitrogens (side arm) of the ligand systems. 相似文献

The preparation and spectroscopic study of three homobinuclear complexes of Cu(II) with dithioterephthalic bisanion. DTTA, formulated as [(μ-DTTA)Cu2(am)2](ClO4)2, where am=aromatic diamine, is discussed. The instability of the compounds and the results of the spectral studies are in support of a polymeric structure with a local planar CuN2S2 chromophore. 相似文献

Ruthenium(II) complexes of the general formula [Ru(PPh3)2(L)(L)]ClO4 [L=2,2-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline;L=2-hydroxy--4-X-phenylcinnamoylacetophenone] have been prepared by reacting L and L with Ru(PPh3)3Cl2 in CH2Cl2. The complexes are diamagnetic and absorb intensely in the visible region, owing to the MLCT transition. Hexacoordinated ruthenium(III) complexes, [RuCl2(PPh3)2(L)], have also been prepared by reacting Ru(PPh3)3Cl3 with -diketones. Solutions of ruthenium(III) complexes show rhombic e.s.r. spectra at 77 K, and distortion from the octahedral symmetry has been identified from the line spacings. The conjugation in diketones favours reversibility in RuII/III and RuIII/IV and stabilize ruthenium in different oxidation states owing to d–* interaction. Oxovanadyl(IV) complexes of the -diketones with a metal-to-ligand ratio of 1:2 and square pyramidal geometry were also prepared. The e.s.r spectra of these complexes show the presence of an unpaired electron in the dxy orbital and the hyperfine splitting constants are sensitive to solvent change. ¶ A new class of highly conjugated Schiff bases obtained from the above diketones and 2-aminothiophenol behave as dibasic, tridentate ligands in their copper(II) complexes. The subnormal magnetic moments and hyperfine splittings of these complexes are ascribed to an antiferromagnetic exchange interaction arising from dimerization. Cyclic voltammograms show that the electron transfer occurs in two steps corresponding to CuII–CuI and CuI–CuI redox states. 相似文献

The synthesis and structure of binuclear copper(II) complexes with acyldihydrazones of some β-diketones are described. The molecular structure of the copper(II) complex [Cu2L·4Py] with trifluoroacetylacetone succinyldihydrazone (H4L) was determined by the single-crystal X-ray analysis. Central atoms are bridged by a chain of seven σ-bonds with a Cu...Cu distance of 8.750 Å. EPR spectra of copper(II) complexes with acyldihydrazones of trifluoroacetylacetone and lower dicarboxylic acids containing from one to four methylene groups in the aliphatic spacer show the seven-line HFS due to spin-spin coupling of unpaired electrons with the two equivalent copper nuclei (g = 2.110, a = (38.5–40.5)⊙10?4 cm?1). By extending polymethylene spacer, as well as by modifying starting β-diketone, an exchange interaction between paramagnetic centers is suppressed. 相似文献

At room temperature, dibenzoyl peroxide undergoes oxidative addition reaction with metallic copper powder and pyridine N-oxide (triphenylphosphine oxide or 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin) which affords the last products as binuclear copper(II) complexes, [Cu(C5H5NO)-(C6H5COO)2]2(1), [Cu(OPPh3)(C6H5COO)2]2(2) and [Cu(C6H5COO)(C26H2oN2)](3, C26H2oN2 is 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin). The structure of the complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, TG-DTA and magnetic property. Crystals(1) are triclinic, space group P1,a=0.92617(36),b=1.06973(17), c=1.08813(29) nm, a=59.60(2)°, β=74.83(3)°,γ=72.80(2)°, V=0.880 nm3, Dc=1.520 g/cm3, Z=1, R=0.044, Rw=0.048, Mr=805.78, 3477 reflections with I > 3σ(I). Each copper(Ⅱ) ion is coordinated by two bridging bidentate benzoate ligands and one pyridine N-oxide or triphenylphosphine oxide to form dimeric binuclear molecules. The structure of the compound(1) shows a clear centre of symmetry. 相似文献

Di-μ-hydroxo-bridged di-copper(II) complexes in aprotic media exhibit chemical properties in the oxidation reaction by molecular oxygen. Three oxidation reactions can occur without a base: oxidation of aldehydes into the corresponding acids, oxidative degradation of some carbonyl compounds into their lower homologues, and oxidative dimerisation of phenol. With a base a fourth reaction is observed: the dehydrogenation of alcohols into carbonyl compounds. Ligands, solvent and substrate structure effects are discussed. 相似文献

New binuclear complexes of the type [(Ni(Medpt)NO3)2ox] (1) (Medpt=3,3′-diamino-N-methyl-dipropylamine, H2ox=oxalic acid), [(Ni(dach)2)2ox]NO3·2H2O (2) (dach=trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane), [(Cu(Medpt))2ox]X2·yH2O (X=NO3, y=2 2/3 (3); X=ClO4, y=0 (4)) and [(Zn(dach)2)2ox](ClO4)2·2H2O (5) have been prepared and characterized by IR and UV–Vis spectroscopies. Spectroscopic data are consistent with oxalate-bridged structures between six-coordinated (N3O3 or N4O2) Ni(II) (compounds 1 or 2), five-coordinated (N3O2) Cu(II) (compounds 3 and 4) or six-coordinated (N4O2) Zn(II) (compound 5). The crystal structure of [(Cu(Medpt))2ox](NO3)2·2 2/3 H2O (3) has been determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The structure of (3) consists of centrosymmetric binuclear cations [(Medpt)Cu(ox)Cu(Medpt)]2+, nitrate anions and water molecules of crystallization. The copper atom is five-coordinated by two oxalate–oxygen and three Medpt–nitrogen atoms, in a hybrid arrangement between trigonal–bipyramidal and square–pyramidal. The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility (1.8–300 K) was measured for compounds 1–4. Magnetochemical measurements show that Ni(II) complexes are antiferromagnetically coupled, J=−29.4 (1) and −32.7 cm−1 (2) (H=−JS1S2) while the Cu(II) complexes present a very weak coupling, J=−2.6 (3) and +1.9 cm−1 (4), being antiferro- and ferromagnetic in nature. 相似文献

A new series of copper(II) mononuclear and copper(II)–metal(II) binuclear complexes [(H2L)Cu] ? H2O, [CuLM] ? nH2O, and [Cu(H2L)M(OAc)2] ? nH2O, n = 1–2, M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), or Zn(II), and L is the anion of dipyridylglyoxal bis(2-hydroxybenzoyl hydrazone), H4L, were synthesized and characterized. Elemental analyses, molar conductivities, and FT-IR spectra support the formulation of these complexes. IR data suggest that H4L is dibasic tetradentate in [(H2L)Cu] ? H2O and [Cu(H2L)M(OAc)2] ? nH2O but tetrabasic hexadentate in [CuLM] ? nH2O (n = 1–2). Thermal studies indicate that waters are of crystallization and the complexes are thermally stable to 347–402°C depending upon the nature of the complex. Magnetic moment values indicate magnetic exchange interaction between Cu(II) and M(II) centers in binuclear complexes. The electronic spectral data show that d–d transitions of CuN2O2 in the mononuclear complex are blue shifted in binuclear complexes in the sequences: Cu–Cu > Cu–Ni > Cu–Co > Cu–Zn, suggesting that the binuclear complexes [CuLM] ? nH2O are more planar than the mononuclear complex. The structures of complexes were optimized through molecular mechanics applying MM +force field coupled with molecular dynamics simulation. [(H2L)Cu] ? nH2O, [CuLM] ? nH2O, and the free ligand were screened for antimicrobial activities on some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial species. The free ligand is inactive against all studied bacteria. The screening data showed that [CuLCu] ? H2O > [(H2L)Cu] ? H2O > [CuLZn] ? H2O > [CuLNi] ? 2H2O ≈ [CuLCo] ? H2O in order of biological activity. The data are discussed in terms of their compositions and structures. 相似文献

Two new binuclear copper(II) complexes, Cu(tacn)Cu(oxpn)(ClO4)2·C2H5OH (1), and Cu(tacn)Cu(oxap)(ClO4)2·CH3OH (2), have been prepared from the planar fragment Cu(oxpn) and Cu(oxap) (tacn denotes 1,4,7-triazacyclononane, oxpn and oxap stand for the dianions of N,N′-bis(3-aminopropyl)oxamide, and N,N′-bis(2-aminopropyl)oxamide, respectively). The complexes have been characterized by means of elemental analyses and IR, and UV spectra. The crystal structure of compound 1 shows that copper(II) coordinates to the four nitrogen atoms of oxpn in a square-planar environment and the other copper(II) ion is in a distorted square-pyramidal environment. 相似文献

In the structure of the title compound, [Cu(C4O4)(C4H4N2)]n, each copper cation is surrounded by three squarate (3,4-dihydroxy-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dioate) anions and two pyrazine ligands, all of which are located in special positions. The copper cation and all atoms of the squarate anion are located on a mirror plane, whereas the pyrazine ligand is located around a mirror plane which is perpendicular to the ring plane. The cations are connected via the squarate anions and the pyrazine ligands, forming sheets parallel to (001). 相似文献

Four enol-form binuclear copper complexes with different exogenous bridges, [Cu2(L)(μ-Cl)] (1), [Cu(L)(μ-N3)]· DMF (2), [Cu2(L)(μ-OCH3)] (3) and [Cu2(L)(μ-C3H3N2)]· 1/2C2H5OH (4), where L is the trivalence anion of binucleating ligand 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol di(tenzoylhydrazone), have been synthesized and characterized. Crystal data for complex (3) are as follows: space group P1- , a=0.8294(1), 6=0.9333(3), c= 1.473 6(6) nm, α=79.51(3)°, β=80.93(2)°,γ=81.32(2)°, Z=1. The magnetic measurements indicated that the effect of exogenous bridging ligands on magnetic interaction is corresponding to that in spectrochemical series. The effect of enol- and keto-form tautomer on magnetic interaction was explained from the point of view of structural factors and electron effects by using molecular mechanks and quantum chemistry calculations. 相似文献

Four new ternary complexes of CuII with l-methionine and the nucleotides 5AMP (adenosine 5-phosphate), 5GMP (guanosine 5-phosphate) and 5IMP (inosine 5-phosphate), and with l-tryptophan and 5AMP, were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and i.r. spectroscopy. One ternary complex of NII with l-cysteine and 5IMP was also prepared and characterized. The study of the three ternary compounds of CuII, of general formulae Cu-5NMP-l-methionine, indicates coordination of the phosphate group and of N(7) of the purinic ring. l-Methionine is bound by the carboxylic and amino groups. The ternary complex obtained from a mixture of Cu-5AMP and l-tryptophan is a dimer in which the nucleotide bridges the two copper atoms. In the complex of Ni-5IMP and l-cysteine, the nucleotide seems to bind the metal through the N(7) of the heterocyclic ring, and the l-cysteine is coordinated as a bidentate chelate by the carboxyl and thiol groups. E.s.r. spectra of the copper complexes are in good agreement with the low symmetry structure proposed. The one-electron reduction potentials Ec(Fc+/Fc) (V) of CuII to CuI were established for the four copper complexes from cyclic voltammetry studies. The one-electron oxidation potential Ea(Fc+/Fc+) (V) of NiII to NiIII was also measured for the nickel complex. 相似文献

The complexes [Cu(biq)2]Cl2 and [Cu(biq)2]BF4·biq (biq?=?2,2′-biquinoline) have been prepared and characterized. The interconversion to copper(I) complex [Cu(biq)2]BF4·biq, from [Cu(biq)2]Cl2 has been established. The new complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity and magnetic measurements, IR, UV-vis and 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. The X-ray analysis of the complex [Cu(biq)2]BF4·biq supports the assumption of the interconversion of copper(II) to copper(I) in this case. The crystal structure shows that geometry around the metal is severely distorted from Td, and displays many supramolecular motifs incorporating both hydrophobic (aryl···aryl) and hydrophilic (C–H···F) intermolecular interactions. The microbiological activity of the complexes against bacteria and fungi was found to be high against Candida albicans, and slight to moderate against bacteria. The antimicrobial activity of [Cu(biq)2]BF4·biq was slightly better than that observed for [Cu(biq)2]Cl2 against both bacteria and fungi. 相似文献

A new asymmetric N,N′-bis(substituent)oxamide ligand, N-phenolato-N′-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)oxamide (H3pdmapo), and two of its binuclear Cu(II) complexes with different terminal ligands, namely [Cu2(pdmapo)(phen)(H2O)](ClO4) (1) and [Cu2(pdmapo)(bpy)(CH3OH)](ClO4) (2), where phen = 1,10-phenanthroline and bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, have been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structures of both complexes have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both structures contain binuclear Cu(II) cationic complexes with pdmapo3? ligands. The asymmetric pdmapo3? ligands bridge two Cu(II) atoms in the cis conformation and the Cu···Cu separations through the oxamide bridge are 5.2046(18) and 5.207(2) Å for complexes 1 and 2, respectively. The coordination environments of the two Cu(II) atoms in each binuclear complex are different. The copper occupying the inner site of the pdmapo3? ligand is four-coordinated in a CuN3O distorted square-planar environment, while the other is five-coordinated in a square pyramid geometry. In complex 1, O–H···O and C–H···O hydrogen bonds link the complex into a one-dimensional chain. In complex 2, O–H···O hydrogen bonds link the molecules to form a dimer, together with two types of strong π–π interactions, giving a two-dimensional network structure. The cytotoxicities and DNA-binding properties of H3pdmapo and the two complexes were studied. The experimental evidence suggests that the ligand binds to DNA via a groove binding mode, while the binuclear complexes bind intercalatively to DNA. 相似文献

In the study of temperature dependence of stability constants of copper(II) complexes with N-benzyl-l-proline and N-benzyl-dl-proline it has been shown that the enantioselectivity in the given system (preference to the formation of meso-structure [Cu(d)(l)]) is caused by large entropy gain which is attended by the replacement of four molecules of water during complexation of d-shaped ligand to the monocomplex [Cu(L)(H2O)4] of the l-ligand. 相似文献

The DNA-binding behaviors of the fluorescein?Cporphyrinatozinc(II) complex Zn(Fl-PPTPP) (Fl-PPTPP?=?5-(4-fluoresceinpropyloxy)phenyl-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin) and fluorescein?Cporphyrinatocopper(II) complex Cu(Fl-PPTPP) with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) were investigated by UV?CVis absorption titrations, fluorescence spectra, viscosity measurements, thermal denaturation and circular dichroism. The results suggest that both complexes interact with CT-DNA by intercalation. In addition, their photocleavage reactions with pBR322 supercoiled plasmid DNA were investigated. Both complexes exhibit significant DNA cleavage activity, and singlet oxygen may play an important role in these reactions. 相似文献

Summary The binuclear metal complexes [Cu(sampn)Co(L)2] (L=bipy, phen), have been prepared by the reaction of sodiumN,N-1,2-propanedisalicylamidatocuprate(II) heptahydrate, Na2[Cu(sampn)] 7H2O, with a divalent metalion, and 2,2-bipyridine or 1, 10-phenathroline. The complexes were characterized by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements; the results indicate that a weak antiferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction operates between the metal ions. 相似文献

The syntheses and magnetic properties are reported for a series of copper(Ⅱ) complexes prepared from a pentadentate binucleating ligand 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol di(benzoyl-hydrazone) (H3L). These complexes incorporate different exogenous ions (X-) into a bridging position to form copper(Ⅱ) binuclear complexes of the formula [Cu2(H2L)X]2+, where X-= Br-(1), Cl-(2), HO-(3), C2H5O-(4) and C3H3N2- (5). The complexes have been characterized with variable temperature magnetic susceptibility (4.2-300 K) and the observed data were fit to those from a modified Bleaney-Bowers equation by least-squares method, giving the exchange integral 2J = -6.2 cm-1 for 1, -76.4 cm-1 for 2, -241.9 cm-1 for 3, -231.1 cm-1 for 4 and -343.8 cm-1 for 5. This suggested that there is an antiferromagnetic interaction between the Cu(Ⅱ) ions and the sequence of the effect of some exogenous bridging ligands on magnetic coupling is corresponding to that in spectrochemical series. 相似文献
