The influence of weak ultra-violet irradiation on the brightness waves of electroluminescence is investigated for two types of ZnS-Cuphosphors. The observed effects (increase in brightness in the primary peak and its phase shift, the disappearance of the secondary peak) are explained on the basis of present-day conceptions on electroluminescence.

Conclusion The joint efforts of the laboratories with intermediate energies accelerators at ANL, KEK, LANL, LNPI, Saclay, SIN and TRIUMF produced a rather definite picture of the +pp reaction in the isobar region. However the problem of anomalies for the square-root branch point due to the production of isobar in the intermediate state have not been resolved so far. The poles obtained in different phenomenological analyses could be just the effective parametrization of these cuts (see e.g. [13]). Anyway, some singularities are definitely necessary to describe the data.The experimental data in regions s < 2·05 GeV and s < 2·25 GeV are clearly insufficient. Further accumulation of the data in these regions is necessary. Polarized deuteron data are badly needed in the whole kinematical range [13]. Besides as it was mentioned before it is necessary to measure accurately cross sections of other inelastic reactions which are important for the investigation (observation?) of dibaryonsNN N, NN andd N, NN [21]. It would be of interest also to measure cross sections of non quasi two-particle channels likeNN N, 2N andd N, 2N [22]. (In the case ofNN scattering quasi two-particle channels are known to dominate in a wide energy range.)Presented at the symposium Mesons and Light Nuclei, Bechyn, Czechoslovakia, May 27–June 1, 1985.I am grateful to L. The changes in domain structure as a function of the thickness of the crystal are studied on artificial magnetoplumbite crystals. The thickness dependence of the width of the domains is also studied; up to thicknesses of about 10 it follows the theoretical halfpower law. Above 10 the exponent is 0·633. The energy density of the Bloch walls=4·82 erg cm–2 and the exchange constantA=0·66×10–6 erg cm–1 are calculated on the basis of the above measurements.

Zusammenfassung Im vorliegenden Artikel wird die Durchlässigkeit eines beliebigen Systems homogener oder inhomogener Schichten mit beliebiger Leitfähigkeit bei senkrechtem Einfall einer elektromagnetischen Welle untersucht. Es wird bewiesen, da\ das Verhältnis der Durch-lässigkeiten beim Auftreffen der Welle von der einen und von der anderen Seite lediglich von den Leitfähigkeiten der Medien auf beiden Seiten des Systems abhängt. Falls die Leitfähigkeiten beider Medien gleich sind, sind auch die Durchlässigkeiten in beiden Richtungen gleich.

A method is suggested for the derivation of finite-size corrections in the thermodynamic functions of systems with pair interaction potential decaying at large distancesr asr d , whered is the space dimensionality and>0. It allows for a unified treatment of short-range (=2) and long-range (<2) interaction. The asymptotic analysis is illustrated by the mean spherical model of general geometryL d–d× d subject to periodic boundary conditions. The Fisher-Privman equation of state is generalized to arbitrary real values ofd, 0d. It is shown that the-expansion may be used to study the breakdown of standard finite-size scaling at the borderline dimensionalities.  相似文献

Using wave functions determined from ground-state local-density calculations, we have calculated the wave-dispersed free response of the optical nonlinear polarizability (3)(–3;,,), for the C60 molecule and (3)(–3;,,) i.e. Third-Harmonic Generation (THG) for films using a sum-over-states approach. The influence of screening was determined by applying an external static electric field in separate selfconsistent calculations to evaluate induced dipole moments which was used to determine the static linear and nonlinear polarizabilities. The polarizabilities calculated in the static limit were used to determine an effective screening parameter which was, in turn, used together with an RPA approach to calculate screened wave-dispersed, third-order nonlinear optical properties such as (3)(–3;,,) and (3)(–3;,,). Comparing evaluated polarizabilities with experimental values we found that the non-resonant free polarizability compares well in absolute magnitude with experimental results. The asymmetric contact process onZ has two distinct critical values 1 > 2 (at least with sufficient asymmetry). One can consider the process on {0,...,N} and analyze the time (which we call N ) till complete vacany starting from complete occupation. Its behavior has already been resolved for all regions of except for =2. For this value, Schinazi proved that lim N log N /logN=2 in probability and conjectured that N /N 2 converges in distribution. It is that result that we prove in this paper. We rely heavily on the Brownian motion behavior of the edge particle, which comes from Galves and Presutti and Kuczek.  相似文献

The critical dynamics of the Syozi model for dilute ferromagnetism is considered by the use of master equations. The dynamics is soluble as it is assumed that the time scale of motion on the sublattice on which the impurities move is so much faster than on the other sublattice that fast relaxing variables may be adiabatically eliminated, leaving a new soluble master equation. It is found that the linear and non-linear relaxation of magnetization exponents (l) and (nl) increase on dilution to (l)/(1–) and (nl)/(1–) respectively ( is the specific heat exponent for the pure system, which itself changes on dilution to –/(1–)). Thus if the exponents for the pure system obey the scaling law of Rácz and Fisher (nl)= (l)– ( is the magnetization exponent which changes on dilution to /(1–)) then so do the exponents for the diluted system. Similarly the exponent for spin diffusion changes on dilution to /(1–).  相似文献

The error probability for a coherent optical heterodyne FSK system with a limiter-discriminator-integrator (LDI) detector is analysed. The analysis includes laser quantum phase noise, the correlated receiver additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), Gaussian narrow-band IF filtering and intersymbol interference (ISI) caused by it. It is shown that, for 1 dBEb/N 0penalty at bit error rate (BER) 10–9, (i) the normalized IF beat spectral linewidth T0.35% for frequency deviation ratioh=0.5(MSK), and T0.5% forh=0.7 (the receiver is insensitive to laser quantum phase noise ath=1.0, if ISI is not included.); (ii) if ISI is incorporated, T0.15% forh=0.5, T0.5% forh=0.7, both with 3dB bandwidth-bit period product (3.0>BT1.5), and T0.5% forh=1.0 with BT1.0 ifT0.35% when ISI exists,h=0.7 is optimum;h=1.0 otherwise.  相似文献

The transformation sequences in the Al-30 wt.% Zn alloy aged below 160 °C have been investigated by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The sequence G.-P. zones R has been observed between 85 and 161 °C, whereas the direct G.-P. zones to-transformation occurs below 85 °C. The identical isothermal growth kinetics of both the G.-P. zones and the R -precipitates was found. The log-log plots yielding a set of parallel straight lines from 50 to 150 °C indicate no change in the activation energy of growth of both these precipitates. The change in the precipitation sequence led to the change in the transformation kinetics. The T-T-T curves have been measured for the formation of metastable R -phase and for the completion of ellipsoidal G.-P. zones or of R to-transformation. The retardation in reaching equilibrium found below 85 °C was associated with the observed change in the transformation sequence. This was explained by the different accommodation of the misfit at the interfaces between G.-P. zones or R -precipitates and the-matrix.The authors are much indebted to Doc. The temperature dependence of the Dember effect on AgCl
The condenser method was used to study the temperature dependence of the Dember effect on monocrystalline plates of AgCl when illuminating with ultra-violet light. The dependence was studied from –190C up to room temperature. At approximately –60C a change in the effect from negative to positive was found. At temperatures around –130C there was a maximum the magnitude of which changed when the measurement was repeated. A possible interpretation of the experiments is put forward.

From a finite size analysis we extract the structure factorS(p, N=) of the one dimensional AFH-model in the groundstate: The gross structure is well described byL (p) = –ln(1– p ). The fine structure which only contributes a few percent reveals a pronounced non-linear behavior inL(p) with a maximum atp=0.20 and a minimum atp=0.82.  相似文献

The change in frequency of quartz piezoelectric resonators in a d-c electric polarizing field cannot be explained merely by a change in the dimensions of the resonator due to the polarizing field caused by the inverse piezoelectric effect and electrostriction. We are forced to admit that the elastic constants also change in a polarizing field. A phenomenological interpretation of the influence of a d-c electric polarizing field on the frequency of quartz resonators is proposed here, based on newly introduced quantities characterizing such a change. In conclusion it is shown in what way the quantities, on which the phenomenological theory is based, can be determined experimentally.

The magnetic properties of thin ferromagnetic films are studied taking into account the magnetic anisotropy term in the Hamiltonian. In the second approximation equations are obtained for the magnetization of the monatomic layers parallel to the surface of the thin film. From these equations one obtains the Curie temperature, which depends on the thickness of the thin film and the ratio a between the anisotropy constant and the exchange energy between two neighbours. A value can be chosen for such that the thin film becomes ferromagnetic only for a thickness greater than a definite value and in this manner the theoretical results can be fitted to the experimental data. The situation in cobalt thin films is dealt with in particular.

We derive the high temperature series expansions for the two relaxation times of the single spin-flip kinetic Ising model on the square lattice. The series for the linear relaxation time l is obtained with 20 non-trivial terms, and the analysis yields 2.183±0.005 as the value of the critical exponent l , which is equal to the dynamical critical exponentz in the two-dimensional case. For the non-linear relaxation time we obtain 15 non-trivial terms, and the analysis leads to the results nl = 2.08 ± 0.07. The scaling relation l nl = ( being the exponent of the order parameter) seems to be fulfilled, though the error bars of nl are still quite substantial. In addition, we obtain the series expansion of the linear relaxation time on the honeycomb lattice with 22 non-trivial terms. The result for the critical exponent is close to the value obtained on the square lattice, which is expected from universality.  相似文献
