提出了用连续泵浦光在硅波导中的受激喇曼散射对信号光进行放大的方法.建立了信号光和泵浦光在硅波导中传输的耦合方程,得到了计算信号光增益的理论模型.利用数值模拟结果,对泵浦功率沿波导的分布,信号光在不同波导长度以及输入功率情况下的增益等进行了分析和讨论.结果表明,适当增加波导长度和泵浦光功率可以得到较高喇曼增益的结论.  相似文献

在硅波导上添加反向偏压的PIN结构,当波导产生受激喇曼散射时,可以将波导中双光子吸收(TPA)产生的光生自由载流子扫出波导,降低了波导的非线性损失,极大地提高了硅波导中泵浦光对信号光的喇曼增益。为了应用已经非常成熟的硅工艺,并且应用硅波导使器件小型化,根据法布里-帕罗(F-P)腔和行波放大器理论,在硅波导两端的解理面蒸镀增透膜,应用这种波导的喇曼效应设计了一种光放大器,即基于硅波导的喇曼光放大器。建立了计算放大器增益的方程,给出了不同波导长度和输入功率情况下的放大器增益,得出适当增加波导长度和泵浦光功率可以得到较高喇曼增益的结论。基于硅的光放大器有较高的饱和功率且没有泵浦源的限制,通过调整泵浦激光的波长可以放大不同波长的信号光。  相似文献

 为了提高面阵二极管激光器侧泵浦板条激光器泵浦光的利用率,本文采用光线追迹的方法,通过数字模拟设计出了高耦合效率的波导耦合系统。实验测试结果表明,其耦合效率达到85%以上,泵浦光在板条内分布均匀。  相似文献

首先从掺铥光纤激光器的速率方程和光传输方程出发,建立数学模型,通过Matlab软件进行数值计算,分析了泵浦光和激光沿光纤的分布以及各能级离子数的变化。在不同掺杂浓度下,研究了小信号增益与入纤泵浦功率的关系以及泵浦光和激光功率与增益介质长度的关系。在不同泵浦功率下,研究了输出功率与输出耦合镜反射率的关系。进一步对不同泵浦吸收系数,研究了斜率效率和泵浦阈值与光纤长度的关系。分析结果表明:存在最佳光纤长度和最佳耦合输出透过率,使得激光输出功率达到最佳值。  相似文献

实验研究了在准相位匹配LiNbO3波导中级联的倍频和差频波长转换,通过对转换频谱分析和波形对比分析,讨论了在脉冲泵浦情况下走离效应对光脉冲之间波长转换的影响:由于波导的色散性能,不同波长的光脉冲在波导中传播具有不同的群速度,处在0.8 μm光波段的倍频光脉冲比处在1.55 μm光波段的泵浦光脉冲的传播速度慢,导致了倍频光脉冲与泵浦光脉冲在传播的过程中发生走离;因此倍频脉冲在频域被压缩而在时域被展宽,并遗传给差频过程使得转换脉冲的谱宽变窄、脉宽增加、占空比变大,表明脉冲光泵浦波长转换对信号频谱及波形不是严格透明的转换。实验同时实现了一对多通道的波长转换,表明连续控制光的线宽对转换信号的信噪比有较大的影响。  相似文献

主要讨论泵浦光束质量对低气压拉曼种子源特性的影响。文中给出了一阶斯托克斯光泵浦阈值、输出能量和光束质量的实验数据。用M^2因子分析了泵浦光和一阶斯托克斯光的光束质量。根据考虑泵浦聚焦和泵浦光束质量影响的近似拉曼散射理论计算了泵浦阈值的理论曲线,并与实验数据和有关文献进行了比较。  相似文献

大芯径晶体波导可吸收更高功率的泵浦光,能够实现更高的输出功率,同时在锁模运行时芯层中的峰值功率密度相对较低,而且减少了非线性效应的积累。基于此,构建了一种基于Yb:YAG大芯径晶体方波导的被动锁模皮秒激光器。实验中,首先使用高反镜替代半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM),在较高的泵浦功率下调节晶体波导的位置和角度以实现泵浦光与波导芯层的匹配;然后,仔细调节球面反射镜的角度,使信号光耦合进波导芯层中以尽量减小腔内的损耗。所设计的激光器采用折叠腔结构,在腔内没有色散补偿器件的情况下,实现了平均功率为10.2 W、脉冲宽度为65 ps、重复频率为30.15 MHz、单脉冲能量为0.34μJ的激光输出。  相似文献

对0.532μm波长光泵浦的BBO光参量振荡器产生线宽的机制进行了详细分析和计算,结果与实验基本一致,实验结果表明泵浦光发散角是产生线宽的主要因素。文中的分析方法可推广至其它单轴晶体光参量振荡器线宽的分析。  相似文献

A theory is presented describing the infrared pump beam propagation in circular waveguides of OPFIRLs. Based upon a ray representation of the Gaussian beam, the overall transport of pump power into the gas by nonlinear absorption and into the wall of the waveguide by partial reflections can be balanced. The theory was used to study the typical pumping conditions in OPFIRL and the main results are presented.  相似文献

A wave theory was developed and a numerical simulation performed of the diffractive flow of a signal wave around a negative inhomogeneity induced by a cylindrical pump beam in nonlinear medium while keeping both waves in the potential well. It was shown that a broad pump beam reflects a narrow signal beam. A nonlinear waveguide (a dark soliton) is described as well. These phenomena can be observed in Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) and in a gradient waveguide.  相似文献

We consider the propagation of guided waves in a planar waveguide that has a finite-length segment of inhomogeneous media. Except for the inhomogeneous segment, which varies in length from 0 to 160λ, the waveguide is piecewise homogeneous everywhere. The inhomogeneity is modelled by two-dimensional random permittivity fluctuations that are numerically generated from an assumed Gaussian correlation function.

In 2D, the Maxwell equations are solved in the frequency domain for both TE and TM polarization by using modal expansion methods, perfectly matched absorbing boundary layers and the R-matrix transfer matrix algorithm. The guided waves are excited by a Gaussian beam incident on the waveguide aperture. For various waveguide design parameters, numerical results are given for waveguide power loss per unit length of waveguide inhomogeneity. The power loss curves are calculated as the average from numerous realizations of the random permittivity and the coefficient of variation is also given.  相似文献

An efficient analysis method for erbium-doped optical waveguide amplifiers (EDWA) is presented. By solving the rate equation, the propagation in EDWA is stimulated using the finite difference beam propagation method (FD-BPM). The dependence of the gain of EDWA is investigated on the waveguide length, erbium concentration, and signal and pump power. The analysis shows that considerable gain levels, 3.35 dB/cm can be achieved in 10 cm-long EDWA with an erbium concentration of 2.0 × 1026 ions/m3, signal power 1 W and pump power 100 mW at 980 nm.  相似文献

针对结构紧凑的部分端面泵浦混合腔板条激光放大器,研究了泵浦匀化对其输出激光光束质量的改善作用。基于ZEMAX仿真软件,设计并对比分析了直接成像和波导匀化后再成像两种泵浦耦合方式对激光二极管阵列慢轴(晶体宽度)方向光强分布均匀性的影响,发现波导匀化后泵浦均匀性得到明显提升且激光二极管阵列发光坏点对泵浦成像的影响得以弱化。进一步实验验证了泵浦匀化对Innoslab激光放大器性能的改善作用:波导匀化后慢轴方向泵浦均匀度从90.6%提高到95.4%,进而使3通放大后输出激光光束质量因子M2从2.41提升到1.55,并且有效抑制了多通放大腔内的自激振荡。  相似文献

Experimental investigations were made of wavefront reproduction (WFR) by backward stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) and backward stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in CS2 with a linearly polarized ruby pump beam. The experimental studies were carried out as a function of the optical waveguide diameter and photographic records comparing the pump beam with the backscattered SBS and SRS beams are presented. In all of the cases studied there was a high degree of replication between the SBS and pump beams; however, a deterioration in the quality of the replicated SRS beam was observed, and it increased as the cross-sectional area of the waveguide increased.  相似文献

In this paper all optical switching in planar methyl red doped poly (methyl methacrylate) (MR/PMMA) waveguide and the effects of different parameters on this process are presented. Switching was achieved by a 488 nm Ar ion laser (pump beam) on a 633 nm He-Ne laser (probe beam) when passed through the waveguide. The effect of temperature and pump intensity, polarization and chopping frequency on switching is investigated. The switching process is attributed to trans-cis-trans photoisomerization of azo dyes in the polymer host. By studying the absorption spectrum of the sample, it is shown that both pump and probe laser beams are effective on the switching process.  相似文献

研究了掺铒磷酸盐玻璃波导放大器的特性。利用重叠因子将980nm光抽运的掺铒玻璃波导放大器四能级模型的速率-传输方程进行化简,在考虑上转换效应和放大自发发射的情况下.利用数值模拟的方法,得到了掺铒玻璃波导放大器的增益与Er^3 离子浓度、抽运功率、波导长度等参量之间的关系曲线;同时模拟出放大自发发射曲线并与实验测量结果进行比较。结果表明在考虑上转换效应和放大自发发射的情况下,理论结果和实验测量结果是一致的。同时看到,选择合适的铒离子浓度是制作掺铒玻璃波导放大器的关键;并且为了全面发挥掺铒玻璃波导放大器的性能,需要抽运功率、波导长度等各个参量配合起来。  相似文献
