The synthesis and electrochemical properties of new cobalt and manganese phthalocyanine complexes, tetra-substituted with 3,4-(methylendioxy)-phenoxy at the peripheral (complexes 3 and 5) and non-peripheral (complexes 4 and 6) positions, are reported. Complexes 3 and 4 showed Q-band absorption, in DMF, at 668 and 686 nm, respectively while Q-band due to complexes 5 and 6 appeared at 732 and 760 nm, respectively in CHCl3. All the complexes showed well resolved redox processes attributed to both metal and ring based processes. Complexes 3 and 4 showed four redox processes, labeled I, II, III and IV. For complex 3, process I (CoIPc−2/CoIPc−3) was observed at −1.45 V, II (CoIIPc−2/CoIPc−2) at −0.38 V, III (CoIIIPc−2/CoIIPc−2) at +0.49 V and IV (CoIIIPc−1/CoIIIPc−2) at +0.97 V versus Ag|AgCl. Similar processes were observed for complex 4 at −1.36 V, −0.27 V, +0.56 V, +1.03 V versus Ag|AgCl, respectively. Complexes 5 and 6 showed two redox processes (I and II). For complex 5, these processes appeared at −0.79 V (MnIIPc−2/MnIIPc−3, I) and −0.07 V versus Ag|AgCl (MnIIIPc−2/MnIIPc−2, II), while for complex 6, they were observed at −0.86 V and −0.04 V versus Ag|AgCl. Spectroelectrochemistry was used to probe and confirm the origin of these processes.  相似文献

The syntheses, spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of manganese (3), nickel (4) and iron (5) phthalocyanine complexes, octa-substituted at the peripheral positions with diethlyaminoethanethiol substituent, are reported. The electrochemistry of these complexes and the corresponding cobalt complex (6) are reported. Complex 3 showed two reversible reduction couples attributed to the MnIIIPc2/MnIIPc2 (E½ = −0.12 V versus Ag|AgCl) and MnIIPc2/MnIIPc3 (E½ = −0.82 V versus Ag|AgCl) species. Two ring-based reduction couples were also observed for complex 4. Two reduction couples, assigned to the FeIIPc2/FeIPc2 (E½ = −0.35 V versus Ag|AgCl) and FeIPc2/FeIPc3 (E½ = −0.96 V versus Ag|AgCl) species, and an oxidation couple, attributed to FeIIIPc2/FeIIPc2 (E½ = 0.26 V versus Ag|AgCl) species, were observed. For complex 6, two reductions and one oxidation were also observed with the potential range of 1.2 to −1.8 V versus Ag|AgCl Spectroelectrochemical studies were used to confirm some of the assigned processes.  相似文献

A new water-soluble metal-free phthalocyanine, 2,9,16,23-tetrakis(4-(1-naphthoxy-4-sulfonic acid sodium salt))phthalocyanine NhtH2Pc, where Nht indicates naphthoxy-4-sulfonic acid sodium salt, was synthesized and its aggregation, electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties were investigated in non-aqueous solutions. The aggregation study of NhtH2Pc showed that NhtH2Pc had both aggregated and non-aggregated mono phthalocyanine forms in the case of the 1:1 ratio of methanol and water, while it exhibited only the characteristic UV–Vis absorption of monomeric phthalocyanine in methanol and DMSO. NhtH2Pc displayed three reversible one-electron reductions waves, assigned to Pc3−/Pc2−, Pc4−/Pc3− and Pc5−/Pc4− couples, respectively. The electrochemical half-wave potentials of the reduction processes were located at E1/2 = −0.510, −0.924 and −1.24 V, respectively while the anodic potential of the oxidation process was displayed at E1/2 = 0.590 V versus pseudo Ag/AgCl. The half-wave potentials of the first and second reductions were positively shifted by 0.150 and 0.136 V compared with those of the unsubstituted metal-free phthalocyanine (H2Pc). These shift values are almost the same as those observed for [(SO3)4H2Pc]. The electrochemical studies showed that the electron-withdrawing sulfonated-naphthoxy groups on the macrocycle core made the reduction processes of NhtH2Pc easier in DMSO solution. The well-defined UV–Vis spectra of the electro-reduced species [NhtH2Pc] were obtained with an applied potential (Eapp = −0.70 V) in a thin-layer cell. The spectroelectrochemical results showed that the first reduction product exhibited characteristic spectral changes corresponding to mono-anionic species of metal-free phthalocyanines, having long-term stability during the reduction process.  相似文献

Three new mononuclear complexes of nitrogen–sulfur donor sets, formulated as [FeII(L)Cl2] (1), [CoII(L)Cl2] (2) and [NiII(L)Cl2] (3) where L = 1,3-bis(2-pyridylmethylthio)propane, were synthesized and isolated in their pure form. All the complexes were characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The solid state structures of complexes 1 and 3 have been established by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The structural analysis evidences isomorphous crystals with the metal ion in a distorted octahedral geometry that comprises NSSN ligand donors with trans located pyridine rings and chlorides in cis positions. In dimethylformamide solution, the complexes were found to exhibit FeII/FeIII, CoII/CoIII and NiII/NiIII quasi-reversible redox couples in cyclic voltammograms with E1/2 values (versus Ag/AgCl at 298 K) of +0.295, +0.795 and +0.745 V for 1, 2 and 3, respectively.  相似文献

Mononuclear cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) substituted at the non-peripheral 8 and peripheral positions 9 with 1,1′-binaphthyl-8,8′-diol and ball-type dinuclear Co2Pc2 substituted at the non-peripheral 10 and peripheral 11 positions with the same substituent are reported. The complexes with 1,1′-binaphthol-bridges were prepared from the corresponding phthalonitriles 4-7. The effects of the position of substituent on spectral, electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties of these complexes were also explored. The mononuclear complexes 8 and 9 exhibited one metal reduction, one ring reduction and one ring oxidation. The redox properties of the ball-type complexes 10 and 11 exhibited two reduction processes assigned to [(CoIPc−2)2]2−/[(CoIPc−3)2]4− (I), (CoIIPc−2)2/[(CoIPc−2)2]2− (II) and one oxidation process assigned to [(CoIIIPc−2)2]2+/CoIIPc−2)2 (III). The ball-type complexes are much easier to oxidize and more difficult to reduce than the corresponding monomers 8 and 9.  相似文献

Thiols functionalized with N-aryl[3]azaferrocenophane formulated as HS-(CH2)n-N(CH2Cp)2Fe (1: n = 6, 2: n = 8, 3: n = 10, 4: n = 12) and disulfide obtained by oxidation of 4 (5) were synthesized via three or four steps reactions starting from 1,1′-ferrocenedimethanol, 4-aminophenol, and α,ω-aklanedithiol. Self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of these thiols and disulfide on gold electrode were prepared by immersing the electrode in MeCN solutions of the compounds. Cyclic voltammograms of the SAM of 1 (n = 6) exhibited reversible redox of the Fe center at E1/2 = 0.26 V (vs. Ag+/Ag) in the presence of Et4NBF4 in MeCN and at E1/2 = 0.40 V (vs. AgCl/Ag) in the presence of NaClO4 in H2O. Addition of HClO4 to the solutions shifted the redox peaks to higher potentials, E1/2 = 0.51 V (vs. Ag+/Ag) in MeCN and E1/2 = 0.48 V (vs. AgCl/Ag) in H2O, respectively, which was ascribed to positive charge of tertiary ammonium group formed by protonation of the amino group of the azaferrocenophane. E1/2 of SAM of 1 in H2O solution varies depending on the anion contained in the electrolyte, NaClO4 (0.40 V), NaBF4 (0.46 V), Na2SO4 (0.53 V), and NaCl (0.55 V). Kinetic data of electron transfer between the Fe center and the gold surface of the SAM of 2-4 were obtained with variable scanning rate. Laviron’s analysis provided tunneling constant β, 0.05 Å−1, suggesting that the structural changes in the SAMs on oxidation/reduction undergoes the insignificant change of the kinetic constants of the electron transfer depending on the range of the spacer length. In the acidic aqueous media, the kinetic parameters indicated that the imbalanced electron transfer between oxidized and reduced states of the Fe center was caused by the protonation of bridged amine group of azaferrocenophane.  相似文献

Three new copper(II) complexes [CuL1]2(ClO4)2 (1), [CuL2]ClO4 (2) and [CuL3] (3) with three Schiff base ligands [HL1 = 1-phenyl-3-{3-[(pyridin-2-ylmethylene)-amino]-propylimino}-butan-1-one, HL2 = 1-phenyl-3-[3-(1-pyridin-2-yl-ethylideneamino)-propylimino]-butan-1-one and H2L3 = 3-[3-(1-methyl-3-oxo-3-phenyl-propylideneamino)-propylimino]-1-phenyl-butan-1-one] have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The mono-negative tetradentate asymmetric Schiff base ligands (L1) and (L2) are chelated in complexes 1 and 2 to form square planar copper(II) complexes. In complex 1, the two units are associated weakly through ketonic oxygen of benzoylacetone fragment to form the dimeric entity. The square planar geometry of complex 3 is unusually distorted towards tetrahedral one. All three complexes exhibit reversible cyclic voltammetric responses in acetonitrile solution corresponding to the CuII/CuI redox process. The E1/2 (−0.47 V versus SCE) of 3 shows significant anodic shift due to the tetrahedral distortion around Cu(II) compare to that of 1 and 2 (−0.82 and −0.87 V versus SCE, respectively).  相似文献

Two series of complexes of the types trans-[CoIII(Mebpb)(amine)2]ClO4 {Mebpb2− = N,N-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)-4-methylbenzene dianion, and amine = pyrrolidine (prldn) (1a), piperidine (pprdn) (2a), morpholine (mrpln) (3a), benzylamine (bzlan) (4a)}, and trans-[CoIII(cbpb)(amine)2]X {cbpb2− = N,N-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)-4-chlorobenzene dianion, and amine = pyrrolidine (prldn), X = PF6 (1b), piperidine (pprdn), X = PF6 (2b), morpholine (mrpln), X = ClO4 (3b), benzylamine (bzlan), X = PF6 (4b)} have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV–Vis, and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structure of 1a has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The electrochemical behavior of these complexes, with the goal of evaluating the effect of axial ligation and equatorial substitution on the redox properties, is also reported. The reduction potential of CoIII, ranging from −0.53 V for (1a) to −0.31 V for (3a) and from −0.48 V for (1b) to −0.22 V for (3b) show a relatively good correlation with the σ-donor ability of the axial ligands. The methyl and chloro substituents of the equatorial ligand have a considerable effect on the redox potentials of the central cobalt ion and the ligand-centered redox processes.  相似文献

Two new reduced Schiff base ligands, [HL1 = 4-{2-[(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-amino]-ethylimino}-pentan-2-one and HL2 = 4-[2-(1-pyridin-2-yl-ethylamino)-ethylimino]-pentan-2-one] have been prepared by reduction of the corresponding tetradentate unsymmetrical Schiff bases derived from 1:1: 1 condensation of 1,2-ethanediamine, acetylacetone and pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde/2-acetyl pyridine. Four complexes, [Ni(L1)]ClO4 (1), [Cu(L1)]ClO4 (2), [Ni(L2)]ClO4 (3), and [Cu(L2)]ClO4 (4) with these two reduced Schiff base ligands have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The mono-negative ligands L1 and L2 are chelated in all four complexes through the four donor atoms to form square planar nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes. Structures of 3 and 4 reveal that enantiomeric pairs are crystallized together with opposite chirality in the nitrogen and carbon atoms. The two CuII complexes (2 and 4) exhibit both irreversible reductive (CuII/CuI; Epc, −1.00 and −1.04 V) and oxidative (CuII/CuIII; Epa, +1.22 and +1.17 V, respectively) responses in cyclic voltammetry. The electrochemically generated CuI species for both the complexes are unstable and undergo disproportionation.  相似文献

Three complexes of magnesium phthalocyaninato(2−) derivatives in the crystalline form, MgPc(H2O)·(C2H5)3N – (I), MgPc(H2O)2·2(C2H5)3N – (II) and MgPc(H2O)2 – (III), depending on the thermal recrystallisation conditions were obtained and structurally characterised. In complex I, the Mg center exhibits square-pyramidal (4 + 1) coordination environment, whereas in II and III the Mg center of MgPc the biaxial (4 + 2) coordination. Owing to the interaction of the positively charged Mg center with oppositely charged oxygen atom of water molecule in an axial position in I, the Mg atom is significantly displaced (0.451(2) Å) from the plane defined by four isoindole N atoms and leads to distortion of the planar Pc(2−) macrocycle to the saucer-shape form. In II and III due to the biaxial (4 + 2) coordination of the Mg center of MgPc, the Mg atom lies on a N4-isoindole plane. The triethylamine solvent molecules in I and II interact with mono or bis(aqua)magnesium phthalocyanine via   O–H??N hydrogen bonds. The axial Mg–O bond in I is significantly shorter than that in the II and III complexes. The strength of the Mg–O bond in these complexes is correlated with their thermal stability. From among the complexes only complex I exhibits an intense near-IR absorption band in the solid-state. The spectra of I, II and III in solution are very similar.  相似文献

Four azide bridged dinuclear copper(II) complexes, [Cu2(LX)2(N3)2](ClO4)2, with LX = substituted N,N-bis[(3,5-dimethylpyrazole-1-yl)-methyl]benzylamine, [X = H (1), OMe (2), Me (3) and Cl (4)] have been synthesized, out of which complexes 1 and 2 have been characterized structurally. In Complex 1 the two bridging azide ligands have connected the two metal centers in an end-on (EO) fashion with aSP (asymmetric Square Pyramidal) geometry and showed an weak antiferromagnetic interaction (J = −3.34 cm−1). On the contrary, in complex 2, the two metal centers have been connected in end-to-end (EE) fashion exhibiting moderately strong ferromagnetic interaction (J = +19.7 cm−1). Cyclic voltammetric studies performed on all the four complexes show a reasonably good correlations when E1/2 for CuIICuII → CuIICuIII and CuIICuIII → CuIIICuIII oxidations are plotted against σ (substituent constants) with ρ = −0.182 (R= 0.92) and −0.684 (R= 0.99) respectively.  相似文献

The complex cis-[Ru(Lpy)NO]3+ (I) (Lpy = N-(2-methylpyridyl)1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) was prepared by the stoichiometric reaction between Ru(dmso)4Cl2 and Lpy and an excess of NaNO2 in ethanolic medium, followed by acidification of the solution. The diamagnetic species was isolated as its hexafluorophosphate salt, and fully characterized by IR (νNO = 1917 cm−1) and diverse NMR techniques in combination with theoretical computations based on the density functional theory (DFT). The compound displays strong electronic transitions below 300 nm and weak ones in the visible region of the spectrum, all of them solvent insensitive. The reaction of cis-[Ru(Lpy)NO]3+ with OH generates the strongly colored nitro compound cis-[Ru(Lpy)NO2]+ (II) The {RuNO}6 compound can be interconverted into the one-electron reduced {RuNO}7 species cis-[Ru(Lpy)NO]2+ (III). The reduction process is completely reversible in the cyclic voltammetry timescale with E0 (versus Ag/AgCl, 3 M Cl) = −0.02 V and 0.18 V in water and acetonitrile, respectively. Controlled potential reduction in both solvents yields to the quantitative formation of III, a process which involves significant changes in the electronic spectroscopy. The {RuNO}7 species proved to be inert against ligand loss, and electrogenerated solutions remained unchanged for several hours if protected from atmospheric oxygen. Electrochemical reoxidation or exposure to air lead to the complete recovery of the starting cis-[Ru(Lpy)NO]3+ material, without signs of secondary reactions. The robustness of the coordination sphere appears as a consequence of the multidentate nature of Lpy.  相似文献

A series of square-pyramidal copper(II) complexes, [Cu(LSe)(NN)] (H2LSe = seleno-bisphenolate; NN = bipyridyl, phenanthroline or N,N-dimethylethylenediamine) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic measurements, IR, EPR, and electronic spectral studies. Single crystal X-ray structures of [Cu(LSe)(bpy)]·H2O (2), [Cu(LSe)(phen)]·CH2Cl2 (3) and [Cu(LSe)(N,N-Me2en)] (4) showed that all the complexes have approximately square-pyramidal geometry. In complexes 2 and 3, the square plane is occupied by O(1), O(2), N(1) and N(2) and the apical position by Se atom of LSe 2− ligand. The asymmetric unit of complex 4 contains two crystallographically independent discrete molecules A and B with CuN2OSe chromophore comprising the square plane and the axial position being occupied by another phenolate oxygen atom. Complexes 2, 3 and 4 are found to be paramagnetic and EPR parameters extracted are: g = 2.232, g = 2.069; 〈geff〉 = 1.95; and g = 2.232, g = 2.083 for complexes 2, 3 and 4, respectively. Both the complexes 2 and 4 show three reduction processes: (a) a quasi-reversible reduction of CuII to CuI, (b) an irreversible reduction of CuI to Cu0 with the release of free ligand, and (c) a reduction process occurs at this coordinated ligand. They also show a well-defined quasi-reversible oxidation of CuII to CuIII and an irreversible oxidation peak at ∼1.30 and 1.40 V vs. Ag/AgCl for 4 and 2, respectively, with no cathodic counterpart, and were attributed to the oxidation of the metal coordinated ligand.  相似文献

The new pyrazine-pillared solids, AgReO4(C4H4N2) (I) and Ag3Mo2O4F7(C4H4N2)3 (C4H4N2=pyrazine, pyz) (II), were synthesized by hydrothermal methods at 150 °C and characterized using single crystal X-ray diffraction (IP21/c, No. 14, Z=4, a=7.2238(6) Å, b=7.4940(7) Å, c=15.451(1) Å, β=92.296(4)°; IIP2/n, No. 13, Z=2, a=7.6465(9) Å, b=7.1888(5) Å, c=19.142(2) Å, β=100.284(8)°), thermogravimetric analysis, UV-Vis diffuse reflectance, and photoluminescence measurements. Individual Ag(pyz) chains in I are bonded to three perrhenate ReO4- tetrahedra per layer, while each layer in II contains sets of three edge-shared Ag(pyz) chains (π-π stacked) that are edge-shared to four Mo2O4F73- dimers. A relatively small interlayer spacing results from the short length of the pyrazine pillars, and which can be removed at just slightly above their preparation temperature, at >150-175 °C, to produce crystalline AgReO4 for I, and Ag2MoO4 and an unidentified product for II. Both pillared solids exhibit strong orange-yellow photoemission, at 575 nm for I and 560 nm for II, arising from electronic excitations across (charge transfer) band gaps of 2.91 and 2.76 eV in each, respectively. Their structures and properties are analyzed with respect to parent ‘organic free’ silver perrhenate and molybdate solids which manifest similar photoemissions, as well as to the calculated electronic band structures.  相似文献

The reactions of CoCl2·6H2O, dppm (bis(diphenylphosphino)methane) and TCNQ (7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane), with different ratios of the components, provided three new compounds, [Co(dppmdo)3][TCNQ]21 (dppmdo = P,P′-dioxo-bis(diphenylphosphinyl)methane), [Co(dppmdo)3][(μ-TCNQ)-CoCl3] 2, and [Co(dppmdo)3][(μ-DCBE)-CoCl3] 3 (DCBE = p-dicyanomethyl-benzoic ethyl ester). These products were characterized by IR, UV–Vis and UV–Vis-NIR spectra, X-ray crystallography, magnetic susceptibility measurements and cyclic voltammograms. 1 and 2 reveal low-energy transitions in the near-infrared region, which can be attributed to intra-ligand transitions involving radical anions (TCNQ/TCNQ). It is interesting to note that, except for the redox potentials which are anodically shifted, indicating that it is easier to reduce TCNQ in 1 and 2 than the free TCNQ molecule, the electrochemistry of compounds 1 and 2 resemble that of the independent organic acceptor TCNQ. The magnetic properties suggest that an amount of electron transfer has occurred from the CoII complex, [Co(dppmdo)3]2+, to the TCNQ anions in 1; an amount of electron transfer also has occurred from the CoII cation to the TCNQ anion via a cyanide-bridge in 2; there is a mixture of spin transition of CoII ions and antiferromagnetic coupling between CoII ions in 3.  相似文献

Three new compounds, a one-dimensional (1D) zinc phosphite, (C4H8N2H4)[Zn(HPO3)2] (I), two three-dimensional (3D) metal phosphites (C4H8N2H4)[Zn3(HPO3)4] (II) and (C4H8N2H4)[Zn(3−x)Cox(HPO3)4(H2O)2] (x≈0.83) (III) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions templated by piperazine and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, XRD, IR, UV-vis spectra and SQUID magnetometer. Compound I displays 1D chain-like structure, containing corner-shared (cs) four-membered rings. Interestingly, the structures of II and III show 1D chains similar to those observed in I. Ion-selective properties were established for membrane electrodes prepared by using organotin compounds of type (LCNRSnF2)n, (R = n-Bu (I), = Ph (II)) and (LCNSnF3)n (III) (LCN = C6H4(CH2NMe2)-2). Electrodes formulated with the optimized membranes containing the organotin compounds I-III as ionophores and sodium tetraphenylborate (10-30%) exhibited high selectivity for fluoride over other anions. An electrode prepared with ionophore II using dibutyl phthalate as the plasticizer and 15% sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB) as anion additive, possesses the best potentiometric response characteristics. It shows a detection limit of 7.9 × 10−7 M with a slope of 62.7 mV decade−1 of activity in buffer solutions of pH 5.5. The interference from other anions is suppressed under this optimized measurement conditions. An entirely non-Hofmeister selectivity sequence (F > CH3COO > Cl > I ∼ Br >ClO4 > NO2 > NO3 > SCN) with remarkable preference towards fluoride is obtained. The influence on the electrode performances by anion additive was studied, and the possible response mechanism was investigated by UV-vis spectra. The electrode has been used for direct determination of fluoride in drinking mineral water with satisfactory results.  相似文献

An investigation of the MII/X/L [MII = Co, Ni, Cu, Zn; X = Cl, Br, I, NCS, NO3, N3, CH3COO; L = 1-methyl-4,5-diphenylimidazole] general reaction system towards the detailed study of the intermolecular interactions utilized for controlling the supramolecular organization and the structural consequences on the structures produced has been initiated. Three representative complexes with the formulae [Co(NO3)2(L)2] (1), [Zn(NO3)2(L)2] (2) and [Co(NCS)2(L)2]·EtOH (3·EtOH) have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods and single-crystal X-ray analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 are isomorphous (tetragonal, I41cd) with their metal ions in a severely distorted octahedral Co/ZnN2O4 environment, while 3·EtOH crystallizes in P21/c with a tetrahedral CoN4 coordination. The structural analysis of 1, 2 and 3·EtOH reveals a common mode of packing among neighbouring ligands (expressed through intramolecular ππ interactions between the 4,5-diphenylimidazole moieties), enhancing thus the rigidity and stability of the complexes. The bent coordination of the two isothiocyanates in 3 [Co–NCS angles of 173.8(2) and 160.8(2)°] seems to be caused by intermolecular hydrogen bonding and crystal packing effects.  相似文献

Tetracyanoethylene oxide (TCNEO) reacted with [CpCo(dithiolene)] (Cp = η5-cyclopentadienyl) complexes having 4-pyridyl or 3-pyridyl group to undergo a dicyanomethylation to the nitrogen atom on the pyridyl group. The reaction of [CpCo(S2C2(4Py)2)] (1) with TCNEO formed both the monodicyanomethylated [CpCo(S2C2(4Py)(4Py-C(CN)2))] (1a) and bisdicyanomethylated [CpCo(S2C2(4Py-C(CN)2)2)] (1b). [CpCo(S2C2(2Py)(4Py))] (2) reacted with TCNEO to give [CpCo(S2C2(2Py)(4Py-C(CN)2))] (2a) but no dicyanomethylation occurred on the 2-pyridyl group. 2 reacted with excess TCNEO to form the only dicyanomethylated acetylene derivative 2Py-CC-(4Py-C(CN)2) (2c), followed by a dissociation of the CpCoS2 fragment. The monodicyanomethylated [CpCo(S2C2(nPy-C(CN)2)(2-thienyl))] (n = 4 (4a) or 3 (5a)) complexes were also prepared from [CpCo(S2C2(nPy)(2-thienyl))] (n = 4 (4) or 3 (5)) and TCNEO. 1b was structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction study. The all dicyanomethylated [CpCo(dithiolene)] complexes showed the dithiolene LMCT absorption in the range of 605-644 nm (ε = 7000-9200 M−1 cm−1) and very strong absorption due to their pyridinium-dicyanomethylide moieties in near-UV region (e.g. 1b: λmax = 470 nm, ε = 43,400 M−1 cm−1). The CV of the all dicyanomethylated complexes exhibited two reduction waves. The first reduction is due to CoIII/CoII and the second one is due to the reduction of the pyridinium-dicyanomethylide moiety. The reduced 1b is stable enough for several minutes according to the visible spectroelectrochemical measurement. The ESR spectrum of 1b indicated eight hyperfine splittings due only to the interaction with the nuclear spin of cobalt (I = 7/2).  相似文献
