In this paper, an effective numerical approach based on a new two‐dimensional hybrid of parabolic and block‐pulse functions (2D‐PBPFs) is presented for solving nonlinear partial quadratic integro‐differential equations of fractional order. Our approach is based on 2D‐PBPFs operational matrix method together with the fractional integral operator, described in the Riemann–Liouville sense. The main characteristic behind this approach is to reduce such problems to those of solving systems of algebraic equations, which greatly simplifies the problem. By using Newton's iterative method, this system is solved, and the solution of fractional nonlinear partial quadratic integro‐differential equations is achieved. Convergence analysis and an error estimate associated with the proposed method is obtained, and it is proved that the numerical convergence order of the suggested numerical method is O(h3) . The validity and applicability of the method are demonstrated by solving three numerical examples. Numerical examples are presented in the form of tables and graphs to make comparisons with the exact solutions much easier.  相似文献

Haar wavelet operational matrix has been widely applied in system analysis, system identification, optimal control and numerical solution of integral and differential equations. In the present paper we derive the Haar wavelet operational matrix of the fractional order integration, and use it to solve the fractional order differential equations including the Bagley-Torvik, Ricatti and composite fractional oscillation equations. The results obtained are in good agreement with the existing ones in open literatures and it is shown that the technique introduced here is robust and easy to apply.  相似文献

This paper deals with numerical solution to the multi-term time fractional diffusion equation in a finite domain. An implicit finite difference scheme is established based on Caputo's definition to the fractional derivatives, and the upper and lower bounds to the spectral radius of the coefficient matrix of the difference scheme are estimated, with which the unconditional stability and convergence are proved. The numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis, and the method and technique can also be applied to other kinds of time/space fractional diffusion equations.  相似文献

The main motive of this article is to study the recently developed Atangana-Baleanu Caputo (ABC) fractional operator that is obtained by replacing the classical singular kernel by Mittag-Leffler kernel in the definition of the fractional differential operator. We investigate a novel numerical method for the nonlinear two-dimensional cable equation in which time-fractional derivative is of Mittag-Leffler kernel type. First, we derive an approximation formula of the fractional-order ABC derivative of a function tk using a numerical integration scheme. Using this approximation formula and some properties of shifted Legendre polynomials, we derived the operational matrix of ABC derivative. In the author of knowledge, this operational matrix of ABC derivative is derived the first time. We have shown the efficiency of this newly derived operational matrix by taking one example. Then we solved a new class of fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs) by the implementation of this ABC operational matrix. The two-dimensional model of the time-fractional model of the cable equation is solved and investigated by this method. We have shown the effectiveness and validity of our proposed method by giving the solution of some numerical examples of the two-dimensional fractional cable equation. We compare our obtained numerical results with the analytical results, and we conclude that our proposed numerical method is feasible and the accuracy can be seen by error tables. We see that the accuracy is so good. This method will be very useful to investigate a different type of model that have Mittag-Leffler fractional derivative.  相似文献

In this paper, the pseudo-spectral method is generalized for solving fractional differential equations with initial conditions. For this purpose, an appropriate representation of the solution is presented and the pseudo-spectral differentiation matrix of fractional order is derived. Then, by using pseudo-spectral scheme, the problem is reduced to the solution of a system of algebraic equations. Through several numerical examples, we evaluate the accuracy and performance of our proposed method.  相似文献

For combinatorial system of multilayer dynamics of fluids in porous media, the second order and first order upwind finite difference fractional steps schemes applicable to parallel arithmetic are put forward and two-dimensional and three-dimensional schemes are used to form a complete set. Some techniques, such as implicit-explicit difference scheme, calculus of variations, multiplicative commutation rule of difference operators, decomposition of high order difference operators and prior estimates, are adopted. Optimal order estimates in L 2 norm are derived to determine the error in the second order approximate solution. This method has already been applied to the numerical simulation of migration-accumulation of oil resources. Keywords: combinatorial system, multilayer dynamics of fluids in porous media, two-class upwind finite difference fractional steps method, convergence, numerical simulation of energy sources.  相似文献

This article proves the existence and uniqueness of the solution obtained by the hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin (HDG) method of the fractional Volterra‐Fredholm integro differential equation. The method based on local solvers and transmission condition is applied to the equation using two auxiliary variables. The form of the equation is amenable for achieving the solvability criteria of the problem according to the HDG method. We also calculate a numerical solution of the problem whose exact solution is taken as a smooth or fractional function. This results in a tridiagonal, symmetric, and positive definite stiffness matrix.  相似文献

In this paper, shifted Legendre polynomials will be used for constructing the numerical solution for a class of multiterm variable‐order fractional differential equations. In the proposed method, the shifted Legendre operational matrix of the fractional variable‐order derivatives will be investigated. The fundamental problem is reduced to an algebraic system of equations using the constructed matrix and the collocation technique, which can be solved numerically. The error estimate of the proposed method is investigated. Some numerical examples are presented to prove the applicability, generality, and accuracy of the suggested method.  相似文献

A matrix method for the solution of direct fractional Sturm-Liouville problems (SLPs) on bounded domains is proposed where the fractional derivative is defined in the Riesz sense. The scheme is based on the application of the Galerkin spectral method of orthogonal polynomials. The order of convergence of the eigenvalue approximations with respect to the matrix size is studied. Some numerical examples that confirm the theory and prove the competitiveness of the approach are finally presented.  相似文献

We propose and analyze a spectral Jacobi-collocation approximation for fractional order integro-differential equations of Volterra type. The fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense. We provide a rigorous error analysis for the collection method, which shows that the errors of the approximate solution decay exponentially in L norm and weighted L2-norm. The numerical examples are given to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, numerical solutions of fractional Fokker–Planck equations with Riesz space fractional derivatives have been developed. Here, the fractional Fokker–Planck equations have been considered in a finite domain. In order to deal with the Riesz fractional derivative operator, shifted Grünwald approximation and fractional centred difference approaches have been used. The explicit finite difference method and Crank–Nicolson implicit method have been applied to obtain the numerical solutions of fractional diffusion equation and fractional Fokker–Planck equations, respectively. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed numerical solution techniques. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we derived the shifted Jacobi operational matrix (JOM) of fractional derivatives which is applied together with spectral tau method for numerical solution of general linear multi-term fractional differential equations (FDEs). A new approach implementing shifted Jacobi operational matrix in combination with the shifted Jacobi collocation technique is introduced for the numerical solution of nonlinear multi-term FDEs. The main characteristic behind this approach is that it reduces such problems to those of solving a system of algebraic equations which greatly simplifying the problem. The proposed methods are applied for solving linear and nonlinear multi-term FDEs subject to initial or boundary conditions, and the exact solutions are obtained for some tested problems. Special attention is given to the comparison of the numerical results obtained by the new algorithm with those found by other known methods.  相似文献

This paper deals with the numerical solution of time fractional diffusion equation. In this work, we consider the fractional derivative in the sense of Riemann-Liouville. At first, the time fractional derivative is discretized by integrating both sides of the equation with respect to the time variable and we arrive at a semi–discrete scheme. The stability and convergence of time discretized scheme are proven by using the energy method. Also we show that the convergence order of this scheme is O(τ2?α). Then we use the sinc collocation method to approximate the solution of semi–discrete scheme and show that the problem is reduced to a Sylvester matrix equation. Besides by performing some theorems, the exponential convergence rate of sinc method is illustrated. The numerical experiments are presented to show the excellent behavior and high accuracy of the proposed hybrid method in comparison with some other well known methods.  相似文献

A high‐accuracy numerical approach for a nonhomogeneous time‐fractional diffusion equation with Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions is described in this paper. The time‐fractional derivative is described in the sense of Riemann‐Liouville and discretized by the backward Euler scheme. A fourth‐order optimal cubic B‐spline collocation (OCBSC) method is used to discretize the space variable. The stability analysis with respect to time discretization is carried out, and it is shown that the method is unconditionally stable. Convergence analysis of the method is performed. Two numerical examples are considered to demonstrate the performance of the method and validate the theoretical results. It is shown that the proposed method is of order Ox4 + Δt2 ? α) convergence, where α ∈ (0,1) . Moreover, the impact of fractional‐order derivative on the solution profile is investigated. Numerical results obtained by the present method are compared with those obtained by the method based on standard cubic B‐spline collocation method. The CPU time for present numerical method and the method based on cubic B‐spline collocation method are provided.  相似文献

Fractional order nonlinear Klein‐Gordon equations (KGEs) have been widely studied in the fields like; nonlinear optics, solid state physics, and quantum field theory. In this article, with help of the Sumudu decomposition method (SDM), a numerical scheme is developed for the solution of fractional order nonlinear KGEs involving the Caputo's fractional derivative. The coupled method provides us very efficient numerical scheme in terms of convergent series. The iterative scheme is applied to illustrative examples for the demonstration and applications.  相似文献

Numerical Solution of the Bagley-Torvik Equation   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
We consider the numerical solution of the Bagley-Torvik equation Ay(t) + BD * 3/2 y(t) + Cy(t) = f(t), as a prototype fractional differential equation with two derivatives. Approximate solutions have recently been proposed in the book and papers of Podlubny in which the solution obtained with approximate methods is compared to the exact solution. In this paper we consider the reformulation of the Bagley-Torvik equation as a system of fractional differential equations of order 1/2. This allows us to propose numerical methods for its solution which are consistent and stable and have arbitrarily high order. In this context we specifically look at fractional linear multistep methods and a predictor-corrector method of Adams type.  相似文献

A new shifted Chebyshev operational matrix (SCOM) of fractional integration of arbitrary order is introduced and applied together with spectral tau method for solving linear fractional differential equations (FDEs). The fractional integration is described in the Riemann–Liouville sense. The numerical approach is based on the shifted Chebyshev tau method. The main characteristic behind the approach using this technique is that only a small number of shifted Chebyshev polynomials is needed to obtain a satisfactory result. Illustrative examples reveal that the present method is very effective and convenient for linear multi-term FDEs.  相似文献

In this paper, an efficient and accurate computational method based on the Chebyshev wavelets (CWs) together with spectral Galerkin method is proposed for solving a class of nonlinear multi-order fractional differential equations (NMFDEs). To do this, a new operational matrix of fractional order integration in the Riemann–Liouville sense for the CWs is derived. Hat functions (HFs) and the collocation method are employed to derive a general procedure for forming this matrix. By using the CWs and their operational matrix of fractional order integration and Galerkin method, the problems under consideration are transformed into corresponding nonlinear systems of algebraic equations, which can be simply solved. Moreover, a new technique for computing nonlinear terms in such problems is presented. Convergence of the CWs expansion in one dimension is investigated. Furthermore, the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method are shown on some concrete examples. The obtained results reveal that the proposed method is very accurate and efficient. As a useful application, the proposed method is applied to obtain an approximate solution for the fractional order Van der Pol oscillator (VPO) equation.  相似文献
