Spectral properties of 1-D Schrödinger operators with local point interactions on a discrete set are well studied when d:=infn,kN|xnxk|>0. Our paper is devoted to the case d=0. We consider HX,α in the framework of extension theory of symmetric operators by applying the technique of boundary triplets and the corresponding Weyl functions.We show that the spectral properties of HX,α like self-adjointness, discreteness, and lower semiboundedness correlate with the corresponding spectral properties of certain classes of Jacobi matrices. Based on this connection, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the operators HX,α to be self-adjoint, lower semibounded, and discrete in the case d=0.The operators with δ-type interactions are investigated too. The obtained results demonstrate that in the case d=0, as distinguished from the case d>0, the spectral properties of the operators with δ- and δ-type interactions are substantially different.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the distribution and simultaneous bifurcation of limit cycles bifurcated from the two periodic annuli of the holomorphic differential equation , after a small polynomial perturbation. We first show that, under small perturbations of the form , where is a polynomial of degree 2m−1 in which the power of z is odd and the power of is even, the only possible distribution of limit cycles is (u,u) for all values of u=0,1,2,…,m−3. Hence, the sharp upper bound for the number of limit cycles bifurcated from each two period annuli of is m−3, for m≥4. Then we consider a perturbation of the form , where is a polynomial of degree m in which the power of z is odd and obtain the upper bound m−5, for m≥6. Moreover, we show that the distribution (u,v) of limit cycles is possible for 0≤um−5, 0≤vm−5 with u+vm−2 and m≥9.  相似文献

The classical singular value decomposition for a matrix ACm×n is a canonical form for A that also displays the eigenvalues of the Hermitian matrices AA and AA. In this paper, we develop a corresponding decomposition for A that provides the Jordan canonical forms for the complex symmetric matrices and . We study a class of Schrödinger operators of the form , where is a nonnegative function singular at 0, that is V(0)=0. Under suitable assumptions on the potential V, we derive sharp lower and upper bounds for the fundamental solution hε. Moreover, we obtain information on the spectrum of the self-adjoint operator defined by Lε in L2(R). In particular, we give a lower bound for the eigenvalues.  相似文献

The theory of the direct and bitangential inverse input impedance problem is used to solve the direct and bitangential inverse spectral problem. The analysis of the direct spectral problem uses and extends a number of results that appear in the literature. Special attention is paid to the class of canonical integral systems with matrizants that are strongly regular J-inner matrix valued functions in the sense introduced in [7]. The bitangential inverse spectral problem is solved in this class. In our considerations, the data for this inverse problem is a given nondecreasing p×p matrix valued function σ(μ) on and a normalized monotonic continuous chain of pairs , of entire inner p×p matrix valued functions. Each such chain defines a class of canonical integral systems in which we find a solution of the inverse problem for the given spectral function σ(μ). A detailed comparison of our investigations of inverse problems with those of Sakhnovich is presented.  相似文献

The Hermite-Bell polynomials are defined by for n=0,1,2,… and integer r≥2 and generalise the classical Hermite polynomials corresponding to r=2. We obtain an asymptotic expansion for as n using the method of steepest descents. For a certain value of x, two saddle points coalesce and a uniform approximation in terms of Airy functions is given to cover this situation. An asymptotic approximation for the largest positive zeros of is derived as n. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the accuracy of the various expansions.  相似文献

The Darbouxian theory of integrability allows to determine when a polynomial differential system in has a first integral of the kind f1λ1?fpλpexp(g/h) where fi, g and h are polynomials in , and for i=1,…,p. The functions of this form are called Darbouxian functions. Here, we solve the inverse problem, i.e. we characterize the polynomial vector fields in having a given Darbouxian function as a first integral.On the other hand, using information about the degree of the invariant algebraic curves of a polynomial vector field, we improve the conditions for the existence of an integrating factor in the Darbouxian theory of integrability.  相似文献

Given a piecewise continuous function and a projection P1 onto a subspace X1 of CN, we investigate the injectivity, surjectivity and, more generally, the Fredholm properties of the ordinary differential operator with boundary condition . This operator acts from the “natural” space into L2×X1. A main novelty is that it is not assumed that A is bounded or that has any dichotomy, except to discuss the impact of the results on this special case. We show that all the functional properties of interest, including the characterization of the Fredholm index, can be related to the existence of a selfadjoint solution H of the Riccati differential inequality . Special attention is given to the simple case when H=A+A satisfies this inequality. When H is known, all the other hypotheses and criteria are easily verifiable in most concrete problems.  相似文献

We establish that, given a compact Abelian group G endowed with a continuous length function l and a sequence (Hn)nN of closed subgroups of G converging to G for the Hausdorff distance induced by l, then is the quantum Gromov-Hausdorff limit of any sequence for the natural quantum metric structures and when the lifts of σn to converge pointwise to σ. This allows us in particular to approximate the quantum tori by finite-dimensional C*-algebras for the quantum Gromov-Hausdorff distance. A new numerical technique for solving the generalized Sturm-Liouville problem , bl[w(0),λ]=br[w(1),λ]=0 is presented. In particular, we consider the problems when the coefficient q(x,λ) or the boundary conditions depend on the spectral parameter λ in an arbitrary nonlinear manner. The method presented is based on mathematically modelling the physical response of a system to excitation over a range of frequencies. The response amplitudes are then used to determine the eigenvalues.The results of the numerical experiments justifying the method are presented.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence, smoothness and attractivity of invariant manifolds for evolutionary processes on general Banach spaces when the nonlinear perturbation has a small global Lipschitz constant and locally Ck-smooth near the trivial solution. Such a nonlinear perturbation arises in many applications through the usual cut-off procedure, but the requirement in the existing literature that the nonlinear perturbation is globally Ck-smooth and has a globally small Lipschitz constant is hardly met in those systems for which the phase space does not allow a smooth cut-off function. Our general results are illustrated by and applied to partial functional differential equations for which the phase space (where r>0 and being a Banach space) has no smooth inner product structure and for which the validity of variation-of-constants formula is still an interesting open problem.  相似文献
