We prove a general optimal Lp-Euclidean logarithmic Sobolev inequality by using Prékopa-Leindler inequality and a special Hamilton-Jacobi equation. In particular we generalize the inequality proved by Del Pino and Dolbeault in (J. Funt. Anal.).  相似文献

We revisit two results of  [3]; they are a logarithmic Sobolev inequality on RnRn with Lipschitz constants and an expression of Lipschitz constants as the limit of a functional by the entropy. We have two goals in this paper. The first goal is to clarify when the strict inequality holds in this inequality. The second goal is to investigate the asymptotic behavior of this functional by the Abelian and Tauberian theorems of Laplace transforms.  相似文献

The deficit in the logarithmic Sobolev inequality for the Gaussian measure is considered and estimated by means of transport and information-theoretic distances.  相似文献

In this paper, we give an optimal logarithmic Sobolev inequality on Rn with Lipschitz constants. This inequality is a limit case of the Lp-logarithmic Sobolev inequality of Gentil (2003) [7] as p→∞. As a result of our inequality, we show that if a Lipschitz continuous function f on Rn fulfills some condition, then its Lipschitz constant can be expressed by using the entropy of f. We also show that a hypercontractivity of exponential type occurs in the heat equation on Rn. This is due to the Lipschitz regularizing effect of the heat equation.  相似文献

It is well known that the doubly weighted Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality is as follows,Z Rn Z Rn f(x)g(y)|x||x.y||y|dxdy6 B(p,q,,,,n)kfkLp(Rn)kgkLq(Rn).The main purpose of this paper is to give the sharp constants B(p,q,,,,n)for the above inequality for three cases:(i)p=1 and q=1;(ii)p=1 and 1q 6∞,or 1p 6∞and q=1;(iii)1p,q∞and 1p+1q=1.In addition, the explicit bounds can be obtained for the case 1p,q∞and 1p+1q1.  相似文献

We prove a new inequality which improves on the classical Hardy inequality in the sense that a nonlinear integral quantity with super-quadratic growth, which is computed with respect to an inverse square weight, is controlled by the energy. This inequality differs from standard logarithmic Sobolev inequalities in the sense that the measure is neither Lebesgue's measure nor a probability measure. All terms are scale invariant. After an Emden-Fowler transformation, the inequality can be rewritten as an optimal inequality of logarithmic Sobolev type on the cylinder. Explicit expressions of the sharp constant, as well as minimizers, are established in the radial case. However, when no symmetry is imposed, the sharp constants are not achieved by radial functions, in some range of the parameters.  相似文献

We give a criterion for the logarithmic Sobolev inequality (LSI) on the product space X1×?×XN. We have in mind an N-site lattice, unbounded continuous spin variables, and Glauber dynamics. The interactions are described by the Hamiltonian H of the Gibbs measure. The criterion for LSI is formulated in terms of the LSI constants of the single-site conditional measures and the size of the off-diagonal entries of the Hessian of H. It is optimal for Gaussians with positive covariance matrix. To illustrate, we give two applications: one with weak interactions and one with strong interactions and a decay of correlations condition.  相似文献

We validate the conjectured logarithmic Minkowski inequality, and thus the equivalent logarithmic Brunn–Minkowski inequality, in some particular cases and we prove some variants of the logarithmic Minkowski inequality for general convex bodies without the symmetry assumption. An application of one of these variants is shown.  相似文献

In the special case when and , we classify all the solutions and thus obtain the best constant in the corresponding weighted Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality.

We present a general criteria to prove that a probability measure satisfies a logarithmic Sobolev inequality, knowing that some of its marginals and associated conditional laws satisfy a logarithmic Sobolev inequality. This is a generalization of a result by N. Grunewald et al. [N. Grunewald, F. Otto, C. Villani, M.G. Westdickenberg, A two-scale approach to logarithmic Sobolev inequalities and the hydrodynamic limit, Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Probab. Statist., in press].  相似文献

For conformal Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev(HLS) inequalities [22] and reversed conformal HLS inequalities [8] on $\mathbb{S}^n,$ a new proof is given for the attainability of their sharp constants. Classical methods used in [22] and [8] depends on rearrangement inequalities. Here, we use the subcritical approach to construct the extremal sequence and circumvent the blow-up phenomenon by renormalization method. The merit of the method is that it does not rely on rearrangement inequalities.  相似文献

We give a Lorentzian metric on the null congruence associated with a timelike conformal vector field. A Liouville type theorem is proved and a boundedness for the volume of the null congruence, analogous to a well-known Berger-Green theorem in the Riemannian case, will be derived by studying conjugate points along null geodesics. As a consequence, several classification results on certain compact Lorentzian manifolds without conjugate points on its null geodesics are obtained. Finally, several properties of null geodesics of a natural Lorentzian metric on each odd-dimensional sphere have been found.

In order to extend the blow-up criterion of solutions to the Euler equations, Kozono and Taniuchi [H. Kozono, Y. Taniuchi, Limiting case of the Sobolev inequality in BMO, with application to the Euler equations, Comm. Math. Phys. 214 (2000) 191-200] have proved a logarithmic Sobolev inequality by means of isotropic (elliptic) BMO norm. In this paper, we show a parabolic version of the Kozono-Taniuchi inequality by means of anisotropic (parabolic) BMO norm. More precisely we give an upper bound for the L norm of a function in terms of its parabolic BMO norm, up to a logarithmic correction involving its norm in some Sobolev space. As an application, we also explain how to apply this inequality in order to establish a long-time existence result for a class of nonlinear parabolic problems.  相似文献

We present the best constant and the extremal functions for an Improved Hardy-Sobolev inequality. We prove that, under a proper transformation, this inequality is equivalent to the Sobolev inequality in RN.  相似文献

Let (M,g) be a compact Riemannian manifold without boundary, and (N,g) a compact Riemannian manifold with boundary. We will prove in this paper that the and can be attained. Our proof uses the blow-up analysis.  相似文献

Upper bounds are obtained for the heat content of an open set D in a complete Riemannian manifold, provided the Dirichlet-Laplace-Beltrami operator satisfies a strong Hardy inequality, and the distance function on D satisfies an integrability condition.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the existence of the optimal control for an optimal control problem where the state of the system is defined by a variational inequality problem with monotone type mappings. Moreover, as an application, we get several existence results of an optimal control for the optimal control problem where the system is defined by a quasilinear elliptic variational inequality problem with an obstacle.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to study the validity of theHausdorff–Young inequality for vector-valued functionsdefined on a non-commutative compact group. As we explain inthe introduction, the natural context for this research is thatof operator spaces. This leads us to formulate a whole new theoryof Fourier type and cotype for the category of operator spaces. The present paper is the first step in this program, where thebasic theory is presented, the main examples are analyzed andsome important questions are posed. 2000 Mathematics SubjectClassification 43A77, 46L07.  相似文献
