The current-voltage characteristics of the discharge in multipoint to plane geometry have been studied experimentally. In this electrode configuration the space charge produced by each point influences the discharge processes from adjacent points. The total current and the current from one of the discharge points isolated from the rest of the electrode have been measured. The current-voltage characteristics have been examined for both positive and negative polarities as a function of interpoint distances and interelectrode spacing. The power per unit volume of the discharge has been determined for the different geometrical parameters of the reactor. In the present paper, an analytical approach is proposed to determine the radial distributions of electric field, electrons, ion densities and temperature of a DC corona discharge in wire-to-cylinder geometry, using oxygen as feed gas. The current–voltage (CV) characteristic measured in experiments is used as an input in the calculation. The objective of this work is to provide approximated analytical solutions of the corona discharge with low computational cost, which can be useful in different technological applications, such as the generation of ozone or the decomposition of pollutant gases. The predictions of the analytical model are compared with the results obtained from a much more complete numerical simulation.  相似文献

本文基于流体动力学理论改进出一种新的棒-板电极负电晕放电混合数值模型, 模型中加入了27种主要碰撞反应, 并考虑了光电离和二次电子发射过程. 对棒-板间距3.3 mm, 施加电压-5.0 kV情况下进行数值计算, 得到负电晕放电的特里切尔脉冲. 重点分析了单个特里切尔脉冲持续过程中5个关键时刻的微观特征量发展规律, 丰富并量化描述了特里切尔脉冲的微观过程, 主要结论如下: 随着放电时间的发展, 电场集中分布区域向阳极移动且幅值变小, 这对电子崩的发展非常不利. 大部分放电区域都是电中性的, 只有在阴极鞘和阳极鞘附近有带正电的等离子体特性, 带负电的离子云随着放电时间的发展缓慢向阳极发散式移动. 整个特里切尔脉冲持续过程中, 阴极鞘内电子密度几乎为0; 特里切尔脉冲前期, 阴极鞘附近电子密度迅速增加至最大值并保持基本不变; 随着放电时间的增加, 放电间隙内电子密度整体增加, 并且向阳极发展. 在特里切尔脉冲后期, 电子的产生主要来自于N2和O2的碰撞电离, 电子的消失则主要由N2+的复合决定, O4+和O2-分别是数量最多的正离子和负离子. 关键词: 负电晕 混合模型 特里切尔脉冲 微观特征量  相似文献

研制了一种电晕放电均压的小型多间隙串联气体开关,分析了电晕放电在开关工作过程中的作用,开展了开关自击穿特性、电晕放电伏安特性、针尖烧蚀以及开关寿命测试等特性实验。结果表明:老练后开关自击穿电压标准偏差小于3.5%,电晕均压效果明显;随着放电次数增加,电晕针尖逐渐钝化,触发性能变化不大;开关电晕放电电流随耐受电压升高增大,增长趋势逐渐变快;开关充400 kPa干燥空气,100 kV工作电压下开关放电50 000次以上,触发性能稳定,触发击穿时延抖动约4.3 ns,自放电概率低于110-4。  相似文献

利用多针电晕增强放电装置,在无气流和存在高速气流的情况下都得到了稳定的大气压辉光.通过纪录发光图片、电流-电压波形和伏安特性曲线的方法对影响放电稳定性的因素做了细致地研究,发现了在从电晕放电到辉光放电的过程中存在着过渡阶段,表现为出现带有直流成分的Trichel脉冲.气流速度、极板间距以及针尖锥度和凹坑曲率半径的匹配程度都对放电的稳定性和电流密度有着重要的影响. 关键词: 大气压辉光放电 多针电晕 等离子体  相似文献

A model is presented for the electrostatic corona discharge reactor (ECDR) in a pin-plate configuration. The main objective is to describe the fundamental chemistry and physics governing the discharge behavior and to predict the ECDR performance under various operating conditions. The electric field strength is estimated assuming a space-charge-free field. A two-term spherical harmonic expansion is used to solve the Boltzmann equation for the electron energy distribution function (EEDF) and calculate the electron-molecule reaction rates using collision cross-section data. Species continuity equations are solved for the dry and wet air systems to predict ozone and NOx at various feed flow rates (1630, 4890, 14, 670 cm/s) and an applied voltage of 10 kV. Among the various results reported, it is noted that the calculations indicate the Maxwell EEDF cannot be used because it overpredicts the electron-molecule rate coefficients by several orders of magnitude  相似文献

利用发射光谱技术在大气压下测量了空气中多针对板负直流电晕放电和正电晕流光放电产生的O(3p5 P→3s 5 S02777.4nm)活性原子发射光谱。在负电晕放电中,研究了放电功率、电极间距、N2含量和相对湿度等因素对O活性原子产生过程的影响;在正电晕流光放电阶段,研究了O活性原子相对密度在放电反应空间的分布特点。结果表明:O活性原子产量随放电功率的增加而增大,随电极间距增大而减少,随相对湿度和氮气含量的增加,其产量先增大后减少;O活性原子相对密度沿针尖轴向呈先增大后减小的趋势。  相似文献

The results of investigation of the electrical and optical characteristics of a negative corona discharge in the electrode system of the type needle-grid lit in a He/Xe/SF6 mixture under the pressure of 100–300 kPa are presented in this paper. The given medium is working for a pulse-periodic excimer lamp on = 351 nm XeF(B–X). Distributed on the length of a lamp active media a bipolar corona discharge is intended for using in the electric circulation of the XeF-lamp working medium. It is shown that the given discharge is ignited steadily in the He/Xe/SF6 mixture, containing 0, 5kPa SF6 molecules and is characterised by a low power consumption; the current of the discharge is limited to the development of instability by increasing the voltage on the needles; in hot zones of corona discharge SF6 molecules cause the effective population 6s of XeI state.  相似文献

The processes of ozone generation in non-thermal plasma produced by an electrical discharge in air at atmospheric pressure are burdened by the presence of nitrogen oxides, which on the one hand contribute to ozone generation and on the other hand are responsible for unpleasant discharge poisoning. The term discharge poisoning refers to the situation when the discharge ozone formation completely breaks down. Discharge poisoning can be affected by placing a catalyst in the discharge chamber. For the dc hollow needle to mesh corona discharge enhanced by the flow of air through the needle electrode we studied the effect of titanium dioxide TiO2, ZSM-5 zeolite or Cu++ZSM-5 zeolite on discharge poisoning by monitoring the ozone, nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide discharge production. We found that placing globules of any of these catalysts on the mesh decreases the energy density of the onset of discharge poisoning, and this energy density is smallest for a discharge with globules of a TiO2 on the mesh.  相似文献

A numerical study of a negative corona discharge in nitrogen in a point-plane gap using a Monte Carlo method is presented. The simulation provides a detailed structure of avalanches, propagation of successive avalanches and ion distribution can be discerned. The development of electron avalanches is due to ionization and photoionization in the high-field region, while the quenching of the avalanches is due to the low electric field near the plane electrode. Also the accumulation of electrons and positive ions are displayed in detail. The space charge field distortion is studied.  相似文献

Numerical computation of the electric field strength and ionic space charge density in electrode systems consisting of ionizing wire and non-ionizing cylinder, connected to the same DC high-voltage supply and facing a grounded plate, is a difficult problem, which is of interest to several electrostatic processes applications. In a previous study a simple numerical method has been proposed to calculate the spatial distributions of electric field and ionic space charge in a case of a continuum and uniform corona discharge originating at the surface of the wire. The aim of the present paper is to improve the physical model of the corona discharge in this particular electrode configuration, by assuming a more realistic law of charge injection on the wire circumference. The computations were carried out for an ionizing wire of radius r=0.1 mm, located at different distances h from a metallic tubular support of radius R=13.4 mm.The initial conditions of the corona discharge took into account the non-uniformity of the charge injection around the ionizing wire electrode. The computational results were compared with those obtained under the assumption of uniform corona discharge. The comparison pointed out that neither the non-uniformity of the electric field nor that of the charge injection can be neglected. They depend on the geometry of the electrode system and affect the distribution of the electric field and of the space charge density in the inter-electrode gap.  相似文献

We report on the results of experimental investigation of a pulsed corona discharge in electric fields with different degrees of nonuniformity under the action of a standard thunderstorm pulse in a wide range of voltages from the origination threshold to the breakdown. A high-sensitivity video camera makes it possible to record microdischarge and streamer processes in air long before the spark breakdown. It is known that the size of the corona discharge sheath increases with the supplied voltage, and the shape of the corona sheath depends on the polarity of the active electrode [1, 2]. It was demonstrated for the first time by Peek [3] that the range of voltages from the initiation of a corona discharge to the spark breakdown increases with the degree of nonuniformity of the electric field. We show that an analogous pattern is observed for a pulsed corona also. Our results show that the form of a pulsed corona discharge considerably depends on the pulse polarity, and a spark breakdown becomes possible when most branches in the streamer corona cover the electrode gap.  相似文献

In this paper, the corona discharge characterization in terms of current–voltage relationships of a unipolar cylindrical tri-axial charger on the effects of the corona wire diameter and length have been experimentally studied and discussed. A commercial computational fluid dynamics software package, COMSOL Multiphysics™, was used to predict the electric field distribution in the ion generation and charging zones of the charger and the ion penetration through the perforated screen opening on the inner electrode of the charger. It was found from experimental results that both positive and negative charging currents in the charging zone of the charger increased with increasing corona and ion-driving voltages. At the same corona and ion-driving voltages, both positive and negative coronas were decreased with increasing diameter of the corona-wire. Compared with the corona-wire of 22 mm in length, the magnitude of both positive and negative charging currents were markedly higher for corona-wire of 11 mm in length at the same corona voltage. It was found that the charging currents for negative coronas were about 1.2 times higher than those positive coronas at the same corona and ion-driving voltages. Numerical results of the electric field distribution and the ion and charged particles migrations in the discharge and charging zones of the charger is correlated to have the same direction with the experimental results of the current–voltage relationships. Also, this can be used to guidance in describing the electric field distribution and the behavior of ion and charged particle trajectories that cannot be seen from experiments in order to improve the applicably design and refinement of a unipolar cylindrical tri-axial charger.  相似文献
