Using the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green function technique, we study the current and shot noise spectroscopy of an interacting quantum dot coupled to two ferromagnetic leads with different polarizations in the Kondo regime. General formulas of current and shot noise are obtained, which can be applied in both the parallel (P) and antiparallel (AP) alignment cases. For large polarization values, it is revealed that the behaviour of differential conductance and shot noise are completely different for spin up and spin down configurations in the P alignment case. However, the differential conductance and shot noise have similar properties for different spin configurations in the P alignment case with the small polarization value and in the AP alignment case with any polarization value.  相似文献

Nickel and cobalt films illustrate alternative Bloch lines with cap switches. The strip magnetic domains become zigzag and bubbling cells for Ni and Co films, respectively, under an external field of 1.5 T. The magnetoresistances (MR) for currents parallel (CIW) to the domain walls is 15% less than those of the perpendicular (CPW) case. We also studied the magneto size effect by applying the magnetic field normal to the surface, from which the Sondheimer oscillation appears attributing to periodic striking of the surface for electrons traveling in circular motion on a plane canting to the surface. The experiments can be expressed by the magneto size effect inherited with very small specularity parameters.  相似文献

Based on the convention that the velocity of light is isotropic and is a constant in empty spacetime, we not only answer the question about the definition of the synchronization of rate of clocks located at different places, but also find the solution to the issue of how to define the equality of two durations in measurement of time.  相似文献

Variation of packing density in particle deforming from spheres to cubes is studied. A new model is presented to describe particle deformation between different particle shapes. Deformation is simulated by relative motion of component spheres in the sphere assembly model of a particle. Random close packings of particles in deformation form spheres to cubes are simulated with an improved relaxation algorithm. Packings in both 2D and 3D cases are simulated. With the simulations, we find that the packing density increases while the particle sphericity decreases in the deformation. Spheres and cubes give the minimum (0.6404) and maximum (0.7755) of packing density in the deformation respectively. In each deforming step, packings starting from a random configuration and from the final packing of last deforming step are both simulated. The packing density in the latter case is larger than the former in two dimensions, but is smaller in three dimensions. The deformation model can be applied to other particle shapes as well.  相似文献

We report on experimental observation of electromagnetically induced transparency and slow-light (vg ≈ c/607) in atomic sodium vapor, as a potential medium for a recently proposed experiment on slow-light enhanced relative rotation sensing [Shahriar et al. Phys. Rev. Lett. (submitted for publication), http://arxiv.org/abs/quant-ph/0505192.]. We have performed an interferometric measurement of the index variation associated with a two-photon resonance to estimate the dispersion characteristics of the medium that are relevant to the slow-light based rotation sensing scheme. We also show that the presence of counter-propagating pump beams in an optical Sagnac loop produces a backward optical phase conjugation beam that can generate spurious signals, which may complicate the measurement of small rotations in the slow-light enhanced gyroscope. We identify techniques for overcoming this constraint. Conclusions reached from the results presented here will pave the way for designing and carrying out an experiment that will demonstrate the slow-light induced enhancement of rotation sensing.  相似文献

We report on the analysis of optical transmittance spectra and the resulting ferromagnetic characteristics of sputtered Zn1−xCoxO films. Zn1−xCoxO films were prepared on (0001)-oriented Al2O3 substrates by the radio-frequency (rf) magnetron co-sputtering method. The XRD results showed that the crystallinity of films was properly maintained up to x=0.30 and no second phase peaks were detected up to x=0.40. The transmittance spectra showed both the increase of the absorption band intensity and the red shift of the absorption peak as well as the band edge with increasing x. We have proved experimentally that these changes depend on Co concentration. These optical properties suggest that sp-d exchange interactions and typical d-d transitions become activated with increasing x, which leads to the enhancement of ferromagnetic properties in Zn1−xCoxO films as shown in the AGM results. Therefore, it is concluded that the ferromagnetism derives from the substitution of Co2+ for Zn2+ without changing the wurtzite structure.  相似文献

The fractal analysis is carried out to study the influence of adsorption of polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate (Tween 80) on the surface properties of graphite. The surface fractal dimension (dSF), BET surface area (SBET) and pore size distribution (PSD) are calculated from low temperature nitrogen adsorption isotherms. The decline in the dSF of graphite surface is found as the adsorption amount of Tween 80 increases, which suggests that the adsorbed Tween 80 smoothes the graphite surface. Additionally, the observation of atomic force microscopy (AFM) proves that the original slit pores in pure graphite are blocked up and the step defect sites are screened by Tween 80, which may result in the reduction of graphite roughness. The PSD pattern of graphite changes after the adsorption due to the pore blocking effect. SBET of the graphite decreases as the adsorption amount of Tween 80 increases, which is attributed to both pore blocking effect and surface screening effect.  相似文献

Macroscopic resistivity measurements have been performed on TiC/Al2O3 random mixtures submitted to uniaxial compression (0-95 kN). Such a random mixture exhibits an insulator-conductor transition which appears at increasing force while decreasing the conductive composition of the TiC/Al2O3 mixture. It is demonstrated that the conductivity behavior may be understood in the framework of a site percolation model. Finally, the rate of creation of the contacts between conductive grains is extracted from the macroscopic resistivity measurements. Reduction of multi-photon ionization in dielectrics due to collisions   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The collisional effect due to the multi-photon ionization process in dielectric material has been studied. We found that the breakdown threshold of fused silica is the same for both linearly and circularly polarized light at 55 fs and 100 fs, which we believe is an indication of the suppression of multi-photon ionization in solids. By numerically solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation with scattering, for the first time, we have observed substantial reduction of the multi-photon ionization rate in dielectrics due to collisions.  相似文献

We have investigated the inhibition of two-photon absorption in photonic crystals doped with an ensemble of four-level nanoparticles. The particles are interacting with one another by the dipole-dipole interaction. Dipoles in nanoparticles are induced by a selected transition. Numerical simulations have been performed for an isotropic photonic crystal. Interesting phenomena have been predicted such as the inhibition of the two-photon absorption due to the dipole-dipole interaction. It has also been found that the inhibition effect can be switched on and off by tuning a decay resonance energy within the energy band of the crystal. A theory of dressed states has been used to explain the results.  相似文献

We study electron transport through a quantum dot, connected to non-magnetic leads, in a magnetic field. A super-Poissonian electron noise due to the effects of both interacting localized states and dynamic channel blockade is found when the Coulomb blockade is partially lifted. This is sharp contrast to the sub-Poissonian shot noise found in the previous studies for a large bias voltage, where the Coulomb blockade is completely lifted. Moreover, we show that the super-Poissonian shot noise can be suppressed by applying an electron spin resonance (ESR) driving field. For a sufficiently strong ESR driving field strength, the super-Poissonian shot noise will change to be sub-Poissonian.  相似文献

We propose a model composed of spin-polarized itinerant electrons and bosonic spin-wave excitations, and study renormalization of the spin-polarized itinerant electron bands due to electron-magnon scattering. Spin-polarized kink structures are predicted in the normal state quasiparticle dynamics of ferromagnetic superconductor as UGe2. It is suggested that the angle-resolved photoemission experiment may be helpful in this respect.  相似文献

To fine the reasons for the distortion of a cylindrical hollow cathode into a row of hollow spheres, the system of diffusion equations for the three most important types of particles in the hollow cathode discharge is solved, taking into consideration the essential source terms. In qualitative agreement with the experiments, the results show inhomogeneities of the cathode erosion at the cathode edges and at the boundary between hollow cathode discharge and normal glow discharge areas.  相似文献

We explore the effects of atomic memory on quantum correlations of two-mode light fields from four-wave mixing. A three-level atomic system in A configuration is considered, in which the atomic relaxation times are comparable to or longer than the cavity relaxation times and thus there exists the atomic memory. The quantum correlation spectrum in the output is calculated without the adiabatic elimination of atomic variables. It is shown that the continuous variable entanglement is enhanced over a wide range of the normalized detuning in the intermediate and bad cavity cases compared with the good cavity case. In some situations more significant enhancement occurs at sidebands.  相似文献

Photocurrent spectrum in homoepitaxal diamond film formed by chemical vapor deposition has been measured in the photon energy range 5-6 eV of the vicinity of the indirect band gap. It has been seen that the line shape of the spectrum in the photon energy range lower than 5.6 eV agrees with the fundamental absorption edge spectrum in natural diamond. Structures in the spectrum have been explained from the optical transition due to indirect excitons assisted by TO phonons and indirect band-to-band transition.  相似文献

The additional V(z) oscillations and pulses are predicted in the case of positive defocusing (focus above the sample surface) in acoustic microscopy of anisotropic plates exhibiting negative refraction of acoustic rays. A geometrical model for an electrochemical etching (ECE) track in a dielectric detector is defined and a primaxy programme is written to generate the track. The generated track is transformed to an M× N matrix of primary voltages. Using a numerical method, the matrix of final voltages is computed, and using another numerical approach, the electric field strengths in the elements of detector volume are computed. The final field strength at the end of particle trajectory is obtained. The results of our numerical computation show that there are exact correlations between the field strength at the end of particle trajectory and the parameters of track under ECE. It is found that although two traditional models of Mason and Smythe in dielectrics can be partly applied for short and long tracks, none of them are able to explain the behaviour of field strength in a ‘general case'. Furthermore, we find that there is an expressive relationship between the field strength and the incidence angle of impacted particle, while the mentioned traditional models are not able to explain this effect.  相似文献

Weakly nonlinear spatially periodic patterns coupled to a Goldstone (zero) mode of the phase-field crystal model are investigated. Rotationally invariant equations for the dynamics of the amplitudes of a hexagonal pattern are derived first, which then allows us to determine stability regions for stripes and hexagons. There are parameter regimes in which all periodic patterns become unstable as a result of long-wavelength instabilities generated by the zero mode.  相似文献

The surface morphology of dry and swollen Nafion films was investigated on the micrometer and nanometer scale by scanning force microscopy. The results show that the disordered network structure of dry films undergoes a reorganization process in the course of swelling and transforms into an ordered structure of parallel fibrils. No substantial changes in the fibril dimensions were found in the swollen state. This can be an indicator that swelling occurs at the supramolecular level.  相似文献
