We consider probability measures on the real line or unit circle with Jacobi or Verblunsky coefficients satisfying an ? p condition and a generalized bounded variation condition. This latter condition requires that a sequence can be expressed as a sum of sequences ?? (l), each of which has rotated bounded variation, i.e., $$\sum_{n=0}^\infty \vert e^{i\phi_l}\beta_{n+1}^{(l)} -\beta_n^{(l)}\vert < \infty$$ for some ${\phi_l}$ . This includes a large class of discrete Schr?dinger operators with almost periodic potentials modulated by ? p decay, i.e. linear combinations of ${\lambda_n {\rm cos}(2\pi\alpha n + \phi)}$ with ${\lambda \in \ell^p}$ of bounded variation and any ??. In all cases, we prove absence of singular continuous spectrum, preservation of absolutely continuous spectrum from the corresponding free case, and that pure points embedded in the continuous spectrum can only occur in an explicit finite set.  相似文献

The Schrödinger difference operator considered here has the form $$(H_\varepsilon (\alpha )\psi )(n) = - (\psi (n + 1) + \psi (n - 1)) + V(n\omega + \alpha )\psi (n)$$ whereV is aC 2-periodic Morse function taking each value at not more than two points. It is shown that for sufficiently small? the operatorH ?(α) has for a.e.α a pure point spectrum. The corresponding eigenfunctions decay exponentially outside a finite set. The integrated density of states is an incomplete devil's staircase with infinitely many flat pieces.  相似文献

On the basis of the analysis of the adele group (Tate's formula), a regularization for the divergent infinite product ofp-adic Г-functions $$\Gamma _p (\alpha ) = \frac{{1 - p^{\alpha - 1} }}{{[ - p^{ - \alpha } }}$$ is proposed, and the adelic formula is proved $$reg\coprod\limits_{p = 2}^\infty {\Gamma _p (\alpha )} = \frac{{\zeta (\alpha )}}{{\zeta (1 - \alpha )}}$$ whereζ(α) is the Riemannζ-function.  相似文献

We derive model independent lower bounds for the sums of effective quark masses \(\bar m_u + \bar m_d \) and \(\bar m_u + \bar m_s \) . The bounds follow from the combination of the spectral representation properties of the hadronic axial currents two-point functions and their behavior in the deep euclidean region (known from a perturbative QCD calculation to two loops and the leading non-perturbative contribution). The bounds incorporate PCAC in the Nambu-Goldstone version. If we define the invariant masses \(\hat m\) by $$\bar m_i = \hat m_i \left( {{{\frac{1}{2}\log Q^2 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\frac{1}{2}\log Q^2 } {\Lambda ^2 }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\Lambda ^2 }}} \right)^{{{\gamma _1 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\gamma _1 } {\beta _1 }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\beta _1 }}} $$ and <F 2> is the vacuum expectation value of $$F^2 = \Sigma _a F_{(a)}^{\mu v} F_{\mu v(a)} $$ , we find, e.g., $$\hat m_u + \hat m_d \geqq \sqrt {\frac{{2\pi }}{3} \cdot \frac{{8f_\pi m_\pi ^2 }}{{3\left\langle {\alpha _s F^2 } \right\rangle ^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 2}} }}} $$ ; with the value <α u F 2?0.04GeV4, recently suggested by various analysis, this gives $$\hat m_u + \hat m_d \geqq 35MeV$$ . The corresponding bounds on \(\bar m_u + \bar m_s \) are obtained replacingm π 2 f π bym K 2 f K . The PCAC relation can be inverted, and we get upper bounds on the spontaneous masses, \(\hat \mu \) : $$\hat \mu \leqq 170MeV$$ where \(\hat \mu \) is defined by $$\left\langle {\bar \psi \psi } \right\rangle \left( {Q^2 } \right) = \left( {{{\frac{1}{2}\log Q^2 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\frac{1}{2}\log Q^2 } {\Lambda ^2 }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\Lambda ^2 }}} \right)^d \hat \mu ^3 ,d = {{12} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{12} {\left( {33 - 2n_f } \right)}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\left( {33 - 2n_f } \right)}}$$ .  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the spread-out oriented bond percolation models inZ d ×Z withd>4 and the nearest-neighbor oriented bond percolation model in sufficiently high dimensions. Let η n ,n=1, 2, ..., be the random measures defined onR d by $$\eta _n (A) = \sum\limits_{x \in Z^d } {1_A (x/\sqrt n )1_{\{ (0,0) \to (x,n)\} } } $$ The mean of η n , denoted by $\bar \eta _n $ , is the measure defined by $$\bar \eta _n (A) = E_p [\eta _n (A)]$$ We use the lace expansion method to show that the sequence of probability measures $[\bar \eta _n (R^d )]^{ - 1} \bar \eta _n $ converges weakly to a Gaussian limit asn→∞ for everyp in the subcritical regime as well as the critical regime of these percolation models. Also we show that for these models the parallel correlation length $\xi (p)~|p_c - p|^{ - 1} $ asp?pc  相似文献

By the use of complete orthonormal sets of ${\psi ^{(\alpha^{\ast})}}$ -exponential type orbitals ( ${\psi ^{(\alpha^{\ast})}}$ -ETOs) with integer (for α * = α) and noninteger self-frictional quantum number α *(for α * ≠ α) in standard convention introduced by the author, the one-range addition theorems for ${\chi }$ -noninteger n Slater type orbitals ${(\chi}$ -NISTOs) are established. These orbitals are defined as follows $$\begin{array}{ll}\psi _{nlm}^{(\alpha^*)} (\zeta ,\vec {r}) = \frac{(2\zeta )^{3/2}}{\Gamma (p_l ^* + 1)} \left[{\frac{\Gamma (q_l ^* + )}{(2n)^{\alpha ^*}(n - l - 1)!}} \right]^{1/2}e^{-\frac{x}{2}}x^{l}_1 F_1 ({-[ {n - l - 1}]; p_l ^* + 1; x})S_{lm} (\theta ,\varphi )\\ \chi _{n^*lm} (\zeta ,\vec {r}) = (2\zeta )^{3/2}\left[ {\Gamma(2n^* + 1)}\right]^{{-1}/2}x^{n^*-1}e^{-\frac{x}{2}}S_{lm}(\theta ,\varphi ),\end{array}$$ where ${x=2\zeta r, 0<\zeta <\infty , p_l ^{\ast}=2l+2-\alpha ^{\ast}, q_l ^{\ast}=n+l+1-\alpha ^{\ast}, -\infty <\alpha ^{\ast} <3 , -\infty <\alpha \leq 2,_1 F_1 }$ is the confluent hypergeometric function and ${S_{lm} (\theta ,\varphi )}$ are the complex or real spherical harmonics. The origin of the ${\psi ^{(\alpha ^{\ast})} }$ -ETOs, therefore, of the one-range addition theorems obtained in this work for ${\chi}$ -NISTOs is the self-frictional potential of the field produced by the particle itself. The obtained formulas can be useful especially in the electronic structure calculations of atoms, molecules and solids when Hartree–Fock–Roothan approximation is employed.  相似文献

The identity $$\sum\limits_{v = 0} {\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {n + 1} \\ v \\ \end{array} } \right)\left[ {\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {n - v} \\ v \\ \end{array} } \right) - \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {n - v} \\ {v - 1} \\ \end{array} } \right)} \right] = ( - 1)^n } $$ is proved and, by means of it, the coefficients of the decomposition ofD 1 n into irreducible representations are found. It holds: ifD 1 n \(\mathop {\sum ^n }\limits_{m = 0} A_{nm} D_m \) , then $$A_{nm} = \mathop \sum \limits_{\lambda = 0} \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} n \\ \lambda \\ \end{array} } \right)\left[ {\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} \lambda \\ {n - m - \lambda } \\ \end{array} } \right) - \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} \lambda \\ {n - m - \lambda - 1} \\ \end{array} } \right)} \right].$$   相似文献

Given a positive and unitarily invariant Lagrangian ${\mathcal{L}}$ defined in the algebra of matrices, and a fixed time interval ${[0,t_0]\subset\mathbb R}$ , we study the action defined in the Lie group of ${n\times n}$ unitary matrices ${\mathcal{U}(n)}$ by $$\mathcal{S}(\alpha)=\int_0^{t_0} \mathcal{L}(\dot\alpha(t))\,dt, $$ where ${\alpha:[0,t_0]\to\mathcal{U}(n)}$ is a rectifiable curve. We prove that the one-parameter subgroups of ${\mathcal{U}(n)}$ are the optimal paths, provided the spectrum of the exponent is bounded by π. Moreover, if ${\mathcal{L}}$ is strictly convex, we prove that one-parameter subgroups are the unique optimal curves joining given endpoints. Finally, we also study the connection of these results with unitarily invariant metrics in ${\mathcal{U}(n)}$ as well as angular metrics in the Grassmann manifold.  相似文献

A powerful dynamical neutrino source with a hard spectrum obtained via the (n, γ) activation of 7Li and a subsequent β? decay (T 1/2=0.84 s) of 8Li with the emission of high-energy $\tilde \nu _e$ (up to 13 MeV) is discussed. In the dynamical system, lithium is pumped over in a closed cycle through a converter near the reactor core and further to a remote $\tilde \nu _e$ detector. It is shown that, owing to a large growth of the hardness of the total $\tilde \nu _e$ spectrum, the cross section for the interaction with a deuteron can strongly increase both in the neutral ( $\tilde \nu _e + d \uparrow n + p + \tilde \nu _e$ ) and in the charged ( $\tilde \nu _e + d \uparrow n + n + e^ +$ ) channel in relation to the analogous cross sections in the reactor $\tilde \nu _e$ spectrum.  相似文献

A unified gauge model is built with Higgs in 210⊙126⊙10 representations and intermediate symmetry $$SU(3)_c \otimes SU(2)_L \otimes SU(2)_R \otimes U(1)_{B - L} .$$ . The vacuum of the210 is in a two-dimensional stratum. We consider the nonlinear elliptic degenerate equation (1) $$ - x^2 \left( {\frac{{\partial ^2 u}}{{\partial x^2 }} + \frac{{\partial ^2 u}}{{\partial y^2 }}} \right) + 2u = f(u)in\Omega _a ,$$ where $$\Omega _a = \left\{ {(x,y) \in \mathbb{R}^2 ,0< x< a,\left| y \right|< a} \right\}$$ for some constanta>0 andf is aC functions on ? such thatf(0)=f′(0)=0. Our main result asserts that: ifuC \((\bar \Omega _a )\) satisfies (2) $$u(0,y) = 0for\left| y \right|< a,$$ thenx ?2 u(x,y)∈C \(\left( {\bar \Omega _{a/2} } \right)\) and in particularuC \(\left( {\bar \Omega _{a/2} } \right)\) .  相似文献

Using the formfactors which are entire analytic functions in a momentum space, nonlocality is introduced for a wide class of interaction Lagrangians in the quantum theory of one-component scalar field φ(x). We point out a regularization procedure which possesses the following features:
  1. The regularizedS δ matrix is defined and there exists the limit $$\mathop {\lim }\limits_{\delta \to 0} S^\delta = S.$$
  2. The Green positive-frequency functions which determine the operation of multiplication in \(S \cdot S^ + \mathop = \limits_{Df} S \circledast S^ + \) can be also regularized ?δ and there exists the limit $$\mathop {\lim }\limits_{\delta \to 0} \circledast ^\delta = \circledast \equiv .$$
  3. The operator \(J(\delta _1 ,\delta _2 ,\delta _3 ) = S^{\delta _1 } \circledast ^{\delta _2 } S^{\delta _3 + } \) is continuous at the point δ123=0.
  4. $$S^\delta \circledast ^\delta S^{\delta + } \equiv 1at\delta > 0.$$ Consequently, theS-matrix is unitary, i.e. $$S \circledast S^ + = S \cdot S^ + = 1.$$

Using algebraic methods, we find the three-loop relation between the bare and physical couplings of one-flavourD-dimensional QED, in terms of Γ functions and a singleF 32 series, whose expansion nearD=4 is obtained, by wreath-product transformations, to the order required for five-loop calculations. Taking the limitD→4, we find that the \(\overline {MS} \) coupling \(\bar \alpha (\mu )\) satisfies the boundary condition $$\begin{gathered} \frac{{\bar \alpha (m)}}{\pi } = \frac{\alpha }{\pi } + \frac{{15}}{{16}}\frac{{\alpha ^3 }}{{\pi ^3 }} + \left\{ {\frac{{11}}{{96}}\zeta (3) - \frac{1}{3}\pi ^2 \log 2} \right. \hfill \\ \left. { + \frac{{23}}{{72}}\pi ^2 - \frac{{4867}}{{5184}}} \right\}\frac{{\alpha ^4 }}{{\pi ^4 }} + \mathcal{O}(\alpha ^5 ), \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ wherem is the physical lepton mass and α is the physical fine structure constant. Combining this new result for the finite part of three-loop on-shell charge renormalization with the recently revised four-loop term in the \(\overline {MS} \) β-function, we obtain $$\begin{gathered} \Lambda _{QED}^{\overline {MS} } \approx \frac{{me^{3\pi /2\alpha } }}{{(3\pi /\alpha )^{9/8} }}\left( {1 - \frac{{175}}{{64}}\frac{\alpha }{\pi } + \left\{ { - \frac{{63}}{{64}}\zeta (3)} \right.} \right. \hfill \\ \left. { + \frac{1}{2}\pi ^2 \log 2 - \frac{{23}}{{48}}\pi ^2 + \frac{{492473}}{{73728}}} \right\}\left. {\frac{{\alpha ^2 }}{{\pi ^2 }}} \right), \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ at the four-loop level of one-flavour QED.  相似文献

We calculate, exactly, the next-to-leading correction to the relation between the \(\overline {MS} \) quark mass, \(\bar m\) , and the scheme-independent pole mass,M, and obtain $$\begin{gathered} \frac{M}{{\bar m(M)}} \approx 1 + \frac{4}{3}\frac{{\bar \alpha _s (M)}}{\pi } + \left[ {16.11 - 1.04\sum\limits_{i = 1}^{N_F - 1} {(1 - M_i /M)} } \right] \hfill \\ \cdot \left( {\frac{{\bar \alpha _s (M)}}{\pi }} \right)^2 + 0(\bar \alpha _s^3 (M)), \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ as an accurate approximation forN F?1 light quarks of massesM i <M. Combining this new result with known three-loop results for \(\overline {MS} \) coupling constant and mass renormalization, we relate the pole mass to the \(\overline {MS} \) mass, \(\bar m\) (μ), renormalized at arbitrary μ. The dominant next-to-leading correction comes from the finite part of on-shell two-loop mass renormalization, evaluated using integration by parts and checked by gauge invariance and infrared finiteness. Numerical results are given for charm and bottom \(\overline {MS} \) masses at μ=1 GeV. The next-to-leading corrections are comparable to the leading corrections.  相似文献

Employing an X-ray interferometer the dispersion correction Δf′ of the forward atomic scattering amplitude \(f = z + \Delta f' + \Delta f''\) of Nickel is measured using CuK \(\bar \alpha \) -radiation. Since \(\lambda _{CuK\bar \alpha } /\lambda _{K - edge Ni} = 1.037 \approx 1\) a value of Δf′ close to theK-absorption edge is obtained. The result $$\Delta f\prime = - 1.45 \pm 7.6\% $$ is compared with experimental values by Doan, Kiessing and Lameris and Prins and also theoretical values by Hönl, Dauben and Templeton and Cromer. The present value is considerably smaller than all theoretical estimates. It is the most accurate value measured so far and-except for the value measured by Kiessing-aggrees with the other experimental values within their (comparatively large) error limits.  相似文献

The decayf 1(1285)→ρ0(770)γ was studied at VES spectrometer of IHEP. Clear signal off 1(1285) is seen in the effective mass spectrum of the π+π?γ system in the reaction π?γN→π+π?π?γN at the momentum $P_{\pi ^ - } = 37 GeV/c$ . The branching fraction of decayf 1(1285)→ρ0(770)γ has been found to be $$BR(f_1 (1285) \to \rho ^0 (770)\gamma ) = (2.8 \pm 0.7(stat) \pm 0.6(syst)) \cdot 10^{ - 2} .$$ The ratio of the helicity amplitudes for ρ0 meson in its rest frame was determined by the analysis of angular distributions: $$\rho _{00} /\rho _{11} = 3.9 \pm 0.9(stat) \pm 1.0(syst).$$   相似文献

For the absolute value |C|=(C*C)1/2 and the Hilbert-Schmidt norm ∥CHS=(trC*C)1/2 of an operatorC, the following inequality is proved for any bounded linear operatorsA andB on a Hilbert space $$|| |A|---|B| ||_{HS} \leqq 2^{1/2} ||A - B||_{HS} $$ . The corresponding inequality for two normal state ? and ψ of a von Neumann algebraM is also proved in the following form: $$d(\varphi ,\psi ) \leqq ||\xi (\varphi ) - \xi (\psi )|| \leqq 2^{1/2} d(\varphi ,\psi )$$ . Here ξ(χ) denotes the unique vector representative of a state χ in a natural positive coneP ? forM, andd(?, ψ) denotes the Bures distance defined as the infimum (which is also the minimum) of the distance of vector representatives of ? and ψ. In particular, $$||\xi (\varphi _1 ) - \xi (\varphi _2 )|| \leqq 2^{1/2} ||\xi _1 - \xi _2 ||$$ for any vector representatives ξ j of ? j ,j=1, 2.  相似文献

The decay modesΣ ± ± γ, Σ +,Σ + →pe + e }- were studied in the 81 cm Saclay hydrogen bubble chamber. In the radiative decayΣ ± ± γ only low momentum pions which stop in the chamber were accepted. We obtain the following branching ratios: (1) $$\frac{{\Gamma {\text{(}}\sum ^{\text{ + }} \to n\pi ^ + \gamma , p_{\pi + }^*< 110{\text{ MeV/c)}}}}{{\Gamma {\text{(}}\sum ^{\text{ + }} \to n\pi ^ + )}} = (2.7 \pm 0.5) \times 10^{ - 4} ,$$ (2) $$\frac{{\Gamma {\text{(}}\sum ^ - \to n\pi ^ - \gamma , p_{\pi - }^*< 110{\text{ MeV/c)}}}}{{\Gamma {\text{(}}\sum ^ - \to n\pi ^ - )}} = (1.0 \pm 0.2) \times 10^{ - 4} ,$$ (3) $$\frac{{\Gamma {\text{(}}\sum ^ + \to p\gamma {\text{)}}}}{{\Gamma {\text{(}}\sum ^ + \to p\pi ^0 )}} = (2.1 \pm 0.3) \times 10^{ - 3} ,$$ (4) $$\frac{{\Gamma {\text{(}}\sum ^ + \to pe^ + e^ - {\text{)}}}}{{\Gamma {\text{(}}\sum ^ + \to p\pi ^0 )}} = (1.5 \pm 0.9) \times 10^{ - 5} .$$ The radiative branching ratios (1) and (2) agree well with theoretical calculations and confirm very strongly the assignmentS wave toΣ ? →nπ ? andP wave toΣ + + decay. The branching ratio (4) is based on 3 events with very low invariant masses of the electron-positron pair, being most probably radiative decays with internal conversion of theγ-ray. Combining (3) and (4) we obtain for the conversion coefficientρ: in agreement with predictions from electrodynamics.  相似文献
