In this article, the notion of Lp-mixed curvature images is introduced, Lp-curvature images being a special case. Lutwak and Zhang proposed the notion of L p -centroid body. Further, Ma gave the definition of L p -mixed centroid body, and obtained affirmative form for the Shephard type problems of L p -mixed centroid body. In this article, we first give another affirmative form of the Shephard type problems for L p -mixed centroid body, meanwhile, obtain its negative form. Next, we also give an extension of the generalized Funk’s section theorem for L p -mixed centroid body. Finally, we establish two monotonicity inequalities of L p -mixed centroid body.  相似文献

We establish the cyclic inequality for i-th L p-dual mixed volume and Lp-dual Urysohn inequality between p-mean width and Lp-dual quermassintegral. We derive a sharp nonasymptotic bound of parameter estimation of the L1/2 regularization.The bound shows that the solutions of the L1/2 regularization can achieve a loss within logarithmic factor of an ideal mean squared error and therefore underlies the feasibility and effectiveness of the L1/2regularization.Interestingly,when applied to compressive sensing,the L1/2 regularization scheme has exhibited a very promising capability of completed recovery from a much less sampling information.As compared with the Lp(0 p 1) penalty,it is appeared that the L1/2 penalty can always yield the most sparse solution among all the Lp penalty when 1/2 ≤ p 1,and when 0 p 1/2,the Lp penalty exhibits the similar properties as the L1/2 penalty.This suggests that the L1/2 regularization scheme can be accepted as the best and therefore the representative of all the Lp(0 p 1) regularization schemes.  相似文献

In this paper we study the isometric extension problem and show that every surjective isometry between the unit spheres of Lp (μ) (1 p ∞, p≠2) and a Banach space E can be extended to a linear isometry from Lp(μ) onto E, which means that if the unit sphere of E is (metrically) isometric to the unit sphere of Lp(μ), then E is linearly isometric to Lp(μ). We also prove that every surjective 1-Lipschitz or anti-1-Lipschitz map between the unit spheres of Lp (μ1, H1) and Lp(μ2,H2) must be an isometry and can be extended to a linear isometry from Lp (μ1,H1) to Lp (μ2,H2), where H1 and H2 are Hilbert spaces.  相似文献

Under study are the measure-compact operators and almost compact operators in L p . We construct an example of a measure-compact operator that is not almost compact. Introducing two classes of closed linear operators in L p , we prove that the resolvents of these operators are almost compact or measure-compact. We present methods for the reduction of linear functional equations of the second kind in L p with almost compact or measure-compact operators to equivalent linear integral equations in L p with quasidegenerate Carleman kernels.  相似文献

We present a short proof of the sharpness of the Calderón-Lozanovskii interpolation construction in couples of weighted L p spaces in the “lower triangle,” i.e., for operators from a couple { L p0 (V 0), L p1 (V 1)} to a couple {L q0 (U 0), L q1 (U 1)} with p 0 ? q 0 and p 1 ? q 1. This generalizes the well-known result due to Dmitriev and Semenov on the sharpness of the Riesz-Thorin interpolation theorem in the “lower triangle” for L p spaces on intervals.  相似文献

The main idea of this paper is to clarify why it is sometimes incorrect to interpolate inequalities in a “formal” way. For this we consider two Hardy type inequalities, which are true for each parameter α≠0 but which fail for the “critical” point α=0. This means that we cannot interpolate these inequalities between the noncritical points α=1 and α=?1 and conclude that it is also true at the critical point α=0. Why? An accurate analysis shows that this problem is connected with the investigation of the interpolation of intersections (NL p(w0), N∩Lp(w1)), whereN is the linear space which consists of all functions with the integral equal to 0. We calculate theK-functional for the couple (NL p(w0),NL p (w1)), which turns out to be essentially different from theK-functional for (L p(w0), Lp(w1)), even for the case whenNL p(wi) is dense inL p(wi) (i=0,1). This essential difference is the reason why the “naive” interpolation above gives an incorrect result.  相似文献

The uniqueness of monosplines and perfect splines of leastL p-norm is treated in the framework of generalized monosplines and total positivity. The analysis is based on the invariance properties of the degree of a certain mapping and on a new composition result for totally positive kernels. For theL p-case 1<p<∞, uniqueness is shown under the same extra conditions as were previously shown to be needed in theL p-case. We prove a number of results concerning isomorphisms between spaces of the type Lp(X), where X is a separable p-Banach space and 0 < p < 1. Our results imply that the quotient of Lp([0, 1] × [0, 1]) by the subspace of functions depending only on the first variable is not isomorphic to Lp, answering a question of N. T. Peck. More generally if B0 is a sub-σ-algebra of the Borel sets of [0, 1], then Lp([0, 1])Lp([0, 1], B0) is isomorphic to Lp if and only if Lp([0, 1], B0) is complemented. We also show that Lp has, up to isomorphism, at most one complemented subspace non-isomorphic to Lp and classify completely those spaces X for which Lp(X) ? Lp. To this end, we introduce a new method of constructing positive C0-semigroups on Lp associated with sesquilinear (not necessarily sectorial) forms in L2. Let(Ω,E,P)be a probability space,F a sub-σ-algebra of E,Lp(E)(1 p+∞)the classical function space and Lp F(E)the L0(F)-module generated by Lp(E),which can be made into a random normed module in a natural way.Up to the present time,there are three kinds of conditional risk measures,whose model spaces are L∞(E),Lp(E)(1 p+∞)and Lp F(E)(1 p+∞)respectively,and a conditional convex dual representation theorem has been established for each kind.The purpose of this paper is to study the relations among the three kinds of conditional risk measures together with their representation theorems.We first establish the relation between Lp(E)and Lp F(E),namely Lp F(E)=Hcc(Lp(E)),which shows that Lp F(E)is exactly the countable concatenation hull of Lp(E).Based on the precise relation,we then prove that every L0(F)-convex Lp(E)-conditional risk measure(1 p+∞)can be uniquely extended to an L0(F)-convex Lp F(E)-conditional risk measure and that the dual representation theorem of the former can also be regarded as a special case of that of the latter,which shows that the study of Lp-conditional risk measures can be incorporated into that of Lp F(E)-conditional risk measures.In particular,in the process we find that combining the countable concatenation hull of a set and the local property of conditional risk measures is a very useful analytic skill that may considerably simplify and improve the study of L0-convex conditional risk measures.∞  相似文献

We prove Jackson, realization, and converse theorems for Freud weights inL p, 0<p ≤ ∞. Even forp ≥ 1, our conditions on the weight in our Jackson theorems are far less restrictive than those previously imposed. Moreover, the method—of first approximating by a spline, and then by a polynomial—is new in this context, and of intrinsic interest, since it avoids the use of orthogonal polynomials for Freud weights. We establish some properties of the modulus of smoothness, valid inL p for 0<p ≤ ∞. Since theK-functional is identically zero inL p,p<1, the analysis of the modulus of continuity involves a different tool, namely, realization, which works inL p for all 0<p ≤ ∞.
