The use of retention time locking (RTL) in the development of unified procedures for the detection and quantitative determination of drugs in biological fluids was considered. With consideration for the use of RTL, a chromatographic procedure with flame-ionization and mass-selective detection was developed for the detection and quantitative determination of opiates and their synthetic analogs; phenylalkylamine derivatives; cocaine; ketamine; and other narcotic drugs, their derivatives, and metabolites in urine. The analytical ranges for chromatography–mass spectrometry were 0.05–1000 and 0.005–1000 g/mL under the conditions of total ion current (TIC) scanning and selected ion monitoring (SIM), respectively. With flame-ionization detection (GC–FID), the analytical range was 0.5–1000 g/mL.  相似文献

This paper is the second of a series dealing with clusters formation mechanism. In part 1, water clusters with the addition of an electrophilic molecule such as ethanol were studied by Time Of Flight Mass Spectrometry (TOFMS). Mass distributions of molecular clusters of ethanol, water and ethanol–water mixed clusters, were obtained by means of two different ionization methods: Electron Ionization (EI) and picosecond laser Photo–Ionization (PI) at a wavelength of 355 nm. In part 2, the same experimental approach was employed to obtain mass spectra of clusters generated by acetone-water binary mixtures with a different composition. Strong dependence of the mass spectra of clusters with EI and PI on the acetone-water mixing ratio was observed. It was shown that the spectral pattern changes gradually and water-rich cluster signals become fainter while acetone-rich cluster signals become more intensive with increasing acetone concentrations from 0.3% to 40%. Owing to the hydrogen bond acceptor character of acetone, its self-association is discouraged with respect to ethanol. The autocorrelation function (AF) was used to analyze the variation of the water clusters composition with the increase of the acetone concentration in terms of fundamental periodicities. However, although acetone and ethanol present a very different hydrogen-bonding ability, similarly to ethanol-water system, in acetone–water system the formation of water-rich clusters and subsequent metastable fragmentation are the dominant process that determine the clusters distribution, irrespective of the ionization process, while the ionization process significantly affects the acetone-rich clusters distribution.

In this study, inward matrix products are used to construct a theoretical framework where new space-time structures of arbitrary dimensions can be built up. The mathematical theory, based on inward matrix algebra, allows the derivation and integration of vectors and matrices composed by well-behaved functional elements. Every function element is associated at least to a linearly independent variable connected to such an element. As examples are discussed first the construction of general density functions, followed by the reformulation of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. A general N-dimensional classical universe is presented, where not only space but also time, mass, energy and other related physical properties acquire an arbitrary hypermatrix structure. In this hypothetical framework scalar values related to physical quantities can be alternatively associated to cosine-like measures in the chosen spaces. Finally, simple problems on special relativity are briefly discussed from this point of view.  相似文献

A position sensitive pixel-based detector array, referred to as the IonCCD, has been employed to characterize the ion optics and ion beam focusing in a custom built mass spectrometer designed for soft and reactive landing of mass-selected ions onto surfaces. The IonCCD was placed at several stages along the path of the ion beam to determine the focusing capabilities of the various ion optics, which include an electrodynamic ion funnel, two radiofrequency (rf)-only collision quadrupoles, a mass resolving quadrupole, a quadrupole bender, and two einzel lens assemblies. The focusing capabilities of the rf-only collision quadrupoles and einzel lenses are demonstrated by large decreases in the diameter of the ion beam. In contrast, the mass resolving quadrupole is shown to significantly defocus the mass-selected ion beam resulting in an expansion of the measured ion beam diameter. Combined with SIMION simulations, we demonstrate that the IonCCD can identify minor errors in the alignment of charged-particle optics that result in erratic trajectories and significant deflections of the ion beam. This information may be used to facilitate the design, assembly, and maintenance of custom-built mass spectrometry instrumentation.  相似文献

Toluene is the major volatile organic compound found in glue and is often used as a hallucinogenic for abusers. Use with alcohol increases the risk of adverse effects from toluene exposure. In this study, a headspace and cryotrapping gas chromatography–mass spectrometry method was developed and validated for the determination of toluene and ethanol in urine. Experimental and instrumental variables were investigated to optimize the method for sensitivity. Excess sodium sulfate was used as the salting-out reagent before the headspace protocol. Linear least squares regression with a 1/x weighting factor was used to construct calibration curves from 0.002 to 0.4?µg?mL?1 for toluene and 10 to 2000?µg?mL?1 for ethanol. The correlation coefficients exceeded 0.9993. The limits of detection were 0.0005?µg?mL?1 for toluene and 0.21?µg?mL?1 for ethanol. Intraday and interday precisions were within 5.4 and 11.5%, while intraday and interday accuracies were between ?11.3 to ?4.0% and ?11.0 to 1.2%, respectively. The method validation results for selectivity and stability were satisfactory. The validation results were used to estimate the expanded uncertainty and the contribution of individual steps in the method for the quantification of toluene and ethanol. The relative expanded uncertainties were 14.1% for toluene and 4.6% for ethanol.  相似文献

A simple and efficient procedure was developed to determine eight herbicides in corn flour by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry in selected ion-monitoring mode. Samples were prepared with a modified, quick, easy, rapid, effective, rugged, and safe procedure. The type and volume of extraction solvent, type and amount of adsorbent, and time of sonication were optimized. The protocol method was rigorously verified. The mean recoveries were from 85 to 108% at various fortification levels with relative standard deviations below 15% and limits of quantification from 4 to 48?ng g?1. Abstract

A rapid, simple, and specific liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization–mass spectrometric method has been developed and validated for the determination of fluoxetine in human plasma. The method was validated with a linear range of 0.5–100 ng mL?1, and the lowest limits of quantification were 0.5 ng mL?1 for fluoxetine. The extraction efficiencies were about 65% and recoveries of method were in the range of 94.0–97.5%. The intraday relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 11% and interday RSD was within 12%. The method has been successfully applied to the evaluation of pharmacokinetics and bioequivalence of fluoxetine.  相似文献

Time of flight method (TOF) is used to measure the electron and hole mobility of a spin coated regioregular poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) film. We find that both electron and hole have the same mobility (about 3.8~3.9×10?4 cm2/Vs) at an applied field of 120 kV/cm. It is demonstrated in this paper that the electron‐hole recombination process may prevent the electron transport in the material due to the fact that the carrier recombination time is much shorter than the transit time.  相似文献

Ultrasound-assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction was coupled with gas chromatography—mass spectrometry for the determination of phthalate esters in milk. Dimethyl phthalate, diethyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, benzyl butyl phthalate, bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, and dioctyl phthalate were analyzed in five brands of pasteurized Turkish milk. The efficiencies of the extraction procedure for the analytes were between 66 and 100%. The linear dynamic ranges of the calibration curves were from 0.025 to 1.000 µg/mL with correlation coefficients exceeding 0.99. The precision of the method is acceptable with relative standard deviation values below 5%. Dibutyl phthalate and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate were commonly observed in milk.  相似文献

Olive waste is a potential resource due to its rich variety of biologically active compounds. To investigate chemical components of olive waste, the selected samples were extracted using ultrasound assisted enzyme hydrolysis and petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and n-butyl alcohol were used to obtain a series of solvent extracts. Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis showed hydrocarbons, esters, acids, alcohols, and ketones present in the extracts. Some fatty acids were considered to be predominant; it is noteworthy that phenolic compounds were detected in the ethyl acetate extract fraction. Furthermore, the primary phenolic compounds were also determined by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry. The possible fragmentation patterns have been proposed in positive and negative ion modes; the main fragment ions were observed from the loss of methyl, hydroxyl, or carboxyl groups. The compounds showed different fragmentation ions types in both positive and negative ionization modes and gave structural information on the main phenolic compounds in olive waste. The results of this study may be used to identify valuable active compounds and guide commercial applications of olive waste.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective method was developed to determine pesticides in carrots by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry following the development of an optimized extraction procedure. The method was validated for 30 organochlorine pesticides for gas chromatography with electron capture detection obtaining limit of detection from 0.18 to 0.92?µg/kg except for cis- and trans-permenthrin. Twenty-six carrot samples were analyzed and six pesticides were detected. The results compared with the accepted maximum residue levels in correlation to crop origin.  相似文献

The aim of this work was to determine the parameters that have decisive roles in microwave-assisted reactions and to develop a model, using computational chemistry, to predict a priori the type of reactions that can be improved under microwaves. For this purpose, a computational study was carried out on a variety of reactions, which have been reported to be improved under microwave irradiation. This comprises six types of reactions. The outcomes obtained in this study indicate that the most influential parameters are activation energy, enthalpy, and the polarity of all the species that participate. In addition to this, in most cases, slower reacting systems observe a much greater improvement under microwave irradiation. Furthermore, for these reactions, the presence of a polar component in the reaction (solvent, reagent, susceptor, etc.) is necessary for strong coupling with the electromagnetic radiation. We also quantified that an activation energy of 20–30 kcal mol−1 and a polarity (μ) between 7–20 D of the species involved in the process is required to obtain significant improvements under microwave irradiation.  相似文献

A procedure was developed for the gas-chromatographic determination of promedol (trimeperidine) and ketamine in whole blood with mass-selective detection. The detection limit for trimeperidine and ketamine in blood is 0.05 g/mL. The analytical range is 0.1–5.0 g/mL. The maximum within-series errors in the determination of the studied compounds are no higher than 14.1% for concentrations of 0.10 g/mL and 7.47% for concentrations of 1.0 g/mL. The maximum between-series relative errors are 5.75% for concentrations of 0.10 g/mL and 2.7% for concentrations of 1.0 g/mL. The procedure can be used in toxicological and clinical analyses.  相似文献

A solid phase derivative extraction method using acetic anhydride was developed for the determination of chlorophenols and alkylphenols in water and fruit juice by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). The quantitative extraction was performed by passing 100 mL of sample prepared in 0.1 mol L?1 sodium hydroxide through a column packed with 500 mg of a strong anion-exchange resin at a flow rate of 0.75 mL min?1. The retained phenols were quantitatively derivatized in the column by the introduction of 0.25 mL of acetic anhydride. The derivatized phenols were eluted with 3.0 mL of hexane and the effluent was dried under nitrogen. The final volume was diluted to fifty microliters with hexane and analyzed by GC–MS. Under the optimum conditions, preconcentration factors of 2000, limits of detection between 0.005 and 1.796 µg L?1, and relative standard deviations of 2.1% to 6.7% were obtained. The method was successfully applied to wastewater and fruit juice and the recoveries of phenols were between 76% and 111%.  相似文献

A facile method based on liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry was established to determine floridoside and isofloridoside in red algae. Correlation coefficients of the calibration curves were larger than 0.9989, indicated good linearity. Detection limits of floridoside and isofloridoside were 0.05 and 0.20 ng/mL, respectively, and the limits of quantification were 0.1 and 0.4 ng/mL. The recoveries varied from 75.7% to 76.8%, and relative standard deviations of inter-day and intra-day precision were lower than 8.5% (n = 5). The effects of sea level variations in the intertidal zone on the osmotic role of floridoside and isofloridoside concentrations in seven red algae were investigated. It was shown that algae that inhabit higher levels in the intertidal zone contained higher concentrations of floridoside and isofloridoside. The results suggest that the presence of direct sun, exposure time, and temperature influenced to the concentrations of floridoside and isofloridoside due to the osmotic pressure adjustments.  相似文献

Olive oil has great human health benefits and is an important component of the Mediterranean diet. Its quality, sensory attributes, and oxidative stability are linked to the presence of minor compounds. Vitamin E (α-tocopherol) is a key component in these properties. In this work, solid-phase microextraction coupled to gas chromatography–mass spectrometry was used for the determination of α-tocopherol in olive oil. The analytical performance of the method has been assessed in fortified olive oil with negligible vitamin E concentrations. The calibration curve was linear from 0.020 to 0.500?mg/g. The limits of detection and quantification were 0.006 and 0.021?mg/g, respectively. Intraday and interday relative standard deviations were 3.2 and 10.0, respectively, and were concentration independent. The method was used for the determination of α-tocopherol in virgin and extra virgin olive oil, reporting average concentrations of 0.044?±?0.03 and 0.200?±?0.05?mg/g, respectively. Overall, the method is simple, sensitive, rapid, and solvent free, and provided high recoveries of 97.7?±?3.1%. In addition, vitamin E stability in extra-virgin olive oil was characterized by a shelf-life study.  相似文献
