Summary Some difficulties and unsolved problems of the stability theory of continuous systems will be investigated. After having closely examined the meaning and importance of the choices of the distance between two configuration of a continuous system, the problem of the equilibrium stability of elastic structures will be formulated in a proper functional space, where it is possible to demonstrate the validity of the energy criterion as sufficient condition of stability in Lyapunov's sense.Lastly, are pointed out the still open problems on the stability criterion based on the second variation of the potential energy of which a partial proof is given.
Sommario Vengono esaminate alcune difficoltà e problemi ancora aperti nella teoria della stabilità dei sistemi continui. Dopo aver approfondito il significato e l'importanza della scelta della distanza tra due configurazioni di un sistema continuo, il problema della stabilità dell'equilibrio delle strutture elastiche viene formulato in un opportuno spazio funzionale, nel quale è possibile dimostrare la validità del criterio dell'energia come condizione sufficiente di stabilità nel senso di Lyapunov.Si puntualizzano infine le questioni ancora aperte sul criterio di stabilità basato sulla variazione seconda e del quale si fornisce una parziale giustificazione.

This paper presents a study to describe the behaviour of a non-equilibrium bubble in a fluid (Fluid 1) that is in contact with another fluid (Fluid 2). Fluid 2 is assumed to incorporate some elastic properties, which are modelled through a pressure term at the fluid–fluid interface. The Laplace equation is assumed to be valid in both fluids and the boundary integral method is employed to simulate the dynamics of the bubble and the fluid–fluid interface. Interesting characteristic phenomena concerning bubble oscillations and the deformation of the fluid–fluid interface are studied for a range of parameters (distance from the fluid–fluid interface, density ratios of the two fluids and elastic properties of Fluid 2). Some of the phenomena observed are jet formation in the bubble, bubble splitting, a ring bubble separating from the main bubble, mushroom-shaped bubbles and the dynamic elevation of the elastic interface. Most of these phenomena are only observed when Fluid 2 possesses some elastic properties (besides the usual formation of a high speed liquid jet). Comparisons with experimental observations confirm the validity of our simulations.  相似文献

将齿轮传动系统的齿轮轴承简化为具有集中质量的固支梁,将齿轮受到啮合齿轮的意外撞击看成是质量块对梁的冲击。给出弯扭组合的Mises屈服条件,指出传动轴受冲击时不能忽略扭矩作用。分析了弯曲和扭转作用下的结构响应,进行了应变率修正,给出特殊情况下弯扭响应的简化分析。算例表明,弯扭冲击下传动轴的横向位移和扭转角都较大,不可忽略应变率效应;传动轴直径是影响横向位移的重要因素。  相似文献

The purpose of this work is the formulation and discussion of an approach to the modelling of anisotropic elastic and inelastic material behaviour at large deformation. This is done in the framework of a thermodynamic, internal-variable-based formulation for such a behaviour. In particular, the formulation pursued here is based on a model for plastic or inelastic deformation as a transformation of local reference configuration for each material element. This represents a slight generalization of its modelling as an elastic material isomorphism pursued in earlier work, allowing one in particular to incorporate the effects of isotropic continuum damage directly into the formulation. As for the remaining deformation- and stress-like internal variables of the formulation, these are modelled in a fashion formally analogous to so-called structure tensors. On this basis, it is shown in particular that, while neither the Mandel nor back stress is generally so, the stress measure thermodynamically conjugate to the plastic “velocity gradient”, containing the difference of these two stress measures, is always symmetric with respect to the Euclidean metric, i.e., even in the case of classical or induced anisotropic elastic or inelastic material behaviour. Further, in the context of the assumption that the intermediate configuration is materially uniform, it is shown that the stress measure thermodynamically conjugate to the plastic velocity gradient is directly related to the Eshelby stress. Finally, the approach is applied to the formulation of metal plasticity with isotropic kinematic hardening.  相似文献

Variational principles for anisotropic and nonhomogeneous elasticity, established by the authors in a previous paper, have been applied to the derivation of lower and upper bounds for the elastic moduli of polycrystals in terms of the moduli of the constituting crystals. The results hold for arbitrary crystal shapes. Explicit results tor cubic polycrystals showed that the present bounds are a considerable improvement of the well-known Voigt and Reuss bounds. Good agreement with experimental results has been obtained.  相似文献

For a dynamic system of a rigid hub and a flexible cantilever beam, the traditional hybrid coordinate model assumes the small deformation in structural dynamics where axial and transverse displacements at any point in the beam are uncoupled. This traditional hybrid coordinate model is referred as the zeroth-order approximation coupling model in this paper, which may result in divergence to the dynamic problem of some rigid–flexible coupling systems with high rotational speed. In this paper, characteristics of a flexible hub-beam system with a tip mass is studied. Based on the Hamilton theory and the finite element discretization method, and in consideration of the second-order coupling quantity of the axial displacement caused by the transverse displacement of the beam, the rigid–flexible coupling dynamic model (referred as the first-order approximation coupling (FOAC) model in this paper) and the corresponding model in non-inertial system for the flexible hub-beam system with a tip mass are presented firstly, then the dynamic characteristics of the system are studied through numerical simulations under twos cases: the large motion of the system is known and is unknown. Simulation and comparison studies using both the traditional zeroth-order model and the proposed first-order model show that even small tip mass may affect dynamic characteristics of the system significantly, which may result in the largening of vibrating amplitude and the descending of vibrating frequency of the beam, and may affect end position of the hub-beam system as well. The effect of the tip mass becomes large along with the increasing of rotating speed of large motion of the system. When the large motion of the system is at low speed, the traditional ZOAC model may lead to a large error, whereas the proposed FOAC model is valid. When the large motion is at high speed, the ZOAC model may result in divergence to the dynamic problem of the flexible hub-beam system, while the proposed second model can still accurately describe the dynamic hub-beam system.  相似文献

Summary  Modelling the elastoplastic or elastoviscoplastic behaviour of metallic materials exhibiting strain hardening and damage leads to complex nonassociative constitutive equations, sources of many theoretical and numerical troubles. The usual modelling of a nonassociative constitutive equation leads to the loss of the interesting and very useful properties of generalised standard materials deriving from the key concepts of convexity and normality. The argument that will be developed is that the bipotential concept is an appropriate answer. In the first part, after introducing the state variables generally used to describe the behaviour of metallic materials, the constitutive equations subjected to the principles of thermodynamics are derived from two potentials. The state potential gives the state laws, and the bipotential of dissipation delivers the evolution laws for state variables, through the implicit normality assumption. The second part is devoted to several particular applications to metal elastoplasticity and elastoviscoplasticity models. Received 29 March 2000; accepted for publication 26 September 2000  相似文献

分别建立了啮合齿轮子系统弯扭耦合振动模型、弹性轴子系统的弯曲振动和扭转振动模型以及齿轮箱弹性箱板子系统的横向振动模型,通过轴承多维刚度矩阵和子结构之间的受力变形协调关系将各子结构的振动模型联立起来,从而得到整个齿轮箱耦合系统的动力学模型。结合相图和庞加莱映射图分析了系统的运动特性,采用功率流方法研究了系统振动能量传递特性及其影响因素,揭示了外部激励和轴承刚度等因素对系统特性的影响,为齿轮箱系统的振动控制与结构设计提供了新的分析方法和理论依据。  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of a rectangular crack in a three-dimensional(3D)orthotropic elastic medium is investigated under a harmonic stress wave based on the non-local theory. The two-dimensional(2D) Fourier transform is applied, and the mixedboundary value problems are converted into three pairs of dual integral equations with the unknown variables being the displacement jumps across the crack surfaces. The effects of the geometric shape of the rectangular crack, the circular frequency of the incident waves,and the lattice parameter of the orthotropic elastic medium on the dynamic stress field near the crack edges are analyzed. The present solution exhibits no stress singularity at the rectangular crack edges, and the dynamic stress field near the rectangular crack edges is finite.  相似文献

为更精确地求解弹性地基薄板的动力响应,发展了一种分段时域自适应算法,通过变量在离散时段内的展开,将时空耦合的初边值问题转化为一系列递推的基于有限元(FEM)的空间问题求解,通过自适应计算保持稳定的计算精度。数值算例表明:本文解与解析解相比最大相对误差不超过3.59%;当步长较大时四阶Runge-Kutta法和Newmark法均失效,本文所提算法仍可得到满意的计算结果。  相似文献

In this paper the dynamic analysis of the double wishbone motor-vehicle suspension system using the point-joint coordinates formulation is presented. The mechanical system is replaced by an equivalent constrained system of particles and then the laws of particle dynamics are used to derive the equations of motion. Due to the presence of large number of geometric and kinematic constraints the velocity transformation approach is used to eliminate some constraints. The equations of motion in terms of the Cartesian coordinates of the particles are transformed to a reduced set in terms of relative joint variables by defining differential-algebraic equations in terms of the joint variables are equal to the number of degrees of freedom of the whole system plus the number of cut-joint constraints corresponding to cut of kinematical closed loops. Use of both the Cartesian and relative joint variables produces an efficient set of equations without loss of generality. The chosen suspension includes open and closed loops with quarter-car model.  相似文献

为建立混凝土路面结构受力分析计算模型,以Winkler弹性地基梁模型为基础,推导出了弹性地基双层梁理论的表达式;给定边界条件,利用MATLAB软件获得了无限长弹性地基梁在集中力作用下的挠度表达式。将混凝土路面结构简化为弹性地基上的双层梁,当车辆荷载作用于混凝土路面时,在集中载荷的作用下,建立了面层与基层的微分平衡方程。应用广义“初参数”法,得到了双层梁位移和应力的解析解。通过算例,对面层及基层的变形和应力进行了分析,结果表明:增大面层、基层的轴惯性矩和地基的弹性常数,可以有效地减少面层和基层的变形量,降低最大应力数值,但抗弯刚度对基层和面层的弯矩受力影响不大。最后将结果与ANSYS分析结果进行了比较,佐证了解的可靠性,研究结果可为混凝土路面结构设计提供依据。  相似文献
