In this paper, exact closed-form solutions in explicit forms are presented for transverse vibration analysis of rectangular thick plates having two opposite edges hard simply supported (i.e., Lévy-type rectangular plates) based on the Reddy’s third-order shear deformation plate theory. Two other edges may be restrained by different combinations of free, soft simply supported, hard simply supported or clamped boundary conditions. Hamilton’s principle is used to derive the equations of motion and natural boundary conditions of the plate. Several comparison studies with analytical and numerical techniques reported in literature are carried out to demonstrate accuracy of the present new formulation. Comprehensive benchmark results for natural frequencies of rectangular plates with different combinations of boundary conditions are tabulated in dimensionless form for various values of aspect ratios and thickness to length ratios. A set of three-dimensional (3-D) vibration mode shapes along with their corresponding contour plots are plotted by using exact transverse displacements of Lévy-type rectangular Reddy plates. Due to the inherent features of the present exact closed-form solution, the present findings will be a useful benchmark for evaluating the accuracy of other analytical and numerical methods, which will be developed by researchers in the future.  相似文献

It is of significance to explore benchmark analytic free vibration solutions of rectangular thick plates without two parallel simply supported edges, because the classic analytic methods are usually invalid for the problems of this category. The main challenge is to find the solutions meeting both the governing higher order partial differential equations (PDEs) and boundary conditions of the plates, i.e., to analytically solve associated complex boundary value problems of PDEs. In this letter, we extend a novel symplectic superposition method to the free vibration problems of clamped rectangular thick plates, with the analytic frequency solutions obtained by a brief set of equations. It is found that the analytic solutions of clamped plates can simply reduce to their variants with any combinations of clamped and simply supported edges via an easy relaxation of boundary conditions. The new results yielded in this letter are not only useful for rapid design of thick plate structures but also provide reliable benchmarks for checking the validity of other new solution methods.  相似文献

The case of a linearly elastic plate with free boundary conditions on the lateral side is investigated as the half-thickness ɛ tends to zero. As in hard clamped plates, the generic leading term of the asymptotic expansion of the scaled displacement is a Kirchhoff-Love field with in-plane generating functions satisfying classical bending and membrane problems of Neumann type (compare with [1]). The first boundary layer profile is of bending type, so that in the case of a membrane load the convergence of the three-dimensional solution to the two-dimensional limit one is of improved accuracy. Conditions under which the asymptotic expansion ‘starts later’ are given and the structure of the first non-vanishing term is studied.  相似文献

For a given connected graph G=(V,E), a set DtrV(G) is a total restrained dominating set if it is dominating and both 〈Dtr〉 and 〈V(G)-Dtr〉 do not contain isolate vertices. The cardinality of the minimum total restrained dominating set in G is the total restrained domination number and is denoted by γtr(G). Based on dynamic von Kármán-type equations a single-mode analysis is carried out for large-amplitude flexural forced vibration of a cylindrically orthotropic circular plate with its edge restrained nonuniformly and elastically against rotation. Numerical results are presented for static large deflection and nonlinear free and forced vibrations of isotropic and cylindrically orthotropic plates with sinusoidally restrained edges. Present values are compared with available data.
Zusammenfassung Aus dynamischen Gleichungen vom von Kármánschen Typus für die erzwungenen Schwingungen einer zylindrisch-orthotropischen Kreisplatte mit großen Amplituden und mit variabler elastischer Einspannung längs des Randes ausgehend wird eine einzelne Schwingungsform analysiert. Numerische Resultate für große statische Auslenkungen und für nichtlineare freie und erzwungene Schwingungen isotroper und zylindrisch-orthotroper Platten mit sinusoidaler Entspannung längs des Randes werden vorgelegt. Diese Resultate werden mit Werten aus der Literatur verglichen.

Recently, the present authors proposed a simple mixed Ritz-differential quadrature (DQ) methodology for free and forced vibration, and buckling analysis of rectangular plates. In this technique, the Ritz method is first used to discretize the spatial partial derivatives with respect to a coordinate direction of the plate. The DQ method is then employed to analogize the resulting system of ordinary or partial differential equations. The mixed method was shown to work well for vibration and buckling problems of rectangular plates with simple boundary conditions. But, due to the use of conventional Ritz method in one coordinate direction of the plate, the geometric boundary conditions of the problem can only be satisfied in that direction. Therefore, the conventional mixed Ritz-DQ methodology may encounter difficulties when dealing with rectangular plates involving adjacent free edges and skew plates. To overcome this difficulty, this paper presents a modified mixed Ritz-DQ formulation in which all the natural boundary conditions are exactly implemented. The versatility, accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method for free vibration analysis of thick rectangular and skew plates are tested against other solution procedures. It is revealed that the proposed method can produce highly accurate solutions for the natural frequencies of thick rectangular plates involving adjacent free edges and skew plates using a small number Ritz terms and DQ sampling points.  相似文献

Boundary-value problems of the three-dimensional asymmetric micropolar, moment theory of elasticity with free rotation are considered for thin plates. It is assumed that the total stress-strain state is the sum of the internal stress-strain state and the boundary layers, which are determined in an approximation using asymptotic analysis. Three different asymptotic forms are constructed for the three-dimensional boundary-value problem posed, depending on the values of dimensionless physical constants of the plate material. The initial approximation for the first asymptotic form leads to a theory of micropolar plates with free rotation, the initial approximation for the second asymptotic form leads to a theory of micropolar plates with constrained rotation, and the initial approximation for the third asymptotic form leads to a theory of micropolar plates with “small shear stiffness.” The corresponding micropolar boundary layers are constructed and studied. The regions of applicability of each of the theories of micropolar plates constructed are indicated.  相似文献

In this paper, we continue the study of total restrained domination in graphs, a concept introduced by Telle and Proskurowksi (Algorithms for vertex partitioning problems on partial k-trees, SIAM J. Discrete Math. 10 (1997) 529-550) as a vertex partitioning problem. A set S of vertices in a graph G=(V,E) is a total restrained dominating set of G if every vertex is adjacent to a vertex in S and every vertex of V?S is adjacent to a vertex in V?S. The minimum cardinality of a total restrained dominating set of G is the total restrained domination number of G, denoted by γtr(G). Let G be a connected graph of order n with minimum degree at least 2 and with maximum degree Δ where Δ?n-2. We prove that if n?4, then and this bound is sharp. If we restrict G to a bipartite graph with Δ?3, then we improve this bound by showing that and that this bound is sharp.  相似文献

基于周边不变形理论,结合闭口薄壁杆件约束扭转的计算分析,研究了波形钢腹板箱梁在约束扭转时混凝土悬臂板上扭转剪应力的分布,并进行了计算.通过对悬臂板在约束扭转中剪力流计算公式的推导,进一步阐述了其自由扭转剪应力及翘曲扭转剪应力的分布,指出了相关文献在这部分计算中存在的问题.通过一个简支波形钢腹板组合箱梁算例,将该文方法计算结果与ANSYS有限元计算结果进行比较.结果表明:在波形钢腹板箱梁截面中,主要由波形钢腹板承受扭转剪应力,其次是混凝土底板,底板剪应力最大值发生在底板中心处,其数值近似等于腹板剪应力的一半,而混凝土顶板和悬臂部分的扭转剪应力很小;该文计算的扭转剪应力结果在总体上符合有限元得到的扭转剪应力分布规律,在悬臂自由端为0,随着离开悬臂自由端距离的增大,扭转剪应力逐渐增大并达到峰值.  相似文献

Zhang introduced the concept of bipolar fuzzy sets as a generalization of fuzzy sets. Bipolar fuzzy sets have shown advantages in solving decision making problems than fuzzy sets. In this research paper, we study several different types of domination, including equitable domination, k-domination and restrained domination in bipolar fuzzy graphs. Let G=(V,E) be a graph. A set SV is a total restrained dominating set if every vertex is adjacent to a vertex in S and every vertex of V-S is adjacent to a vertex in V-S. A set SV is a restrained dominating set if every vertex in V-S is adjacent to a vertex in S and to a vertex in V-S. The total restrained domination number of G (restrained domination number of G, respectively), denoted by γtr(G) (γr(G), respectively), is the smallest cardinality of a total restrained dominating set (restrained dominating set, respectively) of G. We bound the sum of the total restrained domination numbers of a graph and its complement, and provide characterizations of the extremal graphs achieving these bounds. It is known (see [G.S. Domke, J.H. Hattingh, S.T. Hedetniemi, R.C. Laskar, L.R. Markus, Restrained domination in graphs, Discrete Math. 203 (1999) 61-69.]) that if G is a graph of order n?2 such that both G and are not isomorphic to P3, then . An unsteady free convective flow through porous media of viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid through a vertical porous channel with thermal radiation is studied. A magnetic field of uniform strength is applied perpendicular to the vertical channel. The magnetic Reynolds number is assumed very small so that the induced magnetic field effect is negligible. The injection and suction velocity at both plates is constant and is given by v 0. The pressure gradient in the channel varies periodically with time along the axis of the channel. The temperature difference of the plates is high enough to induce the radiative heat. Taking Hall current and Soret effect into account, equations of motion, energy, and concentration are solved. The effects of the various parameters, entering into the problem, on velocity, temperature and concentration field are shown graphically.  相似文献

Manià, have given examples of free problems of the Calculus of Variations in which it is impossible to find a piecewiseC 1 function, satisfying the same boundary conditions as the absolutely continuous optimal solution, and which simultaneously approximates both the optimal cost and, uniformly, the optimal trajectory. We investigate this question of approximation for free problems inE n. Two new hyperbolic displacement models, HPSDT1 and HPSDT2, are used for the buckling and free vibration analyses of simply supported orthotropic laminated composite plates. The models contain hyperbolic expressions to account for the parabolic distributions of transverse shear stresses and to satisfy the zero shear-stress conditions at the top and bottom surfaces of the plates. The equation of motion for thick laminated rectangular plates subjected to in-plane loads is deduced through the use of Hamilton’s principle. Closed-form solutions are obtained by using the Navier technique, and then the buckling loads and the fundamental frequencies are found by solving eigenvalue problems. The accuracy of the models presented is demonstrated by comparing the results obtained with solutions of other higher-order models given in the literature. It is found that the theories proposed can predict the fundamental frequencies and buckling loads of cross-ply laminated composite plates rather accurately.
